Forgetting AU | angst , happy end, WIP (will build in more detail in the future)

His 3rd shidi and 2nd shimei who had a habit of reading all the new books on love and lore that the peddlers sold in Yunmeng market, were talking about diseases for a change that day. To be more precise, Wei Wuxian walked in on 2nd shimei sobbing like the world was ending and 3rd shidi in a despair trying his best to comfort her.

"Aiya, Shidi what did you do to make her cry this hard?" Of course Wei Wuxian poked his nose because he was curious that way. "You know good gentlemen never make maidens cry!" 

"I did nothing, Da-shixiong!" 3rd Shidi insisted sounding offended. "She got upset reading about the forgetting disease because she thought she would forget me!"

"The forgetting disease?" Intrigue sparked, Wei Wuxian reached out for the abandoned booklet even as his juniors bickered and read through the page that had it's corners blotted from the tears 2nd Shimei had shed.

`A disease where one would forget every little thing about the one they love if the love is not returned. If the love is requited before every thread of memory is lost, the person's memories could come back. If the love is requited only once every single thread has been forgotten, it would not make a difference.`

"Goodness, the things kids read these days!" Wei Wuxian laughed and set aside the book to console his juniors and solve the fight.

Despite his initial dismissal, Wei Wuxian couldn't stop thinking about the little booklet and its passage on that strange disease. As with everything, he asked Jiang Cheng about his opinion and merely received an answer in the form of a characteristic scoff. "Since when have you begun indulging in children's fairytales again? Quit wasting time, mom's mad at you for missing training!"

"Crap!" Wei Wuxian exclaimed. "Help me hide! Please A-Cheng!"

The booklet and it's disease was pushed to the back of the mind for the day and more to come.

And then it happened. It started with the smallest of things that could be easily dismissed for the usual lapse in memory and Wei Wuxian didn't suspect anything out of the ordinary.

"Ohh! You have a funny freckle on the bridge of your nose!" He cackled one day, poking at the mentioned element and Jiang Cheng rolled his eyes in exasperation. 

"Didn't you tease me with it like three years ago already?? Why are you acting like you're noticing it only now?"

That made Wei Wuxian's finger twitch. "Have I though?"

"You really need to do something about your memory!" Jiang Cheng shoved him good heartedly before walking away. "It's getting worse! Last time you even forgot I like my lotus seeds toasted!"

A brief flash of discomfort went through him but Wei Wuxian dismissed it and ran after Jiang Cheng to sling an arm around his shoulders again. "Aiya, spare me! You know how these little things slip from my mind sometimes! Why are you so harsh? Be nicer to me Chengcheng!"

"You wish!" _____ Wei Wuxian didn't remember if Jiang Cheng was good with dogs. He watched, from the top of the tree in some amount of awe as Jiang Cheng easily shooed away that hulking monster of a dog and then called to him to come down.

"Thanks!" He chirped as he jumped down the tree. "That was awesome! Since when were you so good at dealing with dogs?"

Jiang Cheng gave him the strangest look, perhaps with a tinge of pain. Maybe anger. "Wei Wuxian what the fuck are you talking about?"

Wei Wuxian stopped then, suddenly bothered. Something felt wrong. He began questioning if this memory loss was really his usual bad memory acting up?

There was....a history between him and Jiang Cheng related to dogs, right? An important one. So....how had he--

He sought out 2nd Shimei and borrowed her book. After he was done reading it, he went out to feverishly buy every other book he could find on the subject. There was a part of him that + couldn't believe he was in love with Jiang Cheng. What was being in love supposed to be even like? But now....the signs were there right? And the terror of forgetting bit by bit every day became a part of him, killing the cheerful child in him early on.

He could not forget. 

He refused to forget. Wei Wuxian would figure something out.

(He refused to think of the sting that went through him at the knowledge that he loved Jiang Cheng and Jiang Cheng didn't love him back. It shouldn't have been surprising yet it still....)

Come Gusu, he trailed after Lan Wangji, finding something about the man familiar to someone he didn't know how to put a name on. And when Nie Huaisang whined to him (perhaps with a silent indirect reprimand too) about him spending too little time with him and Jiang-xiong, Wei Wuxian was initially left confused on whether Jiang Cheng and him had ever been friends at all before being thunderstruck by remembrance and horror.

