Of course, you know Victoria so we'll just skip right on by her starting with characters that currently have public fics, starting with-

Shippo Inuzuka, from Bare my Fangs Fandom: Naruto Current Word-Count: 34k Rewrite Word-Count: 20k Twin sister of Kiba Inuzuka, Shippo is currently an Academy Student in training within Konohagakure. Alongside her ninja pups Aomaru and Momomaru, Shippo dedicates her days to studious training and play as she gets to know her fellow classmates. I have a lot of feelings about this fic. I started it before Naruto came to an end which always made it a little more difficult for me to write. I love the Inuzuka Clan a LOT and was very disappointed at the lack of oc-inserts more focused around them - so, I decided to write my own! It's been a very long time since I've updated this fic or even really thought about it and a large part of that is now that Naruto has come to an end, I'd really like to re-write it.

It's an old story with a lot of themes I no longer like, going in a direction I'm no longer sure about. However, because of this I'm excited to work on the project again! I have a lot more writing experience compared to when I first started it and I'd like to apply that to this story the proper way it deserves ♥

As it is, for any BMF readers here you can consider the current iteration of the story abandoned as I undergo this. Some major themes will stay the same, but a lot won't.

Shippo as a character is someone I've thought about a lot and have really come to love - the Shippo I envision now is someone a little unhinged; feral, in a sense, someone who plays off the wild nature of Kiba Inuzuka and the clan as a whole effortlessly. I don't really want to spoil too much about her and what I currently have written of the rewrite, so I'll leave it at that.

Her pups will absolutely be staying the same - I love Aomaru and Momomaru so so so much. I have very big plans for them.

Monkey D. Lucy, from Abyssal Fandom: One Piece Current Word-Count: 32k Rewrite Word-Count: 0k, Under Plot and Character-Building Twin sister of Monkey D. Luffy, Lucy is a young girl residing with the mountain bandits - and her brothers - on Dawn Island. She spends her days training in preparation for her eventual departure to sea with her twin and her overall terror of the ocean.

Abyssal has always been one of my backburner fics; One Piece was nowhere near its final arc when I first started it and I had been desperately hoping for more information on Luffy's background as a whole before delving in too deep into the story - it's a fic I didn't focus on too much and worked on when the mood struck.

One Piece is still my favorite anime/manga, so of course I plan on continuing with it eventually - most likely after the series has reached its conclusion.

Monkey D. Lucy will retain her terror of the ocean, only she now comes with a brand spanking new personality.

I have a general idea of where I want to go with her - someone who's passionate, reckless, violent, and beautiful. I have a character outline page written and a lot of rough sketches :)

Yuta Amelia Heartfilia, from Soulbound Fandom: Fairy Tail Current Word-Count: 10k Rewrite Word-Count: 45k This fic as it is has been completely abandoned. I've been working on a rewrite from the ground up for a while now - starting with the awful name, which is now Amelia.

I haven't talked about this fic anywhere or approached Soulbound in a long time - but I have been working on a rewrite for a few months now.

I adore Fairy Tail a lot - and now that it's come to a close I feel like I have a lot of freedom with this fic. There really isn't a lot of world-building and the general makeup of magic is very fluid to work with. I think Fairy Tail's strongest asset is its characters, which are honestly so so much fun to write.

As a result of this, I think Amelia is one of my more rounded-out characters.

Amelia is the younger sister of Lucy Heartfilia - and by younger, that is to say at the start of her story she is 11 years old, which makes her 6 years younger than Lucy.

Amelia is a quiet kid with no filter when she does speak - which makes her, rather unintentionally, a bit of an asshole. She's not good at reading people and has no real desire to engage with them - she leaves all of that charisma bullshit to her sister. Growing up on the streets after running away from home at a young age has made her street savvy; she's small, but lithe and very agile when she expends the effort towards it.

She spent most of her young life in cheap rooms in dodgey areas situated above taverns or whore houses while Lucy picked up odd jobs and magic requests to keep them afloat. This has encouraged a crass nature and a proclivity towards swearing that exasperates her sister greatly.

She's incredibly co-dependent on Lucy, who has acted as both parental roles for the majority of her life. She can't imagine life without her and is willing to do anything to keep her safe.

She holds no memories of any previous lives she may or may not have lived.

She was blessed with a rather simple form of Celestial Spacial Magic; the ability to teleport herself and objects a short distance around her. She adores her ability and often uses it for the purpose of being lazy.

I've been having a lot of fun writing this fic. Unlike my other fics this one alternates between the main siblings frequently, to the point that I'd say that they're both the main protagonists.

As a general result of leaving home so much earlier than canon, Lucy has changed a lot as well, but well - I'll leave that for the readers to find out when I do finally start posting chapters.

As for the fics I've kept almost completely on the down-low; these are fics I don't plan on posting for a very long time, but have been working on.

Anna Weasley, from Untitled Project Fandom: Harry Potter Current Word-Count: 60k Anna Weasley is a starry-eyed child - she sees the world through dream-hued glasses tainted at the edges by nightmares brought on by her rather bad habit of dying. Sometimes she sees things that others can't and that's okay - she has her twin, Ron, to help her sort out the muddled mess that is her mind.

She's bright in a simple kind of way, and a bit odd, but eternally optimistic and loyal to those she loves.

As much as I would love love love to talk endlessly about Anna, this is where I'm going to leave it. I have a lot planned for this fic and writing it between Echoes has been fun. I love the Weasley's, if you couldn't tell, and I feel like passing up the chance to jump into a story with a Weasley-centric OC would be a travesty.

Also Anna is like, in my top 3 OC's to doodle when I feel up to it ♥

Umeko Haruno, from Untitled Project Fandom: Naruto Current Word-Count: 70k Umeko Haruno has had her nose stuck to the grindstone studying and training for her future career as a shinobi for as long as she can remember. Growing up with a training companion in the form of her brilliant twin has pushed her into a diligent pursuit to surpass her own limits.

This mentality was largely influenced by the passing of her shinobi mother when she was still very young. A casualty of a mission gone wrong, her loss was felt deeply by the family with ripples that never quite ceased. Umeko's desire to live up to her mothers legacy, become strong enough to protect those she has left, and push herself to the extreme has resulted in her being a workaholic with an obsession to become a more efficient shinobi.

She's very book-smart and clinical, but she doesn't let that overshadow her kindness. She has a low tolerance for incompetence and values training above all else - there is almost no form of training she isn't willing to try, no matter the blow it might deal to her dignity or the respect others have for her.

I'm really really excited for this fic. It's a lot more fast paced than my other ones and writing it has been a lot of fun - Umeko is just a lot of fun. I've kept this fic completely hushed up simply because of Bare my Fangs, but as you can see I've got quite a bit written already.

I have a very strong idea of her story progression and how it will ultimately affect those around her, as well as the plot as a whole. I've got a few twists and turns planned that I can't wait to unveil ♥

An update on my fics

hey wow it's been 4 months

Nearly six months on both longfics lmao. I've been busy and will continue to be busy, unfortunately. Grad school is a different beast entirely to undergrad (be careful taking 3 grad classes in a semester. 2 heavy ones can really make you regret it), I need to prepare for job interviews and PhD program applications, and this summer I've been wrangling an internship and research work.

Even so tho, my MTAS brainrot is far from dead. It takes a lot of time and effort, but I still have a lot I want to do with the My Time verse and my OCs, both art and fic. So here's a quick update on where I am and what the plan is with my fics and fic series going forward, and some previews of what I have so far (on a separate post bc this one's already too long lmao)!

Earth and Sky

Currently my primary focus. E&S has evolved a TON since I decided to rewrite it. How much? Well...

[Drafting = first draft is in progress; Revising = draft is plot-complete, set aside for future editing passes]

In fact, I haven't even outlined the ending chapters since I recently had a change of heart in the kind of resolution I wanted. I got stuck on it enough that I decided to forego outlining anything for now and playing that one more by ear. I think any more time I spend tweaking these outlines might put me off this fic altogether :P

As someone that started writing with nameless/generic builders, writing for an OC is a different kind of challenge. I'm working to try and strike a good balance of focus on Wis vs Qi vs them together, and making Wis a very human, if not enjoyable character. Still, I think that this is one of those projects that if I can get right, it will be VERY right. It'll just take a bit to get there first :>

At minimum, I'll wait until most if not all of the chapters in the first third/quarter are done (chapters 1-16) to start posting, though hopefully I'll also have a solid idea for how some of the later chapters will go as well. Those are the really (internal) conflict-heavy chapters and I want to make sure it won't come out as shallow :P But I am excited to show you what I've got cooking!

