Well, anon, I think this would only work if they made Luke think he's just hanging out with Barbatos for the day or something. I'm just imagining Luke protesting that he's not a child and doesn't need to be babysat etc etc.

That being said, any Luke and Barbatos bonding time is precious to me. I love that they have such a cute relationship. Considering how often Luke is with Barbatos, you know that Simeon trusts Barbatos to take care of him. I see Simeon as very protective of Luke, so I can't imagine him just letting Luke hang out with anybody.

And Barbatos loves to teach Luke about baking, which is so so sweet.

So while I don't think Luke would appreciate the idea of needing a babysitter, I do think it'd be pretty easy to convince him to just go be with Barbatos for a bit while Simeon does something else lol.

While you would love to play, everyone said that it would be unfair if you did! They decided that you'd be the best caster for this, along with Simeon. Luke brings you two snacks that he prepared earlier with Barbatos while you're casting the games on DevilTube. (don't tell Beel)

Red Side: Lucifer, Mammon, Beelzebub, Diavolo, Barbatos

Lucifer – Mid – Swain, Twisted Fate - Lucifer seems like the type that would want to play Mid. - He would play mids that can roam and help other lanes easily. (This would include characters like A. Sol and, if he had to play an assassin, Talon) - He's infinitely prefers playing mages instead of assassins. - He is the playmaker on Red Team.

Mammon – JG – Master Yi, Shaco - Mammon seems like the type that would play JG (and would honestly be pretty good at it). - He would only play the JGs that people find the most annoying to fight against... - It's because he thrives off tilting the enemy team. - Nobody ever said you had to play good to win, and boy is it easy for him to tilt the enemy team by either spam laughing or by typing in all chat.

Beel – Top – Sett, Tryndamere - I feel like it's no surprise that I would put Beel in Top/solo lane. - Out of all the brothers, determining his role was the easiest. - Sett is his favorite character by far, because he relates to him. They're both big muscle boys that would do anything for the ones closest to them. - Beel has a very aggressive playstyle-- JG and Mid both love roaming Top because they know he's going to follow up.

Diavolo – ADC – Brand, Tristana - Nobody has ever imagined Dia playing League before, and I'm here to bring that to life. - He would 100% play duo lane as ADC with Barbs supporting him and you cannot change my mind. - He prefers playing mage ADCs (Brand, Ziggs, etc.), but Tristana is his go-to traditional ADC because he loves her jump. - He's actually pretty good at the game..! (He's kind of carried by his support, but that's okay.)

Barbatos – Support – Pyke, Zilean - Barbs would be Dia's unwavering support. Barbs would play any role that best supported the role Dia was playing. - Barbatos is unironically a god at Pyke? He's hitting hooks you've never seen before and could easily solo carry early game. - He's amazing at roaming, but he'll never leave his ADC alone for long. If he leaves and you try to dive Dia..? Well. Let's just say you're getting focused by him for the rest of the game. RIP - He's also scarily good with Zilean's ult timing. You thought you killed someone on his team? You thought your last hit wouldn't be enough to trigger his ult? Think again.

Blue Side: Leviathan, Satan, Asmo, Belphegor, Solomon

Leviathan – JG – Lee Sin, Lillia, Evelynn - Leviathan is comfortable in any role, with a Mid or JG preference, but it was no surprise that he ended up in the JG when playing with his brothers. - He would play Lee Sin and Eve specifically to steal Mammon's camps. He would play Lillia when he felt like countering Lucifer and Barbs, however. It's harder to roam when she's so fast. - He is an aggressive ganker and he's not afraid to tower dive... He will ping you if you do not follow up properly. (Bottom lane has been subject to that a lot---) - He is the playmaker on Blue Team. - However, because he is in Challengers, he is balanced by having Asmo and Solomon on his team... bless his heart.

Satan – Top – Heimerdinger, Ryze, Aatrox - Satan would most likely play Top or Mid, but he definitely prefers Top lane more. There is something nice about being 1v1 against an opponent and studying them. - On that note, because Satan knows that Beel is an aggressive player, paired with others that like to roam, he choses Heimerdinger and Ryze. They're the perfect picks for sitting under tower, but still getting farm. - He picks Aatrox when he's feeling particularly aggressive however... - If he wasn't playing Top, he would be playing Yuumi or even Rengar. (playing Top hasn't stopped him though. He did pick Yuumi Top one game and did surprisingly well??? maybe that's because he was attached to Levi most of the time.) - Is a map watcher and will do amazing pings/callouts for his team.

Asmo – Support – Seraphine, Sona - It should come as no surprise that Asmo would play Support. That is where all of the prettiest characters are, of course~! - There is no doubt in my mind that he would play Seraphine, Sona, Janna, Soraka, etc. There is no doubt in my mind that he would have their prettiest skins... and there is no doubt in my mind that he would have all of the pink chromas for said skins. - He does main Seraphine, however. She reminds him of himself! - He's not the best player... but he does have a lot of fun! Unfortunately, he does miss a lot of skills, but that's okay. - He's here for moral support!

Belphie – Mid – Vex, Veigar, Zoe (...Teemo?) - Belphie would play Mid if he couldn't duo with Beel... actually, he might just play Mid even if he could Duo with Beel. - Belphie LOVES playing the annoying characters. Veigar, Zoe, Teemo, you name it, he plays it. He loves picking Teemo when Lucifer chooses TF. - He has a huge preference for mages and he identifies with Vex, so that's why I think she'd be his main... Her kit would help him with the infinitely roaming Lucifer, as well. - He would be type that picks to counter, but only against Lucifer. - Satan would constantly be ganking his lane for this reason...

