he'll hold your hand and everything while repeating "i love you too," for a second time, only this time he's serious about it too

definitely asks for double suicide later

"You know it's my motto to unalive myself with a beautiful woman. How lucky of you to have been bestowed upon this honour."

"Mhm."

"I'll say yes if you join me in a double suicide," he asks with puppy eyes.

"Dazai, you already said yes."

"I'll say it again!"

You chuckle hearing him update his rival of his new relationship status.

"And anyway," he raises a glass of wine for toast. "I'd like to thank my good looks, good looks and did I mention my good looks (?) for making tonight the happiest night ever."

"You could at least have been a bit subtle about it," he says, munching on his chips. "I mean, anyone who saw you would've been able to guess. I didn't even need my ability for this!"

He lifts his chin up thoughtfully, fingers ripping open another packet of snacks. "You should be grateful I'm not a snitch. Eh, well," he shrugs, "You're now dating the greatest detective in the world! Congratulations!"

"I am a lot of work. I don't think you can keep up with all of that," he says shortly.

He stares at you for a few moments, looking like he's about to cry.

"Oh, alright then," he waves a hand around. "But don't you ever leave me."

"No, no!" he panics, wringing both hands all over himself hastily. "I love you! Really!"

and that's his way of saying yes

He shuts the computers around him down and taps your outer thigh twice. You immediately stand up and help him up. He stares at you for a few seconds, contemplating something.

"You know, I never thought I'd enable others to call me a lovesick fool."

"Does that mean you are a lovesick fool?"

"A little, maybe," he turns around and walks out of the door while you follow him with a soft smile on your face.

thanks for tagging @altruistic-meme !! decided to go ahead and do this :3

comfort food: I sat here thinking about this for too long 😭 but I'll go with grilled cheese

comfort movie: Spirited Away! I rewatch it at least once or twice a year just because.

comfort show: Toss up between Code Geass and Scrubs for me.

fave colour and why: I used to be really into blue, but as I got older I'm kinda vibing with purple now. Specifically a royal purple! I don't even think I have much of a reason, just a change in preferences. I also used to dislike yellows and oranges but now I like them.

last piece of media you loved: ooo, I had to think about this for a while. Technically I have ongoing bsd brainrot, BUT I did see Deadpool & Wolverine and I loved that movie.

fun hobby that always makes you happy: (aside from writing and reading) I really like doing latte art! I can't draw to save my life but I can make designs in coffee and it's really relaxing to do. Sometimes I like making art in my morning coffee and even just like...making a leaf or a heart makes my morning and puts me in a good mood because I think latte art is really cool.

What if the reader was still a child? I’m not talking 13–14 years old, but what if they were 8–9 years old and they were reading and watching Bungou Stray Dogs because the characters looked "pretty" and they weren't even affected by all the blood and stuff? They just took comfort in the characters since their home life was not so great.

Description: During last Family Reunion, you have heard about an anime. The characters look pretty, so you decide to watch it.

Found Family. Biological family is a bunch of awful jerks. Child Reader.

Warning: Mentions of parental neglect. Abuse. Bulling. Reader are an unwanted/unplanned child. Kids consuming not age appropriate media (child watching/reading BSD). Mentions of terminating the pregnancy. Mentions of torture. Chocking. OOC. Platonic Yandere. English is my second language.

You are sure, that Family Reunions are boring. No one wants to talk to you.

Your parents and other adults were having their boring talks. Your older brother and cousins were running around the backyard, playing tag. You wanted to play with them, but they don't let you join.

Your brother even drags you away to the other side of the backyard and whispers in your ear.

"[Y/N], you already have a game to play, remember? Our parents and you are always playing it. Be a good unwanted sibling, play it and don't bother me."

With that, your brother turns around and returns to your cousins.

You sniff. You are so bored. The game, that your parents wants you to play, is boring. You don't want to play it anymore.

The game is called "What others will say". Your parents have been playing it for nine years. (Ten, if that time, you eavesdrop on them, they weren't mistaken). Ever since you were born. (Or even earlier).

Playing in "What will others say", means doing and saying specific things.

"You can't take the phone with you on a Family Reunion. You should talk to alive people, not look in the screen. What would others say? Yes, your brother can have his. He is older than you, don't question, why he can take his phone."

"You can't tell anyone, that your brother hits you. What will others say?"

"You can't have this toy. We already spent too much money on them. What will others say?"

