Her name is A’aliyah (named after my first favorite singer the late Aaliyah) of course she likes to sing lol. She’s a soft spoken young lady who enjoys stargazing Pandora’s beautiful sky.

Her stripes are kinda changed to look similar to my fur baby.

After getting the hang of 5 head tall four fingered long eared aliens, I have to learn how to draw the 9-10 head tall four fingered blue cat aliens lol

Currently reading: Tides of the Dark Crystal! I really like the Gelfling main characters. There are many marked pages in my book with descriptions of the Skeksis xD I'm also reading The colour of revenge (Die Farbe der Rache) by Cornelia Funke. Sadly all my favourite characters died in the previous books (piper my beloved).

Last thing I googled: The menu for the restaurant I will visit with my sister today. If I go there unprepared, I may get overwhelmed by the food selection and order something I'll regret. Happened to often >_< To much choice, not enough time.

YAYYY!! May I request some Gurjin x reader relationship headcanons? Reader can either be Gelfling or a species of my own oc except inclusive to all readers!

So my species I made, I don't wanna go through the entire backstory cause it's a lot lol BUT some straightforward stuff, they're taller than Gelfling but still shorter than skekSis. They mainly have human features except they have big ol awesome wings!! And they can fly! Men have feathered wings and women have webbed wings.

ANYWAY I always liked the trope of the silly little boyfriend and the badass girlfriend/boyfriend/partner. I just think it would be really funny with Gurjin being the silly little guy lol

Gurjin x Reader Headcanons (Requester's Oc Species Reader)

Gurjin is the only one of the group to be in a relationship with someone of your species

He uses it as a playful flex with his friends

He loves it when you lift him a little so you can kiss his lips/face

He also loves your cuddlessss

He always feels safe with you

As far as he could remember, he had never been in mid-air until you flew, holding him, the first time

Ever since then he often begs you to take him flying

"Please please please please please Y/N pleaseeeeee"

How can you say no to that face?

It's also something you automatically do for him if he's upset

It's the one thing you know will always cheer him up

When he gets himself in trouble, you're always the one to get him out of it

That's because you think things through whereas he is the complete opposite (which is usually what gets him in such positions to start with)

He knew if anyone messed with him, they'd be dealt with accordingly as soon as he told you about it

That was past tensed because the word got out after the first couple times you defended him, and now most people know better than to mess with him

You catch him staring at you all the time

"What?" You ask with a smile each time you catch him staring

He always shrugs and smiles back. "You're just so amazing. I'll never know I did to earn someone like you."

Jim Henson AU feedback

So I’m looking to possibly write a big fic on Jim Henson multiverse kinda with an emphasis on dark crystal. Basically a few gelfling would be transported to earth which is shared between fraggle rock, muppets, and Sesame Street all in their irl locations (fraggle rock in Canada, seasame street New York, muppets in Los Angeles).

But idk where everyone would go necessarily? I feel like Rian would definitely end up in fraggle rock, possibly with Brea and Deet maybe? Maybe Hup? Trying to also determine who would go to the muppets and who would go to Sesame Street.

Basically the premise is it’s an AU where tdc characters (mostly gelf) get sucked into an earth where the muppets, fraggles, and Sesame Street is all real. Their mission is to find each other and get home. I may also place a few characters from each in Thra but again focus would mainly be gelfling on earth.

The characters I see going to Thra are probably uncle traveling Matt, Kermit, Cookie Monster, Fozzie, and Boober, with their respective friends scrambling for leadership replacements/trying to find them. But if anyone could find better fits to go to Thra lmk. I was preparing to have Honeydew and Beaker stay on earth with Doc to come up with a way to get the gelfling home when they eventually team up. Other than that lmk who you guys think should go to Thra/be interesting plot points. The only one I know for sure is staying is Gobo so he can interact with Rian.

I’d go in depth on Matt/Gobo’s relationship and how much it actually hurts Gobo that he’s always gone/he longs for something more and for Matt to be close more often and see him as more of a son than nephew. I think for Kermit I’d explore him not having to take a leadership role and realizing he’s happier getting to be part of a group and not have to lead it.

For the gelfling, it’d be finding out how the world works on earth and them slowly realizing the Skeksis were actually oppressing them. For Mayrin/Ordon, they’d learn how much they put work over their kids and ended up hurting them and strive to have better and stronger relationships with them. For Rian, Gurjin, Brea, Deet, and a few others, it’d be hardening them to an unfamiliar world and making them a bit more serious/respect the lives they had rather than try throwing it away by putting themselves in dangerous situations. For characters like Tolyn/Seladon, it’d be that they can have fun sometimes and not to only focus on work but on those around them they love.

I also point out characters like Gobo and Kermit as being the leaders of their respective shows they’d also be semi main focuses. I’m thinking possibly a team up in the end to defeat the Skeksis with the Skeksis teaming up with others as well? (Though other JH villians are kinda hard to find…maybe the hecklers form muppets? I don’t think Doc would help them though…but maybe unwillingly or they lie to him that they’re the good guys?).