"Lan Zhan, I need to ask for a favour," Wei Wuxian's tone was grave that day as he talked to the 2nd Jade. Lan Wangji turned to him in + full attention, having noticed the unusual gravity. "Does the Library Pavilion have any books on diseases or afflictions close to diseases?"

"The Forbidden Section may have some," Lan Wangji answered, eyebrows furrowed. It was a strange question to ask no doubt. "However it is open to only the members of Gusu Lan. I cannot take you there."

"Please? Just this one time?" Perhaps Wei Wuxian was desperate enough to beg. Perhaps Lan Wangji saw the urgency and the ice in his eyes melted a little. "It's important and I don't think I have time to waste"

"I cannot take you there," Lan Wangji repeated slowly and Wei Wuxian felt his heart burst in irrational anger. He almost retorted with something scathing before Lan Wangji continued speaking. "But if it is truly of such importance, I can bring back some books." _____

Wei Wuxian took to writing down all the precious memories he still had with his Jiang Cheng before he forgot them all. Alongside, he wrote his first research papers, trying to find a solution to reverse the curse because every book he'd read offered none.

He wouldn't forget.

He would force himself to remember.

Lotus Pier burnt.

Jiang Cheng lost his core and the righteous fury Wei Wuxian felt was something he clung to. His love for his shidi would burn bright through his anger if not his memories. Wei Wuxian gave away his core and soothed himself saying that it was a good decision. If....someday he forgot Jiang Cheng completely then his core would still remember.

The war raged on. Wei Wuxian came back, a specter of his old self, the only memories of Jiang Cheng still in him that of the person's name and looks+ and the fact that he loved him. He no longer remembered the childhood they had once shared.

And as the war continued...Wei Wuxian forgot he'd been fighting for Jiang Cheng and fought instead merely for the war to end.

The papers gathered dust, writings lessening with every day. Memories were ashes to the wind and the wind blew them away from Wei Wuxian's direction.

He grew irritable, bad tempered - especially when his Sect Leader continued to reprimand him in a tone that set them as familiar before Wei Wuxian would lash back and cause hurt to line the man's eyes. In some days, his memory of who Jiang Cheng truly was to him would return in patches and Wei Wuxian would wallow in deep regret for hurting the man over and over again. In other days, he would remember nothing - galivanting around with false bravado and an emptiness in his heart he could never explain.

When he confronted Jin Guangshan and Jin Zixun for the location of the Wens and they accused him for not respecting Jiang Cheng’s authority enough, Wei Wuxian felt genuine confusion when he turned to ask who that was and they responded with incredulous looks. He left with his heart tied in a complicated knot of shame and frustration as his memory of who Jiang Cheng was flickered once again.

He decided to defect. The way he was already, with his memory more gone than intact, he would only cause trouble for Jiang Cheng and the sect. His decision made sense to him and yet Jiang Cheng screamed and yelled at him for it. They fought, stabbed, cursed and finally broke all ties. Jiang Cheng left with tears swimming in his eyes and Wei Wuxian cried when Wen Qing fixed his wound.

"I'm forgetting him," he sobbed out loud for perhaps the first ever time. "I'm forgetting him, Wen Qing, I don't want to! I don't want to!"

But forget he did, and by the time he'd offended and killed enough people for the world to finally decree that they couldn't let him live anymore, Wei Wuxian no longer remembered who Jiang Cheng was. He no longer remembered what happiness spending in the Jiang family had been like and he no longer remembered he'd damned himself to this Fate all out of love.

Before the siege burnt everything to the ground, and before the Qi deviation took him, Wei Wuxian heard footsteps echo into his cave and gathered the last strands of resentful energy even if it accelerated his deviation to send it in a strike. A strangely familiar sword glare intercepted it and a man in purple walked in - a haggard and broken look gracing his otherwise regal figure.

"Do you really hate me this much, Wei Wuxian?" his voice was hoarse "That not only you walked away, broke all contact and killed my A-Jie but you also pretend that you don't know me? What have I done to you to warrant treatment like this?"

