oh no decisions and being given freedom to talk about anything....

I just rlly care them lots <3 I could talk an essay about the ship, they're beloved to me. they're really sweet, and they make me smile lots!! they compliment each other rlly well as charas and as a dynamic-- I love how they both uplift each other's strengths and help them grow past their weaknesses. friends to lovers is a ship dynamic that I'm v soft for and I think they do it rlly well and respectfully,,, I sent a little ship meme I made ages ago last post that talks about a few silly headcanons but they just fulfill a lot of tropes that I love.

it's really interesting to me that they parallel each other a lot-- they both end up visibly questioning what they're doing and the team that they're a part of, but are trapped in it for different reasons. they're both kinda the one spot of normalcy for the other in Meteor-- which isn't a good environment for either of them to be trapped in. both of them seem pretty reluctant to battle the player (i.e. stuff like using gimmick sets, visible reluctance and dialogue surrounding fights), and only do so because of orders and obligations-- I get the feeling that the MC in a story instead of a game (and absolutely plan on capitalizing on this) would absolutely pick up on the fact that both of them never really... try. both of them just don't really ever want to fight you-- whereas some other characters like Blake, Zero, Fern, etc will pretty much always throw everything they've got. that along with them being really close in age (canonically! the exact ages are left ambiguous, as is the same for most other characters, but it's mentioned that they're very close in age) and they just are both really fun to talk about and to draw and write together. I love how they still are there for each other even when Meteor's no longer a thing and I love thinking about how much both of them finally having that freedom can help both their relationship and them as characters grow.

it's an AU but it's also pretty heavily canon-based in terms of characterization (although events diverge a lot from canon!) so I love the two of them in Margo's AU as well-- Martakace (Meteorshowershipping) is one of my fav ships along with Takace (Royalcourtshipping) rn <3

rambles under the cut bc this is OC stuff that I have shared custody over with some friends so it's not as pertinent to the original ask, so cutting it here in case you don't want to read!

HI if you're here! i have SO many thoughts about martakace and MC/Ace/Taka as a polyship outside of Margo bc they're a power throuple hdfsdf. since Ace doesn't send their letter, now neither of them know where to go, and they end up leaving to the desert together. neither are really very prepared, and they're both kinda in a rush so they don't have many supplies beyond food and healing items and their backpacks. they can't use their PC of course since Terra would zero onto them in an instant so they only have the teams that they carry on them (Ace's is modified a little to split between the mons they share on other teams), although they miss their other Pokemon dearly.

they end up sleeping on the sand together one night and wake up to find Margo on the platform the next day and the reaction is panic initially. Margo's absolutely been able to tell that neither of them have really wanted to fight throughout the game and they see that these two people are panicked and unprepared and just. protec. Taka and Ace are panicked on the other hand and just think "okay if they're here then the others aren't far behind and then it's gameover for us." so they're a mix between terrified and betrayed and resigned. but then the three of them are traveling together and they're just both. confused. Taka and Ace are obviously very close with each other but here they're kind of questioning whether this is even the same person that they heard rumors of with meteor? and Margo calls them friends for the first time and it's kinda the start of both of them developing a sort of puppy love crush-- where it's kind of just that Margo is very cool and thoughtful and kind to them. their feelings for each other are obviously the kind of thing that's never been acted upon-- Margo encourages them to be more open with themselves as well as with each other-- so Taka and Ace end up getting together in Train Town after having a first kiss one night very late in their travels when the three of them are stuck on top of Teknite at night. Margo refuses to take the Gible when they're all in Sugiline and adopts a Trapinch instead, and doesn't take the sword either when the three of them are atop the tower.

Margo just encourages both of them to be more open-- Taka to be more confident, and Ace that it's okay to be vulnerable and to put themself first sometimes-- since they have a habit of neglecting themself in favor of worrying about others (such as Taka and Margo). Taka and Ace help each other grow and end up growing closer as friends due to being able to communicate more, and grow into not just being used to acting as stepping stones-- but instead wanting to actively help others and do things. there's a lot of other canon divergences-- Labradorra City+tournament and Victory Road are big ones due to both Ace and Taka being involved in that and in a relationship now, and their feelings for Margo growing more (they don't get together until postgame after Margo comes back from the New World, though, so it's slowburn on that end).

there's so much more but I . will stop rambling. thank you for listening shdfsdkfsd I will talk more about either of them until the cows come home but this ask is getting too long and I'm getting embarrassed. I love them v much <3

Striaton trio head canons?

This is gonna get a bit long:

Cress is the eldest and Chili is the youngest, though none of them particularly take note of it.

The three were raised by their grandma, Nana Chapalote since they were infants, though As the got older they were often babysat by Officer Jenny, back then being known as simply “Jenny”. She was the only one able to handle all three of them at once.

Chili is left handed, but he trained himself to use his right hand and is basically ambidextrous at this point.

Cress wears glasses but he prefers contacts so seeing him in them is unlikely. Additionally, he is heterochromic, with his right eye being a goldish brown. Since that doesn’t how with the color scheme he’s going for, he simply covers it with his hair.

(Chili laughed at his eldest brother for a VERY long time when Cilan finally pointed out that that not only did colored contacts exist, but that they came in percsription as well)

They dye their hair- their natural hair color being dirty blonde/light brown.

Cilan’s hair is actually a lot longer than it looks, it’s just gelled back

While Chili is a notable hot head, Cress gets cold when he’s angry. He can and will create a meticulous plot for revenge.

Cilan on the other hand is cutting- when you have really pissed him off he weponizes his words. Out of the three though, he is the hardest to anger, so most don’t realize this.

All three are trans 🏳️‍⚧️. They don’t typically disclose this information to people, even their friends, due to bullying when they were younger and many people just being jerks about the whole thing.

(Iris was the first person outside of their immediate family that really knew, though Cilan didn’t tell her so much as she figured it out.)

Chili ended up traveling with Bianca for a while when he was on his own journey, and the two became friends.

While well meaning, the brothers have always little trouble magnets, resulting in them having to stay at the gym a lot of the time growing up.

They didn’t mind most of the time. Watching their grandma battle was always fun and if they got bored they could always convince one of the chefs to let them help

At age 6, the three were taken to a pokemon breeder exhibition where they each got to pick out a pokemon egg for themselves.

For the next month they wouldn’t go anywhere without the eggs- not wanting to miss them hatch. They did everything from backpacks to keeping pillows/blankets beside to simply hiding them in their sweater vests when the weren’t allowed to bring them.

Despite this, their eggs ended up hatching during their naps within a few minutes of the other.

Panpour, Pansage, and Pansear were pretty quick to check out the weird creatures sleeping nearby them. After some Brave exploration, they discovered the joys of blankets.

Waking up to small, unfamiliar pokemon poking you in the face (one of them trying to stuff leaves in your mouth) is always fun.

Well educated, their Nana made sure to cultivate a love of learning in her boys.

Cress is the only book worm- Chili and Cilan would much rather watch a documentary about something then read about it.

Chili and Cress like going to the movies with Cilan because it’s like having your own special features edition, with him being a movie connessuir (I swear spelling that damned word is going to be the death of me one of these days)

Since Chapalote and Drayden were friends, the two would regularly close their respective gym for about a week or two to visit the other and let their boys play together.

The triplets took to Ingo and Emmet like ducklettes to water and followed them around whenever they were over. Luckily, the two liked them just as much and were happy to infodump answer any questions they had.

They were visiting with Drayden when the Purrloin incident happened. (The Train Twins were about 12 while the triplets were 7)

Cilan, Chili, and Cress got separated from their family at the market when they were cornered by a pack of purrloin.

They booked it- but it wasn’t until they ran full speed into Ingo and Emmet that Cress and Chili realized that Cilan was not with them. The four rushed back to find the purrloin ganged up on him.

Lampent and Eelectrik made quick work of them, forcing them to scatter.

Scratches running down his arms and legs, Cilan didn’t get out of a fetal position until several minutes of coaxing. When he finally did, and he realized they purrloin were gone, he threw himself at Emmet and just started sobbing.

You can imagine Chapalote and Drayden’s fury when their boys come home semi-covered in blood. Finding out it was only Cilan’s blood did very little to alleviate either adults worry.

Cilan recovered fine physically- the scratches were only deep enough to bleed and most of the scars faded away pretty quickly, but he didn’t like being alone for a while. Luckily, Pansage was more than happy to stay within reach.

This was when they started properly training their pokemon to battle and pay attention more the their Nana’s gym battles.

She was more than happy to teach them what she knew, which was a LOT. (she wasn’t Unova champion 5 years running for nothing you know)

They took over the gym when they were about 14 when their Nana wanted to take a break from battling.

Thus the Strike Badge became the Trio Badge, continuing the Striaton Gym’s tradition of being a multi-type gym.

By the time Ash met them, they had been running the gym for about 3-4 years.

Dream SMP Recap (February 21/2021) - Tommy’s Visit, Guard Training Day

It’s the day for Tommy’s final prison visit, one last visit to see Dream and gain closure. Things don’t go exactly to plan, though, and the situation takes a turn for the worse...

Jack Manifold and Quackity discuss business plans, Eret returns to start collecting taxes, and Sam decides it’s about time to get some helping hands, getting Bad and Antfrost on the job.

