Seeing a couple people missing the point of Trigun after having watched Stampede, and it's probably only a few but I'm still like, please watch the original.
I see people thinking about how Vash is naive and that the whole arc is culminating into him somehow becoming a sad killer, or the end goal is humanity is awful, but Trigun is and always has been about peace. Vash always chooses peace, not because it's the easy answer, but because it is the right answer. And so often it's the tough answer, and you have to Get Good in order to make it out alive. Shoot faster, aim better than the other guy, but not to kill to incapacitate. It's the story of two innocents being cast out from Eden upon learning forbidden knowledge and now having to learn about death and violence and all the evils of mankind. But it's about talking to people and seeing the good in humanity and choosing peace. Choosing love. It's about doing the right thing, even if it doesn't go to plan, even if you get hurt and wear those scars forever. It's when you can't save anyone but try anyway.
Trigun is KNOWING that it won't work out, and that you will make mistakes, but choosing compassion in the face of it every time.
I just watched the new Trigun and I am kicking air for Vash. I thought i’d gush over the Black hair dude but no I’m full of heart eyes for Vash. Someone help
2023 Trigun Vash? A baby, the sweetest guy you will ever meet. You bring him to your house to meet your parents and they adopt him instead. 98' Vash? An absolute fool, the whole ass circus. You bring him to your house and he starts flirting with your mom, ransacks your fridge, and then gets so drunk he starts crying over doughnuts
I binge watched it yesterday and saw the last episode today. Im in SO MUCH PAIN I NEED TO SCREAM ABOUT IT CAUSE NO ONE ELSE I KNOW HAS WATCHED THE SERIES.
on one hand, I understand why nai did everything he has done, and i lowkey was rooting for him to get his paradise because he is right about how humans no matter what will keep hurting and overusing the plants till they all die. BUT i so desperately wanted vash to prove to him hes wrong, he has SO much faith in humanity that not even humanity itself has, and they keep hurting him and he keeps believing in them and keeps trying to connect with his brother and you’re just sitting there wondering WHY??? Why does he believe in them so much, to the point of hurting himself?
because he is “vash the stampede” and he’ll always believe
in a way, both the brothers have two different ideas of their paradise, their utopia. While nai’s is a place where he and his brother will never have to worry about humans abusing and killing their kind, vash’s is a world where both the species coexist and are mutually beneficial to the other. He wants everyone happy. MY HEART ACHE AS I TYPE THIS CAUSE I GENUINELY CANT SEE NAI BEING A VILLAIN, BUT I ALSO WANTED VASH RIGHT, BUT I ALSO WANTED NAI AND VASH HAPPY AGAIN, BUT I ALSO— *MENTAL BREAKDOWN*
in conclusion, i will never recover. And i love vashwood
Part two of Unholy Devotion will be told through Wolfwood's point of view.
Do you know what that means, readers? It means I'm about to write a thousand words about how beautiful Vash is. Stay tuned for me writing through tears.
