My current oc, Of course.

Anyways, lets cut to the chase and start with the legand.

Long before stone monkey's, there were many more races, such as Panda's, Red panda's, Tigers, and snow leopards, to name a few. One day, The panda queen got made at the Red panda's for using their name, and decided they were going to be called: "Lesser panda's" instead.

This offended the red panda queen, and so she started a war against the panda's, which she sadly lost, due to her lack of allies.

The celestial gods were enraged by the Panda queen's actions, and if she didn't use the blessed redwood she was given to carve a new Red panda queen, her immortality would be stripped away, therefore casting out her leadership role.

Panda queen refused, and refuse she did...Until her people revolted against her after figuring out she wasn't immortal anymore. Before she died, she hastily carved Scarlet, dropping her off the side of the mountain as she died.

Scarlet managed to fend for herself, though, Due to being immortal at birth. She made a living with her new friend Ming Yue, who is a snow leopard. And she now trains with her mentor crush, Macaque.

Ming is jealous of this, though.

Scarlet's personality?

She's very childish because she wasn't exactally..."raised" per say. Also, very sassy and moody most of the time. Other than that, she's very...Eclipse-y. But selectivley. One moment she's a ball of sunshine and energy who is bouncing off the walls and fangirling at the same time, and the next she's as calm as the cold cup of tea with ice swishing around in it as an asmr. And before you ask, Yes, she has both of my mental dissabilities (ADHD and ASD or Autisim Spectrum dissorder).

which is a work in progress but the basic plot synopsis is that it starts as a slice of life and shenanigans with the association employees

but then the Catalyst happens and what's basically the apocalypse happens

our main characters are Sans (Spade) and Kyrian, and their main goal is to find their respective brothers, Papyrus (Clover) and Evelin

they don't know if Pap and Eve are okay or even alive, because they were out of town on a mission--but they were due to come back on the day the catalyst happened, so their status is unconfirmed

Name: Lyra Shelby (however wants to legally change her last name to Lockley)

Age: in her early to mid 30s

Height: 5 foot 3 inches, so rather short

Important info: Lyra is the avatar of Mafdet, the goddess of divine retribution. Being a cheetah goddess, Lyra has many feline like abilities. She has super speed, advanced senses, and her nails elongate and harden into claws. She grows ears and tail when she shifts to her hero persona.

Relationship status: considers herself married, though she doesn't have her husband's name or ring...it's complicated.

Orientation: female, she/her pronouns, panromantic, demisexual, polyamorous.

Unlike the Moon Knight system, Lyra's avatar status is a family affair. The Goddess Mafdet is cursed, bound to the bloodline of her first priestess by her ex lover, ironically Khonshu, God of the moon. The two still go at it at times, and their situation is more complicated with their avatars being "married".

Lyra considers herself a married woman, though she can't legally marry her "husband", Jake Lockley. Jake is a part of the Moon Knight system, which contains three different personalities in one body: Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and of course Jake Lockley. Marc, the main personality, is still married to his wife Layla, and Lyra doesn't wish to interfere with that. That being said, all three of them live together after learning about Jake and Lyra. Its a complicated situation but they all make it work.

When she's not doing superhero work, Lyra is an author and independent journalist, with a few books out and is currently working on a new one. Shes bilingual, speaking both English and German. Lyra also understands some Spanish thanks to Jake, though she herself doesn't speak it.

Like the Moon Knight system she also comes from a history of abuse, from a mostly absent, military oriented father and a stepmother who mistreated her. She has siblings but she doesn't talk to them all that much anymore. Bringing them up is a bit of a sore subject for her, as she has deep seated resentment and desire for revenge against them (which is how she emerged as Mafdets avatar to begin with). Shes in therapy but it only barely helps keep the resentment at bay...

Digimon Au

Going to be putting my Digimon Au stuff under that tag, most of it about my OC and her Lucemon partner. Expect retcons if you are keeping an eye on this as I sort the world out better. In this Digital World, the lands tend to have many small villages, some city hubs, and some areas claimed as a territory by stronger digimon, witt he strong digimon 'ruler' being the one who is ultimately turned to when the peace keepers cant solve a problem, or it has grown beyond normal resolution. Or you have places where its just "Oh thats Lady Devimon's lands, a lot of Dark and Virus type digimon tend to live there and we dont bother them because she doesnt like vaccine or holy types much. Territory boundaries can shift by a village's consensus that they are ok with being rulled by the neighboring territory ruler, or by said territory ruler using thier strength to force the issue.

