i am so tired of movies/tv shows trying to hide their imperfections with dark ass scenes like you should have used practical sets instead of slapping bad cgi everywhere 💀
#name a more annoying duo than disney + and their dark ass shows????#it’s so freaking annoying#look at POTC in comparison where a lot of scenes were dark??? you could still SEE stuff (and POTC did use CGI i know!)#i'm saying you can use CGI for dark scenes and still make it possible to watch#also yes i am aware that some media use CGI very well and we don't notice it (even on practical sets)#but full green screens (and even the mando VR set) cannot fool the human eye#just look at the last episodes of the mandalorian vs. andor and you can FEEL the difference

the marvels is officially the only movie ever. the director knew what they were doing with it and also every designer that worked on it deserves a kiss and a pay rise
#you guys don’t understand how good it was#i may be biased because i love ms marvel#but it was so amazing#vague SPOILERS ahead:#the musical episode bit with the disney princess sparkles was the best#i just know a lot of marvel bros are going to hate on it for that whole silly section#but they just don’t get it like i do#and then the ending was perfectly emotional#the whole film is a brilliant mix of comedy and action and the director actually cares about her audience#i did get a migraine after but that may have been the air pressure rather than the film#because it wasn’t overly loud or flashy#also so worth the migraine#the marvels#the marvels spoilers#oh yeah and the end credit scene (there is only one) was brilliant#the take away is: go watch it#AND the young avengers at the end#i am so freaking excited for them

i feel like i’ve been WAITING for the other shoe to drop wrt people’s opinions about watcher for this very reason. not that i think the reaction is completely not understandable but the greater the parasocial relationship, the greater the fallout as soon as public opinion shifts. you don’t have a relationship with these people they’re just content creators, chill

Okay, I don't know if I've mentioned it much on here, but I'm, uh, sort of a huge Deadpool fan. Like, I fucking love Deadpool a lot, comics and movies. So while I haven't actually seen any of the new Marvel stuff in a few years, I've been keeping an eye out for Deadpool 3.
And like. I saw the new trailer. And I am Feeling Things.

#i had a really good energy day. i was awake at 8 in the morning and hung out with my mother in law from 10 to 4#we went shopping and got food and it was a really good day#but it wasnt enough. the moment i got home i realized how tired my body was and i took two naps#i woke up from my last nap over an hour ago and i still feel like im in a twilight state of consciousness#im so tired but my dream was ao vivid and real despite being nonsensical that it freaked me out and i dont want to go back to sleep#but im also so emotionally fragile and cant watch videos without something making me want to cry#im supposed to go on my honeymoon in two weeks to disney world. objectively not a good place to go with low energy and weak muscles#but i wanted to go back so bad and didnt want to keep putting it off since i might be like this forever#yet the idea of me getting this exhausted each day is making me wonder if im wasting our money and that we wont have fun bc of me#like this was the best day energy wise ive had in almost a year and i feel this awful now. how am i supposed to last a week at disney?#we've been spending 3 years waiting to have money and time for our honeymoon#ugh. im not ok. i just want a new body so i wont feel like im dying every other day#im just hoping that we chose a good time to go to avoid crowds as much as possible to reduce the chance of getting covid#bc i cant just keep waiting for covid to be gone to do things. i can mask but i cant stay home almost all the time anymore or else i will go#insane#i want to just live life and not constantly worry about getting covid from going to a store but i also dont know whats wrong with me#and wont see my specialist until december so i dont want to get really sick and mess up my health even more#i havent gotten covid yet though so hopefully that will continue. triple vaxed and it seems to be working for me#i'll still be careful though but i hope i have the energy to have fun bc these past 3 years have been trying to kill me with trauma

I LOVED the owl house finale, ok. I know everyone was working under limited time and had to roll with what they had to wrap this all up. I had more questions than the episode prior, but it doesn’t matter. There are things in life we will never have the answer to, and it’s better to be content with the unknown than to die trying to find the answer to it. GUE CHAPTER 4: LIVING DEAD
[But first: a brief message from the creator, which would have appeared BEFORE the comic, if I didn't just barely slide in under tumblrs 30 image limit]
Hello Everyone,
I was in the process of inking this comic when I suffered my debilitating hand injury, which set me back nearly a year. Even before I injured myself, I never intended for GUE 4 to take this long—
and so in the interest of expediting it’s release, I took some shortcuts in the inking process through the use of generative AI.
Hah! Just kidding. But now it sounds less bad to say that I did save time by using modified pencilwork in place of inks, and the result is an end product that is decidedly a little rough.
I promise, nobody is upset about this as much as I am; I really wanted to present everyone with a perfect end product. But creative stuff like this has a half-life, and as much as I am proud of my work on GUE 4, I am ready to move on and get to work on other projects. (Maybe even… GUE 5? )
If it makes you feel better, just pretend that I’m the Thief And The Cobbler guy, and that GUE 4 is merely an unfinished masterwork pieced together after my untimely death at the hands of Disney
gestapo. (Or whatever actually happened to him-- It’s funnier if I don’t look it up. Haha. Parody. Don’t sue me Disney)
And please, don’t freak out when you get to page 5. I started using a new drafting method while working on this comic, and I promise the art gets cleaner quickly. In fact, I think an adapted version of the rough inking method I used here can actually be used to in the future for faster turnaround, without sacrificing quality. Many exciting adventures await.