- Tommy comes online to visit Dream one last time in prison, for closure. Even though Dream is locked up and out of sight, he still feels miserable, a little bit empty.

“I think it’s because I haven’t shut the book. He’s still in my life, y’know?”

- He heads over to the prison. He is greeted by photos of BBH and Rat. The pictures George put on the entrance are still there.

- Tommy comes through to the lobby and greets Sam. Sam asks the questions.

“When was the last time you visited the prison?” 

“A bit ago...like a while back. A month. A month ago.”

“Where is your place of residence currently located?”

“My home over there, down yonder. The hotel. The Big Innit Hotel, Sam.”

“Do you believe that the prisoner is deserving of being locked up?”

“Yes, yeah, I absolutely do. I think he’s a wrongen. I don’t think he deserves death, though. I should make that very clear. I don’t think he deserves death.”

“What are your prior relations with the prisoner?” 

“I think he’s a bastard, he’s ugly, and um...I’d say...We manipulated one another. He...he manipulated me, kind of a bit of the villain, kind of an evil guy, kind of the ‘Dr. Octopus’ of the Dream SMP universe.”

- Tommy puts his items in the locker and they go through.

- Tommy comments on how every traumatic place he’s been in has been made of blackstone.

- Tommy doesn’t need to see Dream, “Unless one of my close friends dies...”

- They make it to the lava wall. The lava descends, and Tommy enters the cell.

- They greet each other. Dream’s lost his clock since the last time Tommy visited, and Tommy cracks a joke.

Dream: “That’s the Tommy I know...”

Dream throws Tommy some potatoes to regen health.

- Dream says he’s happy that Tommy came to visit. It’s been a while. Tommy tells him that it’s his last time visiting. Dream asks why, and insists that he’ll get out eventually.

- Tommy asks about the crying obsidian. Dream explains that it’s a security measure, and he likes to watch it drip.

- Tommy says it’s his last visit again, and the conversation grows more tense as they argue about exile, and Tommy says that he can’t even go into plains biomes now without trembling.

- Tommy then asks about the books he asked Dream to write, to which Dream replies that he burned them.

- Tommy opens the chest and sees the thank you letters. Tommy asks if Dream knows anything about the Egg. Dream doesn’t know much about it.

- The subject of it being Tommy’s final visit comes up again, and Tommy tells Dream that he doesn’t want him in his life anymore, that he ruined L’manburg and almost killed Tubbo.

Dream: “I did bad things, but...everybody thinks they’re right from their perspective.”

Tommy: “That’s not true. That’s not true!”

Dream: “I think I’m right. I did bad things but I did them for good reasons, but I’ve learned, I’ve...I did bad things and I’ve learned that I shouldn’t have done them.”

Tommy: “What good reasons? No, please, enlighten us.”

Dream: “I just wanted a...I just wanted to bring the server together, have it be...a happy family, y’know?”

Tommy: “Bring the server t-- you f-- Dream, you blew up L’manburg, Dream. You tried killing me! You tried killing everyone! You tried hurting people’s loved ones, man, it’s like what the fuck! You’re delusional, man, and I’m fucking sick of it. And I...but I don’t need to go through any of this stress anymore, alright? Because this is me doing this to me now, not you. You’re fine now, you’re locked up now, you’re a bitch. I’m the one that’s giving me the stress here now...but I’m better than that! I’m better than you, alright? So I’m done here.”

“You ruined my past, Dream, but you will NOT ruin my future.”

- Dream continues to insist that he’s changing. All of a sudden, Tommy hears TNT explosions.

Dream: “Sounds like a security issue.”

- Sam disappears. Tommy calls to be let out.

Tommy: “Dream, it hasn’t been an honor knowing you, but it will be an honor forgetting you.”

- The explosions continue.

- Dream says he wrote the 7-days waiver and thinks this might be a security issue, but he doesn’t know what’s going on.

- Dream and Tommy continue to argue.

Tommy: “I KNOW YOU. You haven’t changed! You’re the fuckin’ monster of this server, alright!? Not the Egg, not anything like this, YOU ARE!”

- Tommy only has one life left, so if he dies in here, then he dies for good. 

(Dying by the lava wall to get out would be a canon death)

- Tommy panics and starts burning Dream’s books in the lava. And the item frame. Dream takes the rest of the books into his inventory.

- Dream hands him a book and says he could write a story.

- Dream continually insists that he’s changed, and that he didn’t have anything to do with the TNT.

Tommy: “You’ve not changed, you’re the same old...you’re evil. You’re just evil.”

- Sam messages saying the prison is on lockdown, and to hang tight.

- Dream hands Tommy more potatoes, but he doesn’t have many left. They’ll have to wait for the automated refill.

- Tommy asks how long it’ll be. Dream guesses up to a week, like the waiver says.

“Oh no...”

Tommy ends his stream there.

- Jack logs on to check on the hotel and is confused by where Tommy is. He checks Twitter and finds out that Tommy has been locked in prison. He asks Sam to confirm. Sam tells him that there’s been a security issue and no one is to approach the prison.

- At first, Jack is outraged that his plans have been foiled again. But then he realizes that, with Tommy in prison, he’s now gained ownership of the hotel! He rebrands it to the Big Jack Manifold Hotel.

- Jack goes to rebrand and Sam Nook greets him at the hotel. Sam argues with Jack, not wanting Jack to take ownership.

- Jack speaks with Quackity, telling him that Tommy’s in jail. Quackity talks about how there’s soon to be an established currency: the diamond. Jack agrees to pay two diamonds for leather.

- Eret comes over to the hotel and Quackity and Jack speak with them. They tell Eret about Tommy being in jail. Eret calls it a “hostile takeover of Tommy’s hotel,” but Jack tries to convince him that it was bad for branding for Tommy’s name to be on the hotel.

- Quackity tells Eret that he’s setting up a big gathering for the opening of his business soon.

- Jack and Eret argue about hotel pricing.

- Quackity tells Jack to not be intimidated by competition, and also describes a plan to create a network of easily-accessible roads. He doesn’t like the wooden path, and says that Jack’s hotel would be a good destination for business. 

- Quackity questions what Jack will do when Tommy gets out of prison. Jack insists it will be fine.

- Jack works on rebranding.

- He then speaks with Badboyhalo. Bad finds out about Tommy being in jail and is surprised. Jack theorizes that maybe he tried to break Dream out.

- Bad discusses having a room in the hotel. Jack asks for payment.

- Eret comes up with a plan to tax the shit out of everyone.

- Sam starts stream at the prison. He doesn’t know what the explosions were.

- He calls for Bad and Ant, as he’s going to make them guards. They’re part of the Badlands and he trusts them.

- The two arrive. Sam fills them in: Tommy came to visit Dream, as he had already 2 or 3 times, and there was TNT going off near the prison. He needs to figure out what’s happening, but he can’t leave the prison and he can’t be in every place at once, which is where the guards come in.

- He opens Locker 2 since Locker 1 still has Tommy’s stuff in it. Sam then starts filling them in on what each lever does.

- Sam walks them through navigating the prison and then shows them the guard-specific areas like the locker room and stasis chamber.

- Sam then shows them the spawn traps. Ant and Bad set their spawns. Each guard gets three full sets of Netherite, three chances to stop whatever security issue may arise.

- At the end of the next tunnel is something top secret that can’t be showed on-stream. 

- He also shows the chest with the waivers, including Ranboo’s in Enderman.

- Sam declares Ant and Bad officially guards. They are happy to finally be employed. Sam says he’s not paying them anything except the satisfaction of knowing they’ll be helping to keep Dream in there.

- Sam, Bad and Ant find Eret’s tax request.

- Ranboo works on building a farm, starting his farmer arc.

- There’s a secret message spelled out in his inventory that reads: “HE IS IN CON(T)ROL.”

a lot of advanceshippers love to say such bs about Drew even to this day. Drew is not my favorite character & it’s fine to prefer advanceshipping over contestshipping and I kinda like advanceshipping , but some of the things they say are ridiculous! This is not bashing on all advanceshippers or advanceshipping in general, this is just some quotes (not exact) I’ve seen that I’ve had problems with.

”Drew is a jerk! Ash would treat her right!“

Both would treat her just fine! Drew watches out for her & tells her when Harley is tricking her, saved her friends & brother when she was busy, saves her friends, cheers her up when she’s down, & they both calmly talk to each other when alone.

Besides, there are some things to point Ash being a jerk to her too! Ash yelled at her because he was butthurt he had no boat to get his next gym badge & skips out on watching some of her contest when May even watches him battle regular trainers.

And it’s not like May is an innocent angel herself. She yelled at Ash & Drew for no reason, had her torchic attack Ash, & forced Ash to agree to let her travel with him by bringing up her bike.

I know May & Ash have developed a lot sense than, but so has Drew & y’all are just stuck viewing him how he reacted at the beginning.

She doesnt hate Drew. At the very worst, she sees him as a friend & has seen him that way by “Who, What, When, Where, Wynut.” Like I said we seen them talk a lot when they run into each other & heck, she even ditched the group, including Ash as he was talking to her, to talk to Drew when she saw Drew. So tell me again how she loves Ash way more than Drew lol!