"What do you mean, all toys we bought, we gave to your brother and you didn't get any?! How dare you say it out loud? What will others say?"

"You can not cry because your brother pushed you down the stairs. What will others say?"

"You can't ask your aunt if you can have more food on your plate. What will others say?"

"Why you didn't terminate ... when we had a chance?"

"I couldn't get rid of it. What would others say?"

"Why you didn't insist ... in the orphanage?"

"I can't. What would others say?"

Boring, stupid game...

You sniff one more time. Stupid adults. You decide to go back inside. Maybe, you will find something interesting there.

All adults were inside. They were talking, discussing their adult things.

They didn't pay any attention to you. But, you heard a couple of whispers, when you passed some of your relatives.

"unwanted" "fault" "pill" "broke" "liked process"

For you, this whispers doesn't make sense. What "pills"? What was "broken"? Whose "fault"?

You passed a group of your much older cousins. They were already in.a high school, so they don't want to speak to a "pipsqueak", like you. One of your cousins bring their girlfriend with them. Now all of them were discussing something.

"I tell you, Dostoevsky is smarter than Dazai!"

"No, Dazai is smarter! Besides, he looks cuter than the Rat Man"

"Are we really having a heated discussion about an anime?"

Anime? You know about anime. Japanese cartoons. You like anime. Your parents aren't against you watching anime. You are silent, while watching it, and doesn't bother them with questions.

So, does adults watch anime too? Maybe, if you ask, they will tell you a name of this anime?

You wanted to take a step towards them, but your cousin, the one who bring their girlfriend, hiss at you.

"What are you looking at? Go, play somewhere else."

You quickly go away. You don't want them to do something bad to you. Yes, you really want to learn the name of the anime, but, you don't want to be hurt because of your curiosity.

For the next ten minutes, you were walking from one part of the house to another. Walking around, doing nothing is better, than sitting on one place, doing nothing.

During your 'walk' you go to the balcony. You noticed your cousin's girlfriend. She is standing there, talking on a cell phone.

A keychain was attached to the phone. The keychain looks like a tiny man with brown eyes, short, dark brown hair. The man is wearing a sand-colored trench coat, black vest over a striped dress shirt, a bolo tie,

white pants and dark brown shoes.

You take a quick glance on Girlfriend's phone case. There is the picture of the same man, but taller and more detailed, on her phone case.

You can't turn you from keychain and phone case. They are so pretty.

Girlfriend finish talking on the phone and turns around. She gasps, after noticing you.

"Y-you scared me"

You feel, that your cheeks become warm. You are embarrassed, that she noticed your staring. But you still can't take your gaze from the keychain.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to. It's just, your keychain and phone case look so cute. Does that character have a name?" explain you, looking at the keychain. Girlfriend also looks at it.

"My keychain and phone case? His name is Dazai Osamu."

You mentally repeat the name. You must not forget to look up this character on the Internet.

"Dazai Osamu? He is from anime, right? Can you tell me the name of the anime? Can you tell me, please? I like anime and want to see as much anime as I can."

Girlfriend looks skeptical.

"It's not an anime for kids. What have you been watching? Pokémon?"

You start listing every anime you have seen.

"Yes! I also have seen Chi's sweet home, Bananya, Naruto, Death Note, Demon Slayer, Shaman King, Gurren Laggan..."

Girlfriend quickly puts her hands over your mouth.

"Okay, you can stop. Kiddo, most of this anime are not for kids. Aren't you afraid of watching them?"

You shake your head. You step back and answer.

"No. They help me, when Dad and Mom are arguing, or Derek, my older brother, is being a jerk."

Girlfriend bits her lip. She looks hesitant. Then she takes a little notepad from her purse and writes something down. Then she takes the page from the notebook and gives it to you.

"Here, I wrote it down."

Your smile became bigger. You take the page and read the text on it. Right above her number, there was an anime name.

Bungou Stray Dogs

"Thank you, miss" your eyes are shining. Now you have more anime to watch."

Girlfriend smiles sadly at you. Then she removes her keychain and gives it to you.

"You can have it, kiddo. Dazai will be your lucky charm."

You take the keychain with trembling hands. You sob and hug Girlfriend's leg.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much, miss! I will always treasure him!"

Girlfriend pets your head.

"You can call me Martha, kiddo. And you are welcome."

You looked up at Martha.

"Then you can call me [Y/N], Martha"

Martha smiles. You don't notice, that she has tears in her eyes. Martha remembers, what her partner tell her, when today she asked, why they drove you away.

