still absolutely baffled by the fact that when the untamed got popular on here you had people posting stuff like "i know it seems kind of weird and confusing for the first couple of episodes but don't worry, it picks up after that" like what the hell are you talking about. i loved the first couple of episodes. i was having the time of my life right from the opening monologue and it only got better from there.
#i love the insane drama of the opening monologue i love the fact that it drops the tragic cliff scene on you Immediately#like let's establish the fucking stakes here okay!!!!#Here are the important characters and Here is the lore you need to know.#okay now here is how this dude died and why everyone wanted to kill him. watch him die! now get to know him.#i love that you're thrust right into wwx's resurrection without a lot of context for where he is and what's going on#and what has changed during the time he's been away.#and shit gets spooky real fast in a way that i don't think the show really achieves again until yi city#bc those are moments when the audience is the most in the dark about what's happening and who's responsible.#i love that there's flashbacks but that the subtitles will fully lie to you about how much time has passed because who gives a shit#i have mixed feelings about the way the show timeline is arranged to be more chronological compared to the novel#like in some ways it works in some ways it doesn't?#but it definitely lulls you into a false sense of security about where this is all gonna end up until you remember. OH YEAH#this is gonna be a tragedy! until it isn't.

speaking of terraria ive spent the last few days grinding my way through it for the first time in i think like over two years and i forgot. so much but also im doing SO much better than before
#i put it in expert mode too and ive only ever done normal previously so its. wild ive gotten as far as i have as fast as i have#im already in hardmode#AND IM ON CONSOLE DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH THESE CONTROLS SUCK ASS ON CONSOLE#it was hard enough on pc but now it's just silly#on pc i was a yoyo main but thats basically impossible on console so now im sword as fuck#nights edge my beloved 💖#or for some bosses im ranged and just. pray i can sort of aim good lmao#some shining day ill get a good gun and chlorophyte bullets and then wont have to think about it at all#but as is theres abt a 0% chance of me beating the mechs so we're back to grinding for now#plus i got harpy wings literally like an hour into hardmode so uhhhhh pretty fuckin good!!#i have gotten. so much better at dodging the wyverns than i ever was before#i think before i just avoided them until i was powerful enough to immediately kill them but this time i was like.#give me your fucking souls of flight right now i need wings NOW#and the harpies were the easiest thing for me to grind#its a 1/200 chance to drop‚ i think mine took like 350 to drop but thats still not bad#i just slapped down a space platform with a blue candle and called it a day#the fully surrounding damage from nights edge is so fuckin crucial though dude ive gotten swords that are technically higher damage already#but they just Cannot Compete with me being able to just. tbh snooping on my ex doesnt even hurt bc of him directly atp- im glad he's getting better and happier. what hurts is seeing ppl who claimed that no matter what they'd be there for us both who chose him bc he played victim so well
#like these ppl literally would be like omg we need to get to know each otehr better#and then when i would try to spend quality time with them he would insert himself or 'suddenly' have a crisis#and i would have to do damage control#to the point i snapped#and the first 2 times i snapped were angry and violent (suicide attempt and kicking him out almost 1y apart) i wont deny it#but like i immediately became the bad guy#nevermind all the shit he did to me! they immediately believed him cause he's a poor little white guy who is easy to infantilize#honestly this is the msot ive talked abt this here cause im STILL scared of him seeing my accts#i dont even think he'd do much atp but like the fact that i had to erase my ENTIRE online self to get away from him fully#cause the first time i didnt and he made Multiple accts to get me back#and preyed on the fact im a little gullible and was suffering from extreme paranoia#and its like..... I think my favorite version of Dead on Main is when Danny actually isn't hot. Not like, 'ugly, but literally just the most average looking Some Guy dude while Jason is a solid 11.
Nobody judges Jason exactly, but they are very 'why', especially when Danny just kinda, does his cryptid shit in the weirdest dorkiest way possible. He glitches out both himself and the cameras and his eyes glow with the fangies in front of people and then immediately trips. His extremely cringe one liners based off the opponent of the day (Danny and mr freeze are forcibly separated after they spent a six hour long pun-off). Danny will say the single most out of pocket most traumatic thing you've ever heard in your life that's somehow still really fucking funny and is he joking??? You never know. And he's not even hot or sexy in a dangerous vampire way he acts like bigfoot but he got caught on camera with his bare ass hanging out and a fish in his mouth.
Everyone is So Confused. Even the batfam and the Outlaws who know Jason is also kind of a huge dork himself are very 'that one? really?'. And every time Danny walks in to talk to Jason about killing the scary bug in his room or 'do you wanna go to bat/nasty burger and watch me eat my weight in fries' or 'hey how much blood is a human supposed to be able to consume before it gets weird?' with zero context and Jason always replies 'on god I need to fuck him'.