And in ”Spontaneous Combustion“ May blushes at Drew after he waved and walked off. May never blushed around Ash, even when some weird couple accused her of being Ash’s lover. And there was nothing in that scene that indicates her getting red met something else. She wasn’t sick, doesn’t look mad, didn’t do anything embarrassing, etc... so it looks as if she really likes Drew.

You people have nothing to back this up. Drew had fangirls gushing all over him? May being Norman‘s daughter and probably because she’s referred to as hoenn princess, has a lot of fanboys! In fact, Ash is more likely to cheat on May then Drew dispite him being oblivious, as Drew showed 0 interest in his fangirls & ran from them. If he was such a flirt, he wouldn’t run from fan girls, but would try & you know, FLIRT with them. Drew also showed 0 interest for other girls, & only teases May. You advanceshipper fanbrats (not saying all advanceshippers are fanbrats just the advanceshippers who think this) only pretend he is to make up reasons for May to reject Drew.

Hair color is NOT even close to a huge factor to what separates not ugly to ugly. And they don’t have to make babies if they do get together. They can just choose to adopt to help out those who need a home or just happily be with each other with no children at all.

🤦‍♀️Misty has the most screen time with ash. By this cruddy ”logic,” Misty & ash (so far) are canon. Yes, misty has much more screen time with ash than May. Misty had all of Kanto, Orange Islands, AND Jhoto with ash... as well as a cameo with ash in Hoenn, and TWO separate cameos in Alola. And at this point, May could have spent more time with Drew. It’s been 4 regions that Ash hasn’t even thought of 1 of her Pokémon after all this time. I’m no pokeshipper, but let’s be real here.

And most of the time Ash & May are on screen, it’s them focusing on their goals/Pokémon. They cheer & encourage each other too, but it’s mostly friendship stuff. Could something happen later on between them to spark love? Sure. But nothing in the anime ever pointed to that. And you can literally say that with Ash and... ANYONE! Like Ash could grow up, met back up with Roxie & they could fall for each other.

When Drew appears on screen, you mostly see hard evidence for contestshipping, weather on Drew’s side, May’s side, or both. Yes, there’s evidence on BOTH sides that they like each other. At best, advanceshipping looks one-sided on May’s side. And even then, it mostly looked that way in the beginning of AG. There’s way more evidence that May likes Drew & vice vesa than with ash & May, even with “less contestshipping hints!“ A lot of hints for shippings are overblown. Not just advanceshipping hints, but poke/pearl/negai(actually never mind, negai is under looked & over hated)/amour/etc... are over blown & it’s just ash being his usual nice/childish self. With Drew, it’s obvious he likes her as how he constantly stares at her, teases her, gives her red roses (& says they’re for beutifly), etc... While I think I covered how May likes Drew enough already. And yes, this could just be a kiddy crush for the both of them, but in the end there’s still harder evidence that Drew & May like each other.

Plus there are a lot of canon fictIonal couples who had less screen time with each other than other characters. Naruhina, ichihime, Hinny, gochi, etc...

If a writer wants to have rivals hookup in their story, than they have that freedom to have the rivals hookup regardless how upset you get over it.

Come on guys, they’re 10. The anime creators aren’t gonna have two 10 yr olds kiss on the lips. Its really creepy some person came up with this. No, it’s not creepy cuz I don’t like advaceshipping (I actually like some aspects of it). Again, it’s creepy because they’re 10. If they were like 13+ yrs old, it‘d be okay, but NOT 10. Plus, even Japan is very sensitive when having kissing on the lips happen with kid shows. Even with adults, they censor it/show something else as the kiss happens & just imply it happened. Expecally how they view kissing on the lips in the first place, they ain’t having 2 ten year olds kiss.

And there would be NOTHING to imply that they where going to kiss. Around this time this episode that they kissed claimed to happen (episode 357), Ash & co. where heading to fortree. Nothing ever was implied from the both of them even want to kiss each other. They just where supportive friends of each other with no hinting there where secret feelings or developing feelings from ether of them. Theres also nothing beyond that episode that implied the kiss happened. Because if it did actually happen, I’m sure something like that would impact the next few episodes, but nope no mention of any kiss nor do ash & May act any differently around each other in 358 and beyond. So even if it did happen, it was going to more than likely sink the ship, like it was some akaward thing they did because they were “under the mistletoe“ & afterwards just agreed to be friends & forget about it. The pokemon anime was always about friendship, adventure, and Pokemon themselves, never romance.

Also episode 357 is “Take This House and Shuppet!” not “A Kiss Under the Mistletoe!“ The Japanese episode is the same as the English barring names & episode number.

Were do you get such a sorce for this info? “my friend’s japanese friend who talked to the director of the AG anime & saw it!” or some other ridiculous unreliable garbage like that? That was older than the supposed advanceshipping kiss episode as ’Electric Soldier Porygon’ is a Original Series episode in Kanto the 38th episode. No one can find this supposed advanceshipping episode nor is it even listed in the banned episode list. It should be harder to find this older banned episode than it should be to find this supposed banned kiss episode.

Drarry rec list for @gaykagome no pressure <3 I tend to read drarry only as adults; I’m not really interested in them getting together at Hogwarts. I usually read works that have Harry specifically described as a poc. I don’t read fic that handwaves Draco’s terrible past behavior (tho not all of these will have explicit amends making) I also tend to read M+. 

First gotta mention the fic that got me reading drarry fic. Here’s the Pencil, Make It Work (M) by ignatiustrout. It’s 49k so definitely a commitment, but it’s so worth it! Harry keeps bumping into Draco in the muggle world, and falls into one of his obsessively investigating Draco Malfoy phases again, and eventually kinda muscles his way into a friendship with Draco. They fall in love very gradually and naturally. Harry and Draco are both really three dimensional, vivid, heartbreaking people in recovery. They’re both working really hard to be better people, and that’s an incredibly compelling story to me. Good fun and really touching. 

My darling friend @clytemenestras has written a really incredible slowburn mystery what we used to call case fic, A Guide to the Morphology of Magic. (E 64k) Sally’s Draco ear is impeccable, and his prose is incredibly affecting. If you love the mystery story aspect of the original canon, this fic is for you! Very compelling OCs too. 

So Sally would want me to rec (and I agree!) Grounds For Divorce (E) by tepre. It’s kind of a behemoth at 122k, but it’s wonderful. Harry and Draco are under an enchantment that forces them to regularly spend a certain amount of time touching each other. They have a lot of growing pains learning to deal with it, and they come together and apart a few times before ending up happy together at the end. You get to spend a lot of time with the characters and watch them grow. Draco is pitch perfect, and Harry is also a delight. Harry gets to visit Egypt and meets some of his extended family, which I just love. They spend a lot of time falling in love here; it’s quite luxurious. 

These are all really long, so here’s a much shorter one also by Tepre. It’s called Etched, Curled, Stationed (1.7k, T) and it’s about Grimmauld Place adopting Draco. Very sweet and lovely prose. 

Here’s another one by ignatioustrout called Around You Moves (29.6k, M), and Harry and Draco are roommates in their twenties, and it’s inspired by I believe a reddit post by a guy who’d always thought of himself as straight but found himself jealous of his roommate’s hookups. Charlie writes a very soft Harry, who is an actual preschool teacher, but he does frankly show Harry’s struggle to control his emotions and identify his feelings in the wake of his traumatic upbringing, and it’s so encouraging to see Harry working on his mental health and his relationships. I also like that this story directly addresses relations between Draco and Hermione, because Harry is not the only person Draco was horrible to when they were all at Hogwarts. 

So most of the stories I mentioned have a fair amount of sex in them, but this one takes the cake. It’s called Trouble, My Old Friend (E, 21k) by our old friend tepre. Harry is an Auror and investigating a certain potion that it turns out Draco invented. This potion will show you your deepest sexual fantasy. Well! Obviously Harry tries the potion and obviously it shows him Draco. Harry gets um immediately hooked on this potion. I wouldn’t call it PWP tho because it’s an interesting story that’s about sex and has a lot of sex in it. 

I’m not sure why I haven’t read very much in the way of shorter drarry works, but I have written a couple of ficlets. Here’s one where they play Pokemon Go together. Here’s one where a kitten follows Harry home. Those are really fluffy and short. 

Also I really found the idea of Draco being turned into a werewolf during the war to be super compelling, so I wrote a series about it! The series is called Moonrise and all 5 stories in it total 59k. The ratings vary from T-E. Harry is living in Grimmauld Place, taking in strays, and Draco finds he’s become a stray. It’s an everyone’s gay. Ginny’s gay, Luna’s gay, Neville’s gay, Ron’s bi. We’re all gay.  (Sally is also writing a werewolf drarry fic, so follow wendlaa on ao3 to get an email when it drops!! i’ve read it in draft, and it’s fuckin amazing)

It’s an epistolary story where Harry sends Draco postcards while he travels the world. I like to see Harry having some fun. Funny and sweet.

So I finally nailed down my designs for the black heart characters (except colossus, perry/predator and Madusa I'm still massing with them) along with some head canons! The characters might look a bit weird next to each other, I didn't draw them all on the same canvas. I know I'm suppose to but I was lazy and didn't want to re draw the refs on one canvas. I also appologize for this being so long.