A Cosmic Garden

This is the broader series for Wis and Qi. E&S will be the biggest fic, but it only goes up to a little beyond MTAS's Act 2. Beyond that, my plan is to write some side stories that go into Wis's Lore(tm), namely her origins as an Old World clone and her interactions with other Wis clones around the Alliance.

Why side stories? Well, a) any plot involving Wis as a clone is relatively spread out across the timeline of MTAS's story, since it's actually not that closely tied to her "main" storyline (being the first clone I made when the clone story was just kind of just a bullet point on their lore descriptions, it's less involved), b) it therefore doesn't really affect the story of how she and Qi get together, and c) I know that people might be far more interested in just the romance story with Qi (which is totally okay! I understand, I'm pretty much in the same camp with OC-centric stories a lot :P)

As for the equivalent of MTAS's Act 3, this won't be one cohesive fic, but a small series of smaller stories, since I don't really have too many ideas for a fully fleshed out telling of Act 3 that doesn't just walk through the main missions without much deviating from that. Some of those stories include:

A series of conversations between Qi and Miguel post Act 2

A Nia/Mi-an story

A silly little oneshot of Qi and Rosie interacting (tentative)

The original idea that Strangeness and Charm sprouted from; Wis and Qi conducting a methodical study on non-sexual intimacy (tentative)

The finale of the MTAS main story

A Builder, a Researcher, and a Rooftop

Currently on pause. For now, there's just too much OC brainrot for fics and on OTAS that I just need to get out. Don't worry! I'm absolutely not abandoning this one. I just can only really focus on one big project at a time lol. We're close to the end of this story's act 2, though not much of the remainder is written. In fact, chapter 34 is already done, but not chapter 33, so I can't quite post it yet. I think after I get the first part of E&S done (or I suppose whenever I feel like picking it up), I'll switch gears to at least get to the end of Act 2. Act 3 will need some reevaluation...I've hemmed and hawed over it forever, but I do want to finalize the plot for that one, and also potentially get started on that as well.

Others

To the...5 people that read my Grace/Wis miniseries, I really do still want to get that done a;sdlasdralsdrkj It's been hard since my thoughts on how Grace and Wis interact after Act 2 have changed a lot. But even so, I hate to leave it hanging there, so I've started working on it again. It's already outlined, I just need to get it filled in.

Someday I should come back to Quiet Moments in Sandrock... My art's gotten a ton better since then and there's a few ideas I still have leftover that I never got to. Unfortunately I need to make room for it somewhere in the 13438525 other art ideas I have that I can only do like 1 per week at MOST asdlrkasdasdrjksdrj

Sitting on the back burner forever in my writing folder is a fusion of Junji Ito's Uzumaki and MTAS... An MTAS version of Uzumaki's story works SURPRISINGLY well, and Wis and Qi I think make for stronger protagonists in this setting than Kirie and Shuichi in theirs if I do say so myself lol. It's fully outlined and everything, but that's gonna forever be on the back burner until either my longfics get done or I figure out how to write horror, whichever comes first 😂

how do you go about plotting your stories? :P

i always say that i’m a bit of a chaotic planner! i mention it a lot, but i have severely bad adhd, so things with me are a bit of organized chaos (except with the zine, i run that shit like the fucking marines man).

so basically since it starts off chaotic, i tend to kind of brain dump all my ideas into my doc (i use notion for planning), so like all the potential plot points scene ideas i may want, and then i tend to order them in a way that makes sense chronologically!

for one shots, i’ll be a bit more detailed bc i don’t do a lot of extra planning outside of my outline since it’s ONLY the one shot, but sometimes it’s even as simple as this! (from the wedding planner x baker au)

it’s not very eloquently written bc it’s just for me, so i don’t waste time making sure it’s in full sentences lol, it’s like me talking to myself! so i just write a bit chaotic lol but it’s what i find works for me, and im able to fill in the gaps! and here’s another example LOL (a spoiler sorta from the cowboy x model au!) like i said, they’re severely unserious, but it’s what works for me!! but this is how i do my one shot ones, just bc i outline them in their entirety and im not writing full length sentences i don’t have fucking time for that with my minimal attention span having ass 😭

BUT! for the e2l au and the bodyguard au!! i definitely did a lot more planning which is why it’s taken me so much longer to put them out 😭 with dol, which i’ve emphasized MANY times, i wrote it for shits and giggles and so i was like oh! like i should’ve been a bit more organized, which for the most part i’ve done PRETTY well, considering i wasn’t initially but i definitely wanted to be more prepared with these two!!

so for both of the fics, i have them set up like this! there’s three little sections and i can kinda explain how i organized each one!

outline: that’s the overall fic outline, i basically started it how i mentioned above, i brain dumped all my ideas and then made it into a mostly cohesive chronological order! for multi chapter fics tho i get rlly overwhelmed tho if i super intensely outline bc sometimes i change my mind, so i have a MOSTLY SOLID idea of the overall plot give or take some minor decisions (which is why the whole first kiss thing in the bodyguard au i said i wasn’t 100% sure on yet bc i could still change my mind lol). so i outline chapter by chapter going based off the overall big outline, and choosing from the scenes i wanted to do, and maybe any ideas y’all suggest too! so like some things ARE subject to change, but like for sure most things (like in dol the whole fire thing) i ALWAYS know would happen

details: for both fics, to make sure i kept the characterizations consistent, i wrote down everything about eren and mikasa and their character goals and traits for both au’s! and then specifically for the e2l au, i wrote out their feelings and thoughts about the breakup and how they both thought about one another as to make sure i kept those consistent!!! when writing mc fics it’s really easy to kind of stray away from characterization (at least for me bc i write a bunch of stuff at once) so i wanted to make sure i had something to refer to if i ever needed to!!

extras: bc i realized i enjoyed having quotes/chapter titles, i basically pre chose all of those just to save myself some time later on bc im indecisive as fuck lol so if was to help future me

basically i think everyone has a super different process!! i love hearing about all my writer moots writing processes bc we’re all really different! some of my moots have very detailed processes which i admire, bc im not like that at all, but i’ve found this works for me and the way my brain works! it’s a mix of organization but not in a way that stresses me out or overwhelms me!

but also sometimes like the cabin fic i’ll just say to hell with it write a fic on a whim and not plan for shit except knowing i wanna write those five individual scenes so im nothing if not a mess also, but yea sorry for talking your ear off, i always say being concise is not something i can ever do LOL i hope this answers your question tho!! 😭

pls ramble about something that isn't mentioned often enough in one of your interests

[slams hands down onto table] had to think a bit about this one (apologise for the delay) but buckle up; Imma go on a bit of a Warrior Cats rant because THE SECOND HALF OF THE NEW PROPECHY WAS NOT PLANNED. IT WAS ONLY GONNA BE A TRILOGY OF BOOKS AFTER THE OG SERIES WAS PUBLISHED AND THEN SALES OF THE FIRST SERIES EXPLODED SO HARPERCOLLINS COMMISSIONED ANOTHER SIX-BOOK SERIES.

This is something that's incredibly fascinating to me because I'm one of those readers who's of the opinion that the first six-book series is peak Warrior Cats and then it's all downhill from there (even if there's obviously stuff to enjoy in every series that's been written since!) - but those first three books of The New Prophecy (the second six-book series published) are some of my faves. They might not be as strong in terms of overarching plot, but there are some fantastic character dynamics and it feels like a very compelling continuation of the original series. But then, once they get to the lake and the second half of the new series begins, things just get,,, rough. Some of the character decisions are wild, the romance dynamics implemented at this point in the series remain controversial in the fandom to this day, and there's a lot more jank to be noticed in that plot (honestly, each book kinda has its own separate little plotline - there are lingering threats that still culminate at the end, but I'd argue it doesn't have the same cohesion of the first series). And that's because those latter three books were comparatively way unplanned! Initially, The New Prophecy was a trilogy that served as a next-generation/epilogue followup to the original series, and then it ended up getting stretched into a whole new series. As someone who never much enjoyed the back end of TNP (aside from the Hawkfrost-Brambleclaw confrontation in Dawn, because that shit slaps), it honestly felt kinda vindicating to find out years down the line that there was a meta reason why the vibe felt so different. xDD

In any case, the fact that these books weren't planned for in the way that their immediate predecessors were is something that I haven't really seen discussed in the fandom (not that I'm SUPER plugged into the fandom - maybe I just missed it? :P) which just strikes me as odd because it accounts for so many of the wacky shenanigans we're still discussing all this time down the line xD

(Also this is only tangentially related but me and a friend workshopped how we'd rewrite the series from the second half of TNP onwards and BOY HOWDY is there a lot of stuff that we had cool ideas for. I really wish that the authors had had those ideas instead, yaknow? :P)

Anyways! That's my ramble. I really wish more people in fandom looked at the meta and context of their fave series sometimes, lmao

PAPRIKA

An absolute masterclass of film and animation. It's so sad Satoshi Kon had to leave us so soon, he really was the one of the best to ever do it. This was a wonderful last film for him to have released. Paprika is one of my favorite animated movies. It just has so much to offer in every way.