"Babe, [Y/N] are an unplanned child. Their parents liked the baby making process. So, when mother run out of pills, and father's... protection broke... he-he, they got them as a consequence. Wanted to get rid of them, when they still were inside the mother, but granny forbid it. What would others think, if they knew? When the brat were born, parents wanted to leave them in the hospital. And, once again, granny forbid it. What would others think, if they knew? So, kid are unwanted by their parents. They are unwanted by other relatives. And I also don't want this kid to like me. So, let the brat do their own thing."

Martha sighs. She herself was an unplanned child. But her parents love her. So why this family hates poor kid for been born? Martha and pet your head again. You smile and, after thanking her again, you go inside the house again.

You are a good kid. Martha thinks, that, maybe, she should rethink her decision about dating your cousin.

A few hours later, the Family Reunion is finally over.

You are riding home. You are sitting on the backsit of your parents' car. Your brother was sitting near you. Derek was watching something on his phone. Your father is driving, while your mother is sitting next to him.

The page, with anime name and Dazai's keychain, are in your pocket. You didn't show it to your parents or brother. Derek will take the keychain away. Even if he doesn't like anime, he likes to bully you.

You can't wait to finally go home. You want to start watching new anime as soon as possible.

In one week, you finished watching anime. You enjoyed it so much.

The characters were pretty. You liked all of them.

You weren't bothered by blood, by death.

This anime helped you with zoning out.

"It was your fault! If only you tell me that it wasn't the safe day..."

"And who insist on us doing it?!"

"Dazai, you looked so cool, when you were in Mafia."

"YOUR MOTHER INSISTED ON KEEPING IT INSIDE ME! IF IT WAS IN MY POWER, I WOULD TARE THIS BANTLING WITH MY BARE HANDS!"

"DON'T YOU DARE TALK ABOUT MY MOTHER!"

"F-Fyodor, you are so smart! You tricked evil Ace!"

"YOU PUT THEM INSIDE ME! YOU RUIN MY LIFE!"

"YOUR LIFE WAS RUINED?! I HAVE TO WORK ON TWO JOBS TO SUPPORT YOU AND CHILDREN! WHILE YOU ARE SITTING AT HOME, DOING NOTHING!"

"Go on, Atsushi! Go on, Akutagawa! Catch Pushkin, so Mister Fukuzawa and Mister Mori become healthy again..."

You hide under the blanket. With phone in your hand and with cheap headphones covering your ears, you were watching the last episodes of Bungou Stray Dogs. You were holding Dazai's keychain in your free hand.

The game was easy and nice.

... You were petting cats with Fukuzawa...

...You were playing detectives with Ranpo and Poe...

...You were listening to Fyodor's playing cello...

...You were doing magical tricks with Gogol...

...You were playing with Q and Elise...

... Dazai was protecting you...

... And all the characters were glad having you near them.

Derek was a wanted child. After your parents had you, they start spoiling him.

They let him bully you.

They protect him, if he bully other kids.

Then, one day, he got too far.

After school, you saw him. He and his friends had knives. They were torturing a blind homeless man.

You were scared. You want to help the poor man. But you were so afraid.

The door to your room was opened. Your mother's hands squeeze your throat. Your father looked equally angry.

"IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! HOW DARE YOU TO PUT DEREK IN TROUBLE!"

You tried to breathe. Your father raised a belt above you.

You didn't notice, that you finally get a Kirako Haruno SSR card.

The moment Kirako waked up, she grabbed the nearest person. Fukuzawa Yukichi.

Kirako tried to shake him. She was shouting.

"Please, tell me that you can send someone to their world! Quick!"

Everyone gathered around Kirako and Fukuzawa. The president tried to calm her down.

"Kirako, please, calm down, explain, what's going on?"

"We have no time! [Y/N]'s parents going to kill them! We need to hurry! Please, they are just a child. They are unloved by their family. They see us as their friends. We need to save them!"

Kirako choked on her tears.

"They have a Dazai's keychain. They call it their little protector. We can't abandon them."

Grave silence.

The sand-colored blur ran towards the unfinished portal.

Loud noise. Bright light.

And right before them were standing a woman, who was chocking a nine-year-old kid and a man, who was ready to strike a kid with a belt.

"Hands off, bastards!"

Dazai's fist hit your mother's face. Her grip loosens. Both she and you fall on the ground. Before your father can react, Tetchou's ability already pierced his hand, that was holding a belt.