I'm hoping to start a comic with these guys. I always end up saying no to projects like this because I don't think my art is good enough but I think I'm going to put my foot down this time!

Hal:

Can talk(unlike my version of Cyan)

Pretty laid back but knows when he needs to be serious

Will curse you out

Thinks Aura and Nautilus are cute together

His cape works as his "soul meter"(idk what to call it). It has 3 squares on the back that represent Hal's souls. The cape becomes tattered and ripped when souls are taken.

He just wants 5 minutes of peace without someone trying to take his souls, please give him his 5 minutes of peace.

Really hates colossus

In the context of black heart I don't consider him a nano bot. He can bleed and stuff like that.

When he sleeps his body starts to heal any wounds and mend his cloths. This leaves him defenseless as he will remain unconscious until it's finished. He tries not to sleep out in the open and often uses caves and trees as temporary shelters when he needs to sleep. This can also activate when he is knocked unconscious but in cases like with Colossus the healing part is stopped.

He can change colors but he prefers red. His cloths don't change colors with him. Just his skin and his cape.

Again, in he context of black heart, I imagine Hal just kinda woke up somewhere with a bit of knowlage about himself and that's about it. Shortly after works he ran into Aura and Nautilus for the first time. He considered the battle a joke.

Nautilus:

Has glowing markings all over his body. He can cause them to glow at will

Can only breath air for around 10 minutes( this time can decrease with some conditions such as heat or cold. This is because his gills need to be wet for him to breath air, so if it's really hot out his gills will dry out faster)

Has a stutter due to the N.A.T.U thing, among other things. Like trust issues when Xero is around

Is euryhalinr(this just means he can breath any kind of water)

His suit adds about 100lbs to him (material, water, and special boots to help with balance when moving around in the suit)

Likes to make jewlary with shells and stuff

Loves Aura to death. Would litterally die for her.

His teeth work like a shark's. One falls out? You've got plenty more to fill the gap! He has given pretty much all his friends breif heart attacks when he casually spits one out after they hear the loud bone cracking noise of a tooth braking. He keeps all the teeth.

Runs on all fours for some reason. No one knows why, including Aura.

Aura:

Learned all her magic from her parents

Her parents lived like hermits because they believed people still hold witch hunts. Aura hated this because she snuck out a lot and knew that this wasn't the case.

Can be a bit forgetful with spells so she always keeps her book with her at all times

Love Nautilus to death, would die for him too.

Can't swim, her body it denser then water so she just sinks. Nautilus is almost always with her when she's near water for this reason.

Aura's wand is broken but she just keeps fixing it with tape because she doesn't know how to make a new one. She also doesn't want to ask her parents because they wouldn't let her live it down.

Made the headphones Puffer wears so he doesn't have to worry about Siren trying to mind control him, again.

Aura has a secret garden. She uses it to grow her magic plants. It has a defense system that even Jestar can't get past. Only those she has given permission can enter, but those people can give temporary permission to others. Only Nautilus, Puffer and Solario have permission to go into the garden.

Has gotten use to the weird things Natalie can do.

Puffer:

A bit of a hermit, but will open up when he trusts someone

Always has his eyes closed because he thinks his eyes look scary. He can still see for some reason? (Like Brock from pokemon, idk how he could see but he traveled like 3-4 regions like that)

Changes colors depending on emotions. Blue is calm and happy, purple is upset and sad and red is anger and frustration.

Puffer can create lots of spikes all over his body if needed as well as a set of claws. He doesn't do this often.

Likes to cook but keeps it a secret from everyone. (Aura and Nautilus found out though, they just kept the secret)

He really doesn't like Siren after what she did to him, but he will talk to her and hang out with her if someone else he trusts is around.

Really wants to apologize to Hal but he hasn't gotten the chance to yet.

Is really self conscious.

He's not very good at swimming but Nautilus teaches him when Siren isn't around or in Aura's secret garden.

Siren:

Likes to sing for no reason

Has a not so small army of skeleton fish

Is litterally heartless (she doesn't like to talk about it)

Has a crush on Puffer but she doesn't know how to fix the bridge she burned with him

Plays chess with Myst a lot(and wins a lot, much to Myst's dismay)

She can shape shift her tail into a pair of legs. This was a "gift" from Jestar to help her be a better assassin for him

Thinks Xero is a prick

Likes to steal Xero's alcohol sometimes

Can water bend. She can't blood bend though. She's tried.

Likes rock and country music for some reason

Nautilus likes to play with her fish some times.

Knows a bit about necromancy. She doesn't like to talk about it though. She never does it in front of anyone besides her fish army

Myst:

Doesn't like to talk about his life outside work

Is well over 100 years old( he lost count)

Is very protective when it comes to Shade

Doesn't really understand Shade but will support her regardless

Likes to smoke when he thinks no one is around

Can create an umbrella to protect himself if he is caught outside when the sun comes up

Likes to play chess

Is basically a dad to the other assassins

Rarely opens his third eye. This usually only happens when he gets frantic, scared or extreamly angry

Myst told Nautilus about Shade once. He had a bad feeling and asked that if anything happened to him Nautilus would take care of her. Only problem was no one thought about the address of Myst and Shade's mansion. He found her though, don't worry.

When he is exposed to sunlight it will immediately cause him to get sunburned. If he doesn't leave after about 30 seconds- 1 minute he will start to die slowly and painfully. He has taken a lot of tea baths because of the sun

Solario:

A big dork

Very loud and bubbly

Is a prince from a kingdom galaxies away from where black heart takes place in

Was suppose to marry the moon from the moon is getting away level (haven't given her a name yet) but she unknowingly broke Sol's heart so he left. He wanted her to be happy and he clearly couldn't give her that happiness.

Doesn't understand "mortal" things but wants to learn.

Nautilus taught him the word yeet and now he won't stop using it

I headcanon that his voice actor would Gary LeVox(lead singer of Rascal Flatts)(don't ask why, I can't change what has happened in my brain)

Will stop at nothing to see his friends happy

Likes hanging out with Aura, Nautilus and Puffer

Can make himself hotter or colder at will. He tends to stay at a heat that won't hurt others when the go near him, but not cold enough to cause himself harm.

If he gets to cold he can die. He also starts to become extreamly cold or extremely hot before death. The direction his tempature goes in is dependent on what he was doing before hand. (Example: reading a book, gets shot, starts to get colder and colder. Attacking Hal trying to get his soul, shapeshifts so much he almost blows himself up, gets hotter and hotter)

Can be a bit over dramatic sometimes

He is incredibly strong. He can lift both Puffer(who whieghs roughly 230 lbs) and Nautilus when he's in his suit(so about 250 lbs) with no trouble. He forgets about his stranghth some times and has accidentally thrown a few things before quickly trying to fix it.

His shapeshifting isn't limited to just objects, he can shape shift small things about him self like his cloths or his entire body into something like a dinosaur. He doesn't do it often though. Mostly just the cloths thing.

Jestar:

Yells a lot

Thinks everyone is incompetent except Xero, for some reason

Accidentally took Puffer when Siren joined do to a confusion about Sirens powers. He refused to send Puffer home.

Colossus is basically just his pet

Xero is the only one who can get away with yelling at Jestar. No one really knows why but they hold really long arguments about all sorts of stupid stuff

Did I mention he yells a lot? I did? Well I’m saying it again. He yells A LOT.

Can shapeshift in to anything

Does not know how to handle baby Madusa. He doesn't know how to handle people in general, and he thought creating a baby was a good idea.

Xero:

hayley and stan were obviously tight-knit buds back in the day. like ,, she’d set up tea parties for them in the backyard, going out to movies was almost a weekly activity for the two of them, they were always planning picnics together,, they were really close. also every time they went to familyland together, hayley was always trying to drag him along with her to the more Extreme rides. francine kept telling her she’d go since she knew stan wasn’t the biggest fan of those rides like she was, but hayley kept insisting and it’d always end with stan near traumatized. big cia man goes on scary missions daily but he can’t handle a little roller coaster.

hayley’s hair was . pretty often a Mess when she was young. it was staticky, always sticking up at some angle, she often got too excited that she never took the time to comb out her hair in the mornings. plus it’s always been a habit of hers to play with her hair whenever she gets too excited or nervous, so even if she got it all straightened out it’d still turn into a mess by the end of the day.

hayley was always covered in scrapes and bruises. there was never a day where she didn’t have a bandaid somewhere.

she was a really tall kid during elementary school. she was almost always the tallest kid in her class. around high school everyone outgrew her though and now she’s . really short compared to most people her age, but yeah when she was little . Tall Girl (2019).

hayley skateboarded in middle school, and she was really damn good at it. she got in loads of trouble for skateboarding on school property and she thought she was the coolest kid for doing it.

stan and francine tried really hard not to curse around hayley when she was little (once steve came around they gave up trying), but occasionally something would slip out and hayley would always parrot it. stan looking at a bill and muttering ‘shit’ and then in the living room hearing what is obviously a toddler screaming ‘SHIT’

hayley, like steve, was always kinda lonely during her school years. steve eventually found friends in snot, barry, toshi, and roger too once he moved in, but hayley never really learned proper social skills as she was often pushed away for being the loud rowdy ‘annoying’ kid, and they always viewed her attempts to try to get close to others as too ‘desperate’. she has found friends in her adulthood, but yeah during her childhood she mostly just stuck around her family.