Solomon – ADC – Jhin, Jinx - Solomon was called in to play in your place, so he ended up in the ADC role. He would probably choose this role, anyway. - Now, I know that you're thinking he'd play a mage, but he wouldn't! He loves the more unhinged, fast paced (literally) ADCs. Jhin and Jinx are his favorites by far, but he also has a soft spot for Zeri. - ...He chose those characters based purely on aesthetics alone, but stayed for their fun playstyles. - He's not the best player, because he's new to the game, but he's an extremely quick learner. - Sometimes... he plays to aggressively for his own good.

You know? I feel dumb for this but ever since I read a Replaced!AU of MC and y/n being seperate characters I started having this situations in my head.

I guess it's more like my character??

The MC (which in my head MC stands for a name, like idk Marie Curie or whatever name you want, Michael Chandler whatever but everyone calls them MC) is just the MC in the game, because their personality and their choices are very different from what I would be/do.

I imagine my mc? (not MC, but my mc(?)) living in Purgatory Hall because honestly The House of Lamentation is too full, also my mc is a witch and she's and introvert so idk, I feel like she would get along with Solomon and the angels, in fact, she would be Besties with Sol since my mc would honestly feel very lonely and might get a little depressive, Sol being the only other human there would probably understand her. Also the three of them would parent Luke.

Also, I have a gigantic crush on Barbs so heh, that too, Sol would know and Asmo would sometimes tease that in front of Barbatos but I feel like he wouldn't really care much about it, not at first.

Like slowly some would realize, like Diavolo, but Barbatos would not pay much attention to it in the beginning since my mc seems to be already quiet and shy with people, but, when he's not around my mc tends to be a little aggresive, but it's all with love<3.

I feel like Luke, MC and my mc would probably take a lesson from Barbatos to learn how to bake something and my mc would end up just chatting with Barbs and washing dishes cause she hates to cook or bake, she just wanted an excuse to talk to Barbatos. He would find her advances adorable and would start teasing her, also because when he says something she never questions it, she respects/fears him so much she just does what he says.

I have a small moment in my head hehe.

Like everyone gathered at The Demon Lord's Castle, Asmo, without my mc hearing, tells everyone that my mc only answers to Barbatos, who didn't believe him but felt curious so Asmo tells my mc to do something and she responds with a bit of sassyness, but a few moments later when Barbatos asks her to sit suddenly she just stares and sits slowly asking if she's in trouble, Asmo and Barbatos smirking, everyone else laughing.

In my head it makes more sense sorry.

The downside would be seeing everyone paying so much attention to MC, watching Barbatos falling slowly for MC gives me the angst I need.

finally taking the time to make my way through the hard battles instead of forcing my way through s3. i've already reached that infamous amazing convo between simeon and diavolo. thoughts:

diavolo himself is very open and honest (and of course can tell when people are lying to him) and in some ways simeon is also. but because of the ways simeon is cagey about himself and the celestial realm, diavolo doesn't get along with him. (and contrast that to the ways luke is so very blunt and obvious about his feelings. hmm) it's just so interesting and crunchy to me that diavolo says he doesn't like simeon because simeon hides his intentions too well, when he is literally closest to the two characters who do this on purpose all the time.

in his 2022(?) birthday event, barbatos tells mc that he still has wants/desires despite being good at suppressing/concealing them for the sake of his job and his love for/relationship with diavolo. and he constantly constantly emphasizes that he never wants to take actions that would pit himself and diavolo against each other. since i'm only partway through s3 normal i can't talk about any s4 stuff yet but i'm excited to get to it. with lucifer, we learn as early as beel's parts in s1 that diavolo is ultra important to him when dia snaps him out of his rage in the underground tomb. we see during the video game chapter during the body swap that lucifer puts on a serious face and works hard for diavolo's sake. as soon as the stakes are literally meaningless for the real world? he can slack off as much as he wants, because none of it will reflect on diavolo. (side note: the little peeks at mephisto that various chats/events/devilgrams have been giving me are destroying me. what is UP with this guy he worships diavolo sooo much) then ofc on the romantic side there's all the times where he keeps his thoughts about mc close to his chest because he thinks his brothers are being foolish when they're open about it (can you tell i think about the hellfire newt syrup a lot)

but diavolo can't read simeon and that bothers him. like is he irritated specifically because simeon is an angel??? is it because compared to lucy and barb, simeon is a free agent who isn't loyal to him??? (personally this one veers too close to "diavolo only likes characters he has power over" territory, which is an interpretation of his character i don't really like.) is it because simeon downplays himself and denies having any particular goals/intentions or that he's "inserting" himself into devildom business?? to be sure there's subtle jabs in what he says. the whole time i felt an undercurrent of "you're overthinking this diavolo :) what's wrong? :) i'm just an angel, aren't you the demon king's amazing son? :)" then he fucking leaves!!! aaa that scene was so good.

another part of s2 hard mode has solomon ask why diavolo is hesitating to coordinate with simeon about all of the disasters, and again he says he's not fond of him. that he finds him difficult to deal with. that he's "too good" at hiding his true intentions. that he got sarcastic. and that's not surprising! solomon says that simeon has a different way of thinking that other high-ranking angels. and when it comes to mc, simeon has no problem being direct about what he wants. (he is private about his feelings, but i'd say no more than lucifer is.)

but like. i don't think simeon is doing any of this maliciously. part of him seriously misses the way things were before the brothers became demons, but simeon very much understands that no matter how much he wants it, he can't go back to that. he wrote a fuckton of books about the brothers after they left! he got demoted! and thinking about this is painful for him!

plus they both like to read and will go on and on about all the books they’ve read

Simeon is really nice and will talk with him without judging him, plus he knows when Muriel wants some alone time  

Lucio:

this one is a bit hard but I’d have to say Diavolo or Solomon 

I only say Solomon bc Lucio finds him interesting and likes watching him preform magic 

he likes Diavolo when he’s in his professional and calm ‘form’

they can chat over a glass of wine or champagne just fine

when he gets all wild and crazy like the Diavolo that we all know and love though, that’s when Lucio starts losing interests

he does however like to watch Diavolo act crazy and play pranks on others (hates when they happen to him though)

Nadia:

Barb!!! Simeon!!! (probably likes Simeon more tho)

I will ask that y’all please don't ask for continuations of other gods unless I say it’s okay to do again. This series already fills my inbox something fierce and this is a one-off that I allowed for during the request window.  If I have to make ideas for new gods while continuing a bunch of old MCs, it'll burn me out fast...

