Thanks for the ask! I'm sorry it took me forever to get to it but I'm here now!

Farron's actually given Dusk a few special gifts already but I'm just going to choose one of my favorite moments and re-write it in a not-from-our-rp style instead! ♡

It was well into the night, and the house was silent with all occupants fast asleep; a peaceful atmosphere.

Mostly.

The soft sounds of tinkering could be heard from the basement. There was still one who hadn't found sleep yet and couldn't until the task he set out to complete was done. It was important!

And so Farron sat at Dusk's workbench, trying his hand at a craft he wasn't all too familiar with yet so that he could surprise the love of his life with an old gift restored. He always meant to transform the tiny, dried gloxinia flower from their first date into something more.

Sure, he had already given Dusk a necklace previously, but he couldn't help but think another, more sentimental type that he could carry with him anywhere would be perfect. They were both horrifically sappy and sentimental, after all.

Applying the final touches to his craft, Farron wiped the back of his hand across his brow and sighed softly as he held the delicate chain up to the light to inspect his work. A glint reflected off the small, glass bottle he had attached and enchanted, revealing the dried flower within. Obviously, his hand would never be up to par with that of a master goldsmiths, but he felt a certain amount of pride nonetheless. It was important to him to make this gift himself rather than have it commissioned... and here it was! Finished and beautiful, to his eyes.

All that was left was to slip it around Dusk's neck without waking him...

Steeling himself, Farron drew in the deepest breath his lungs would allow. Exhaling shakily, his nerves getting the better of him, he pushed himself to his feet and started the daunting task of getting back up two flights of stairs without waking anyone. He thanked the gods that no one but him could hear the way his heart was pounding or how the blood rushed in his ears in such a defeaning way.

One step had betrayed him on the way up with a low groan, and he held his breath, ears swiveling forward on high alert. And there he stood for much longer than he needed before he found the courage to continue. All remained silent, and deep down, he knew he didn't need to worry as much as he had been.

The sight of Dusk fast asleep in bed surrounded by amaro, a rabbit and a duck warmed his heart, and Farron carefully climbed into the bed with them. Luckily, not a single one stirred, and he quietly let out the breath he hadn't realized he was holding.

It was now or never.

Slowly crawling up next to his partner's sleeping form, Farron held both ends of the necklace, and quick as he could, he slid one end under Dusk's neck, clasping both ends together with ease. A loving smile played onto his lips, and he leaned over to press a lingering, gentle kiss to Dusk's forehead. His heart was still pounding fiercely as he adjusted the chain so the clasp was out of sight.

Late night shenanigans completed, all that was left was to sleep until morning when Dusk would notice the new adornment hanging from his neck. Until then? Farron would attempt to sleep through his excitement and giddiness.

And sleep he did.

In mere moments of being cuddled up with his favorite person, he drifted off, dreaming of how lucky it was that they had ever met. He would forever be thankful to have had such a chance in his life, and he would treasure this man like the gift he was until the end of his days.

Hey Karl you think whenever BF or GF just hit Pico with a random hug no matter the circumstance his face just crumbles into the most vulnerable and yearning look and suddenly the hug lasts for 20 minutes because they don't have the heart to pull away when Pico lays his arms around their backs in the most gentle way possible

Do you ever think BF and GF get super emotional when he's soft with them? This guy, known for his fuckin' Bite with an attitude developed partially for self-defense, melting at their touch and allowing them to see his more gentle side? Something that nobody else will ever get to see?

The demon and the rapper are nice by default. Boyf can be a bit of a menace and Girlf is not afraid to show her demonic side when necessary, but they're kind to others as a default, maybe even to a fault. Not that Pico doesn't ever show kindness to others, but he's usually prickly and standoffish; his kindness could come off in ways that read almost as passive aggression. And yet, around the two idiots (used affectionately lol) he's like putty in their hands.

Anyways idk what I'm on abt really I just think if you gave him the choice he would literally melt into their embraces. Safe, and protected in their arms; for once, he isn't the one who has to do the protecting. I think the worst part of a hug to him would be having to let go.

got this reblog on one of my posts were i talked about being anxious about the future of the zelda series after totk and-

i even went back and unblocked them just to check my own post and check twice what they meant exactly- but i still dont know how they got to these conclusions

i never said i 'want a good uwu ganondorf' (bc that would mean hes aligned with hyrule bc thats how goodness works!!!!11!1!!!), i also dont think of any of the zeldas as 'whores' (seriously, where did that come from?? neither me nor the addition of someone agreeing with me said anything like that??? did they think bc the addition called tloz misogynistic means we think zelda is a whore????? huh???)

its also funny how they say they want zelda to stay a simple fairytale rather than have 'people like me' bc .. one point i talked about in the og post was how the evil arab thing VS good white people media likes to do so much is so normalized here that its simply seen as a simple harmless fairytale trope instead of a big underlying issue in general media and the writers might not even realize it (which is worse) bc the most 'generic' appeal is to people who dont think of it as a problem in the first place, because it is so normalized

(huh, i wonder about what kind of person that part was about .. hmmmm)

(ALSO funny they mention princess hilda as nuanced villain ... like ... wow they are so nuanced about purple haired people!!- like guess why we want a nuanced/less badly/less flat written ganondorf and what he, in particular, has not in common with other villains! its not his hair color! .... or was that point supposed to mean .. look we have one female character that is a villain, its not misogynistic! idk honestly)

also funny how its 'never gonna be progressive enough' like asking for the franchise to maybe put a little more thought and nuance into their white divine right vs evil desert man simulator instead of making it worse is already asking too much

(also yes totk is racist, like most if not all of the franchise and a alot of other media as well, shocker- you can still like it though, i and plenty of other people are still fans of it, we just wish they did a little more with their stuff and maybe not make the racism problem WORSE)

some additional doodles and a Lot of Headcanons... sorry if im spamming these a little bit. ive got so many thoughts in my head, lmao

theres my older pacifica- after weirdmageddon, her and gideon become friends. theyre both sort of ostracized from the town as a whole bc of their past attitudes/actions so they cling together and become buds. its nice having someone else who 'gets' it.

pacifica moved out as soon as she could to get away from her folks and has a job at a local mall. gideon enables her to enjoy at least SOME of her old luxuries by taking her shopping and to get their nails done together and stuff. also his prison buddies help ''kindly persuade'' her parents not to break her enforced no-contact rule from time to time. i know the two have the bitchiest gossip in the entire town together. sometimes when its hard to be 'nice' they know they can at least vent to the other and they wont get judged for it, yknow?

also some backstory doodles! he was a Normal Kid, Once. or close enough to it. gideon was a sickly child and was sheltered and homeschooled for most of his life. the gleefuls moved from texas to oregon when he was about seven (yes i know this breaks canon a little. its fine shh.) and he found journal 2 shortly after. things went downhill from there

other notes. he's always kept his hair long, but used to either let it down or tie it into a long braid. he very briefly attended a public school and he didnt fare very well there (fat kid + albino + 'girly' + general weird interests is basically painting a massive target on your back) he used to stay up and watch late night televangelists when he couldnt sleep in hospital and copped his aesthetic from there