hayley was That Kid who would always use those fake clip-on earrings you’d get from claires, as well as cutting up the spiral from her notebook to use as a fake lip piercing, and she’d spend all day trying to convince her classmates ‘yeah no it’s real’

hayley liked stealing her dad’s camera and using it to film fake vlogs. they have multiple reels that go from cute family videos, to hayley making lps vids and fake cooking tutorials.

hayley drew a lot growing up and francine still has dozens of her drawings magneted to the fridge. hayley’s always cringing and asking her to take them down, but tbh francine’s never going to.

hayley’s always loved being outside at night. occasionally she’d sneak steve out with her to play in the backyard and it’d always lead to them in the treehouse, and stan catching them because they kept shining their flashlight against their bedroom window.

steve ones:

steve’s definitely adhd, autistic, and dyslexic. (the latter’s literally canon, and the two former ones are hcs that to me feel so obvious that i’m always a little hesitant calling it a hc). i really like imagining his parents being really patient with him in this area, even stan learned to be more composed and gentle with him when it came to this, and the two of them helping him find ways to cope. francine especially enjoyed nights helping him read.

steve’s interest in birds has been with him for pretty much his entire life, i like to imagine it’s always been his biggest special interest. also i’ve noticed there’s random scenes where stan’s displayed a bit of an interest or at least an appreciation of birds, so i kinda like to imagine stan used to take steve to the park for birdwatching trips when he was young before steve started going with roger. sometimes francine and hayley would tag along, but mostly it was just stan taking steve out and listening to him ramble about all the birds he’s spotting,, every time steve had a bad day stan’s immediate solution was to take him to the park.

when roger first moved in, he and steve were inseparable. steve was obsessed with learning everything about him and his species and his home planet, while roger saw steve as the one safe person to be around (francine, hayley, and klaus were still anxious towards him while stan was too strict and controlling for him). for a good few months until he started bonding with the rest of the fam roger would get really mopey whenever steve would go to school or leave to hang with his other friends, and the second steve walked through that door roger would excitedly hug him and try to lead him off to go do something together.

@a-d-lesbian got me into the hc that steve’s a theater kid and like ,, i’m always thinking about steve getting a tiny little background role in a 6th grade christmas show that they were required to do as a class, and he just loses his mind. he convinces stan and francine to let him invite the grandparents, he has francine film every scene he’s in where he just . Stands There. and then after the show when they get home he makes them all rewatch them all because he’s really damn proud of himself.

steve’s fave books growing up were always xenofiction. stuff like warrior cats and guardians of ga’hoole and redwall. he loved that shit. like i’m just imagining him trying to get his friends to larp warrior cats but none of them read it so they don’t know what he wants them to do, and he keeps assigning them warrior cat sonas and calling them by warrior cat names at school,, and he keeps calling god ‘starclan’ (which makes stan. Mad). am i projecting? that’s a secret, i’ll never tell.

steve was absolutely the Anime Kid in middle school. the amount of times he got yelled at for naruto running in the hallways was far too much. and his faves were fruits basket, nichijou, and k-on.

i’m so obviously projecting with my steve hcs here but i’m not gonna stop and i’m gonna say steve’s a trans guy. i know it makes no sense in canon, but canon’s dead it’s mine now. anyways he’s known since around the time he started middle school, and stan and francine love him and support him and i don’t have much else to say without getting Too Projecting, but yeah steve’s trans.

steve loved making flower crowns when he was little. he learned how to in his 2nd grade art class and just obsessed over it for a good few years and he was always making them for the fam. francine, stan, and hayley didn’t mind, they thought it was cute. i can see hayley learning to make them too and the two of them exchanging crowns,, and francine probably learned how to make some too during her college years and steve would always get really excited whenever she tried making some with him. poor roger though, once he moved in, steve took him as his new model and roger was forced to suffer through sitting in the hot sun while steve covered him in flowers.

steve never stopped singing. oh my god, stan loves him but he eventually reached a point where he started hiding their disney movies because steve would always loudly sing along and he just wanted some peace and quiet to work.

i like to imagine klaus has a sibling-esque relationship with pretty much the entire fam, but especially with steve. he was always pretty protective of him despite not really being able to do anything if he got hurt, and klaus was always there to talk to whenever steve needed it.

steve’s always liked to help francine bake. originally it was just so he could claim the mixer of batter before hayley could, but he quickly got really invested and he still loves helping out.

and in general for the both of them:

steve was the type of kid who bonked his head against the table a little and would spend the rest of the night crying while francine comforted him,, while hayley was the type of kid who could fly down the stairs and leave an actual dent in the wall and she’d still jump up assuring everyone ‘i’m okay!!’

hayley and steve used to play pokemon together growing up. hayley was more casually into it while steve was more obsessed (i like to imagine it was a special interest of his growing up). nowadays hayley doesn’t play it too often, but every now and then some big news will happen like new starters getting revealed, and steve will show her and hayley still can’t help but get at least a bit excited each time.

francine tried to do cute little family halloween costumes a few years. the idea of them doing an addams family group costume is precious.

francine always took them out for christmas photos every year. just dozens of photos of the four of them in the tackiest sweaters. they don’t do it as often anymore (or at least they don’t take as many photos outside of a few while they’re setting up the tree) but they still have framed photos of them that they set on the fireplace mantle every year.

listen …….. there were definitely multiple instances when they were really little of stan coming home from work ,, and steve and hayley excitedly tackling him,,,, and stan dramatically acting like he’s being attacked and losing ,,,

despite roger being a Dick, he was super protective of the two of them back in the day. either of them come home from school with a bruise, and roger’s already planning out an elaborate revenge scheme.

as for stan ,,

i’m adopting @stancine’s hc to say he was definitely a country boy. i kinda like to imagine his uncle on his mother’s side lived on a farm, and stan was really close to him growing up and it just sorta became monthly to take weekend trips to see him.

stan loved horses. he was definitely a Horse Kid, and his fave breeds are clydesdales and friesians.

sheep too!! one of his favorite yearly activities is during the springtime when his uncle helps him out with shearing the sheep.

also stan loved camping. he loved going out on walks through the woods and he especially loved fishing, but the second the sun went down he cowered in the back of the tent next to his mom because he was terrified of the noises coming from outside.

stan was a really quiet kid growing up. he sucked at properly standing up for himself, that’s kinda the reason he’s so harsh on steve for accepting mistreatment because he knows how hard it is and he doesn’t want his son to go through the same shit he did.

mother’s day was always one of his favorite holidays. he’d be obsessed with planning the whole day around trying to make it perfect for betty. making her breakfast in bed and saving up his allowance to buy her a gift, and he’d always make elaborate art projects for her every year.

stan . tried to learn how to ride a motorcycle in high school. it was this random obsession he got for no reason where he just really wanted one, but he always panicked whenever he got the chance to try one out. never even got his permit because he was so scared.

stan had a lot of pent-up anger as a kid that he never even recognized as anger until he got older. because of that he often broke his toys on accident because something wasn’t working correctly, and sometimes he’d snap at teachers on accident. obv he still had a problem with it but at least now he knows what’s going on and can at least try to work on dealing with it.

betty used to read to stan at night when he was really young. they didn’t have many books around so it was just stan listening to her read the same four dr. seuss books over and over. he didn’t mind though.

stan’s always loved writing and a good chunk of his free time was writing little short stories. he took a creative writing class in high school and he almost immediately became the teacher’s pet.

stan was a pretty lonely socially inept kid and i like to think growing up he tried getting a lot of his ‘advice’ on how to interact with others through television. one time he tried to get a girl’s attention by doing the ‘throwing pebbles at their window’ trope, but he fucked up and got too big a stone and threw it too hard, and just shattered this poor girl’s window. and stan spent the rest of the night crying in his room before caving and turning himself in.

i can see him being really into superheroes when he was younger. just him bounding around the house with a blanket for a cape, acting out random scenes he read out of the latest issue he bought.

stan was obv a dog kid. he’d often find himself going to the adoption shelter near his house just to see the dogs there whenever he was feeling down. and his fave breeds were golden retrievers, pit bulls, and shelties.

Lowest point was again, Trahearne’s death. It shook him to his core. His highest point wasn’t really one specific thing, but when Cas began to recover from the Nightmare. Every victory felt like a step towards healing for the both of them.

We both have a strong sense of morality and get angry when people cause unnecessary harm. We’re also both pretty stubborn, and shy. The main difference is Atlaki is a lot better with words than I am, I think xD

I made him just wanting a sylvari character, and I ended up with my main commander.

He wants to save Tyria.

finally, the purpose of the old builders (DELVING STRAIGHT INTO HC TERRITORY HERE)- in addition to having beings to interact with other than the villagers- were to be sort of microcosms of what romeo is/was to the mcsm universe as operator/op, but for individual worlds (bc the admins aren’t going to be in all of them at once, even if they can inhabit multiple bodies). the role of the operator is to be the creator and catalyst, to keep the universe/server running, to introduce new factors into it so that it can grow and become something better than it was before. (this also means that romeo literally cannot die/be killed, bc the universe is dependent on his existence.)

it’s not that worlds can’t take care of themselves, but in the event of potentially catastrophic threats emerging, it’d be good to have someone with admin powers lite to step in and stop things before things escalated n potentially spread to other worlds- tho only as a very very very last resort, bc otherwise how are u gonna farm champions?