Demigod MC Series: Intro, Aphrodite, Hermes, Hades, Dionysus, Demeter, Athena, Hades Pt. 2

Diavolo

Oh, he has no problem at all hosting a child of the Underworld, hell he even throws them a welcome banquet when he finds out! Hades is a dear friend - and practically a parental figure to him growing up - so he's more than happy to take in one of his children for a year.

Diavolo is actually one of the few people that the MC can talk to about their home with any kind of fondness. Usually when they bring up things like the comforting wailing of the River Coctyus, the brothers will give them weird looks... but Diavolo knows where they're coming from!

He spent numerous summers in the Underworld growing up doing things like pestering Charon on the River Styx or playing games with Cerberus (the other one) in the Asphodel Meadows... His beach house is actually modeled after his childhood summer home in the Isles of Paradise! Really, it can be a lovely place if the gloom doesn't bother you!

So in the spirit of his fond memories, Diavolo really tried to make their time in the Devildom a fun one!... in his maybe trying a little too hard way…  

Poor MC found themselves offered pretty much everything under the moon… Tickets or exclusive passes to different cultural events/festivals, invitations to gala events, and tours of nearly every inch of Hell by the Prince himself - it was… it was a lot for the poor introverted thing…

It didn’t help that Diavolo would have a hard time gauging if they were having any fun due to their naturally melancholic nature, which only pushed him to try harder… He means well, he does. He’s just not the most in touch with what would make an anti-social doom child happy...

It took Barbatos and Lucifer stepping in for the mortal to actually start getting some much needed space and that improved their experience significantly. Sometimes less is more, Dia… Less is more. But they appreciate his efforts anyway.

Barbatos 

Also has a pretty amicable relationship with the Ruler of the Underworld, though his is much more professional compared to Diavolo’s. He actually has a good deal of appreciation for the man for taking good care of the Prince during his visits, so he sees this as an opportunity to return the favor.

Like Diavolo, he’s rather focused on making sure the MC is having a good stay in the Devildom, but he’s much more subtle about it. He’ll come by the House often to check up on them and make sure everything is to their liking... 

Even the brothers notice that he treats them like anothering visiting Lord/Lady in that way, which he would argue they very much are and should be respected as one. It’s the least the Devildom can offer their father at this point.

His visits may also be an excuse for keeping an eye on the brothers to make sure they don’t do anything to inconvenience their “young guest…” To be honest, the entire House is a little paranoid about that… Nobody wants to know the punishment for hurting MC if Barbs is the one dishing it out...

Apart from watching out for them, Barbatos tries to encourage the MC to accept the Young Lord’s gifts (while also actively advising Diavolo to go easier on them at the same time). It would be so disheartening to him if his Prince feels like he hasn’t offered them the best experience that he could… He’s sure they understand.

Any time that he invites the MC to tea, they usually end up talking about their father in some way. Barbs knows a surprising amount about the god… He’s been around about as long as Chronos - preceding the birth of Aether and Chaos themselves - so he has some stories to tell.

The MC did once ask him why he doesn’t just run everything if he’s really been around for so long... his answer was: “Kings and their kingdoms will rise and fall… Worlds upon worlds are born, then cease to be. But time is what brings about all changes… So, I think I’m perfectly content with the power I possess. Wouldn’t you be?” 

Annnd they never asked Barbs another question like that again… and people think death is scary… 

Simeon 

He was honestly a little worried for their new companion for quite a while… It’s not like there’s never any sadness in the Celestial Realm or anything, but they seem to have something else entirely…

He’s heard stories about the Underworld. He’s never been himself, that’s usually a job for the Seraphim due to the… dreary nature of the place - but he’s heard it would make the Devildom look downright festive…

If he were being honest, he had half expected the MC to be obsessed with skeletons, ghosts, and other elements of darkness but that wasn’t the case. They certainly knew a lot about those things, but they appeared to have a healthy interest in the afterlife in general, so they asked him a lot of questions about the Celestial Realm, angels, and how the souls of the blessed are treated up there… It was surprising to say the least.

Of course he did the same and, frankly, Simeon found it incredibly wasteful that so many Greek followers find themselves just wasting away in a field of nothing for so long… but that’s neither here nor there.

He was also surprised by how gentle of an influence the MC ended up being on Luke as well. He had always suspected that the little angel just needed a bridge between him and Devildom to start finding appreciation for it, and the MC fit that bill perfectly - nothing he was used to, but still approachable enough to make everything less frightening. He thanks them a great deal for that… but...

It’s just that… Well they’re just so… depressing sometimes…! He doesn’t want to blame them because it hardly seems like their fault! They’re a very kind person, it’s just an atmosphere around them… It brings him to tears if he isn’t careful…

He’s invited the MC to Purgatory Hall on multiple occasions to chat and try to make them smile… When they do, the gloom is dispelled - even just a little - and they’re a truly beautiful creature regardless. It’s just so unfortunate that their life brings so much sadness...