You were coughing. You tried to breathe in as much air as you can.

Someone picked you up and hugged you. You heard a voice. Familiar voice.

"You are safe. You are alright." "Poor thing" "I will keep you safe" "Osamu will keep you safe"

"Dazai?" asked you, still dizzy. He smiled and kissed your temple and forehead.

"Yes, I am here. We are here. You are safe."

"My parents?" quietly ask you, hugging Dazai in return.

"Don't worry about them. Just sleep. There is nothing to worry about."

You listen to Dazai and slowly fall asleep.

When Dazai was carrying you towards infirmary, Yosano tried to take a look at you, to make sure that you are not harmed. The look Dazai gave to Yosano... Everyone realized, that, for now, Dazai won't let anyone near you.

Dazai carry you to the infirmary and, after taking off your backpack, putting you on the bed and covering you with a blanket, returns to the others.

Your parents were on the floor, held down by Chuuya's ability. They looked terrified.

Father spoke first. "Who are you? What's going on? Where are we?"

Mother growl. "How dare you hit me? I was disciplining that bantling..."

One kick in the face from Pushkin shut mother down.

The grave silence. Then BSD characters start talking.

"Doesn't matter, who we are" Akutagawa. Rasenmon opens its maw.

"It's not like you will understand" Atsushi. Sharp tiger's claw glimmer in moonlight.

"Doesn't matter, what is happening now" Fukuzawa. His sword was sharp and deadly.

"What matters, is what you have done." Verlaine. The look in his eyes doesn't promise anything good.

"Doesn't matter, where are you" Ranpo's smile doesn't look friendly.

"It's not like you can return home" Mori. Elise was ready to attack.

"You are monsters, who were hurting Our Dear Guiding Light" Teruko. She was ready to tear your parents apart.

"And it's unforgivable" Hawthorne. He was growling.

"But don't worry. We won't kill you. For now." Gin. She lazily played with her blade.

"We will teach you a lesson." Fyodor. He was looking at his hands, thinking, if he should use his ability oh your parents.

"We will beat you up." Goncharov. Earth start trembling.

"With legs" Kunikida. Tazer in his hand let out a loud buzzing sound.

"With your own legs" Twain. He cocked the trigger.

"You know what is the best part?" Ayatsuji. The smoke from his cigar slowly disappeared.

"Your legs would still be attached to your body" Gogol. His grin looked madder, than before.

One moment later, your parents screamed.

You woke up a few hours later. At first, you thought, that Dazai from yesterday was just a dream. But, you quickly realized that it was real. Because the first person you saw at the morning was Dazai. He was waiting for you to wake up.

"Mourning, my little one. Are you alright? Ready to met others?"

You nodded shyly.

"I am alright. But... I am afraid of meeting others. What if they won't like me?"

Dazai smile and pick you up. He rubs your head. He went towards the Infirmary door.

"Don't be silly. Everyone here loves you. You are safe here. You are loved here."

Dazai slowly open the door and walked inside the ADA office.

Immediately, you and Dazai were surrounded by other BSD characters.

"Hello, [Y/N]!"

"Hi, [Y/N]!"

"You are finally here!"

"We have been waiting for you!"

"You are so cute!"

"Want to spend time together?"

"Want some breakfast?"

They were smiling.

They love you.

You are wanted.

You smile at them in return.

as a former Maths teacher he gets so annoyed with you (in a very silly way) whenever you struggle with numbers.

you're supposed to calculate Ada's monthly expenses but just can't get the hang of it so he ends up doing it for you

if he's in a good mood he may explain you how it's done

"How do you not get this?" he groans for the nth time that afternoon "Jesus Christ how did you end up doing the accounts?"

"I dunno" you cry out, staring at the papers in front of you with a desperate look on your face. "Please help me Kunikida I really can't do this"

He only sighs in response, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose as he drags a chair from a nearby desk to sit next to you. He grabs the pen from your hand "Don't I always..."

Fyodor's gaze follows you as you walk around the rows and piles of books in the store, carrying a stack of books.

"Fedya honey what was the budget again?"

He tells you the sum absentmindedly and sighs as he watches you stuggle to add up the money you were gonna spend so far. You check the price tag on the back of each book, brows quirking as you tried to calculate the sum.

"That's 2.800 yen myshka. You've got about 1.4k left" he points out, earning a smile from you.

