I accidentally had a core memory unlocked that VERY quickly escalated into a story idea.

When I was young, we lived next to a field that had two horses in it. I don't know if my parents learned their names from the owner at some point, or if we made up our own names. But we called them Billy Bob and Love.

Eventually a third horse was added, but I don't remember what it's name was, or if it was male or female. But when I remembered Billy Bob and Love, my brain filled in the blank with Joy. And I thought that Love, Joy, & Billy Bob sounded like a fun story title. XD

The third horse IRL wasn't a Clydesdale, nor was it missing an eye. My brain's just filling in some blanks with what sounds fun to me. ^^

(Note; this part is NOT based on the IRL BB and Love)

Love, contrary to her name, is snooty and self-centered. Billy Bob would be like a loving but semi-distant father figure, at least to Joy. I don't know yet if they'd be like a father and two daughters or a SpyXFamily situation where they fall into being a family unit, with Love being the mother. (The idea of BB calling her Love and having folks be like "Oh you're a couple?" and them being like "Ew no way" is funny to me though. XD But little me maaaay have shipped the actual BB and Love.)

I have some itty bitty baby ideas with this story, but I don't know that I'll stick with it. But it was nice to think about those dear horses again~

Initially an Alexa-style assistant (in that it could do practically nothing and was very irritating) it develops over the years into a more advanced system. Eventually one of its units is reprogrammed to sound like a dead (I guess depending on your definition of dead, but his hearts not beating and he hasn’t moved in 44 years) character named Gordon. The AI renames itself “GORD” when a character expresses discomfort referring to it as Gordon. It says, and I quote, “Just think of a small pumpkin” —@mcskullmun

HERA IS THE BEST. she's an AI that tried to escape containment (slavery) because she didn't like what she was made to be, so they gave her anxiety because she was too powerful. She runs a whole spaceship all on her own, made friends with the world's most useless guy, and feels lonely even when she's with her crew because she feels like she's not properly with them. very beautiful very powerful. She broke her programming so she could kill people if she felt she needed to. She holds grudges if people fuck her over. She's experiencing emotions for the first time and she does NOT know how to cope (#relatable)

The 'mother program' of the space station Hephaestus, Hera was booted into space because she was a glitchy, rebellious mess of an AI and she resents that so much and she has a lot of shame over being 'broken'. She is four years old and so angry and is trapped using customer service voice forever and is learning ways to get around that and express herself and defy the people who would keep her down. Her episode "Memoria" made me cry. Best podcast AI of all time.

She's everything to me. She fights for every inch of respect she is given, she insists on her personhood and right to she/her pronouns, she's full of anxiety and self doubt and she justifiably is bent on killing this one guy! on top of that, she's bound by AI rules and protocols, but there's a whole bit where she talks about finding ways around that in order to do what she wants to do. She doesn't have hands so I'm going to high five a wall of this space station instead

Tig couples and whether or not I think they'll take their partners' last name when they get married.

Avery & Jameson: I 100% think Jameson would take Avery's last name. While I know Avery doesn't like her dad, she definitely must hate Tobias way more. The man quite literally used her as bait to protect his boys, so I don't think she wants the fortune to go back to the Hawthorne last name which would happen if she takes Jameson's last name. I don't really think he would mind, he would understand why.

Libby & Nash: I think that in this case Libby will take Nash's last name. I know Nash wants to stay the hell away from the Hawthorne last name, yet I think that for Libby changing her last name would be like letting go all the suffering she faced when she was younger, her father, mother and drake. So I think they both would rather keep the Hawthorne name.

Max & Xander: In my opinion, they will also choose the Hawthorne last name. I don't really have a reason why, it is just the vibes they give me. Also, Xander, despite all, loves Tobias. While Tobias wasn't the greatest Grandpa for the other boys, he was sort of acceptable with him, so I think he'll keep the last name.

Thea & Rebecca: I don't have much to say here more than BURN THE LAUGHLIN LAST NAME TO THE GROUND! I only like Becs from that family, so yeah Rebecca Calligaris it is.