Even so, he actually likes the MC enough to consider basing a character on them if he ever wrote another book. Something about a gloomy but sweet protagonist at home in a world of darkness sounds appealing… doesn’t it?

Luke

He didn’t know how to feel about the MC when they met. At first, he actually thought they were just as unhappy as he was to be there due to how depressed they looked but when they told him that wasn't true, he was really confused...

The Devildom is a dark, brutish, and dangerous place. Why would anyone feel at home down here??

But… well… He would spend time with them at RAD between breaks (partially to help scare off their many, many demonic suitors) and it might be weird to say, but they really made the Devildom look beautiful… literally.

The world just looks better when they’re around! It’s really hard to describe because it’s not something you notice much until they leave, but when the MC is around everything looks more vibrant and inviting! The grass gets greener, flowers grow bigger, and butterflies/birds hover around wherever they are like they have their own gravity - the realm loves them!

It started getting hard for Luke to hang onto his disdain for the place when they made it look so appealing… And then they started talking to him about the Underworld and the creatures they’d befriended there… creatures a lot worse than any demons he’d seen there...

Like. If the MC can be good friends with a bunch of rude walking corpses, then he could probably make friends with a demon right? There’s nice ones… kind of… 

Beel. He can make friends with Beel.

Like Simeon, he does feel bad that they seem so sad all the time… but unlike the older angel, he’s a bit more understanding that this is just how they are and enjoys his time with them regardless. (It helps a lot that just being around this little bean of a boy can lift their spirits anyway).

And you know what’s even better for him? When Lord Diavolo gives the MC tickets to things that they don’t want to go to, sometimes they’ll invite him along or give them to him instead! 

He’s gone to the Devil’s Coast with MC and Simeon sooo many times by now and he loves it!! Maybe the Devildom isn’t so bad after all, I mean, it can be a lot of fun when you go to the right places, anyway.

Solomon

Oh, he finds them both deeply fascinating and utterly terrifying - so just his sort of test sub-er, person!

He kids (somewhat), Solomon isn’t that dumb/lacking in self-preservation instinct. Experimenting on a child of death in a land of the dead (even if it’s not their “home turf”) would be asking for trouble. They’d have more than enough ammunition to fight him off and if their father found out? Immortality wouldn’t even begin to save him...

That being said, questions aren’t necessarily experiments… and oh boy, does he have a lot of them.

If the MC isn’t being pestered by Diavolo or the brothers, then they’re probably having to put up with Solomon nipping at their heels trying to get them to use their powers or answer all sorts of “innocent” scientific questions…

“MC, reanimation of Greek dead requires a blood offering, correct? Do you have to sacrifice animals for that process or do you allow them to feast on your own?”

“MC, when you’re controlling a skeleton do you move the body as a whole or do you have to animate each individual bone due to their lack of ligaments?”

“Think fast!! Oh look, you just caught the skull of my good friend, Richard! Could you bring him back from that, or should I fetch the rest of him?” 🙂

They put up with it because, believe it or not, he’s not nearly the weirdest person they’ve ever met (a lot of crazy people drift in and out of the land of the dead…) and well… they’re a pretty lonely person too so it’s not like they have a lot of standards when it comes to friendships anyway.

But the second they breathe a word of this to Barbs or Diavolo, this boy is on his way to a royal restraining order… Where does he even get those skulls…?

If it isn’t too bothersome to ask, how does Zhao eventually get closer with each potential love interest?

His silly shenanigans always put a smile on my face

in a vacuum outside of the whole canon plotline of the exchange year—

with the brothers, since they all live in the same house, it’d probably be zhao just getting used to them over time that stops him from being as afraid of them, at which point the befriending and subsequent catching of feelings starts to happen. some brothers become sort-of friends more quickly since they’re good with ik (mammon, beel, asmo), or because ik likes them, even if they’re not so good with her (levi, satan) 

and of course with diavolo (as we’ve said before), he’s intrigued by zhao and so establishes himself as an amicable party early on, and quickly notes that zhao has caught his interest and starts getting to know him better. simeon and solomon are kind of similar to diavolo in that they remove themselves as being threats in zhao’s eyes early on, but they’re more passive than active amicable parties, if you know what i mean??

in solomon’s case, he’d make himself a friend of zhao’s pretty quickly, but since they lack a lot of common ground, they don’t have much to talk about for a while. they still spend time around each other, though, and solomon takes a kind of comfort in those hang-outs, even if they’re awkward and mostly mundane. also, ik likes solomon’s magic tricks, so zhao appreciates it when he entertains her with them

in simeon’s case, he’s not so much zhao’s friend as he is ik’s friend for a while - since wherever zhao is, ik usually is too, and simeon finds that he really likes doting on/playing with her, which means he doesn’t often take the time to actually talk to zhao himself for long. he does do it eventually, though, and he finds that there’s something weirdly charming about how awkwardly pleasant the guy is (plus he appreciates that zhao’s so nice to luke)

barb would be fairly distant from zhao for a time, but since his boss is after zhao a lot of the time, barb isn’t usually far behind, so they often chat a little bit in the spaces between - these little interactions build up, to the point where barb starts considering zhao more of a genuine friend than an acquaintance, and he soon starts finding himself looking for more opportunities to spend time together

i don’t have a concrete plotline for how exactly things go for every guy, but here are a few more notes for the ones that i do have ideas for!

