Met Jason Schwartzman today, at the Venice Film Festival. I think at least 20 people completely surrounded him after the showing of Pavements (2024). He was so incredibly kind with every single one of us, very soft-spoken, took the time for an autograp or a picture with everybody, and I mean, EVERYBODY (security had to tell him numerous times to get out of the cinema because they had to show another movie). And even outside the cinema, he kept chattering with us and taking pictures and signing photos and programs of the Festival. He thanked us numerous times for coming to see him, seeing his movies, paying him compliments. He seemed almost as happy to see us as we were to see him. I got to tell him that one of my favourite movie characters of all time was Max Fischer, from Rushmore (his first movie ever). He was pleasantly surprised, a little endeared dare I say, thanked me for that and I think he paid me a compliment as well but I kinda blacked out from the emotion. I just remember that at some point I said "Thank you for being you" and he said "Thank you for being you" and I still think I died on the spot and I am currently in heaven. It was such a nice moment, I wanted to share.

I've thought about my whole "Asa having abandonment issues" post more and came up with something.

It's less Asa scared of Arkin leaving and more like he's waiting for it. I suppose? Like, Asa wouldn't blame Arkin for leaving him. Everyone around him tends to leave eventually, and the common denominator is Asa himself.

He has such an awful self image at times and doesn't think he deserves the love that Arkin shows him. Asa doesn't exactly push him away, but if he gets the feeling that Arkin is upset with him or is spending less time with him or is interested in someone else (platonically or romantically) he'll think, "Welp, it is what it is". Asa kinda distances himself from Arkin so he can give him some space, all while also trying to get closer? Idk it's confusing. At one moment, Asa refuses to leave Arkin's side, and then the next, he'll ignore Arkin and busy himself in his work.

Asa feels like he isn't a person that can be loved for a long time </3

lol once upon a time ago i did but i kid you not, with the introduction of dh, bat and secret aliens, they were slaughtered in cold blood and i let them die LMAO

i didn’t get very far in creating them, like i designed them and created their personalities and character settings!!!! but i can’t remember if i ever named them or assigned them a proper division (that they never actually got to represent lol the biggest character setting for them was that they had big goals but kinda sucked at rapping so they never won any prelims LOL)

oh!!!! and i also have an oc who’s (future) kuukou’s adopted child LOL he ran away from an abusive home and eventually wandered into kuugen temple. it’s been a while since i thought about him so i also can’t remember his name lmao (he wanted to change his name tho to fit the harai naming conventions since both shakku and kuukou share the same ‘kuu’ kanji and idk if i ever found a name for him *wheeze*) and their story was a lesson in learning to trust and (i shit you not lmao) breaking the cycle of a learned violence LOL

i’ll dig around and see if i can’t find my old sketches of them, see if i wrote anything down and update over the weekend lol