Grayson & Lyra: ( I ship them so...) Neither will change their last name. I don't think Grayson wants to be anything more than a Hawthorne, and Lyra had her life screwed by a Hawthorne, so I don't think she will want that. Either each of them keep their last name or they'll choose a hyphenated surname like: Hawthorne-Kane or Kane-Hawthorne. If they have kids of course they will have both last names (just like I do, in my country we don't change our surname when we get married).

So, my last rec list was well received. Therefore, I thought I would do another, not only for those interesting in reading, but for the writers as well. I know I'm blessed with wonderful readers and I love everyone for it.

The Scientist and the Saiyan by EverydayBulma: Human AU where Bulma is forced to find a new roommate. Suddenly, she finds herself living with one grumpy Vegeta.

Given by Light When it Gleams by klty: An amazing soulmark fic taking place during the three year gap where Vegeta sees his own name written in the Saiyan alphabet on Bulma. Naturally, he does everything he can to avoid that she finds her name on him.

Inevitable Retribution by LilacStorm: An original take on Bulma and Vegeta meeting in space. They're both planning to take down Frieza, but don't think they are on the same side. And Bulma is not the only Earthling in space.

Mission Critical by herpb4uderp: Vegeta and his men are tasked with transporting precious cargo that can save Earth, along with the scientist who made it.

Ad Astra by darkscreener: Bulma, Gohan and Vegeta are the only survivors after Namek. They make an uneasy alliance as they go in search of another set of dragon balls while different fractions begin to fight for control over the former Frieza Empire.

Euphorics by DesertParadox: Future Bulma said that it was a one time thing between her and Vegeta. She omitted the fact that it was a one time marathon!

Remember that these are ongoing fics. The authors will most definitely love and be encouraged by kudos and comments.

So here they are!! (with different color varieties) they are inspired by the Indian Fantail pigeon so they are a little lady OH! They also go by she/they! I currently do not have a name for her just yet. Anyways despite her "professional" appearances she is a motherly sweetheart she adores children and loves being a fandancer, at her old job (which will be redacted) she tended to children and wishes to have some of her own day. She was removed from her job due to certain complications regarding her species and now resides at the casino as a performer! (very original) Also last little note as much as I love the brothers and favor them HEAVILY, I love cowboys more! 🫶 so I wanna ship them with Toby so badlyyyyyy he needs more love too! Spock prime and AOS Spock canonically meet. You and many other authors have done a great job exploring and delving into the interesting ways they react.

Recently I've been fascinated by TOS Kirk might react to his AOS counterpart.

You are one of my favourite fic authors, I would love to get your opinion. I've recently reread The Recitation of Names and adored your exploration of Kirk. Personally, I find that AOS Kirk's characterization emphasized how fascinating and elusive the inner workings of TOS Kirk's mind is.

On surface level I think that AOS Kirk would use meeting Kirk prime for self loathing purposes. It probably would activate his problems with authority, because who is more of an authority on your life and how it should/could have gone than an older version of you.

TOS Kirk's reaction is harder to crack.

I think you're right about AOS Jim. In my fic Grief as a four-dimensional figure, knowing about Kirk Prime triggers Jim's daddy issues...you know, guy you've never met who everyone's always comparing you to, who you know you'll never be as good as. Especially if AOS Kirk isn't with his Spock and he knows TOS Kirk is/was—like great, if I were as cool as him, Spock would like me, but I'm not so he never will.

TOS Kirk though....hm. If he was a lot older, I think he'd try to help, give his younger self the kind of fatherly guidance his own dad gave him. (AOS Jim almost certainly would react badly to that.) But if they're the same age? I think TOS Jim would be downright offended that he worked and struggled and was top of his class and worked his way up the ranks, only to see his alternate self just got handed a ship for saving the Earth a total of once. I could imagine some resentment. Plus, Kirk Prime doesn't have much patience for officers who mess around and don't take their job seriously. He'd be pretty cold to him.