Satoshi Kon had a fascination with dreams, the subconscious, and imagination which you can see very clearly in both this movie and Perfect Blue. This is true for his previous and planned works as well. He nails this feeling of dreaming or daydreaming so well its mind-boggling. Everything in Paprika is so loose and free-form, but feels cohesive at the same time. It also differs a lot from the manga from what I've heard. The manga is a lot more heavy on the crime drama side apparently. I might check it out and see if that's true, since the idea of someone entering peoples' subconsciousness through the world of dreams to find a thief is really cool.

The soundtrack is also phenomenal. It's done by one of my favorite artists, Susumu Hirasawa of P-Model fame (and regular fame he's amazing).

I think you have to approach Paprika in a different way than you would for other movies. Paprika has a very loose plot and is a lot more like having to analyze an actual dream rather than a film. The plot is purposefully obfuscated but I think that's a good thing. It's like how Pulp Fiction doesn't make sense linearly or how Rashomon is told from various perspectives. This is just another example of how Kon tells stories through the subconscious of the characters rather than physically and linearly.

My time with Pathfinder: Kingmaker (P.2)

Heavy spoilers for Pathfinder: Kingmaker below, didn't initially plan on this being a three-part post so apologies for that and any cohesion breaking it causes. My Companions. This'll be a brief overview of the companions and just any general thoughts I had on them and their quests prior to Act Seven, if it seems somewhat disconnected it's because it is.  (The benchwarmers) Starting with Tristian I was never sold on him even before his betrayal. I knew he was beloved among other players but I wasn't interested in romancing him and even with his super useful rest ability both Linzi and my player character largely dealt with any serious buffing or healing I needed. So when it came to his quests? It'd be something I have to revisit as his two stand-out moments are his betrayal and his argument with Jhod during the Bloom. 

On the opposite end of characters, Jaethal was easily the most evil companion, and for someone whose alignment didn't really mesh with my player character on top of her undead status and strangeness when being healed, it largely led me to dismiss her altogether. When in reality her quests were really fascinating, this pull and push of power versus morals with the penultimate build-up being Jaethals rejection of her Deity and being smited for it. When she died it wasn’t a huge blow to my team, but it was shocking with the click of a button she went from standing there to being a stain of blood and at least she redeemed herself? I don’t know if I’ll use Jaethal unless I’m going for some sort of evil playthrough but alignment be damned she was entertaining. 

Moving on, Harrim fell into this odd spot as a companion for me, originally he filled my fifth spot as his blessing buff was useful alongside being another front-line fighter, but the way I specialized him became a significant problem, I’d made him into more of a fighter then a cleric on top of his low Mobility/Dexterity making him quick to die even when buffed to all hell with Blur or other support spells. Making replacing him with Ekundayo an obvious choice, and like his character class I think I largely fumbled whatever story was going on with him. Unintentionally inciting his rage against Torag and leading him down a path of bitter madness, I always felt like I slipped up somewhere along the way, really just unsure of what I should say to someone so entrenched in Groetus. This is more just a gripe but I swear for a high priest even when he was max level he’d always have a low-resolution rate, frankly I don’t know if I ever really want to deal with Harrim again for someone you meet so early on I’m just not a fan of him? The end comes for us all eventually I guess. 

Then we have Nok-Nok, another character who I think I kind of put on ice and shot down a lot of his companion quest ideas just because it was chaotic as all and went against my alignment. Unlike Harrim though Nok-Nok was very fun, and even when he was making problems for me, who can hate a Goblin Jester? He’s someone I definitely plan to use if I ever replay Kingmaker. 

Then we have Jubliost, someone I wasn’t a huge fan of at first, from his snarky attitude to his less than careful world choice his bluntness read almost like a bitter or rude person when in fact by digging into his quests that isn’t true. From his endearing curiosity and motivation to cure the bleaching (a rather debilitating and sad way to go out) while exploring and writing about all he can. When he got so close to his award, I encouraged him to give it to Xae. It only felt right, as her existence as a ghost who could never return to her home was far too sad a fate for someone. I never really used him, on account of me not liking AOE/splash attacks until late in the game alongside not specializing him correctly.

Regongar is the last of the benchwarmers, and he’s kind of tied to the hip with Octavia for a lot of his quests. He's brash but beyond being a tad too flirtatious I never had much problem or desire to get to know him. Hearing about his and Octavia’s roots that’d led them to eventually escape the Technic League and blossom into their independence is what I admire most about him. 

(The main cast) Speaking of Octavia, like Regongar I’m happy she found her roots and was surprisingly able to reconnect with no strings attached, her abilities as a rogue-wizard mix made her into a really good marksman. Ended up probably agreeing with her and Linzi the most on kingdom management issues just because of how progressive they both were on social issues. 

Ekundayo and his wolf are second to Amiri in terms of how useful they were to my team, often nailing his ranger shots for high damage and destroying trolls. Moving on from the past and not letting rage consume yourself is the central idea of Ekundayo’s companion quest and while I wonder if things could’ve been different at the very least he isn’t vengeful or hateful any longer. Elina’s extremely obvious crush on the guy who clearly isn’t ready for romance makes me both sad and hopeful for Ekundayo’s future. Not forgetting Ekundayo’s wolf, half the reason he’s so good is because that wolf of his is the best of tanks and like Elina, Ekundayo has no clue what to do with them. 

Moving onto Amiri, her reconciliation of the past and focus on bettering herself for the future just made her an instant favorite and probably the strongest member of my crew constantly receiving some of the best gear. Her brash and upfront nature makes this really sincere and helpful character that I can’t underpin as anything but great. She isn’t stupid and breaks that idea of a barbarian being an inherent moron with the reforging of her blade as a story of complicated emotions and feelings in a largely sexist traditional group. When said group tries to execute her for being different, the one positive person in her tribe Nilak is a reluctant friend and compatriot. A lot of emotional baggage and tension reveals itself when Amiri first finds the Six Bears tribe in the Stolen Lands and a lot of that tension is only resolved because Amiri cares about Nilak and regardless of how poorly they treated her the ghost tormenting the clan because of her cannot stand in her mind. So, off she goes to confront it ultimately sacrificing herself instead of someone else being resurrected and being awarded for her bravery. Frankly, I doubt there’ll be a campaign of this game without Amiri if I can help it; her companion line is hands down my favorite of the companions. 

Last but not least Valerie, in a strange way, ended up being my favorite companion. With her high AC and tank-like nature always having enemies target and fail to strike her as they ate the party's damage and while her attack strength wasn’t the best if anyone was suited for the job of rushing ahead it was her. Her stoic nature as a fighter and diligent follower of the law is in constant conflict with her proclaimed beauty and past as a child raised to worship Shelyn. It’s a past she wished to not look back on, wanting people to value her as a fighter and person first and foremost not as some artistic piece or muse. It’s upsetting for her when her past demands she returns to face worshippers of Shelyn and artists harassing her because of her beauty. So much so, that when Linzi and others who merely mention art seem to offend and enrage her, intervention is the only thing that can be done. Early on in the game she received a scar after beating a certain obnoxious Shelyn follower in a fight and wore it as a symbol of pride until that pride for said scar turned into a confused mix of resentment and reflection. I think by the end of the companion quest line Valerie ended up better off, Shelyn healing her scar, and the intervention of the Shelyn followers ending as peaceful as one could expect. Valerie seems to find herself and at least find some respect in the pursuit of art. It’s hard to put into words what Valerie’s conclusion as a character was, it’s a complex emotional issue that she struggled with throughout Kingmaker, and it made her a stronger person in the end. [ SWAGGER COLLAGE TUTORIAL OR SMTH ]

Woaaaaaaah we got a special one today folks-

My dear buddy chum pal broski bestie asked me to teach it how i do my collage-y lookin art, and i figured i might as well make it available to anyone else who wants to know B]

Quick disclaimer: im not the best at explaining stuff, and also am not a professional or anything!! Listen to me or dont, these are all merely what i do when i make this kind of stuff-