That said lot of the Digital world is free areas, cities, and villages also not under a territory, and the Village of Beginnings is never under anyone's territory by general consensus. Still, something happened, and some digimon decided to upend the order of things, and as happens often, the mightiest beings and digimon gods of that world called in children from the human world to give aid, trusting the children's potential for growth to pair with chosen digimon and defeat the digimon threatening the stability of the world. They of course succeeded, but digimon lords and territory rulers who kept an eye on things had noticed some frankly eyebrow raising interventions when said children and thier partners got nearly killed.

Lucemon was one of these observers. He had fallen quite a bit ago, cast from the digital god's grace for questioning why some digimon were bad and deserving of being called evil and killed on sight by the more zealous of the other angels, and why some werent, of that god had made them all, in the first place. He had helped being about a peace with his wisdom, and was far too proud when he was praised by the grateful. Among other things, Lucemon is a bit more jaded now, but didnt fully turn into the tyrannical ruler that needed to be sealed away, nor put himself fully with evil forces. And thus is the stage for the AU, where the crisis of the digital world happened a handful of years ago in the human world, and humans are slowly entering the digital world as some system grants digivices or people are sucked in on accident. And the digimon themselves starting the bias that humans are always good, if a bit mean sometimes, and starting to associate rank to a digimon who has a human partner.

Hi hi! So the lost tombs and chronology all super confuse me. So tlt2 ended on a cliffhanger that was not resolved by tlt3 which is ultimate note, but now there is another tlt3 that I am guessing is made by the same studio as tlt2 (but not UN) that actually follows tlt2? And it has the same WPZ as tlt2 (but sadly different WX, ZQL though I’m sure these guys are great). You seem to know what you’re talking about so I’m hoping you can help!

UN also ended on a cliff hanger so I’m wondering if they’ll get a sequel from their studio that comes before tomb of the sea.

ahhh hello anon! yes ahaha the dmbj dramas are certainly very confusing--because they keep switching the screenwriters/entire production team between dramas. huanrui did tlt1 (2015), tlt2 (2019), and the sequel to tlt2 (2021). they're also technically the production company for un (2020), but linghe did like all the directing/casting/writing so its significantly different in tone and quality from the other dramas huanrui produced. npss (dmbj author) did sha hai (2018) and tltr (2020), with sha hai being in collab with linghe, so you can see lots of parallels with un and shared cast. (gonna add that i dont know much about the m9 because that’s not what im personally interested in, so i’m only going by stories with wu xie & the iron triangle.)

unfortunately, the dramas pretty have no continuity as a result of all the weird shit and multiple studios doing different dramas and messy stuff going on behind the scenes. the author's production company currently has all the rights back for filming future dramas, which is......imo, a good thing for book fans who love the author but a 😬 thing for book fans who like the original story more than what the author is now doing with it. I'll uh avoid saying too much opinion stuff though so no more on that 😅

that aside! yes 云顶天宫 “explore with the note” part 2......is the direct sequel to tlt2 and done by the same studio. unfortunately the writers are different and im not sure how much of the production team is the same either. idk how much you know about the novels so brief summary here--for the chinese version, the main story has 9 parts split among 8 books (though the official eng tls have each part being a different book) with some important content being as follows:

official eng title “cavern of blood zombies” (first time wx goes into a tomb, first t3j meeting)

official eng title “angry sea, hidden sands” (xisha seabed tomb, introduce a-ning)

official eng title “bronze tree of death” (bronze tree in qinling, wx & lao yang solo adventure)

official eng title “palace of doom” (heavenly palace on the clouds, introduce bronze gate)

official eng title “deadly desert winds” (golmud, introduce hei xiazi, desert, rainforest, tamutuo)

btw between sha hai and chongqi there’s also ten years later (a short story) that covers how wu xie and pangzi pick up xiaoge from the bronze gate and take him home

the dramas Do Not Connect To Each Other At All, which the exception of tlt2 & tlt2 pt2 somewhat, but they go in this order:

盗墓笔记 / the lost tomb 1 (2015): covers part 1 but with major OCs and filler, and includes the auction scene from part 8 for some reason, so introduces xiao hua early.