I wanted to do the Kizuna countdown these guys made but I uh forgot. And I’m gonna forget again before friday because I tend to pass out after work and dinner. Sooo... I’m just gonna do it all right here right now, since it’s the last weekend before Kizuna!

First thoughts when Kizuna was announced:

“Holy shit they’re making another one!? How long will they try to squeeze every drop of nostalgia out of us? Because as for me I’m pretty sure that well is bottomless soooo can they just go on making new Adventure movies forever and ever?”

Expectations for Kizuna:

Based on what I’ve heard it kind of seems like the Digimon sequel we would have expected... but got Tri instead. I really enjoyed Tri, though it was far from perfect, so I’m not sure how to feel about Kizuna! But I’m really excited to see the kids as adults trying to balance adulting, their dreams, and the things they care about in their daily lives.

Expectations for the new characters:

New girl has a butterfly in her hair. She’s probably a harmless guide/informant type. New guy looks strict and apparently is rather blunt. But my guess is he’s not the big bad either... maybe distrusting of the digital world though. There’s probably more to both of these guys but Idc as usual, I only care about my children.

First Digimon memory:

Was a 10 year old Pokemon fan. All 10 year old Pokemon fans thought Digimon was a rip-off (how were we to know it was actually the older of the two, and already part of an established monster tradition in Japan!). We were also obsessed with Pogs and had fights over Pogs on the playground, which I think says a lot about our mental state.

My bro rented some Digimon VHS from Blockbuster (fuck yeah 1999!) and it was the whole Devimon saga. I scoffed and then sat down and watched with him. Then I was freaking HOOKED. I turned on the TV to see the new eps, but actually the show was starting back at reruns before moving on to the Myotismon saga at the time, so I got to watch the whole thing from start to finish in chronological order. I cried buckets when the final episode aired and mourned for weeks.

does this mean Adventure or 02? or including Tri? Anyway the answer will always be Adventure. That’s nostalgia central for me. A lot of it was pretty straightforward storytelling, other seasons did more creative stuff, but I think that’s to be expected - this series built the foundation for all that. And it’s great in its own way. What I particularly liked was always the whole “kids trying to figure shit out on their own” bit. For a kids’ show, they actually did it pretty well. Usually kids in that situation act just like really competent adults and don’t really struggle. Digimon certainly had that too, but it let the kids be crybabies, be selfish, be ignorant... it was really about their personal growth and that’s why they got to be kids as well.

Favorite Adventure Chosen Child (older 6):

Taichi!! Do I even need to explain myself? I will anyway. I didn’t care about him much when I was ten. For a long time I didn’t have a favorite character. It was Yamato for about thirty seconds, and then it was Takeru for about two years. After 02, I rewatched both seasons, and suddenly realized Taichi was Everything to me. I never really went for leader characters, never liked brash, brainless, bring-the-brawn types, or stern, distant ones, cold except when showing their passion for their mission.

But Taichi isn’t like either of those. He has bits of both - he can be brainless, and he’s pretty brash, but he’s calculating too. I liked that mix, but mainly I liked that he just seemed like a regular kid who the others were naturally drawn to as a leader because he was Mr. Get-shit-done. The older I get, the more I appreciate that proactive factor in people. Sometimes you just need someone to say the thing that’s on everyone’s minds. It can be scary. So I feel gratitude when someone takes the lead when I can’t. I think that’s how the other kids felt towards Taichi - for all his flaws, he kept them going, he didn’t let them waffle and miss their chances. I like him for a ton of other reasons too but I’ll end there for today!

Favorite 02 Chosen Child (younger 6):

Takeru. He was my original fav and I really really wanted to see him be awesome in 02. Unfortunately, he and Hikari didn’t really get much development. (They still made out better than all Frontier kids not named Kouji, though.) But I loved his anger issues and his facing his trauma. They should have done so much more. I really wanted him to bond with Ken over the fact that they’d both lost partners... I loved seeing older Takeru in Tri, the trauma issue came up again when he was the first one to realize his partner was infected. I’ve never been so moved by a crying plush doll lmao. Also his fashion sense, woot.

The runner-up is worth a mention since she wasn’t part of the original Adventure group and therefore could be considered my true 02 fav - Miyako. I loved the nerdy glasses girl because I was a nerdy glasses girl. I wasn’t as outspoken as Miyako, but I could go on and on about things I liked. I loved how pure and flawed she was and I loved her inner sense of right and wrong and her frankness. It’s refreshing when so many characters hide their true feelings. And I loved her and Hikari. Hikari and Miyako are the true girl friendship in those series. Sora and Mimi are nice but didn’t get the same level of development. Of course, I headcanon they were all awesome girlfriends.

Favorite Digimon partner:

This is an IMPOSSIBLE question, I love ALL OF THEM. I can’t pick one.

Gabumon: the way he and Yamato don’t need words, he just understands him, and when he doesn’t, always assume the best and gives him space. Their connection through music. And the way Gabumon will tease him especially over Taichi XD Gabumon keeps Yamato in line.

Gomamon: the way he is just what Jou needs, someone to keep him positive. I’m anxiety-prone myself and one reason I love my job working with young children is they make me see the bright things that I used to be able to see all the time when I was a child. I never really wanted to grow up. I think Gomamon is that for Jou, the child in him he doesn’t want to let go of, and doesn’t actually have to, because we take that part of us into our future.

Tentomon: because was he not MVP of the YEAR in Kokuhaku!?!?!?!?! That was amaaaaazing. Also he is easily the funniest Digimon and I love how he brings out the affectionate side of Koushirou. Again he’s exactly what Koushirou needs.

Patamon: Because he’s cuuuuute!!! and gives Takeru something to nurture and protect while also protecting him. Takeru, the youngest, who needed to be protected but also needed to grow, got a Digimon with those exact same qualities. PERFECT MATCH.

Hawkmon: I always loved him paired with Miyako. He was my favorite 02 partner. He was grumpy and irritable yet caring with Miyako, basically the compass she needed when she felt panicky. And he was COOL. Like he had the best evolutions lol. And as the only male/female partner set (I know Digimon don’t have true genders but this isn’t a made up thing either), there was a slightly different dynamic, like Miyako needed someone a bit more her opposite than other Chosen, to help push her in new directions.

Agumon: He gets honorable mention in particular because of Tri! But also because of 02. In Adventure, Taichi didn’t have a strong grasp of what it meant to raise his partner. He and Agumon saw each other as equals - which they are - but you do see a shift in that balance as Taichi gets older. Agumon is very powerful, but very child-like and thoughtless. In 02 and Tri, we see Taichi taking care of him much more like a big brother with a young brother. In Adventure, they just played together and wound each other up. What this means is Taichi’s grown up to be quite the caretaker, out of necessity - his partner is a bit high maintenance compared to the others! And caretaker isn’t usually the quality that jumps to mind when you think of “anime protagonist” or even leader. So I LOVE it. Also, Agumon struggles to express big concepts. But he can express really important things in simple ways, and Taichi needs that simplicity when his head gets all muddled with complexity. We definitely saw that in Tri. Agumon is kinda the Doraemon of Digimon, lol.

And I love literally all of the others and could go on about them for ages. But I’ll stop here. Will continue the countdown (er, I guess I can’t call it that when I’m doing it like this) later.

Admittedly this shifts a bit depending on the character I write, but a HUGE no on anyone who comes in guns blazing off the bat with how they only write bottoms.

  • Face claims ; Spent a huge chunk of my roleplaying years on tumblr (it was very over-the-top and flowery and weirdly formatted and grossly difficult to read, I know I know), so having a face for characters stuck with me. If you don’t have any of your own and want good resources to find a face, I’ve got some recommended sites I can throw at ya! Had a previous partner who had a character sheet format that I use now that’s simple but looks nice! Nyx if you’re out there don’t come for me for copping your format.

  • Depth & growth ; Not a fan of one-dimensional characters or characters who act the same from beginning to end! People change with experiences and the people around them, so this is to be expected. ESPECIALLY when doubling with a cast. I loooove complicated characters growing together.

  • Plotting & Worldbuilding ;  *For original settings/worlds! I’m not picky with this if we’re working with a canon setting, so if that’s what you’re looking for, we can skip this section. I run into loooads of folks who say they do this when they really don’t. We’re writing an entire world together, so there’s some degree of effort involved! I need specifics to use as a start-off point for the roleplay and a general outline for where the story’s going. RPs that are just random, spur of the moment with writing as we go on tend to burn out REALLY quickly for me. I know not a lot of people are into this, so I’m sorry about that.

  • Underage characters ; Total given that there will be NO sexual themes with underage characters, but in general as well! I only write adults.  20 +.

  • Single paragraphs ; I’m not too picky with a lot of length a lot of the time, I just don’t mesh well with people who don’t write more than that. Go ham. I like my responses meaty!

  • Limits ; Abuse, nonconsensual/sexual assault, pedophilia, incest (includes step-relations, adopted relations, and that figurative like if one character essentially raised another or they were raised as family), weird age gaps, BDSM, any kind of master/slave or dom/sub dynamics.