Oh, and ill post the full spread im making here separately for anyone whos interested in that rather than this guide thingy :P

Since i usually like making more cohesive spreads with a certain theme or subject, i like doodling potential drawings i could use in the spread before starting!! This is very much optional, but helps a bit in case youre worried about having no ideas when you go straight into drawing. You can even plan out where youre gonna put different drawings on the page if ya want!! :]

After that, i rummage through my Trash Box for trash that matches my vision for the spread,, if ya catch my drift B]

For this one, since im making matching spreads for disposable girl and irreverent girl (weevildoing swag yknow yknow), i picked out some hot topic tags and stuff, a few tags from clothes that looked fitting, and a pretty bit of a pokemon tcg deck box i saved!! I mostly just went off of vibes and colors this time, but you can go off of whatever feels right when youre picking collage stuff -v-

Oh, and if you plan on trying out a lot of collage stuff, COLLECT SO MUCH TRASH. Find a bag, a box, anything to hold some fun looking wrappers and junk you could use. Be sure to clean anything used to hold food though, ants dont make good collage bits,, usually,,,

Now, the natural next step: gluing that junk on!! Generally its good to have some sort of pattern for how you glue your base collage bits down, like sticking to certain parts of the paper, or making a shape, using a color sequence,, though just slapping stuff on until it works for you also goes pretty well in the end if youre into spontaneity! Just trust the process and go with the flow and all that-

Oh yeah, and collage includes more than junk yknow!! You can use different kinds of paper, stationary like sticky notes and stuff, anything to add some variety in texture BP

Now for the fun bit!! Well, i find all the steps pretty fun, but the drawing part is probably the most fun for you lovely readers ;]

Not much to say here, just do whatever youd do with a typical drawing/page! I recommend trying to fill most/all of the spaces you left blank (if any) when gluing stuff down. Working around all the collage may serve as a challenge, but its not tooooo annoying once youve gotten a feel for it. You can also add some more collage here if you want -v-

Finally, the second best part (in my humble opinion): the stickers!! I usually do this last, but the order probably doesnt matter? Just kinda,, put stickers on wherever!! Try layering them, or covering doodles with them, or making new pictures with them, go CRAZY WITH STICKERS!! You can also use some paint pens or gel pens to add a little pizazz,,

Once youve bedazzled to your heart’s content, you can add any other details and finishing touches you deem necessary, and v o i l a, youve got a collage!!

Dont worry too much about things looking “right”! Ive found that art is a ton more fun when im not stressing out over how clean my work looks, its all about having fun and expressing yourself!! If something looks a bit wonky, or you think you glued something in a weird spot but cant change it, keep rollin with it! With collage in this style, mistakes are kinda part of the experience, so dont worry yourself too much if things dont go as planned

Idk...I'm running out of ideas and it's only my 2nd day being here.��First year. Been awhile (+11 years)

Have:

-HD Camcorder(Vlogging, duh!)Phone and or Z981.  Smartphone, DSLR(ish), DJI Pocket 2

-iPad(It looks awesome!)Almost never. Accomplished a year after, and in 2022 (M1 iPad Air -> M1 iPad Pro)

-Macbook(Pro)(same reason as iPad)Same reason as iPad. Acquired in college (15” Retina) Still uses the laptop, but lightly or while on the go. Good powerhouse for more than 7 years.

-DSLR(or even a good P&S)Z981, still need a DSLR. Acquired, but not heavily used. Maybe will invest in a mirrorless camera one day.

-Adobe Creative Suite. I have my ways to get it hehe.

-iMac(as a substitute for Macbook) Nah, I have a gaming desktop

-Flat-Screen TV (no more than 40". This will be in my room) I still lowkey want a TV... but 3 27″ monitors can do for now. 

-Xbox 360 w/Kinect(Dance Central...nuff said) Wow, so obsolete. I don’t know if I still want a console outside of my Switch.

-More Wii games(its getting there) I have a Switch…man 2 generations later.

-PS3?(blu-ray and other things...NOT adding my debit card number in there however) I don’t remember the card fiasco Sony had, but I very low-key want a PS5.

-Cash( I finally gone broke...oh joy) I make money now. Wish I can tell 17 year old self you found a job and a career and it’s NOT Civil Engineering. (APPRENTLY I DID IN COOLEG)

-Headphones(Bose, Beats, Skullcandys(t'wards some extent), any of those would work. I own WAY too many earphones but not enough headphones. Sony WH/WF X-1000M4 baybeeeeeee

-Spare Computer (perhaps a desktop computer). It would be either a great back up computer when this laptop goes awry, or use it as a main machine. This laptop I'm using is getting old... I have too many PCs and latptops lol, halp

-Successfully vlog.I fail at this. I semi-fail at this. My channel is getting there.

-Record something in the outside world without being afraid...I fail at this as well. Still a bit uncomfortable, but I can do it!

-Be a railfan!(me going to take pics on trains)I'm getting there... Done it back in college. Now I just want to watch trains from time to time.

-Ride the commuter lines around here in Nor Cal (never ever ridden on a commuter train(Amtrak doesn't count))Don't have the money or parents refuse...(Never ever is redundant. It's just never) Ackshually, Amtrak does count lol. But I have performed this. And well…. Amtrak > Commuter Trains, but Commuter Trains have their place for bringing commuters to places.

-Be an expert on Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, when I have the programs that is...  Not an expert, but I know how to use PS. I have lost passion for InDesign and Illustrator though

-Blog/Vlog more. I find it fascinating, though I found it fascinating ever since I had Twitter back in 2009. Check my channel, I have been doing this shit. And Twitter…and maybe that old new thing called Instagram. Didn’t get into Vine, or TikTok though.

-Tech Reviews. I have videos, never had the chance to post it on YouTube. I has slow upload speeds here at home. Check my channel. I have done a few, but I am not that great. I do have to plan out scripts so I can provide a cohesive review. Also, you managed to get gigabit internet after moving out (yes you did move out).

-Skits. Produce Videos with either friends or cousins. Skits will make us famous...and hope its not impromptu.  Less skits, more gameplay and group play. Check channel

-Practice more on Photography. Close but no cigar.  I’m surprisingly decent with both  a smartphone camera (technology has improved a lot in the past 11 years) and a DSLR. I have learned the ways of at least taking a decent photo compared to others, that’s for sure.

The rays of the morning sun gently shine through the curtains of your shared bedroom, the alarm clock next to your bed indicating it's nearly 7:00 am. Last night was one of your weekly date nights, usually consisting of cooking dinner together and watching your favourite movies or tv-shows together while you talk to each other about your week.

Gonta's laying on this back, bare chested with just his boxers on and your soft white bed sheets covering his lower half. He had just woken up, grunting softly as he stretches his arms. He groggily rubs his eyes and turns on his side, now being met with you peacefully sleeping next to him.

He's usually the one to wake up first, and he loves to start his morning off by making breakfast for you and bringing it to you while you're still laying in bed. He'll get in bed and nuzzle next to you as you eat your breakfast, talking about your plans for the day.

Not this morning, though.

Ever since you've been together, Gonta has felt a weird feeling build up inside him. He's aware of what these feelings are, but he's scared that it might ruin things for the two of you. He's very attracted to you and loves you very much, so against his better judgement, he hides this part of himself for the sake of your relationship. He's never told you about it, but unbeknownst to him, you've noticed something is holding him back, and you have a pretty good idea of what it might be.

Hoping it would make your boyfriend finally act on his urges, you decided to tease him. A LOT. You started being more suggestive in certain conversations, or you'd try to seduce him by suddenly sitting on his lap or whispering things into his ear. You could see the internal struggle Gonta was having with himself. All he could think about in those moments was just absolutely destroying you and filling you with his seed. He was content with the vanilla-y sex you two had, sure, but it always took a lot for him to hold himself back and not absolutely ravage you, and he wouldn't be sure what would happen once he'd let himself go.

You decided to wear some... suggestive clothing to bed, in the hopes of making him want to do things to you. And it worked. Gonta slowly moved closer towards you and gently caressed your sides. His face was flushed red, feeling a tent already forming inside his tight boxers.

God, he loved how you looked in that. The color of your silk sleepwear complimented your skintone beautifully and the sheer lace left little to the imagination. He wrapped his big arms around you and gently pulled you against him, his hard-on poking against your butt.

Feeling something poke against you and the weight of his arms around your waist, you slowly opened your eyes. You let out a soft yawn and teasingly rubbed your body even closer against his. "Good morning, baby."