怒海潜沙&秦岭神树 / the lost tomb 2 (2019) technically “explore with the note”: covers parts 2 & 3 but with major OCs and filler, introduces xiao hua & xiuxiu (and hei xiazi briefly) early. last couple episodes also cover the beginning of part 4. not a direct sequel to tlt1 despite being done by the same studio.

云顶天宫 / heavenly palace on the clouds (2021) technically also “explore with the note”: covers part 4 with major OCs and filler (and the same changes carrying over from tlt2). some episodes are identical to the last couple episodes of tlt2. works as a direct sequel only if you ignore the last couple episodes of tlt2 that take place in the snowy mountains. (those episodes of tlt2 were filmed after this drama was filmed, and im still not sure why they dragged the wu xie and xiaoge from tlt2 back to changbai mountain to film those episodes.)

终极笔记 / ultimate note (2020): covers parts 5-8 with minor OCs and minimal filler, also introduces xiao hua & xiuxiu early. the only adaptation that resembles its source material most of the time.

沙海 / tomb of the sea (2018): covers the second sequel with major OCs and filler. includes some bits from zhh and the short story “three days of silence”.

重启之极海听雷 / the lost tomb reboot (2020): covers third sequel with major OCs and filler.

in addition there is the prequel series mystic nine (2016) and side movies for the dramas that the author produced. there is also a single standalone movie--time raiders (2016) that is....well it’s. very strange. it’s fully subbed on youtube if you’re interested?

the best way to watch the dramas is to assume each one is its own self-contained AU set along different points of the dmbj timeline because even the dramas the author himself worked on don’t have continuity LOL (and with the exception of ultimate note & sha hai most of the time, also assume most characters are pretty OOC from the novels).

i uh regret to inform you though, that ultimate note will not be getting a sequel unless the author magically decides to not care about making money anymore and sells the rights to film the finale to linghe or something ^^;;;; it’s....unfortunate bc un is the most highly-rated dmbj adaptation on douban by A Lot, but it’s an adaptation that the author had literally nothing to do with whatsoever.

Im just Gonna run through his totally overpowered Powers and maybe touch on his story a bit

His "Claws" are giant hooked swords two for each Arm They hurt him a lot so he doesn't tend to use them also they are big and clunky.

His blood temporary heals people and cures Diesease and stuff (Temporarily).

His bones are mixture of titanium, Nth metal, Vibranium and adamantium (He is a crossover of DC and Marvel but if he Wasnt just Cross out the Nth metal).

He is the strongest member of the Snkit family Having near hulk strength he can go toe to toe with juggernaut.

He can drink blood and temporarily gain the power of whoevers blood he drank (He can store these powers but they are limited) If he Eats bone marrow Or spinal fluid of someone he gets there powers for a Much longer time No one knows the limit of it.

He Gains the skill (And unfortunately memory) of whoevers brain he eats.

His healing powers are the best/Worst he can survive a headshot and keep on chugging but his body only goes after Big wounds So if he has a small scratch his body wont heal it same with intestinal damage and problem with his inards

He can and will eat Double his Body weight

He can loose limbs but they can reattach. If you hit a Joint or a Connecting point (Thats just a Joint right 😅) or it just gets pulled on a lot his Limb may fall off but it can be easily reattached by him just Putting the severed limb on the stump and it'll heal itself.

He. likes. Guns. If he was in a Video game he would definitely be a Assault Or marksman class. When he was "Evil" his loadout can range from A bow and arrow and Concussion 'Nades to a MG42 and lunge mines. When he was "Evil" he had a limited choice on what weapons he could have but once he became free his weapon choice got a bit erratic and strange and once he got with X men Or just Xavier and logan (The snkit fam as well) his weapon usage Lessened He still keeps a M1911 in his chest just in case.