To give more clarity on the timeline it happens right before AoR and on earth would be the original muppet show, fraggle rock, and semi original Sesame Street (perhaps a few years after Kermit started the muppets and switched jobs from Sesame Street to the muppets). Not planning on Walter or anything like that. Main human with be Doc or ocs/side characters without a big role.

But anyway any help is greatly appreciated might make this more of a summer project but I’d enjoy any feedback I got thanks!

Hear me out! I’m about to go absolutely batshit nerdy for a second…

What if the Galaxy that Ezra Yeeted himself and Thrawn to, is the same galaxy of the planet of Thra?

Thra is the home world of the Gelflings in “The Dark Crystal” series.. created by the legendary Jim Henson, who was good friends with Gorge Lucas, I think they worked together on “The Labyrinth” anyway… I just think it would be so awesome if the two franchises were apart of the same universe.. and maybe in this Galaxy the force functions just slightly differently to the way it does in the main galaxy..

For instance.. Thra has a massive Crystal that’s uniquely connected to all life on the planet.. it very well could be a strange form of sentient Kyber Crystal, that gets thrown out of balance in the Force, causing its change into the “Dark Crystal” from the original movie, and the Gelflings??

What if the Gelflings are as a species.. somewhat cousins to the race of Grand Master Yoda & Din Grogu.. like their Home planet is within the same solar system as Thra, and both their species once shared a common ancestor..

THAT’S RIGHT!! I’m saying they’re originally from this other galaxy and THAT’S why so little of Yoda’s species is seen throughout the Star Wars galaxy and why information about their race is practically nonexistent!

…. And also I wanna make a Gelfling OC to be Grogu’s adopted big sister..I love wholesome found family fics

I‘m going to be completely honest, I don’t know that much about Star Wars history or George Lucas‘s other works but what if Master Yodas race used the Purrgils to navigate themselves to the ‚main‘ galaxy?? Just like Ahsoka did but when they noticed that there was a shift in the force they just stayed on their galaxy or travelled to another??

Designed new Gelfling OCs with my partner!

Nerithra (Drenchen) is hers and mine is Nealia (Spriton). Their story takes place after the Skeksis have been defeated. Both of them are struggling with finding their place and purpose in the new world of Thra, but at least they're together.

Nerithra is usually so stoic she feels awkward showing her true feelings to others, but she's slowly learning to embrace them... and Nealia ;)

This may sound like the wierdest ask, but... two things:

1. Would you like to be my Beta writer ? (I think that is what it is called.) And 2. I'm glad you like the story I wrote for some Ocs^^

Not a weird ask! Gods, I wish I could commit to saying yes! For now can I say possibly in the future?

I am so happy to see anything AoR related. That show was so much better than we deserved.

So, I’m a people pleaser and my initial reaction is always to say yes — but I’m trying to not overload myself at the moment! I began writing fic again to heal from trauma and grief but I adore the community around it.

That said, I am still dealing with residual stress and depression from the aforementioned trauma and grief and I need to make sure I am able to function properly for my own mental health, my family’s (I have young kids and a spouse) and my work life balance.

That said I’m also a multitasker and do want to consider beta reading sometime in the future… I just don’t want to overcommit— as I do and let anyone down.

Can we say possible rain check?

And I love the OCs. We got SO MUCH Gelfling Lore (pun intended) and not enough time to play in it…

Very busy with other projects but have a Na’vi Oc because I’m excited to finally watch this movie next week!

I don’t know too much about her aside that she’s soft spoken + shy, and she’s got a sad backstory. Idk why sketching her made me want to loosely render but I had a lot of fun. A new year goal is to get better at painterly rendering- wish me luck.

Her marking are off in the second colored piece because I just couldn’t go back and forth. Also here’s an example of most times I just like my sketches over my lineart or rendering. I love the messy look- just gotta make it look like a clean mess lol

Here's my Gelfsona, or Gelfling OC!

Her name is Petra, and she is a Grottan. She is most known for her work as an adept seamstress in Domrak, the Grottan capital. She has even imported her work to the other clans too, and receives materials for clothes from other clans when needed. Petra is very kind, not being one to complain, and she has very frail health, and the illness is not specified, but she manages pretty well despite it, and she still remains gentle, like the rest of her clan.