  As for the goods, I’ve laid ‘em all out for you here! Keep in mind that while all of these are fun on their own, I’m definitely the type of writer who’s into mixing and matching. Sci-fi apocalypse? Fantasy apocalypse? Fantasy supernatural stuff? Sci-fi fantasy? Sci-fi supernatural stuff? Supernatural apocalypse? Period settings? Literally whatever you could think of, I’ll give it a whirl. The particulars down below are just to get the ball rolling and catch some interest. Hit me up with whatever you’d like!

  APOCALYPSE: My bread and butter! Tense, harrowing, and especially gut-punching when it comes to how close people become to survive together in quiet moments of a world they used to know. I’m a big fan of zombies, so that’s my loose preference. I loved Black Summer on Netflix – the earlier episodes, at least, as well as The Last of Us. That’s the kind of vibe I favor with zombies/zombie-like creatures. But, ofc, an apocalypse can be anything! I love writing different takes on the genre since there’s so much to cover. Extinction event, pandemic, impact event, monsters/beasts, man-made, whatever. The more creative the apocalyptic setting, the better, so I’d love to bounce some ideas back and forth. Not too into a nuclear apocalypse setting, since that overlaps a lot with Fallout down below.

  SCI-FI: Sci-fi’s a bit tricky since it encompasses so many different takes, so I’m clearing the air to say anything’s good. Futuristic, space travel, time travel, space opera, AI, apocalyptic, cyberpunk – if it works in sci-fi, it works for me.

  FANTASY: High fantasy, low fantasy, medieval fantasy, urban fantasy, whatever. Love dragons, love magic, love weird fantasy flora, definitely love the classic prince/princess x knight or commoner schtick. You want prophecies? I’m game. You want elves? I’m game. You want steampunk? I’m game. You want none of that and wanna do something else? I’m game, baby. The possibilities are endless.

  SUPERNATURAL/PARANORMAL: Vampires and werewolves and demons, oh my! Can’t go wrong with horror, especially can’t go wrong with comedy-horror. I’m more of the type to prefer humans and supernatural beings together in a ragtag duo type of way as opposed to two supernatural beings, but anything’s cool in my book. Medieval/fantasy setting for a dark fairytale vibe, urban/modern supernatural beings slinking in the shadows outside of the human eye, supernatural sci-fi stuff, mysteries and danger lurking around every corner? Seriously, it’s a great genre! Any and everything is fantastic. I’ve got a loose concept of demons/the Underworld I’d like to get into since I’m struggling with the worldbuilding of it, so applying all that to a roleplay to give it a whirl sounds like a great way to work out the kinks. Plus, c’mon. Paranormal romance. What’s not to love there?

  PERCY JACKSON: I haven’t ever roleplaying this verse before, so this is completely new grounds for me. I’ve seen some fun takes on it, though! Scoured older ads but haven’t reached out to anyone because the posting time’s pretty old, but a couple ideas I’ve skimmed through sound fun. HP got a period take on it, so why not put that spin on PJ with a period setting rather than in modern times? Or just a regular modern setting. Y’know, keep it classy, keep it sexy, keep it fun! I’m definitely focused on life outside of camp, since all the characters will be adults. Life’s supposed to suck for demigods, so let’s get into that.

  POKEMON: Leaning a little more on the Detective Pikachu take, since it was fun to see a less anime/game-esque take on the pokemon world. The almost neo-noir style was sooooo cool, so I’ve got my sights set on leaning maybe a little more into the noir sensibilities and themes as an homage to the blending of genres between Pokemon and noir.  So a lot of themes of alienation, mystery, ambiguity, things along those lines. Definitely a weird mix with Pokemon but I think it can be fun.

  FALLOUT: Gonna be real with you guys, I’m a total newbie to Fallout and have only played F3 because it was the only game I found in my family storage for Xbox 360 and I don’t have enough money to get a gaming PC/Laptop to play the other games. I’m watching playthroughs, though! Dipping my toes in the water, so to speak. I’m into it! It’s a fun franchise from what I’ve played and seen so far, so I’d love to write OCs in this verse.

Gray x Natsu + Profile

If you had to change the pairing’s very first meeting, how would you change it? - I don’t think I would change it, it was a very believable meeting, especially considering how young they were, but I also love the idea of them starting off as close friends and the fighting becoming a later addition to their relationship (e.g. ‘The Change’ by Mnemosyne’s Elegy)

What song fits your pairing the most? - I think a song like Right Here by Ashes Remain would fit them the best, I think the tone and message of the song fits my vision of the pairing and it works in both a romantic and platonic way.

What is your favourite AU/prompt idea/trope for your pairing? - SOFT!!! These boys being soft and wholesome with each other is my everything and my jam! Just soft gays being soft for each other! I also really like the idea of modern AUs where they go on roadtrips or only have each other to rely on.

Do you prefer canon ideas or do you have your own headcanons for them? - What’s canon? Jk, I prefer headcanons, stuff like Gray being a Mum friend, or Natsu being really good with medicine, they’d still bicker in every incarnation, but it would be soft bickering.

Favourite canon moment of them? - Chapter 523: Will Fate Burn? I am 100% unashamed to admit that I cried right along with Natsu in this chapter. (I also really like what you could do with the implications of this, because I can’t imagine their rivalry recovering, but I can imagine their friendship recovering and that shift would be really interesting to explore).

Least favourite canon moment of them? - Chapters 503 - 507, it just hurt to watch them fight and try to kill each other, I knew it was coming but that didn’t stop me from dreading it, because there was so much betrayal and grief in that fight, THEY COLLAPSED OUT OF RELIEF when it was resolved, these boys aren’t your typical rivals, they wholeheartedly care about each other and things outside of their need for vengeance.

Favourite headcanon trope/idea? - For Natsu, my favourite headcanon is the aforementioned one about him being really good with medicine, specifically natural remedies. For Gray, one of my favourites is that he code-switches a lot between Fioran and Isvanian and that language is a form of self-expression for him, and that Isvanian is incredibly precious to him and his identity. For them as a couple, I love the headcanon of them still communicating through non-verbal means, different kisses meaning different things, soft little touches and looks that tell them everything they need to know.

Least favourite headcanon trope/idea? - For Natsu, the headcanon that he is noticeably younger than Gray is a pet peeve of mine (in my Wattpad days, a lot of the time Gray was 18 and Natsu was 17 and that always bugged me). For Gray, I don’t like the idea of him being the always dominant one, since it kind of takes away from Natsu’s character in my opinion. Between both of these headcanons, you can probably see the pattern, but I tend to avoid content where they aren’t equal in some form or another (this is also a minor pet peeve of mine in canon).

Favourite aspect of them/their relationship dynamics? - Their goofy but loving friendship, and how they kind of band together to stay safe from Erza and continue to protect each other. There is so much love between these two, I can’t!

Least favourite aspect of them/their relationship dynamics? (Can be headcanon) - Going back to the inequality, Natsu is noticeably stronger than Gray in canon, but I really hate when Gray is either put down because of that or is actively treated as weaker than Natsu. They are rivals and are meant to be equal, Gray is smarter and his abilities are more versatile than Natsu, whilst Natsu has a lot of raw strength. Ideally, they’d both be strong and considered equal not because they’re the same, but because they have different skill sets that compliment each other’s weaknesses, allowing them to grow as people and as fighters.

If they aren’t a canon pairing, how would you get them together? - I can’t imagine these two getting together in anything less than some dramatic near death moment. One of them is about to do something stupid, promptly scaring the other so their emotions are going crazy, the three words are spoke, the one doing something stupid probably does it anyway, and there’s probably some tears, more than a couple fists thrown and a kiss.

If you had to take them and plunk them into another fandom, what fandom would that be? Why? - Pokemon, because I know the Pokemon fandom best after Fairy Tail

How hard is it write/draw your pairing? Scale of 1-10. - 7 for me, they’re very emotive in my mind, and it’s all dramatic, but I don’t have many interesting ideas or angles that I’d like to explore. I love the softness, but that doesn’t have a lot of substance, I can throw angst and hurt/comfort at them, but it can get quite generic.

Is there a pairing that you think rivals them? - Not for me, they’re my OTP, TECHINICALLY, though I play it by ear because I change my mood so often.

Which character of the pairing do you like more? (Would you ever pair yourself with them?) - I prefer Gray and no one is surprised, he’s an incredibly deep character who gives so much and gets so little. He’s graceful and kind and sweet, and I would die for him. And I did once pair himself with me when I was younger, but not anymore, now I just admire him.

Which character of your pairing would be the one to break up with the other? Why? - They probably both would, I don’t see their relationship being smooth whatsoever and they’d probably break up over relatively small things only to get back together. They aren’t conventional or clean, but I find it undeniable that they do love each other, and I don’t think that would ever quite fade even if they did break.

Are they relatable as characters or as a pairing? - As characters, I think Gray is more relatable than Natsu because Natsu is so powerful and over the top, whereas Gray feels more grounded, but I think that in a relationship, their connection would be very unique.

Did you once/ever dislike one/both of them? - They can both annoy me, Natsu has been annoying me in Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest because he’s gotten so much focus and squeezed everyone else out, and Gray annoyed me back when I first read Avatar, but I’ve never disliked them. The closest I’ve come is when I was simply uninterested in Gray when I first found the series (but HOOOO boy did that change when Galuna Island attacked).