Without saying a word, Gonta held you even tighter as he started planting sloppy little kisses along your neck and shoulders, sending shivers down your spine. You could tell he was at the verge of breaking, and that all that was on his mind right now was fucking you senseless. His breath against your skin made your body weak, feeling your nipples harden by the sensation of his bulge right against your entrance.

"S-S/o... Gonta apologize... H-He not contain himself any longer," he mumbles, his tone noticably lower than how he usually talks. You feel your face burning up, reaching up to gently caress his face. "It's okay baby... I don't mind," you whisper, grabbing his hand that was resting on your sides and guiding it up towards your chest.

You hear him gasp softly, even feeling his bulge twitch slightly by the sudden sensation of his large hands on your chest. Gonta immediately gets up and turns you around in one swift motion, now hovering above you as you're facing him directly. Your flushed faces finally meet each other, and you can see a look of lust and desperation in his red eyes.

"H-Honey... G-Gonta want to tell you something," he starts, clearly ashamed about bringing this topic up. You look into his eyes and nod in anticipation. "Gonta... Want to make you his, forever. He... Want to mate with you."

Your face flushes bright red and you place your hands on his face, bringing him in for a passionate, lustful kiss. "I know... Go ahead baby, make me yours," you whisper into his ear, wrapping your legs around his waist.

Like the flick of a lightswitch, something snapped inside him and the last ounce of hesitation disappeared from his mind. 2021 Reading for BTS and the collective!!

Oki. I first want to say that this I gonna be long lol. I did a meditation and gathered some little pieces of things y'all might need to hear and then I pulled cards for every month. The fountain tarot deck is the cards for us, the collective, and the rider-waite cards are for bts. It'll make more sense when I add picks and stuff. I did a little extra card pull for yoongi for the month of May too :) I'll make sure to type out all the cards in text so you know what they are (the pics are kinda wack.) I also used my pendulum to ask if there was a bts related event for every month and that's at the bottom. It's just to take in the possible energy for the month and something that could result from that energy!

Continuing with dates. In the last this 21 and January 21 came up. It came up again but with 2 messages. So first, either 21st is a day where something is put into motion (possibly private or public) or announced and the second was "add them together dumbass" that's not very kind but 3. Again this has been discussed too but but but... maybe a signal of a third mixtape 👀 (not necessarily on the 21st per say but possibly in March? I'm really not sure).

Oki. I got side tracked like I always do and started thinking about tattoos and stuff and I really want koo to have a peony tattoo. I feel it in my BONES. It would suit him so well. and as I was thinking about tattoos I heard, "don't be surprised if yoongi gets/shows a tattoo this year" ??? What the fuck? I think maybe they messing with me but now I have hopes and I don't want them to be crushed and thrown to the wind :(

Back to normal stuff, "the theme is growth" I think that fits very well with the reading. "Blue might be a lucky color" self explanatory. It might be lucky. "Start practicing grounding and centering" this was LOUD. This will help you in how you react to events in the future. Really do practice this if you haven't.

Theres so so so so so so so so so much about this and how it applies to things that I could probably write you 10+ dictionaries worth of material but for the sake of simplicity and not wanting to write a novel right now, I will continue. The main lesson is to start challenging your perception of the world around you. Ask why and why and why and why. Essentially seeing cracks in the matrix. Pulling your head out of your cosmic ass, realizing that rose you're smelling is actually daffodil ect. It's not supposed to bring you fear but just kinda encouraging you to question all the things that you perceive as given truths.

Hmm. Ngl I was a little confused to see the empress and the sun for January... I mean it hasn't been great. So I pulled clarity card 7 of swords. The 7 of swords is all about betrayal. It's about the deception and and actively getting away with things. This is people lying, cheating, sneaking and the works.

This makes much more sense!! The Sun card is usually about joy and success and happiness but in this case I see it as illuminating the betrayal. It's shining light on the deception and keeps the spotlight there. Its also an energetic card so I think that shows passion for uncovering the truth.

With the empress card too I think January is all about getting creative in all forms. Creative ways to protest, to mourn, to celebrate, to connect. Also taking in the abundance that we DO have. The beauty that surrounds us. I like to think of aphrodite energy for this. Its not just love and passion and creativity but is also asserting yourself and having strong passion for what you love and fighting for it. Did you know aphrodite was also called upon in ancient Greece in times of war? She was honored as a goddess of war but still a goddess of love, the sea, fertility ect. What I'm trying to say is that being a creative and "feminine" energy is in no way weak. Sometimes the most powerful things come from this energy. Love aggressively with good intentions. The point is that you should take whatever you're feeling and translate it into something creative or something you care about. The fact that covid is still a thing really sucks but take any rage, hurt, sadness, joy, love whatever and use that shit to make something amazing. Bake bread and punch the fuck out of it, paint your frustration, play hopscotch in higheels while you listen to heavy metal. You get the point.

This card can be a lot of things for them. I think this points to more maturity in their music? Like they've finally ditched the "shiny kpop boy band" label and are being taken seriously in the west. I also think that they're going through a musical/concept transformation~ I think it also signified the change in plans bc of the Grammys perhaps they had things planned an that fell through so they were forced to rapidly change plan/course.

The 8 of pentacles reverse talks a lot about self improvement. Doing that good good inner work and self care. Working on developing parts of you that you've maybe neglected. It's also learning how to work with how you are instead of wishing you weren't the way you are. If you have a therapist its a great time to maybe ask for any extra tips that you can practice daily to help you even more. Maybe exploring more into insecurities relating to finance or jobs or your passions. If you don't have a therapist but you have the means to get one I always highly recommend. You don't have to have "problems" to see a therapist. Everyone could use a non biased point of view that is literally trained to help you be you best self. If you can't get therapy, I get it. Shits tough rn but there's still things we can do to better ourselves like Journaling and reading therapy blogs or self help books (not the taky shit) or trying a hobby you fell out of touch with. There's also a lot of places where you can get therapy promise on the internet. Most importantly, better yourself in the way that you need. Take time in February to take notice of what you want to improve upon. The 8 of coins reversed does come with the warning not to get stuck in perfectionism. Go easy on yourself and if you find yourself getting frustrated when working on projects, try to take a step back and practice whatever it is in a fun way and then come back to it later

Well... let's start with the 6 of pentacles reverse. This can really talk about being so generous and giving to everyone else that you forget about yourself. I think that maybe they might be over exerting themselves and giving so much that they're exhausted physically and emotionally as well. I think too, they take on so much of our pain like its their own? Idk but this would be a good time to do a large scale fan project to show them a little extra love!

With the hermit card it talks about a self introspection so they could be looking inward as a team and kinda evaluating their bond.

I also see this as maybe being alone as in they maybe can't physically go to the grammys? Or maybe they had been planning the rescheduled concerts and they had to be pushed back even further? Mhmm. This one kinda gives me vibes that they'll be mentoring people? Idk but I see them more as the heirophant teaching what they've learned/ know to help guide others. HOWEVER this could also be them taking a new task under their belt. Learning something new. Since this is as a group reading I assume that this talks about the group as a whole. This card is also very tradition oriented so maybe they are taking lessons that are connected to traditional Korean culture? Maybe its for RUN or maybe its to incorporate into music and preformance. Think bts mma preformance but all of them learning together? Idk, it's just a thought (maybe wishful thinking). It also talks about seeking counseling so maybe they'll do yoongis idea from the most recent RUN.

Five of cups is disappointment, regret and self pity. Now honestly this to me looks like possibly a tightening of restrictions yet again. Regardless of the situation that this is talking about, the best thing you can do is not wallow in the bullshit. You scrape yourself off the pavement and move foward. You'll need forgiveness of yourself and others and that if shit isn't going your way, you need to pull your head out of your ass and look around bc there's options out there. Maybe we'll see bon voyage type thing? Idk. But it could be something kinda out of the spotlight? Maybe something more healing?

Well let's see. 5 of pentacles talks about isolation and a negative mindset. This talks about falling on hard times but its a temporary set back. This energy can be talking about falling on hard times emotionally as well. In the card it shows a woman outside of a church shivering and cold but she's too busy thinking about all that she's lost that she doesn't notice the warm church that she could step into for shelter.

But then with he wheel of fortune that talks about fate/destiny, opportunity and luck so maybe this is a necessary loss so that a new door can open. This does kinda tie in with July as well. The end of something is painful but it's often a necessary thing. Might be a bit uncomfy but that's how things change. Again I see this maybe hinting more towards society but none the less it's definitely a theme for August to have doors closing and new ones opening so be on the lookout for that.