Alternatively, they'd have sex. Because both of them agree, James Kirk is hot and charming.

First one is that Pomni likes to borrow Gangle's anime hoodie even tho it's twice her size

Third one is that they have little drawing dates where Gangle teaches Pomni some art techniques and stuff, but they would sometimes watch anime in the middle of them bcuz Gangle gets distracted easily (man I have to do a comic about this someday)

Fourth is that uhhhhhhh Gangle likes to hold Pomni in her lap and play with her LITTLE hands like a mom does with a baby (I really hope you can visualize that or else I'm being weird 😭)

So I just read the demo for the first time and… are you okay? Like do you need to talk to someone? Cuz holy shit, that was depressing. Don’t get me wrong, it was great, but I am just mentally, emotionally, and physically drained now (don’t ask me about that last part). All in all, I really enjoyed it, but I do have some thoughts.

Firstly, I don’t understand how anyone from Rosea (except for Hunter, Fadiya and her mom, and maybe Helios) has any fans. Like did they just forget that everyone else (including Lancelot) contributed to the total destruction of our family? Everyone’s over here shipping Lancelot and Luceris, and to be fair, if this was a different story I would too, but like… they’re the enemy? Speaking of Luceris…

Dude is on some shit. Like I get it’s the point, but everything about our relationship with him just feels weird and wrong, and I’m counting the days til we can kill him. Until then, I guess I’ll have to make do with disrespecting the memory of his dead wife at every opportunity. Also side note, but as a Straight Male tm it does feel a little weird having to fake a romance with another guy, especially a guy that’s like fifty years older than me lol (Luceris really isn’t beating the Catholic Priest allegations)

The rest of the cast are a lot of fun, and I’m glad they all at least have sympathy towards MC. I think Hunter is the coolest character ever and I want to be them, and Fadiya can do no wrong in my eyes. Vincent sucks, but I haven’t really spent much time with him so maybe that’ll change. Helios I feel sorry for. He’s a nice guy and I do like him a lot, but he’s unfortunately collateral damage in my crusade against Father Luceris. I hate that we have to hurt him to get revenge, but it feels very realistic and gives your decisions a lot more weight.

On the flip side, Soarine is perfect and has never done anything wrong in her life ever. If Soarine has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Soarine has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Soarine has only one fan then that is me. If Soarine has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Soarine, then I am against the world.

All in all, I love what you’re doing with this game, even if I do have to take a twenty minute break after each playthrough just to decompress lol. I can’t wait to see where this goes and am gonna stare at a wall until the next update drops. Thanks for making such an interesting story and give Soarine my love 💚

I enjoy Lancelot and Luceris' dynamic but I feel like that's to be expected since I literally created them. 💀 The day I write in all of the side couples you'll combust. /j

But also you don't have to fake a "romance" with Luceris? 😥💀 I can only think of the husband comments MC can make and those are entirely optional so...

So, despite all the efforts to up the ratings and get season 2 for Yabani, the ratings dropped again which means no season 2 and there are only 2 episodes left before the series finale. And, to be honest, I'm glad that we're not getting season 2. They don't know what to write and how to finish this season so it's better to just end it now, while they haven't damaged the show beyond repair and changed the characters beyond recognition.

It doesn't mean though that it's not hard to say goodbye. It always is, despite everything. Because the cast of this show is a true gem and I haven't seen such a friendly, open and closely knit cast that are truly passionate about what they do. Yamlaz bromance is now one of my favourite bromances ever, although they could've done so much more with these two. And then there's my Aslaz ... They're toxic af and definitely not an example of what love and relationship should be. They're everything it shouldn't be 🙈😂 But their chemistry and passion is unmatched. I've seen so many ships. I can name only a few that truly left their mark and became my OTPs. Despite all of Aslaz's imperfections they're now and forever on my short favourites list. I'm gonna miss my crazy unhinged babes 😭💔