satan + lucifer + diavolo - zhao worries about how whether he can really be a suitable father and raise ik on his own, satan has internal struggles coming from his origin and how he was raised, lucifer has his own issues from having been the primary caretaker of his family since like forever, diavolo has a not-great relationship with his own father; there’s definitely some mutual help and communication to be had here

mammon - zhao is used to frugality and struggles allowing himself or ik any luxuries even when they can afford them, while mammon overspends; they kind of help each other come to a compromise between the two. feel like zhao being a hard worker has a good influence on mammon, while mammon kind of forces zhao into being kinder to himself in general

beel - both are used to placing themselves at the centre of their past troubles - beel blames himself for not saving lilith, and while zhao certainly does shoulder some blame in the whole situation with ik’s mother, he really needs to stop stewing in it so much; they both kind of help kickstart each other into getting out of this mindset

solomon - eventually he decides to confide in zhao about how distanced he feels from humanity, and how nice it feels to just kind of hang out with him, even if it’s super mundane; this kinda hits zhao hard, and he makes a point to talk to solomon more after that - solomon notices this, which makes him feel weirdly fuzzy inside...

asmo - taking his entire conflict with helene as it happens in jtta, it holds some kind of similarities with zhao and ik’s mother, where they both hold blame in the situation, but need to let go and bring closure to the whole thing; asmo by talking it out with helene, zhao by accepting that he did what he could to make things right

after all the getting closer stuff, zhao no longer sees everyone as an active danger, but it still takes a while for him to stop perceiving being flirted with as a threat - which means he gets spooked quite a bit for a while after this, because once the love interests start catching feelings, the flirting gets turned up to like, 1000000000000

an: hey anon, thanks! you're really sweet. i'm sorry for the lateness, i was really busy. in this scenario mc for some reason don't stay with the brothers (don't question it, i just thought would be easier with she staying with barbs and sol). so here it is, hope you like it!

barbatos:

...spoiled. once you start showing signs of being sick, barbatos makes time for you.

after a good scolding, of course. mc, he told you to no play in the rain but did you listened to him? no. and now look what happened.

you're staying at the demon lord castle where he can check on you constantly. if you are just friends, you stay in one random room. if you are dating, he might let you stay on his.

might because he works for diavolo and he can't get sick, but on the other side, dude can't think about letting you all alone with a fever.

you end up in his room. he will figure something out.

barbatos leaves a bell for you to ring when you need something. checking on your temperature before work and making sure you eat all of your meals.

the brothers come to visit you and he makes a long speech: touching you only with clean hands, don't make you too tired... either way, he still makes some casual checks to see if everything is going fine (except for lucifer. he trusts lucifer will follow everything perfectly).

diavolo is always coming (we know this man is a freak for visits) and barbatos is desperate. my lord, you can't keep coming here, you will get sick! think about the risk!

personally makes soups that he read will make you better. gives your meals on record. you are amazed how the demon can keep an eye on you and manage his tasks as a butler.

if you complain about being bored despite using your D.D.D, barbatos finds books for you. asks satan for advice on your favorites, even.

when you get better, he cooks you your favorite dish while you chat and drink tea with a smiley diavolo. won't tell you but he will miss having you around all the time.

solomon:

i can't resume in one word: teased, a little spoiled. when you show up at purgatory hall's front door, sniffing, he knows what happened. he was out on the street buying some things while you and mammon were playing in the rain, and of course you would get sick.

sighs, but he has a soft smile. lets you in and you lay sleeping on his fluffy bed while he searches around for books about healing spells. turns out he can't solve this with magic, so the sorcerer decides to do it himself.

goes to the kitchen and tries to make you a soup he read was good for your health, but simeon and luke are desperately trying to keep him away.

luke is cooking everything you need and the little dog angel is happy. simeon keeps company with his soothing presence.

solomon takes notes for classes you need and stick them to your planner/book whatever you use to study. sometimes he comes back with human realm movies you couldn't find in devildom.

keeps the brothers away saying "they might make your condition worst", but the sorcerer just likes to fool them. lets asmo come because he has a soft spot for him.

pats your hair sometimes and tries a few silly jokes to make you smile. might read to you when you are sleeping or after you ask him to.

if you are too tired/weak to take a bath, he will help you without any malice. dress you if his shirts or sweaters because he thinks you look so cute with them.

also dries your hair and brushes it to you. you can't tell me otherwise.

when you get better, solomon might give you hints to move to purgatory hall (he likes having you close, mc).

Lucifer

He loves having you on his lap while he works, holding you close. He doesn't have much time, and will dedicate as much as he can to you. He loves hearing you talk, watching your expressions out of the corner of his eye. If you happen to start to fall asleep, he'll kiss your temple and ask you to get some rest, carrying you to bed when you inevitably pass out before him.

On the flip side- on days he needs comfort, he loves when you play with his hair, as he half-spoons you. He lies- dare he say it- lazily on top of you, his arm draped over you, his legs tangled with yours as he presses his face into you slightly, purring softly at your touch.

Mammon

Your thighs = his pillow, and he takes up the rest of the couch usually- oh well, more time for the two of you.

The easily flustered otaku can't quite handle cuddles that use the whole body- but if you're watching an anime together, he loves when you two link pinkies and you lean your head on him. Its so simple, yet brings him so much joy- please don't do more than that, he's already a mess-

Solomon

Shady bastard man wants cuddles and will be a little shit about it, waiting until you're really busy to come up behind you and hug you, either resting his chin on your head or shoulder- or burying into your back, just depends on height- and not beg, but he will make it difficult for you to do anything until you ask if he wants cuddles- to which the answer is yes. He likes to hold you while he's sitting, so you use him like a lounge chair, and vice versa- he likes using you as a lounge chair-

Simeon

Cuddling with Simeon is always comforting- he loves to hold you so your head is against his chest while he is reclined. He loves playing with your hair and rubbing light circles on your back as you two chat. His full attention is always on you and you alone unless Luke runs into the room. He also likes being held this way, your heartbeat so comforting to him.