Now don't fret. The devil talks a lot about choice. Most notably the choice between instant gratification and and something more substantial and the devil leans towards indulgence. It also has a lot to do with the shadow side. This could talk about ~scandal~ sure, but I think its more of a time where you become aware of negative patterns and you shine a light on that part you've ignored. I also REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that this card points to this: sexuality. The 10 of wands reversed talks about carrying burden. Doing extra work and taking on more responsibility. Doing everything by yourself and carrying this heavy load alone will get you burnt out quicker than anything. You might be taking on too much and you'll need to prioritize what you really need to focus on. I also think there will just be a lot happening in September for a lot of people. It's a lot of working hard because you know it's good work or because it's what's right. This could be social responsibility that's placed on you or work responsibility. For whatever reason this burden isn't something you want to share with others because you think its yours alone to deal with. This energy is really really abundant in the career space as well. So October could be very prosperous in the job field and you'll have likely found what it is you really want and could be successful at. This could be the actual act or just the idea. This is could also talk about investing in something for your future, this could be time or money.

With the star reversed it can talk about a loss of faith and a disconnection. This often points to feeling like you've just been forgotten or left out. This signals the end of difficult times and getting that groove back. The last month was restless energy with no where to go but this month that energy is certainly put to good use. The thing you have to keep in mind is just how amazing this is in terms of what it will do. It will alow growth!! And bring clarity!! Thos can also be societal as well, something being left behind in favor of something new. It's letting go and reflecting so that you can move foward.

This is strengthened by the moon card. The moon card is the subconscious and all the things that come with it. The anxiety, the illusion, the uncertainty. You'll want to deal with whatever emotions come up. The moon can signify a confusing time where things aren't what they seem to be. That's the illusions so you'll have rely more on intuition at a time like this. Your dreams might hold significance in this time as well. Listen to your guides and your own guidance because it will help you understand more than you did before this journey began. Using moon cycles to your advantage in November might really help you!!

Challenge and competition. People are envious of bts. We know this. But people will be challenging them for what they've gained: music industry domination. This might co.e in the way that people will spread vicious rumors in attempt to disenfanchise or possibly it will be a fair fight. It could also be a challenge/ battle for some other aspect that involves legal matters.

My best guess though is good old competition. Bts has proven again and again that they will continue to do what they do how they do but they will not be trampled over. In the best way this could renew some of that spirit in friendly competition. They will tear eachothers throats out for a pack of ramen so maybe a bit of competition will be good for them. It keeps life intresting.

Two of cups and the emperor!

Let's start off with the emperor card talks about stability and order. It can also signify being the "breadwinner" so its a good sign that you'll kinda be on top of your shit. The emperor is also an amazing leader so you might find yourself taking on a leadership role too! This is very organized energy that works very smoothly!

two of cups is such a lovely way to end out the year! It's love and partnership and attraction so if you aren't in a relationship by this time you might meet someone who strikes your fancy!! On a none romantic relationship note though, this card is also great for business partnership bc it signifies that you're on the same page and have the same goals in mind!

It's harmonious relationships and trust between them!! Love love love this energy so much! Cups are the suit of emotions and this card is so promising.

If you are in a relationship, this can talk about "falling in love all over again" like you're just reminded of how good they are.

Queen of cups

Intuition, creativity and emotional stability. They're using intuition to guide their moves foward with emotional maturity. They are in a place of knowing what they want and why. This would be a good time to work on an album or a book or to release them. The queen of cups is like the friend that you can tell absolutely anything and somehow they have a helpful answer. This card is really calm and it can also talk about subconscious thoughts.

I think that bts is maybe making more of a conscious effort to make sure that what they do is just as emotionally fulfilling for them as it is for us! They might be kinda pondering the future at this time and considering if this is what fills their emotional cup!

The 3 of swords is about disappointment and hurt and heartbreak. It's about the emotional release that we all need when shit gets tough. Don't pretend to be strong. If you need to cry, fucking cry. This year is about letting go of expectations and do what you have to do to release so you can move foward and not have these things pile up.

You have to make an effort to not let yourself take on what other people think of you. You aren't defined by what some asshole says. You define yourself.

Judgment reverse is about self doubt and ignoring your path. It's being stagnant and being harsh on yourself. This year has a focus on building yourself up and noticing when you are not. Bring light to the things that are holding you back without harsh judgment for yourself. You can't beat yourself up. If you make a bad decision you know not to make it again. Take accountability and move on.

The oracle card is inner temple.

Seriously all the focus of this year is in self improvement and dear god, please take time to work on yourself spiritually!!! Everything you want to know is there if you take the time to listen. This should be a place where you feel safe and welcome. It definitely should not feel like something you HAVE to do.

The 10 of swords is a painful but necessary end. This is accepting the current situation. They maintain focus for 2021 for them is adapting and keeping their spirits up.

With the page of swords it talks about new ideas and that kind of creativity. It's also a lot about communication so I really think that they'll be figuring out new ways to connect and new projects that will be prosperous.

This is what we talk about all the time. Bts has helped so many people want to be better and do better. They are uplifting humanity and giving people a sense if belonging. Bts finds you when you need them most 💜💜💜

how many books are too many books in a series ? i'm honestly pretty tolerant for long book series, i love seeing a world develop over lots of books - started the bone season series recently which has 4 books so far and is slated to have seven, it's going to be a bitch waiting but at the same time there is something so thrilling about having this sort of returning event year after year (i grew up with the HP books so that really marked me i guess). that said i think that only really works when the authors have solid plans because when an author gets stuck and you have to wait ten years for the next one that really sucks (lol GoT). and i think beyond 7-8 it's definitely getting excessive.

how do you feel about cliffhangers ? hmmm...depends if they're well done or if they feel like shock value. i think every book needs to feel like a cohesive unit and some cliffhangers happen too soon, without enough resolution - that said, i love it when books open up a new (but related) mystery in the last few lines

hardback or paperback ? i used to buy paperbacks only but over time those really get damaged super easily (i've moved a lot) and it feels like a waste of space and paper. so now i'm doing this thing where i mostly buy ebooks and whenever i really like a book and want it in my permanent library - or when a new book is coming out that i know i am going to love - i buy hardbacks ; at least when the covers are aesthetically satisfying. i just really love the idea of starting to build my 'forever library'

least favorite book ? it's tied between Manon Lescaut, which i was forced to read in high school and is the most irritating story ever about an old timey dude falling in 'love' with a prostitute and blaming her for it and everything else that goes wrong in his life until she dies and he can 'be free' ; and The Windup Girl by Paolo Bacigalupi which made me so uncomfortable i had to stop like one third of the way in and is a torture p*rn, fetishistic, racist mess about a Japanese cyborg girl who gets exploited and abused by everyone she meets. It's possible that these two books were trying to make a point about how the things they're depicting were bad, but there is a level of misogyny and violence that feels too illustrative, exploitative and graphic to ever serve that purpose properly in my mind.

love triangles, yes or no ? i'm not against a love triangle when it's well done, i.e it has a real impact on the plot and is tied into the themes of the story. For example, I think the triangle in the Hunger Games is a good one, because Peeta represents (to simplify it massively) peace whereas Gale represents violence, the escalation of war and never ending conflict, so Katniss choosing between them is not just about moody teenager feelings. That said, the trope has definitely been overused in YA ; I really hate love triangles when it's just an excuse to stall the plot and throw in artificial delays because the characters are being wishy-washy and indecisive and non-communicative assholes. also i wish more of them got solved by polyamory or something.

How Does Bex Write?

Hey! So there were some peeps that were curious how I write so I figured since we finally hit-

400!!!

I figured why not dig into how I do it for those that are curious. So I am an adult with a lotta responsibilites so let’s dig into earlier this week. 

I woke up at 3:30 AM and worked from 4:30 to 1. I get home and jump right into doing chores while listening to a podcast (been consuming the My Brother My Brother And Me backlog as of late) and then get clean and cozy and showered.

Me when I first come home and me after getting cozy. A bitch do live in Canada in a basement but as we all know, hoe’s don’t get cold and the camp cyrstal lake short shorts are too good to pass up. I collect snacks and a drink and get locked into my writing station. I have one thing that fuels my writing more than anything. Hot cheetos. Deadass I am serious. 98% of anything of mine that you have read, I have consumed hot cheetos at some point during the writing process, I have a stock pile.

So I get under my blanket, with my snack and settle in, glass of Respecting Freddy Juice TM (water) at the ready and put on a movie, either a comedy I have seen or some garbage Netflix thing I don’t care about or a long form game play through. That day it was Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. 

On occasion this has backfired and I have picked a bad movie I got way too invested in (I’m looking at YOU The Dilemma with Kevin James and Vince Vaughn)

I cannot write to music, I am too musical, I end up singing more than I write. It has to be something I don’t have to think or mentally engage much with.