He has the body of a 13-14yo and maybe the mind of a 8-10yo.... That is a mass murderer

His favorite member of the Snkit fam is Gabbie because he can relate to her so much But also Laura for the same reason as Fannie

I forgot the mention he is a clone just like Laura But was given (Argueably) worse treatment

FLUFF / ANGST / SMUT! -     lmfao i love them all. some of the best rps ive ever done had all three at once. fluff is often better when built up with angst and vise versa, and smut is all the more fun to write when you have some serious chemistry and history between two muses. But yeah, love all three. It just depends on my mood i guess

PLOT / MEMES! -  While I love the spontaneous and free form of ask prompts, and i appreciate how they can help you test the waters for an interaction, I’ll always be a sucker for pre-plotted rp. Sometimes it doesnt work like that with every rp partner, some really good rps came from prompts or just winging it. but generally? i really love having plots with my rp partner so we have a general idea of where we are going. however as with most things in rp, even plotted rps are flexible and can go anywhere, which is the beauty of it. i like a mix of plotting and winging stuff; have a general idea of what we want to do, what kinda dynamic we want our muses to have, what setting they will be interacting in and then just go off from there. so i guess a mix of both lol?

oh man! this took a while. and i was considering including my synth oc, but im still kinda working on fleshing him out and soooo it was too difficult anyway lets go

(answers below the cut)

2-- "Does your character have any noteworthy features? Freckles? Dimples? A scar somewhere unusual? etc."

cedric (fo4): freckles!!! hancock likes to tease him about them (preston quite likes them too. his boyfriends all do, actually, but !!!) also he definitely does have a few scars, mostly on his arms and torso from combat, both in the wasteland and the military, which is to be expected. none that are particularly special. one going across his mouth, from a fight that he cant quite remember. and one that he does remember, vividly, is a radiation-caused burn scar in and around his left eye. he hasn't been able to use that eye ever since. generally, he gets injured quite easily, but this is mostly bruises rather than scars (mostly due to a deficiency of vitamins.) he bruises like a ripened peach.

emil (fnv): they do have dimples, actually! and a light speckling of freckles. they dont like how it looks, though, so they cover it up when possible. luckily the dimples are only visible when smiling, and the freckles are only really easy to see when they get a lot of sun exposure, so these markings dont really take away from their "intimidating" appearance. definitely more scars than the other ocs, though they cant remember where any of the scars came from. a few on their face, but mostly all over their body. one that always stuck out to them was one that is almost a perfect ring, going all around their neck. additionally, one of their gauges was ripped out in a fight, and so their ear ripped entirely.

hes been through a lot. he really has, over the past two-hundred-something years. his wife died, he lost his child, he was suddenly thrust years into the future with little to no preparation. it isnt easy. and as much as he wants to think, "it made me stronger," its hard not to want to go back. back to when everything was normal, easier. because sometimes he feels like even if it did make him stronger, it also made him emptier. he still feels sympathy for people, but hed never even considered being able to kill someone before, and now suddenly its a constant in his life. he used to look forward to seeing shaun, the light of his life, grow into a man. and now... everything has disappointed him. he didnt want the future to be this way. times have changed, he has changed. and he hates it.

theyve always struggled with truly baring themself to someone. partially because they find it unimportant, but also because theyre afraid. so instead their free time is full of drunken hookups and taking advantage of people. they used to feel guilty, but they struggle to anymore. "i lived through it, so can they," is essentially their thought process. as much as they know its wrong, they cant help but defend it in their own mind, that theyve gone through the same thing and it made them stronger. theyre just making those folks stronger, yeah?

again, they know its wrong. but it helps them get through their life, and thats already hard enough, without worrying about others feelings. theyve disappointed enough people, whats a few more? they already arent going to heaven, whats the point anymore?

honestly i think about the art that i want to do a lot, and in this last year or so ive thought about the art i want to do more than ive been able to actually create and finish that art that i want to do. for my planning i tend to do a lot of different thumbnail sketches for the art im thinking of

these are some examples of thumbnails, a lot of times ill do thumbnails just on pencil and paper and with some of these theyre done quickly with my fingers on my phone note function on a day where i was feeling too bad to get up and draw on paper but still wanted to get the thumbnail ideas down. two of these are for the same songxiao piece that i still havent finished and i have more thumbnails digitally on clip studio for the same piece, i do a lot more thumbnails when a piece isnt working the way i want it to and theres times where ill completely scratch a thumbnail or a sketch and start over in order to do more thumbnails because i dont feel happy with some aspect of it.