Luke

Kiddo needs cuddles too! The first few times he only wanted to do it when you were alone, or when Simeon or Barb were around. One day he visited HoL, and the moment he sae you sitting down, he took his place beside you, snuggling into your side a bit, or holding your arm. He loves side hugs- and how riled up the brothers get.

My first thought Ironically is either Barbatos and Simeon.

Well, I don't think it's all that ironic, anon! Aside from Lucifer, Barbatos and Simeon are the only characters who have canonically taken on the role of caretaker to some wayward childrens.

I mean in Simeon's case, I don't think Luke was particularly wayward, but he's definitely the one taking care of him.

And for Barb, it's widely accepted that he took on taking care of baby Dia and lil Solomon. But even without that, he's kinda like Luke's second dad anyway. I mean, have you seen some of their daily chats? They're so precious I can't take it, especially in OG.

Both of them feel like they have the perfect personalities for taking care of kids.

Lucifer had to raise all his brothers, but uh... well, I dunno, he's got a different style lol. I also very much think that Lucifer would be far more indulgent with his own kids than he is with his bros.

But Barbatos and Simeon, even aside from their child adopting tendencies, both have personalities where they like to take care of people. I just think having that natural desire to care for others would make someone good at taking care of kids.

I do think everybody would have something they could contribute to the raising of a child. Like I see Satan being an excellent tutor or the one in charge of story time, you know? And Asmo would teach them how to love themselves, which is massively important.

But in a more general sense, I think you've got it spot on. I think those two would be the best at it.

Unless it is like a super serious issue because the 3 of you (Barbatos, Simeon, and you) have your own group chat. In this group sometimes all of you share articles which you find about raising kids and certain issues that come with certain ages, especially puberty

I first found your stuff on AO3, and then came over to Tumblr to read everything!! it's amazing and I can't get enough. I have a request, if you're up to it: MC is physically hurt buy another demon. how do the brothers (+whoever you wanna write) react/take care of them?

His first priority is to make sure you're okay

Props you up on a nearby wall and uses his cape to cover you up

Then he goes after the demon that dares to hurt his precious human

It doesn't even take five seconds before that demon is nothing more than a puddle of red

Immediately goes back over to you

Picks you up as gently as possible and takes you back to the house

Finds a healing spell and heals you up as best he can

Lays you down in his bed and sits there until he deems you healed enough to stand on your own

Mammon

Just nothing but pure rage from him

His vision goes red at the sight of your injured body

Hardly anyone has seen him this mad, so the demon who hurt you can barely even move out of fear

He doesn't even waste his time with this one

Snaps the demon's neck and tosses them aside as if they're nothing

His head starts to clear up now that the threat has been taken care of

Has a bit of an adrenal crash, but is still able to get you home

Immediately calls for his brothers cause he knows he can't help you much

Refuses to leave your side while Satan patches you up

This is one of the few times he's glad he left the house

Doesn't even spare the demon a glance

They aren't worth his time

Instead, he just crouches down next to you and checks for vitals

He learned a lot during his time as Grand Admiral, including how to take care of an injured person

Rips off some of his clothing to help temporarily bandage any open wounds

Then practically rushed home

He hasn't moved this fast in centuries, so his brothers knew something was wrong

Takes you to the main bathroom where the first aid kit is stored and takes proper care of your wounds

Surprisingly good with stitches and such

Informs Lucifer about the demon so that he, Barbs, and Dia can deal with them

Satan

The demon doesn't even stand a chance against him

Like, they're dead before they even try to escape

He's able to calm down relatively quick and assess the situation

You're clearly not in critical condition, so that's a plus in his book

Handles you with the same gentleness he handles a kitten

Brings you home so he can find a healing spell in one of his thousands of books

Eventually finds one that isn't too strong for a human and heals you up

He brings you back to your room to rest while he goes to make you a drink

Offers to read to you once you feel a bit better

Asmo

Oh, he gets scary when he's mad

He just goes completely silent as he walks up to the scene

His face is totally blank as well

No expression as he grabs the demon and rips their neck out with his teeth

Yeah, that demon is dead

Doesn't wanna risk hurting you, so he calls Solomon to help you out

Luckily, Solomon was in the area and happens to know a good healing spell that won't drain what little energy you have left

Brings you back home once he knows you're okay and refuses to let you out of his room

Beel

He eats the demon

Just, straight up eats them

No remorse, no hesitation

It would be disturbing if you weren't in such pain

Very gentle with you, as he always is

Drops you off in his room so that Belphie can watch you while he gets the first aid kit

Bandages you up to the best of his ability, but Belphie does eventually take over

Starts following you every time you leave the house out of fear you'll get hurt again

Another one to just completely ignore the demon

He can deal with that idiot later

Now, you need help, and he's gonna make sure you get it

Immediately brings you to Satan since he knows Satan can heal you

Once he makes sure Satan didn't miss anything, he takes you up to the attic

Cuddles you close for the rest of the night

Major flashbacks to Lilith and the time he killed you

Refuses to let this happen again

Barbs

Yeah, that demon no longer exists in any timeline ever

He just straight up deletes them from existence

Takes you to the castle to heal you up

Bandages every wound with care and precision

Calls Luci and lets him know that you'll be spending the night at the castle

Keeps you in his room for the night to make sure all of your injuries heal properly

Brings you back to the house the following morning

Courting Headcanons

I’m including all of the demons in this post because why not

General:

So while all demons are different when it comes to the mating process, they do also share some commonalities with one another

All demons will give something to the object of their affection

The object is different depending on the demon, and can range from rare and expensive items to a shiny rock they found on the side of the road

The demon’s sin is usually also heightened even more due to their more primal instincts coming out