You thank him in that cheerful tone of yours and he can't help but smile, the crease between his brows growing a little bit softer.

he doesn't really mind it as long as it doesn't inconvenience him in any way; in fact, he finds it amusing

but let's assume you're Fukuchi's assistant and you need to calculate the expenses for a month's missions and you just can't, so he has to stay overtime to help you

he's a bit pissed off about it but deep down he's happy he can help (we all know he's secretly a softie)

When Jouno found you in your office a couple of hours ago you were sitting at your desk with your face buried in the palms of your hands, crying lile there was no tomorrow. When he asked you what was wrong you started rambling on about how you were supposed to hand in the final report by tomorrow but you had forgotten your phone at home so you had no way of doing the Maths.

"Just do it yourself" he said plainly but you shook your head in disdain.

"I've always been shit at Maths"

"What do you mean? You've literally been hired to do the accounts" he commented, crossing his arms over his chest. Jouno could tell how embarassed you were by the sound of your rapid heartbeat.

"Yea... well, I never do it. The captain handles the accounts himself, I just make sure the papers are in order and you know, restock his alcohol supply when it runs low."

The man sighed, taking a seat next to you "Good lord, why am I even surprised. Alright, I'll help you out. Wouldn't want you getting fired"

"Don't worry Y/N. I'm sure you've got this" the blonde smiled, giving your shoulder a reassuring squeeze.

"No, Kenji. I can't do this right now" you sighd, discarding your fountain pen somewhere on top of the papers.

"I really wish I could help, but I doubt I'm the right person for that. Maybe you could ask Kunikida to help"

But of course you couldn't ask Kunikida to help; you weren't in the mood to get scolded again. Leaning back into your chair, your gaze skimmed over the room when you eventually spotted Ranpo at his desk. He was mindlessly flipping through a paper, sucking on his lollipop.

"Kenji, I bet you a gallon of milk that Ranpo's gonna this for me if I give him the slice of cake I bought for lunch"

Your colleague only smiled on response, nodding "I'm really sure he will"

So......

Since I've been suffering with these angsty thoughts... i though i would invite you all suffer with me...

It's about Chuuya...

I was doing some research for my fic (mainly going through bsd novels, blogs, tags and all) and came across this one Insta post in passing (sorry, i don't remember the name).

It was about BSD's cycles.

First, cycle of abuse, going from Mori-Dazai-Aku-Kyouka

and Second of rescue, going from Natsume-Oda-Dazai-Atsushi-Kyouka.

And then they highlighted a third category, the one's who are not saved - including Chuuya, Aku and Q.

At that point i didn't think much about it, just another post while scrolling Insta.

But now it's keeps bothering me, a constant reminder, whenever i read something BSD.

And It's so heart wrenching.

It also hit me, Q and Aku can still be saved.

Q, while we don't exactly know where they are right now, there is a chance of them getting their own arc, backstory and then being saved.

Aku, while still in Mafia, his partnership with Atsushi is his saving grace already. He is making an effort to not kill, just for their deal/bet. By the end of it all, he will be in a better place than he is now.

But Chuuya. (Spoiler's for light novel's if you haven't read them)

I remember very clearly, when in Stormbringer (don't ask me why i remember this byheart), when Murase dies Chuuya says, "Hey Detective, Weren’t you gonna arrest me?! Weren’t you gonna bring me into the world of light"

Don't get me wrong, I still believe Chuuya belongs to Port Mafia, the darkness suits him better than light.

But that does not mean he never wanted to get out of that darkness. This one instance in SB was proof enough. Makes me wonder, if things had gone even slightly differently, would he be in a better place than he is now? Is there still a chance?

What's even more tragic is that after the whole SB thing, no one seemed stick around enough to help him fight his own demons.

And he definitely has MASSIVE DEMONS.

His whole life seems to be one catastrophe after another! Don't believe me?

His first group, whom he called friends, betrayed him. Classic stabbed by poisonous knife in the back.

Hardly a year later, his second friends group, Flags, was killed by an emotionally unstable man-child seeking validation, insisting on calling him brother.

He went through a horrid ordeal, having to learn he was a lab experiment, seeing your clone vaporise to nothing but bones in your own arms, having to fight those same bones. And as if this was not enough, then fighting the monstrosity of a singularity and in process loosing the only chance to determine your humanity. (Actually whole of SB is dreadful, i don't think it'll ever get worse than that - i really hope it doesn't)

Then, given by the timeline, another year later, his third group of friends was killed by Shibusawa.

