Long time no Bud. Wow the last time I made her a ref was 2018. I experimented some with her pallet. Unsure if I like the profile head but oh well, open mouthed anime inspired profile faces are notoriously hard for a reason.

Honestly, with the current Milgram voting drama, I quite glad that Mikoto's MV is coming out in more than a month. It will give the non-Milgram fans time to get bored and do something else with their life.

It does make me really worried for Amane. She, out of everyone, needs nuanced discussion. Although, the religious character getting screwed over by a superstition is a little funny. But not funny enough to deserves her voting get ruined.

But don't lose hope guys! Please...

They'll get bored eventually.

Why haven't we ever gotten a proper adaptation of Iris West and Barry Allen's dynamic in live action Flash media? Because every time they get adapted as a couple, its always done badly in an uncomfortable way.

In the comics, they meet on a crime scene because Iris West is a reporter, Barry Allen is a CSI and that's that. This is the base of where we're starting at in terms of what to adapt from

In the 1990 Show, Barry is still a CSI and Iris is a computer graphics artist. She is also 9 years younger than Barry. I'm going to assume Barry is near or at least in his thirties in the show, because him dating a minor feels off. Thankfully Barry and Iris were not the focus couple in the show. More to critique on Iris though, she looks nothing like her comic counterpart and might as well be a totally different character.

In the 2014-2023 Flash TV Show Barry is still a CSI and Iris becomes a reporter over time. No real problem with that until you remember how they are basically step-siblings. I can see that the writer's intent was to make Barry and Iris childhood best friends to lovers, but did they have to make them basically step-siblings?

Then there's the most recent adaptation of the Flash in the movie. I expected this to be done better, but Barry's awkwardness prevents their chemistry from being palatable. It doesn't help that in Zack Snyder's Justice League, he caresses Iris' face while running at super speed. Again, I see the attempt to show his desire for connection but feels like he can never have that, but again its just weird. And it isn't supposed to be that weird. They knew each other in college, Barry was just too hesitant to talk to her.

So what have we learned today kids? Every adaptation of Iris West and Barry Allen's relationship makes things pretty weird for no reason. Same with Barry being himself with Iris, its always some degree of weird.

Idk it's always funny to me how in aitsf every thing and every one has a reason for being there and it's all connected and purposeful bc everyone has a hand in the mystery but aini everything is like loosely connected and the cast just feels bloated

#Like sorry I really think we could do without a lot of the side characters and their routes #I hate Kizuna and Lien's whole thing. I don't hate Kizuna but she's kind of an Iris clone and Lien is rewarded for being a creep #I hate Lien and I hate Gen . Someone make it stop #I havent replayed either games in ages but I should because I just feel so affirmed that the first game was way better in like almost every #storytelling aspect #I feel like a lot of aini fans would burn me at the stake for this but I teeter on feeling neutral about Bibi to hating that she exists #The only thing she has going for her is her sister relationship with Kizuna. & her sister relationship with Mizuki feels purely artificial #^Oh and her hating Ryuki but that parts just funny to me #Wow this is getting long. My monthly aini rant quota has been fulfilled I hope

i really do love practicing 🎻

#i'm in music school so now it's a much more significant source of my already very significant fears #but practicing only feels stressful when i don't do it enough and i'm trying to 'catch up'#some weeks fly past me like hurricanes and i get to my lesson and i can't say i've made any progress and that fucks me up #and i don't think that's ever going away- like i'll always have weeks like that cuz everyone has bad days and bad weeks #from time to time #but when i plan correctly (which is becoming more and more the norm for me) my practicing is something im really proud of :)#i have a System. i didn't do very well before i had it and i would die without it now.#i get excited about learning! i get excited having realizations abt things to change or work on when i practice!#it feels experimenty a lot of the time and i like it!!!#i have a lot of catching up to do in terms of comparing myself to others but i'm not here for them i'm here for me #i will do my best and i will learn from others of course but my goals are to make my Me better first and worry abt other people later #i won't lose sight of that #<- and when it doesn't feel experimenty it can be calming to just be like okay ik what i need to do now just. Practice. Repeat.#i mean music is a fucking rollercoaster and sometimes you are at the bottom and i hate that but it comes w the territory #sometimes you're just Stuck but you do get past it and in those moments i just try to think back to previous times ive felt like that #ive felt horribly shitty before and gotten through it and come out the other side slightly better!#life is like that i think #anyways. hashtag iris loves music and being a musician 🙄 nothing new over here hehe

I'm so normal I love it when the current blorbo canonically displays signs of trauma and it's noticed by the people and it's not played for jokes (aside from misunderstanding what their reactions really mean)

#playing bridge to the turnabout #i love how immediately phoenix is not having a good time #I love that Maya notices that something is up #I love how he can barely step foot on the bridge and absolutely hates that he has to cross it #and he still runs across it on the off chance that Maya is in danger #I love that Edgeworth is so worried about them both #I love that Phoenix is silently having a panic attack while Maya teases him about his 'crush' on Iris #i love that he gets quiet and snappy when he's triggered just like he was whenever edgeworth was brought up during AA2 #I love that even when he's got a high fever and cant leave his hospital bed he's still researching on his laptop bc he can't just do nothin #also sidenote: that forbidden hospital scene really is forbidden huh #they just don't show anything at all #we're just suddenly edgeworth who is confused and a little distressed and he doesn't even consider not helping phoenix out #he thinks this is all bullshit but he can't just not help wright when he needs it like that's not even conceivable #he does say 'i wish i never came back' all the time but never with anything that has to do with phoenix #mostly bc of larry which is completely understandable #sorry i needed to ramble im just very excited

Most of the time I don't care but something I never understood was why Pokemon fans hated Goh.

I only watched a few episodes of Journeys and maybe he got worst or something as time went on but I don't get it.

One reason for hating him I saw was because he caught a Legendary. Suicune specifically.

This was because he caught it in a regular ball? (I think) I really didn't see the problem.

One it was already really hurt and two this is the same show a Master Ball FAILED at catching a pokemon as basic as a Wiscash.

Maybe you have a better reason for hating him but I really don't see it.

Iris has been horribly grouchy lately. After the debacle with the well-meaning search party and her nearly mauling the lady from the space center I'm about ready to send her into the ring if it will help her cool off. I know Iris was originally trained to be a "cool" Umbreon, so maybe I'll have to give it a shot.