Pride demons will show off a lot more than usual, Greed and Envy demons will become much clingyer, Wrath demons will explode if they are not near mate, Lust demons get even hornier, Gluttony demons will find it even harder to get full since it isn’t food they’re craving, and Sloth demons find themselves even more tired when not around their mate

Demons never court someone unless they are fully devoted to the one they’re trying to mate with

Courting has a certain process that takes place, usually, over the span of many years

If the person accepts the courting, then the two will mate with one another

It’s rare that someone will reject the courting, but it does happen and it is not a pretty sight

Let’s just say at least of of those demons is not getting out of it alive

Courting a human also isn’t unheard of among demons, but it is also super, super rare for a demon to do so

It doesn’t have the same consequences as when an angel gets with a human, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any

Mostly just the knowledge that humans have a much shorter lifespan and that they’ll die long before the demon will

Some demons might also give a piece of themselves to their partner once they’ve accepted the courtship

Not anything weird, just something like a scale or feather depending on which ones they have

Courting is also more common among certain types of demons compared to others

In order from most to least common we have:

Greed demons, Envy demons, Sloth demons, Gluttony demons, Wrath demons, Pride demons, and Lust demons

Lust demons court the least since they usually don’t form romantic bonds with someone

On the flipside, Greed demons are the most likely to court someone since they become easily attached to people 

Demons also love making the one their courting smell like them

Scenting is very personal for demons, so doing so is a sign of trust and dedication 

It’s also very intimate since it involves such close contact 

Lucifer:

You’d think he’d be really bold about courting someone, but you’re wrong

His pride won’t actually let him stoop so low as to just be that upfront about it

Instead, he goes about it in a more tactical way

Hangs around you more often than usual, using excuses like needing to watch after you since you’re such a weak human and all

Likes, dislikes, any little fact he can get out of you

Once he’s gotten what he needs, he begins the next step in his courting process

He starts out small: buying you small items he knows you’ll like, ordering some Human World food he heard you enjoy, and whatever else he knows you might appreciate

If that isn’t enough, he’ll up his game

Begins taking you out to fancy restaurants, buying you expensive jewelry and clothes, basically showering you in riches and goods

If you don’t catch on by this point, he’ll be very frustrated

He hates just straight up asking since it seems so simple and mundane to him in comparison to what he’s been doing already

But, clearly, that seems to be the only way to get what he wants, so he’ll suck it up for a few minutes and ask you out normally

Takes him a minute to push his pride down enough to actually ask you right away, but when he does it’s very sweet

Mammon:

It takes him a while to figure out that he has feelings for you, but when he does he does everything in his power to ensure the feelings are returned

Ya know how everyone always says that if Mammon takes a liking to you then you’re suddenly bombarded with riches?

Yeah, that’s very true

Everything you could ever want just suddenly appears in your room

Doesn’t matter how expensive the item(s) may be, he’ll gives you absolutely whatever he thinks you’ll enjoy

Probably ends up getting punished by Lucifer because of it, but he could care less at this point

Also becomes even more clingy with you, if that’s even possible

If he sees you talking to anyone that isn’t him, he’ll just grab you by the hand and drag you away

Call him out on it and he’ll go all tsundere on you

I hope you’re good at reading people cause this man will never explicitly tell you how he feels

Then again, he’s super obvious about it, so it doesn’t take a genius to figure it out

Gets flustered around you super easily as well

Just give him a compliment and watch his face turn redder than Dia’s uniform honestly

 Leviathan:

Gets even shyer than usual

Also becomes super hyperfixated on you for a while

Starts bringing you random merch from fandoms he knows you’re apart of 

Lets you into his room more often for binge watching/gaming sessions

Gets flustered at the smallest of things

You so much as look at him and he’s just on the floor

Congrats, you broke him

Takes him a while, but he eventually gains a bit more confidence

probably goes to someone like Satan or Asmo to ask for advice

Or he just resorts to his romance games/manga

Tries doing all of the cute tropey stuff in hopes that something will work

Oh yeah, remember how he’s the Avatar of Envy? That becomes even more obvious

Worst than Mammon when it comes to dragging you away from people

At first, he’s too shy to do anything when he sees you talking to someone

But once that confidence hits, it’s over for everyone

Tries to keep you locked in his room, and it gets so bad at one point that the brothers have to ban together just to free you

Another one who refuses to outright tell you that he’s trying to court you

Honestly, please make the first more if you reciprocate

If you don’t, then at least save him the embarrassment by telling him you don’t feel the same

He might feel super upset in the moment, but he’ll appreciate it later

Satan: 

Much subtler compared to his brothers

Offers to spend time with you and takes you places he thinks you’ll enjoy

Also tutors you in any subjects you may be struggling with or just want practice in

Never forces you to do anything with him, unlike the others

If he sees you talking to someone who isn’t him, it doesn’t bother him in the slightest

He’s confident enough to know that he’s better than them anyways

And then he sees you talking to Lucifer

All of his confidence from before? Out the window

Just pure rage

Will pick you up, throw you over his shoulder, and force you into his room

Basically, don’t talk to Lucifer if he is around

He’ll never admit it, but he is somewhat jealous of him in the sense that Lucifer is probably the only brother who stands a chance against him

After all, if you’re gonna choose anyone who isn’t him, it has to be Lucifer, it’s the logical choice after all

Of course, he’ll never admit any of this to lest he show any sign of vulnerability to a future mate

On a much lighter note, he’s very sweet when he’s not rage quitting at the sight of Lucifer

Buys you a ton of books, or just gives you some he already has

Isn’t a huge fan of over-the-top dates, prefers something more lowkey

Coffee shops, bookstores, museums, and of course cat cafes

Gives you lots of compliments, but nothing overbearing in case you might be uncomfortable with it

Doesn’t mind telling you exactly how he feels and what his intents are, but it takes him a few tries to get the words right

Asmodeus:

Oh boy

Where do I even start with this one?