I drew this because I had a lot of inspiration from @thanatasia, who has their own full squad of amazing OCs, including the wonderful half-Stonewood, half-Dousan Fleur, and so many funny and heartwarming stories too! I absolutely love Thanatasia's artwork, and so I have to say they're my favourite Dark Crystal artist 💗

In the Natives AU, obviously no Castle of the Crystal, the Crystal of Truth is out in the air like it always was meant to be with Aughra never too far. But no matter how she was always around, with @dracocheesecake we agree many people notably the Gelfling offered to assist her in protecting the Crystal. Not that she thought it was needed, in fact protesting, but she couldn't oppose the enthusiasm. Pluuus she DOES prefer Gelfling so using the pretext they are closer to Thra anyway let them send guards even if she deemed it useless ; still not apeasing jealousies from other people NOTABLY Skeksis, even though sometimes with exceptions Aughra does accept guards from other people to appease minds and rekindle her contact with them. Since she is motherless in the AU (we love the theory Raunip is half UrSkek in the canon verse but since here no MalVa well no Raunip) it also helped her keep company and not feel alone as grumpy as she seems. So there are guards of every clan, Dousan too, residing in a camp not far

That's why even in that AU Mira (whom I remind does NOT die since she was never drained... neither does Tolyn sadly, faithful and bootlicking to Aughra here), Rian and Gurjin know each other and are friends and still fucking up and goofying around

In faaaact one day they mess around so much another day they disobeyed they NEARLY damage the Crystal one of them ending up on top of it. HERESY, all the Gelfling are furious and pit on them, Aughra both trying to ease the tension protecting thel from others giving a form of wisdom, but herself bopping them on the head and demanding that they learn responsibility and that for now she wants them out of her sight. Ordon is very disappointed (daddy issues in that AU too) and since in a way this was an awful diplomatic incident sends them all 3 to Ha'rar court to let the All Maudra decidd what to do with them or at least to Mira who is a Vapra. Mayrin decides it is best to teach them a lesson and reinforce her alliance with the Skeksis Empire to send them to the capital at the Emperor's castle for an exchange of guards for a whole trine whether they like it or not. Skeksis answer positive but send only one guard, considering and precising so that one Skeksis is worth 3 Gelfling (racism that already ticks off the 3 buddies and Brea who overhears it). The guard, my OC SkekFih (him and no another because being the General's and Ritual Master's son in law he is considered as the highest choice... also a side of their mind hopes to get rid of him that way lol), is not sent at the Crystal which is neutral ground but in Ha'rar for that punishment turned diplomatic tactic to strengthen the alliance with the Gelfling, the trio and SkekFih in a way tasked to be ambassadors during that trine. Rian Gurjin and Mira having tge pressure NOT to fuck up outside of their comfort zone with a task given by the All Maudra herself everybody hoping it would help them mature up

Rian, Gurjin and Mira do not get a very warm welcome despite being given a cheerful tour of the castle by the SkekEi Chatelaine (who may or may not say some microaggressions too), feeling the mockeries even if whispered in Skeksish between Skeksis behind their back they don't understand, and some kinds of passive aggression from some courtiers as forms of provocation and lack of respect in general do occur from the hosts who are sure they are superior and want to give a hint once again (SkekVar and SkekAyuk having the dish "Gelfling essence" served in the barracks to "welcome" them. At first glance it does seem great since it is a luxury and does taste good, but given the name and the taunting on how it is obtained from Gelfling resources therefore they could say they do "drain" them and hear all the snickers Mira and Rian do not savor it or feel comfortable Gurjin gave 0 fuck it ate it all) meanwhile SkekFih is as honeyed and perfect as possible among the Paladins to be in the All Maudra's good graces, but really he actually feels contempt about these disgusting featherless midgets and is actually not happy himself to be there (he IS aware it is half to get rid of him and he misses his family) and writes anything he considers as interesting to keep in mind during his patrol or when he overhears conversations to his mate SkekLong the Ritual Apprentice in case, who knows

So when SkekSo ends up attacking and declaring war with no warning or official agreement 6 unum into that trine, Mira, Gurjin and Rian who already sensed something was wrong and were already feeling a harsher rise of a tension got imprisonned as war hostages and SkekFih reacted as soon as he heard the first news of villages being set ablaze by flying the coup thanks to his mate's letter (that explained him what strategy the Emperor, the General and the Spy Master had chosen and giving him a 2nd letter for Mayrin feigning to need him back for an emergency) before being potentially arrested as a hostage or killed not without having killed the messengers and hidden their bodies discreetly (which Brea would find under the throne when discovering the secret passage he had discovered first and did not know someone else would) so the news would hopefully arrive too late to Mayrin's ears to react properly (and which would result in "there is no war, it is just a rumor, we had no declaration and no news, proof the Skeksis are still trading with us whe must NOT attack first for simole paranoid tales" for a short time especially on Seladon's side)

We are yet to determine more details, we just know the trio will escape (and Mira had recently found out from the Doctor of the Castle after fainting during training - which earned more remarks how Gelfling are weak - she is pregnant and doesn't know how to tell Rian with all that frenzy) and as soon as SkekFih returns home he comes sure he will congratulated by his father-in-law for his precious help and initiatives but is just pushed away with a "BAH YOU WERE A COWARD, I'D HAVE KILLED THE ALL MAUDRA IF I WERE THERE YOU JUST WANTED TO FLEE" from SkekVar. Dude wants his approval into the family too hard