Then it can really get started. I used to write in tumblr drafts like an animal but now I write in google docs. I was working on an ask that day, so I re-read the ask a few times. It is one from someone who has asked previously, it is related to some I have done before so I skim the related peices. 

Then I write. 

I need a title first or I can’t write. It’s my one thing, I need a title and thankfully it ususally comes P easily to me. I mentally plan a lot of what I write when I am at work away from my computer so it comes out pretty easily. I get inspo from all kinds of wild places thankfully. I also write linear, I can always add more in the middle later if I need to beef it up or get other good dialog ideas. I will go between watching, writing, texting some peeps and other socials. 

I DON’T force it. 

I take it as it comes. 

Some days I write only a paragraph or two, some days I write a whole ask in one shot or multiple ones. It all depends on the day. I try to be gentle with myself and if some days I don’t make progress than that is fine. I am only human.

For an ask I typically want it to be at least 1K minimum. Once it is done I do a proofread. Then I get it onto however I am posing it on tumblr. I do another proofread as I italicize it, that last proofread is more intense, I really look at sentence structure, overall vibe and feeling. Is it cohesive? Does it flow well? Is the postitioning clear throughout? Can I squeeze another kink in here? I try to write like how I talk so I will also read aloud a lot to see if it flows well verbally but not every time. 

Then another skim, I tag it, do my yelling in the tags, select any gif I need and bada-bing-bada boom ya got some smut! A Triple X Bexxx special! 

I’ll typically put it up on my Ao3 the next day because ya never know who might vibe,

Justice Girl

I rewrote the first part I had already done and made a cohesive one shot instead of doing my usual of making one part and then forgetting about it :p

What if Hawk Moth had been quicker to get his first akuma?

WARNING: A bit salty, but I don’t think enough to be classified as outright “Salt”

“Many centuries ago, magic jewels bestowing extraordinary powers were created. These were... the Miraculous. Throughout history, heroes have used these jewels for the good of the human race. Two of these Miraculous are more powerful than the others; the earrings of the Ladybug, which provide the power of creation; and the ring of the Black Cat, which grants the power of destruction. According to legend, whoever controls both these jewels at the same time, will achieve absolute power.” The little butterly like creature know as Nooroo narrated, finishing in a sad tone. Remembering the other Kwamis always made him felt nostalgic, and sad at the idea that he might never see them ever again.

“I want that absolute power, Nooroo” replied the man, his now owner and holder. “I must have those Miraculous!”

“But nobody knows where these Miraculous are! It would be an incredible contrived coincidence if they are even in the same continent we are now!”

“I found you though, my little Nooroo.”

“Yes, in Tibet. We’re like a million kilometers away from that! Seriously there’s a fat chance you’ll…”

“ Your Miraculous... remind me of its powers again.”

“The Moth Brooch allows you to give someone their own superpowers and to make that person your devoted follower!”

“And when it comes to luring superheroes, what could be better than creating supervillains?”

“But master, the Miraculous are not meant to be used for evil purposes! Wouldn’t it be way easier if you use my powers to make a super hero healer to cure your wife from her Soap Opera Coma?”

“…. Where is the fun in that? I must have this absolute power! Your Miraculous is in my control! I am your master now, and you must obey me.”

“Aw, fuck… I mean, Yes, master” nodded Nooroo sadly, aware that he had landed on the hands of a drama queen supervillain. He even thought his wife was just an excuse for his super villain agenda. He saw how he put on the brooch, and wished if the man would have been as enthusiastic if his Miraculous had been a hair accessory or something more girly.

“Nooroo, dark wings! Rise!”  Nooroo went inside the brooch and Gabriel Abigail Agreste grew a foot taller, using the magic to transform himself. Apparently he had height issues. And a fetish for Luchador masks. “From this day on, I shall be known as... Hawk Moth!” he claimed, and then laughed evilly, despite being alone in the hideout. He made a mental note to tell Nathalie how well his first transformation had gone.

“Master, Master!” The little turtle like creature known as Wayzz woke up from a nap and immediately  panicked through his holder and current Guardian of the Miraculous Box of Creation and Destruction massage shop. Unfortunately, his master was with a client, and he almost got caught.

“Uh…  Master, master... chanting, it's all part of the treatment. Master, master... “ He made the customer stand up and pushed him out the door rather quickly. Thank goodness he gave his massages to fully clothed people or that might have been awkward.  “Thank you for coming, see you again next week!”

“Master, the Moth Miraculous, I felt its aura.”

“Damn, I forgot to charge him… Wait, what? I thought it had been lost forever!”

“You mean, you lost it forverer”

“Same difference. How did you feel it anyway?”

“Uh… But Master, it's a negative aura. I fear it may have gotten into the hands of a dark power!”

“You and your overdramatic ass… Someone probably found it at a flea market or something… either way, we must find Nooroo and his Miraculous. If it has gotten into the wrong hands, there's no telling what evil will come upon the world!” Master Fu raises his arm, in which Wayzz Miraculous rests.  “Time to transform! Wayzz... “

“… I’ll bring your medicine”

“ I'm only 186! But you're right, Wayzz. I can no longer do it alone. We'll need some help.!”

Fu opens the gramophone, revealing the Miraculous chest box

An alarm is off. The owner of said alarm hasn’t even made an attempt to turn it off. Typical teenager.

“Marinette!” yelled the teenager’s mom from downstairs.  “Your alarm's been going off for fifteen minutes! You're going to be late for your first day back at school!”

Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a normal life with a normal life, crawled out of underneath her bed covers, still half asleep. “Got it, Mom!” She turned the alarm off and went to prepare for class.

During her routine, she couldn’t help but get a bad feeling overall. She would return to class this morning, after an uneventful break. Uneventful, boring, friendless break.  It’s not that she didn’t try, but with Chloe Bourgeois as a classmate,  the bitchiest bitch that has ever lived, and herself as a constant target of her bullying, it was rather hard to stand up to her, not to mention everyone else just looked away, afraid what would she do if they ever dared to show kindness to her. She sighed, and hoped against hope that Chloe wouldn’t be her classmate this year.

Hawk Moth feels it, for the first time, someone else’s feelings. He had to compose himself at first to remember those are NOT his own feelings… Such strong feelings... the anxiety… the fear… the outright despair of a teenage girl who doesn’t want to go to school today. Somewhat cliché, he thinks, but beggars can’t be choosers, and once he focus on someone, as Nooroo explained, he can’t track anyone else.

He digs in the feelings. The more he does it, the less foreign it feels, the clearer he gets what’s the girl is feeling... what he is feeling. Another girl bullies her, and the teachers don’t do anything. She also doesn’t have any friends, not for lack of trying, but from fear of retaliation of the other mean girl… Even he starts to feel bad for the poor girl. But if everything goes according to his plan, this girl will get sweet revenge on the Mean Girl, and he will get the Miraculous… or at least confirm if they are somewhere nearby after all.

“Fly my little Akuma, and evilize her!”

Marinette was ready for the day. Or as ready as she could be, anyway. She sighed again.

“Coming!” she announced herself, walking down the stairs to the family kitchen, where her mom was waiting for her. “I bet you anything Chloe will be in my class again.”

“Four years in a row, is that possible?”

“Definitely. Lucky me!”

“Oh, don't say that! It's the start of a new year. I'm sure everything will be just fine!”

Marinette smiled and nodded, trying to put on a brave face for her mom, and setting down the cereal. Several things are knocked over, spilling and falling to the floor. She groans.

After cleaning up and finally getting breakfast, both of them go downstairs, where the family business is located, a bakery. They find Tom, Marinette’s dad, singing while preparing a box of macaroons.

“Dad, these are so awesome!”

“Glad you like them.”

“Thank you Dad, my class will love them! You're the best!”

“We're the best, thanks to your amazing designs.”

Marinette hugged her dad, dropping the box. Fortunately, he caught it on his terribly huge foot and gives it back to her

“Thanks.” Marinette gets her backpack from her mom and with the box of macaroons, she says goodbye.

Marinette then tried to cross the street, but a car passes by and prevents her from it. She remembers her bad luck… and the possibility that Chloe will be her classmate and make her year miserable. Again.

Without paying attention to it, a little butterfly got inside her purse. OR rather, the butterfly fused with her purse, turning it a dark purple color, and made it look more like it was made of shadows.