And again a year later - his partner, who brought him in all this madness, just fucking leaves without a word. This is the least tragic thing that has happened to the boy, i swear.

And I'm sure it didn't end there.

There must have been so many things going on behind the scenes in those missing years, hell even after the series began, Chuuya has been out of scene because something or the other was going on.

Now you have Fyodor fucking shit up for no apparent reason. With this shitshow, many mafia men, some of whom Chuuya might have developed a relation, are definitely dead. Not to mention the mental gymnastics going to trying to at least be on the same fucking chapter as the two geniuses.

AND ALL OF THIS IS JUST IN THE CURRENT TIMELINE. Don't get me started on BEAST VERSE!!! (That's a can of worms I'm really not ready to open at this point)

The thing with Mentally strong individuals is, they have abnormally high emotional intelligence, they are unnaturally resilient, they can compartmentalize their grief, they empathise with great deal of people, think rationally at any given point and think of ways to make things better.

What many people fail to understand is that no one is born Mentally strong, it's the circumstances that make them as such.

It can happen even through small things.

No one being there for you to express your deepest fears. No one just listening to you, even if they have a solution to your problem. Or having seen other's nightmares come to reality and feeling your own are much smaller, or having made to fell that way.

It creates the mentality of never sharing your fears, your insecurities, your discomfort - because at the back of the mind you keep telling yourself - oh, this person has gone through so much more than i have, my fear is nothing compared to it. I can handle it on my own, they have their own problems to handle. Everyone is busy, i don't think they have time to listen to the same problem I've been facing for years now. I've manages so far, i think I can manager just fine.

You start to undervalue your own feelings and start to fell like you'll burden them. Start to feel like you NEED to handle it on your own.

Now, i don't want to go into a spiral of mental health, but when you look at Chuuya, you can't help but marvel at that kids Mental resolution.

His first action after being stabbed in back was to make a deal with a demon to make sure he doesn't harm them, because they are just kids.

His first reaction to being provoked into revenge was to say Fuck off to his manipulator, not falling for the temptation and doing what he felt right.

He even forgave the killer of his friends (And also the one who tried to kill him) for gods sake! Understanding what he was going through.

He even walked away after knowing his parents are alive (oh the irony) not wanting to put a target on them. (I'm actually on fence with this, the chances of it being a manipulation tactic from Mori is just as high as it being the truth)

He had tremendous mental fortitude.

But you still see the cracks in his emotional state,

He was desperate to know if he was human or not, inclining towards the later.

He didn't know, that your friends can do some nice things without expecting anything in return. They can go above and beyond your regular stuff just because they are your friends, there doesn't need to be of anything at stake in friendship.

Hell, there was a point he believed having a Heart was too sophisticated for him, that he can't be that human!

I can go hours and hours about this.

What i can say for sure is, he has demons in all sizes, shapes and forms, something that he has stuffed in his closet only to deal with them himself, not letting them see the light of the day.

i just don't see anyone actually being there for him long enough for him to trust them fully with his demons.

No, not even Dazai. Dazai himself was a walking cry for help, like hell Chuuya is adding to that pile. He may have found a constant in Dazai in three years, seeing as all other's met their end in one. I believe in those three years, somewhere Soukoku began to feel like his safe place, somewhere he didn't had to think about his demons only by the virtue of dealing with one made of flesh and bones. But then even Dazai left.

I don't think even Kouyou was there for most part. And considering her obsession with a flowers of dark with Kyouka, i think it pulled Chuuya more in her own tragedy. Afterall, she also was never saved.

Mori is there, but Mori is a Demon in his own rights. What we've seen is their interactions have been those of a boss and his close confidents, nothing personal or emotional. Which also makes sense when you think of Mori's theory of running an organization. Chuuya, all things considered, the most powerful member of PM and he is treated as such.

The other significant members of PM, the guerrilla squad, black lizards or Kajji - all of them may know him better than most, but he is still their executive. If a 15 and younger kid took the title of being a protector of his rag-tag group seriously, being a responsible and dependable executive comes with higher stakes. He will carry out his role as one, even if it's the last thing he does.

That was me rambling.

My point is, i wanna give Chuuya a big hug, tell him it's okay to fell tried sometimes. To let himself be vulnerable. That his fears are not invalid. That he is not invalid. That he isn't the problem, never was.

That he will still be valued and wanted, even if he one day looses his ability or he is no longer the strongest.