two of these are small gouche painting thumbnails for two pieces i did maybe a month or so ago, i did the thumbnails and then tried to expand on them digitally and im wanting to do more thumbnail paintings like this in the future because it was fun

for the piece of my oc trio it was based off a series of ask prompts i got for a few different outfit prompt memes i had reblogged, so i based their outfits on the ones in the meme. when im drawing figures i tend to try and get the movement down in the poses when im sketching, i do several rough sketches of the pose before beginning to start setting down lines (if im doing lineart at all because sometimes i dont like doing lineart and do a more lineless painting kind of style). i really try to get my art to convey some kind of emotion, in the oc piece i wanted it to feel fun and like youre seeing three best friends while theyre out on the town having a fun night

2. creating

this is the only real example i have of a piece in the middle of being filled in and created, this piece is one that im really not very happy with & have had lying around for a while and ill probably scrap it and try to come at it from a different perspective at some point. but anyway it still shows what i do, i lay down a kind of neutral gray color underneath my final sketch/lineart if im doing lineart in that piece and then i start picking out the colors that i want for the piece and kind of setting out a pallette for myself. i dont do this color pallette thing 100% of the time but i do it really often, especially if im working on a commission or a larger piece where i know theres going to be a lot of colors or if its a piece where im not sure exactly what color scheme i want so laying out the colors together helps me kind of decide what kind of scheme i want. i am sooooo picky about my colors in my art i am genuinely obsessed with colors in art and there are times where i really have to stop myself from working on something forever just constantly adding more colors or putting little tiny changes and gradients in the colors.

after ive got the colors i want down i tend to try and block out parts of the piece with the base color for that section, and then i start to paint with the colors that i want to go on top of that base color from there.

once im satisfied with the colors/shading/rendering and everything ill go back and look over things and will fix things that look off or sometimes completely redo segments if they dont look right to me. when i was younger and mainly doing digital art using my phone and my fingers i would use a lot of filters and overlays on top of my art once i was done, and honestly im glad to not be doing that anymore because i dont think it made my art look any better. i do color adjustments and sometimes will put on a color overlay or a layer to emphasize the shadows and the light in the piece, but i try to keep those layers to a minimum and like i said before i have a tendency to obsess over the colors and ill spend a good amount of time in the color adjustment tool of clip studio and then ill just decide "actually it looks fine as it is" so yeah!

3. posting

i feel like i dont have a lot to say here gbfm i mean i honestly have a lot of thoughts about the relationship between artists and social media and how social media changes our views on art including our own art and how we can feel like we constantly need to be posting new art and just become content machines churning out new stuff. but ill save that rant for another time. i used to be really concerned about how many notes my art would get when i was younger, and i dont at all blame anyone who still is very concerned about that bc it sucks when u work hard on something youve created and then you dont get a lot of recognition for it, but honestly within the last two years or so i feel like ive begun to have a lot healthier relationship with posting my art. i really just post my art on my art blog, reblog it to my main blog, and then thats that yknow! i do really appreciate any and all support people give me, it means the world to me, but for me having the mentality where i dont need to post all the art i make and i dont need to be posting every day or every week or every month even has been a lot healthier for me because then im not constantly asking myself why didnt this get notes is my art awful??? and yeah i just kind of post it and my brain goes okay were done with that art we gotta make more

ive honestly been struggling a lot with art thru the pandemic and if youre reading this and have been struggling with creating in any way recently or even before the pandemic, please know theres no shame in having trouble creating and it doesnt make you bad at whatever it is u create!

in a hypothetical da2 romance it makes perfect sense to me that she’d latch onto the other Elf Who Is Full Of Rage immediately. they are both very intense and it can put other people off sometimes but they dont really care! die mad about it, shem! etc

in a hypothetical dai romance she’d be drawn (platonically) to blackwall bc grey warden stuff, but subconsciously they both kind of feel like frauds, like they dont deserve happiness, etc; theyre both kinda brusque, at least at first, too. she just kinda sees him as a buddy til she watches him bonding w sera or with some kids or something and then shes like  😳 😳 😳 and then angry that shes like that lmao