Has the least experience when it comes to actual romantic attraction

Sure, he feels lust all the time, but that’s much different from romance

Has a surprisingly hard time figuring out how to court you without bringing his more promiscuous desires into the mix 

He knows how important mating can be, and he’s also aware just how much every Lust demon struggles with the courting process, but that doesn’t make it any better for him

Tries his absolute best to make you feel like the most special individual in all three worlds

Takes you shopping all the time

Doesn’t matter what for, he just wants to spend time with you

Also does self-care days with you at least once a week

At first, he was very clingy with you and tried to hog all of your attention for himself

If that annoys you at all, he’ll stop if you tell him to enough times

Tells you how much he adores you every second of every day, but has a hard time seriously saying it

For him, it’s one thing to tell a friend that you love them 

But to actually confess to someone that you like them in a romantic way? Especially when you’re literally the Avatar of Lust? 

It’s virtually impossible for him for the longest time

He does eventually do it, but it took a lot of hyping up from Satan for him to get there

Probably one of the only times he ever looks vulnerable or scared 

Beelzebub:

Honestly the most straightforward with his feelings

He’s not usually one to beat around the bush, and he’s very blunt most of the time

Plus, it’s not like he’s stupid, he knows what these feelings are and he isn’t afraid to tell you

A lot of people like to make him all innocent and blushy, but that isn’t really him

Yeah, he can be dense sometimes, but that doesn’t mean he knows nothing about this sort of stuff

In fact, he’s quite knowledgeable on the subject of courtships

Starts out slow so as not to overwhelm you 

He knows how scary it can be to have a demon suddenly show interest in you, so he wants to make sure you are completely comfortable with everything he does

Most of the stuff he courts you with usually involves food

To him, food is very special, and you’re also very special

So in his mind, combining two of the most special things in his life sounds like the best time ever

Takes you out to all sorts of restaurants and food tours

Also loves cooking with you at home

Even if you’re a terrible cook, he doesn’t mind

He just loves spending time with you and having fun together

Once he’s gotten to a place where he thinks you’re comfortable enough, he’ll tell you his feelings and about how he’s been courting you for a while now

He’s a tad embarrassed/nervous, but he’s also happy to finally be telling you after such a long time of waiting 

Belphegor:

Feels a bit guilty for wanting to court you at first

Cause, ya know, the incident

But after he gets over that, he acts relatively the same as always

Lowkey the most casual when it comes to courting, which I feel is the norm for Sloth demons

They’re too lazy to really do anything that involves effort, so they tend to stay casual

That doesn’t mean he doesn’t try though

Constantly flops on top of you throughout the day in hopes of getting some cuddles

It’s also a good way to rub his scent on you, but you don’t need to know that

Becomes super possessive, but not like his brothers

Won’t actively try and drag you away from someone because that means putting in effort and he’s not about that life

However, the second you walk away from them, he is taking you to the nearest corner and cuddling the heck out of you

No, you do not get a say in the matter, and no, he does not care if you are busy or uncomfortable

You will stay with him to make up for so much as breathing in the general area of someone who isn’t him 

The only other individual he’s okay with you being around is Beel because obviously

Still acts like a total brat tbh

Teases you to hide his embarrassment if he ever gets flustered around you

Like everything else, he’s super casual when telling you how he feels and what he’s been doing

Just ignore the blush he has, you’re just imagining it 

Diavolo:

Actually has the least experience with this sort of thing

A Prince courting is a super big deal down here, and there are tons of extra rules he’s forced to follow

Not to mention, a mate is usually pre-picked for the future king, so he never thought he’d have to deal with it

Then he met you, and he decided that rules were stupid anyway

Super awkward at first, but he’s doing his best and he’s really cute about it too

It’s totally obvious what he’s doing, but no one knows if he’s being obvious on purpose or not

Even he isn’t really sure at this point

Once he becomes more comfortable in his skin, it’s over for everyone

Bold as hell tbh

And since he’s the Prince, he can afford to go all out with everything he does

Rents out entire restaurants just for the two of you

 Buys you every item from a really expensive store if you mentioned liking the products there

Really though, he just wants you to know how much he cares about you, and this is the only way he knows how

Also a sucker for cuddles

Comes up to you and hugs you any chance he gets

When the time comes for him to tell you, he’ll be super excited

Might have a slight blush on his face, but he’s also wearing the biggest and most genuine smile you’ve ever seen on a demon 

Barbatos:

Another demon with very little experience in this field

Knows how courting works in theory, but can’t really put it into practice without feeling all awkward

Of course, no one ever knows that he’s feeling that way since he’s a master of facade, but still

Once you catch his eye, it’s over for him 

He wants nothing more than to court you, but there are a couple of things stopping him

One is, obviously, the lack of knowledge on the subject

The other is his loyalty and devotion to Diavolo

Ends up going to Dia to ask permission to court you like the proper butler he is

Dia just laughs, but agrees

And thus begins the hard part: actually attempting to court someone

Starts off small: inviting you over for tea, taking you on walks through the castle gardens, and taking with him when he goes on trips to the human world

Honestly, he won’t go past that since anything more would be outside his comfort zone

Still a gentleman as always, and makes sure nothing he does is overbearing to you

Tries to stay as casual and formal as always, but you can see his mask crack a few times

If you ever compliment him, you’ll see a rare blush appear on his cheeks

Appreciate the sight, for not many have seen it and lived to tell the tale

Flustered Barbs is best Barbs

Takes him a hot minute to figure out how he wants to tell you, but his confession is still very sweet and to the point

Okay, wow, that was way longer than I thought it would be lol. Sorry for making y’all read so much