Can someone please save his boy?

i actually enjoy farcille! it was originally mehtp for me but after i figured out that i do enjoy making them struggle with their relationship before they actually figure out how to love each other as equals i like them as otp

if you don't believe me, you can check my blogs for my other ships outside of dunmeshi: dazatsu from bsd where atsushi's patience runs thin everytime dazai tries to push him away, odazai also from bsd where i depict dazai as someone who falls in love with the idealized version of odasaku, not the real him, which explains why i love the idea of marcille idealizing falin, right?

i understand my taste is niche, people generally dont want to see their otp going through relationship problems stemming from not being able to communicate well with each other, but i'm not being negative about my own otp just because i want them to experience angst that stems from canon worldbuilding, i'm exploring how their relationship can survive even with their differences

so as spoiler for the ending im planning for my comic: kabru tells falin it's no good to decide whether she should continue her relationship with marcille or not at this point where she's still confused about her feelings. so he suggests falin should go on her travel around the world to see how she would feel when she's away from marcille. "marcille can be overbearing because she experienced almost losing you. i'm not saying what she's doing is right, of course, but i am saying that you'll have an easier time deciding whether you truly love her or not if you know how it feels like to be without her."

and in the end, falin realizes she wants to be with marcille, but she wants to start over first as friends, to get to know each other as proper equals, instead of a senior who took her of her junior, instead of a distressed savior and her damsel. "i don't want to lose you, marcille"

Description: Your village was located near really weird place, "Cemetery of Shrines", huge chunk of forest territory, littered with few dozen of old abandoned shrines.

A welcoming place for a test of courage. And paying a debt.

You lost a bet and have to spend seven nights in an abandoned shrine. You must be alone, but you are allowed to go prepared. You also can choose the shrine you must stay in.

It's just an old building. There is no way something is hiding here.

Warning and tags: OOC. AU. Platonic Yanderes. One Shot series. Forced adoption. Chosen creatures are loosely based on real myths, their behavior can be different from the one depicted in myth.

A/N: Inspired by games "Wick" and "Five nights at Candy's 2". Names of Reader's friends are taken from "Wick" Characters.

All coincidences with real people are accidental, and do not serve the purpose of offending anyone.

This series might be more or less always running on this blog. The one-shots will be put into "seasons". Each season will include 5 fics (5 shrines/youkais/creatures).

Same creatures can appear in different seasons, but characters will be different.

I will prefer choosing characters for myself, but, if you have a proposal or an interesting idea for a youkai, you can send it, and I will consider adding it to a next season.

In a future, I might use the same characters in different seasons as different youkais or beasts. We will see.

"[Y/N], are you sure, that you will be okay?" your Grandma sounded concern. Of course, her grandchild and their friends were working on a hard and important school project. It was so hard, that they have to stay overnight for a whole week in Caleb's, one of their friend, house. You put a blanket in your backpack, trying not to look at her. You mumbled.

"I will be okay, Granny. I promise."

Old lady wasn't convinced, but dropped the subject.

"I will prepare a lunchbox for you. It is the least I can do, so Caleb's mom won't worry about feeding you."

She left your room without another word.

You felt bad for lying to her. She raised you, while your father was busy working in the city. She doesn't deserve to be lied to.

But, you can't tell her the truth. You can't tell her, that for a week you will stay at some abandoned shrine, because you lost a stupid bet. And, if you don't follow the conditions, the bullying with became even more unbearable.

You finish packing your little backpack (blanket, favorite plush toy and flashlight) and went to kitchen. You will take something to eat. And then, you will wait for a few more hours before going to Caleb's house.

And then to "Cemetery of Shrines".

You always wondered why there were so many shrines around the village. Teachers in school didn't know the answer, and your grandma can only tell you fairytales about youkais and mythological creatures.

Caleb's house was chosen for a reason.

First, the house was the closest to the Cemetery of Shrines.

Second, his parents, currently weren't home, and his older brother can't be bothered to count all kids in the house or look after them.

And he wasn't bothered, that a bunch of kids decided to go for a walk.

Caleb and his friends were flocking around you, while you were slowly going to the border of the forest. Of the "Cemetery of Shrines" border.

When you reach your destination, Caleb took a stack of small papers. Bad drawn maps were scribbled on them.

"So, what shire you chose, [Y/N]?" Caleb gave you an ugly grin.

You ignored him and his friends snickering and point at...