On an estimate, how many posts have you made about them? - I’d say that 15 posts are up right now, between Tumblr and AO3, but across my 4 years of being a fan? There’s probably 50+ things I’ve made for them.

What made you decide to ship them? - There was never a particular moment that made me ship them, it gradually happened for me, I slowly began to notice them more in the anime, and then woops, I searched up fanfiction and fanart.

Favorite genre for them? (Angst, fluff, etc.) - Fluff and hurt/comfort.

Why I Ship and love NatZa

A few days ago, my friend posted an essay on his introduction to NatZa, so I thought I would do the same. :O

To be honest, it was quite straightforward for the most part, if anything because Fairy Tail was one of the ‘newer’ anime I was checking out since I barely branched out. For a while I was just content loving Dragonball/Z/GT...and then Pokemon... YuGiOh... Inuyasha.... Naruto....Bleach... Full Metal Alchemist, I was pretty focused into gaming for a while as well so I never watched too much. So one fall semester I saw a lot of advertisement whenever I’d read a new manga chapter of Naruto Shippuden, and to be quite honest what really grabbed my attention was... Yeah, Erza. Erza and what Natsu :O I was convinced then so I decided to watch it. And... to be quite honest. I never liked Lucy. And a lot of people will always argue that I’m just hating on her for no reason but...she really annoyed me in the episodes. She was selfish, conceited... and she really cared only about her self. Don’t get me started on her complaining all the time @__@.... but yeah. I didn’t quite like Lucy one bit. xD Nevertheless Natsu kicked ass. XD

Continuing on, I finally met the girl that spurred my interest. Erza. It sounds a bit lame, but I wasn’t let down. I loved her character, I loved her magic. She is without a doubt a bad ass mage. So yeah, I would ‘obviously’ ship her with Natsu.

At first I understood that her interactions were more platonic with everyone, but I always caught on she had more attention placed on Natsu. I mean you could say, but for the most part in terms of Fairy Tail, he was the key one that a lot of focus was placed on.

Then the Phantom Lord arc happened. While a lot of it was Lucy focused, there were still a good amount of scenes that kept the fuel running of how concerned Erza and Natsu were for another, and even her putting his trust into him of how he’s the one to succeed her.

Afterwards. I just found it adorable how he went to take Erza’s place, wanting and needing to pay for something she hadn’t done. Their heart to heart talk in the jail cell and how, despite furious he was with her, was followed by how much she loved the effort or least action he put into ‘rescuing her’. Fastforward to the Tower of Heaven and...ohhh boy. It was a ride.Between Jellal quickly making my No.1 shit list and Natsu getting pissed off. I was enjoying it. Regardless of the reason, It wasn’t hard to see that Jellal was the one that tortured Erza the most, and why she was so sad all the time. The whole epic battle of Natsu fighting for her was amazing. Saving her from Jellal... the death Lacrima...the hugs....

But the biggest part of the arc that stands out is how both of them acknowledges they could never live in Fairy Tail without the other. Now however you want to take that but the two of them were willing to die for the other person. Erza was freed because Natsu defeated Jellal... Natsu, the one she always had to keep in line. So what did she do? Try to take the castle down with her to save the man that saved her. However, what did Natsu do? He tore through Etherion to pull her back out.

And even THIS. No matter where you look in any other segment of the chapter, you will never see this.This is the scene that ultimately changed the dynamic between Erza and Natsu. Erza, without her armor and was also the only one to ‘initiate’ any sort of embrace. 

No matter what anyone else says, this ultimately changed their relationship for the rest of the series.

From this point on the relationship the two became...more endearing as the series progressed. From The Oracion Seis arc when he was willing to throw his life away for the man Erza held affections for (Yeah, remember, he was willing to get thrown into the maximum security prison for protecting a terrorist just for Erza, something that takes actual balls).

So yeah, I rambled, but everything up to this point is what solidified by love for the ship. The bonds between them growing stronger, the unwavering trust between another. And it hadn’t stopped here, from this moment on the waves of passion just continued to burn from me. And it’s one of the biggest things I’ve loved about the ship.

Unlike the others, aside from a very few in the series like Gajeel x Levy, or Zeref x Mavis, there hadn’t been so much passion that was built between two people. It wasn’t about them trying to get in other people’s pants. Or trying to just cop a feel. They always built up on another.

Erza is so free and happy, she’s so relaxed because of how much of herself she can be. For the most part she was always so stiff and stern, but whenever she’s around Natsu all the feelings she hadn’t felt start rushing out.

And yeah, Natsu is ‘terrified’ of her, but he’s terrified of making her ‘angry’ you know... like everyone else. He isn’t afraid to do silly things with her like barrel surfing... eat gelato’s... hell, he’s nervous to even see her naked. 

My love of this ship was never about seeing them act like shy teenagers about them, because their interactions with another bolsters confidence and trust. Yeah, Erza is a ruckus, a pervert, but Natsu doesn’t care. Natsu gets rowdy, he starts stuff, but he knows not to go overboard. From the beginning these two were opposites on the spectrum. Natsu was rowdy and childish, Erza was stern and had to be more thoughtful in her plans, but as time went on, their intermingling allowed them to open up. Change. Take on characteristics about another. Yeah, Erza is still ‘mature’ and ‘thoughtful’ but she kicks back and lets herself be childish (hell, she’s FAIRY WOMAN xD) and yeah, Natsu is still rowdy and childish, but he’s more aware and thoughtful of everything around him. I never cared what happens to them in terms of canonicity, because to me they are one of the very few ‘ships’ in the whole show that you can tell has changed from the beginning to the end. To me, that’s what the best of the ships is about, growing together and adopting the characteristics of the person close to you. 

For them, they looked out for their happiness, and used it to propel and use it for the rest of the Guild as well.

I'm absolutely coming back at some point. Probably around when swsh drops. Maybe sooner because i'd'e probably been back sooner already but i've been off my meds for like two or three weeks and i've felt aeful as a result icve gotten nothing done and haven't felt like talking to anybody like at all i've had maybe 10 conversations this past few weeks and they haven't all been full conversations

But anyway what to do with loch because i'm absolutely bringing him back

(and ghetsis and zossie's been kinda noisy lately too in my head ad i've got one or two new muses. . . .)

But like. I think it's been.two? Three years since i played loch consistently. Like i think he's fuckin 30 now i have to double check his age but.

Loch is a muse who was meant to grow over time and develop with the assistance and interaction of other muses. To a certain degree who loch becomes is meant tp be a reflection of who he spends time with and his influences--most of which have encouraged him to develop thoughts, feelings, interests, and curiosities of his own and do things he's interested in and wants to.

But with my having had been away so long he hasn't had the opportunity to do that.

Nd loch is kind of region locked to a degree--i can certainly create reasons why he'd be elsewhere(because when a new region is introduced there tends to be a shift to characters being in there or around there where the party's at) and so on. And i have ideas already. But what the fuck was he up to in this whole gap.

I don't know how much of his developments and things i remember. He's certainly eager to be out and about again and i remember lots of things, but at the same time I worry i'm not remembering much at all. And yeah he could have easily changed a lot in two~three years.

Part of me is thinking of the ways i could proceed. I always have a separate verse for the actual canon ending of team skull but usually stick to one where skull doesn't end or comes back together after a while. Whichever one people default to varies but i default to the latter.

We were given a canonical reason everyone in the world is in Pasio--one that can be used to ignore time boundaries even which is cool.

But what am i gonna do with my boy lol

I'm thinking that. . .he got back into pokemon daycare stuff. Because that's what he loves to do--cross-breeding and training and teaching and stuff. And with a new mechanic that i've heard is coming to swsh i kinda like the idea of him taking up behavioral training--being somebody who can change your Pokémon's nature basically. His passion is in variations and crossbreeds(and team skull) as usual but y'know gotta do something on the side for the bills and all.

And maybe use that as a 'going to Galar' excuse--maybe he got a breeding commission or something or he's just studying new breeds and variants since the pokemon league committee or whoever's finally allowing people to visit galar more freely(that's usually my reasoning for 'this is a "new" region and these are "newly discovered"--it's a league matter that deals with pokemon habitat conservation and stuff, trying to reduce invasive species and disease and smuggling and the like.) And he scrounged up enough cash to make a whole trip to Galar(Raehela--whose name I may rescript as Lahela but ultimately her name remains a sort of Hawaiian variant of 'Rachel'--ofc is pissy because 'why spend web could just fly/teleport myself???') and now he's there

But. Idk. Ofc that says nothing of the usual 'team skull still exists' verse but that just becomes a matter of 'we're here for team skull reasons' or 'master guzma/big sister went so i'm going too' or whatever and is a bit easier to work over. . . .

Oh i'm really kinda eager to be back but. It'll happen when it happens. For now thank you for your patience and continued interest! (Because i still get new followers and i'm just like thank lmao)

But! Yeah!! Just know that!!! You are all in my thoughts and what i'm gonna do when i get back is in my thoughts and things are still shitty on my end but!!!!!! I still wanna be here!!!!!! So you'll see me back someday!!!!