“Hello, I am Hawk Moth” said the villain after his Akuma flied into Marinette’s purse. “You have suffered enough at the hands of that bully girl. You have suffered because no one had come to your rescue, not your classmates, not your teacher, not even your parents. But you’re not alone anymore, I offer you my powers. I offer you to make Justice for yourself, and to help everyone else, so no one has to felt like you did. Do you accept?”

Marinette dropped the box of macaroons, and didn’t notice an old man on the other side of the street clearly panicking when he saw her saying “I accept”

And she transformed. Marinette Dupain-Cheng was no longer, replaced by… a super hero. Justice Girl was her name now, her normal clothes replaced by a (somewhat tacky) super hero costume. She was wearing a domino mask that was supposed to hide her identity, although a lot of people just saw her transform in the creepiest of ways.

She then smiled, and went flying to the school (Which people later thought it was hella dramatic of her, as the school was basically in front of them).

She was sure she could find Chloe

She was sure she could make Chloe pay.

“Nino, Why don't you have a seat in the front row this year?”

Miss Bustier, the kind and kind of pushover teacher asked a boy hanging in the back row, minding his own business. Without saying a word, the boy complied and took a seat at the front.

“You better treat Adrien right, Lahiffe” he heard someone said to him. He looked at the girl, who took a seat in the bench behind him. Chloe Bourgeois, resident Queen Bitch. He didn’t like her, but also didn’t want to get on her bad side, as he knew that would be trouble.

“Who?”

Chloe looked at him in disbelief, and let out a haughty laugh. Her sidekick, Sabrina, who was sitting beside her, followed her example.

“Can you believe he doesn't know who Adrien is? What rock have you been living under?”

“He's only a famous model” replied Sabrina, just as haughty as Chloe.

“And I am his best friend. He adores me.”

If this Adrien was Chloe’s friend, Nino could help but hate his guts, and dread to be his benchmate for the rest of the year.

“Has everyone found a seat?” asked the teacher, ignoring Chloe’s bitchiness despite it happening literally in front of her. “For those of you who don't yet know me, I'm Miss Bustier. I'll be your teacher this year.”

“Ugh, he should have been here by now.”

No one seemed to notice that Marinette hadn’t arrived yet either.  The door suddenly opened, kicked by Justice Girl. She got inside the classroom and smiled in a creepy way.

“Oh, but I am here!” she smiled. Everyone looked at her, first in shock at the door being kicked, then in confusion. None of them seemed to realize she was Marinette, even if all she had was different clothes and a mask.

“Excuse me miss” Miss Bustier tried to confront her. “I think you have the wrong classroom”

“No, I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be” she looked at the whole classroom, and immediately noticed that Chloe wasn’t in her regular seat, but instead had decided to take a claim on her. “I have come to make her pay for her crimes.” She said, pointing an accusatory finger at Chloe.

“And who are you supposed to be?” Asked Alya, the only one who wasn’t as confused (and afraid) as the rest of the class.

“I’m Justice Girl”

Outside the school, Adrien Abigail Agreste, Teen Model, was having his own battle.

“Adrien, please reconsider! You know what your father wants!” asked a very worried woman, his father personal assistant that also took care of Adrien’s schedule.

“Sucks to be him then, this is what I wanna do!” He said, running to the school’s entrance. He knew he would be in trouble the second his father learned that he was attending public school, but he also knew that it would look very bad if he pulled him from school after being seen by everyone there. Not to mention the temper tantrum Chloe, his childhood friend would throw.

Luckily for him, Chloe had already told him his classroom and schedule, and how to get here.

He had seen a lot of anime and manga and movies and obviously he didn’t expected them to burst into song (Although he hoped so with all his heart, brain, kidneys and assorted internal organs).

“Sorry I’m late I…” he said after entering the classroom.

He wasn’t prepared for this.

All his classmates were in the back, he could only see a couple of guys and a tiny pink haired girl. Everyone else was trying to hide behind them. On the front, what he supposed was their teacher had her hands on her head, as if she had a migraine.. He took a second to notice, but recoiled when he noticed that her eyes were wide open, but she was no pupils. Her eyes were a deep purple, and in one of her wrists, she was wearing a bracelet, which gave him a bad vibe. In front of him, three girls stood. Chloe was behind a girl with glasses that he didn’t know, and another girl was in front of them, looking like she just came from an anime convention.

He was pretty sure there were no anime conventions, otherwise he would have gone (Disguised, of course.).

He then noticed the anime girl was floating a few inches above the ground.

“I don’t care that you fancy yourself a super hero” said the girl with glasses. Adrien assumed she was protecting Chloe. Or knowing Chloe, she was being used as a human shield. Probably a bit of both. “This is wrong!”

“You must be new here.” The hero said, looking at the girl with glasses. “She’s a criminal. A Bully.”

“Name’s Alya, nice to meet you”

“Likewise”

“Still, Superheroes shouldn’t be jury, judge and executioner”

“This girl’s father is the mayor of Paris. She has everyone wrapped around her little finger. Students fear her. Teachers can’t do anything about her. Believe me; I’m doing everyone a favor.”

“Have you seen everyone?” said Alya, gesturing to her new classmates, who were still cowering. “IF she’s a bully, you’re no better than her”

Justice Girl looked at the others… sad?

“And look what you did to our teacher! Did she deserve that too?”

Justice Girl looked at Miss Bustier. Unlike with her classmates, she just cocked her head, almost in confusion.

“Actually, my power makes people feel how their crimes have made other people feel. This teacher’s inaction hasn’t made anyone any favors.”

“SHUT UP! She’s the best teacher ever!”

Justice Girl looked surprised. It had been Chloe who talked. And it sounded sincere.  She smirked. Of course Chloe would like the teacher who gave her free rein. Of course Chloe would like the teacher who allowed her to bully and mistreat and make everyone miserable without any sort of punishment.

“We all hurt other people, even when we don’t mean to. You are hurting all of us” said Adrien finally.  Justice Girl turned around to see the newcomer.

“Adrikins!” yelled Chloe, still behind Alya. “Don’t get any closer, she’s crazy!”

“Another new one? Beware of Chloe. She’s the worst.”

“AM NOT!”

“I know Chloe can be a handful…”

“Hey!”

“But she has a good heart!”

Justice Girl laughed.

“You don’t know her at all.” She said to Adrien, matter-of-factly. She then faced Alya again. “And why are you protecting her? You don’t even know her!”

“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing” said Alya solemnly. Justice Girl raised an eyebrow. “Well, girl, you are literally terrorizing a bunch of teens, ergo, you’re evil, and I like to think I am good, so I can’t let you get away with this.”

Justice Girl raised her arm, giving Alya and the rest a start. Adrien bravely jumped in front of them (Later, people would point out that it would have been easier to tackle Justice Girl instead of trying to perform a heroic sacrifice).

Justice Girl recalled the bracelet on Miss Bustier. It went inside the bag on her hip.

“You have given me a lot to think about, Alya. I applaud and respect your conviction, even if I don’t agree with it.”

She bowed to Alya, who awkwardly bowed back.

“You too Adrikins, but don’t go performing heroic sacrifices for others… especially when they’re no necessary.”

“Duly noted” replied Adrien from the ground, were he landed face flat.

She floated higher in the air, and went out through the window, shattering it.

“… Why she didn’t use the door?”

“Justice Girl” She could hear Hawk Moth on her head, just like before. “What are you doing? You’re supposed to…”

The girl in question was helping an elderly woman cross the street, carrying her groceries. After reaching her house, the old lady gave her a croissant. It was good.

“I’m doing some hero-ing” she said, and then she spotted a kitty stuck in a tree, and went to rescue it.

“That’s not… WHY aren’t you attacking that mean girl?”

“Because I would be a villain if I attacked her unprovoked” Replied the girl, while helping a man change his flat tire.

“What”

“Don’t worry, she will attack me sooner than later… but not like this”

She went to the school again, and entered through an open window in the locker room. She tapped her hip bag that had become her purse, and all the energy of the transformation went inside it. She was Marinette again.

“What… How did you…?”

“You made me a super hero, didn’t you?” she said, walking out of the locker room. “And super heroes have secret identities”

Hawk Moth was annoyed. He detrasnformed and looked at his Kwami. As long as this girl held his akuma, he wouldn’t be able to create another one.

All his plans ruined, before they even started, all because he decided to use his powers in a girl who wanted Justice.

Yeah, I’m not 100% satisfied with my drawing, but that’s the basic concept. I only used olors that were already on Marinette’s palette, and her symbol is one of her flowers (Which obviously no one will recognize).

I tried to give her a bit of a chinese flair, but still make it a silly super hero costume, hence the half cape. 

I might add more colors/details if I draw her again, but for now I’m happy.