"Have we met before?" Wei Wuxian asked softly, too tired to feel anything but the inexplicable pain that filled the hollow of his chest at the sight of the man. "I've not seen your face before so they must've gathered new sects for the siege."

The man closed his eyes and shuddered. "Wei Wuxian," his voice shook as he took the name and much to Wei Wuxian's surprise, tears spilled from his eyes. "Do you truly not remember me?"

"I'm sorry," Wei Wuxian felt the pain in his chest grow. They were....supposed to be enemies and yet the man wasn't making a move to attack. Instead he stood with clenched fists and pure brokenness written in his features, like Wei Wuxian had taken a cudgel and smashed his heart to pieces. "Were we acquaintances?"

The man scoffed which turned into a sob. "I no longer know what I was to you."

"Were you the one I loved then?" Wei Wuxian asked suddenly and made the man lift his head in shock. He couldn't exactly call it memory but...the pain in his chest felt familiar. "If...if you were then it might explain why I forgot." 

"What do you mean?"

"My first research papers. I came across them while destroying the...rest of it," Wei Wuxian said, talking more to himself than his companion. "They weren't about any cultivation techniques but about some forgetting disease. I was so confused when I found them. But I guess I always knew I was about to forget and wanted to change it. Pity it's still incomplete."

He didn't pay attention to the man in front of him as he spoke and hence failed to notice the spark of recognition that went through his eyes. Like he remembered something Wei Wuxian didn't.

"What's your name?" Wei Wuxian asked all of a sudden, making the other man jolt and then tear up some more.

"Jiang Cheng," he choked out.

And as Wei Wuxian tried repeating the name, he realized it did feel familiar on his tongue. His lips lifted into a regretful smile. "I guess it's just one of those many tales where someone loved a person and it wasn't mutual, instead it also ended up making me forget."

It was a simple straightforward sentence and yet the man, Jiang Cheng flinched like he'd been slapped.

"That's not true!" He cried out, red rimmed eyes blazing in desperation and regret. "That's not true! Even I..."

"Jiang Cheng," Wei Wuxian called, liking the name on his tongue. His heart still felt empty but he felt like maybe he could try one final time to smile. "The barriers around here have been broken so the siege force has finally reached me. I'll have to summon more corpses."

Jiang Cheng clutched on his sword and glared fiercely. "I'm taking you back with me."

Wei Wuxian shook his head still with the soft smile and held out his hand. With a sudden blast he sent the other man flying back and then threw a barrier talisman between them. "You can't save me."

"What the fuck are you doing?!" Jiang Cheng roared desperately as his fist pounded against the invisible barrier. "Wei Wuxian, let me in!"

"I'm Qi deviating," Wei Wuxian declared instead. He formed a hand seal for a final time with tears in his eyes. "And I don't want to hurt you."

He closed his eyes to the screaming man, ignoring the tears and pain in his heart. "Jiang Cheng....I'm sorry."

There was a flash of blinding light and then eternal+ darkness. With the memories and body dispersed, only his proof of love and the one he loved remained. ________

It felt like forever, floating in a confusing loop of dreams and nightmares, unaware of space and time. And then Wei Wuxian opened his eyes to life again. _________

He expected to have stayed dead and shunned by the world, not be given an unexpected second leash AND a new mystery to solve. Which had led him to Dafan Shan. Which then led him to beefing with a stuck up Jin teenager against his wishes.

"I'm his uncle, any last words?" 

The voice sounded strangely familiar and when Wei Wuxian turned to face who had spoken, he knew why.

"Oh, it's you," he couldn't help but blurt out. It wasn't a good idea to let his true identity be known to people from his past, Wei Wuxian knew that objectively. But he remembered how this man had been the last one to weep for him before he'd died. Made quite an impression on him, really. Somehow that made Wei Wuxian not afraid of him. "Well, what do you know? It's a relief to see at least one face who wouldn't want to kill me...I hope."

The man's eye twitched. "I'm sorry?"

"Ah, no, I should be the one sorry," Wei Wuxian said sheepishly, suddenly embarrassed. "I assumed you'd remember me but I'd forgotten my body is no longer the same now. Oh wow, now I really do sound like a lunatic."

"Jiujiu, what's wrong with him?" Jin Ling couldn't help but exclaim but his uncle paid no attention, instead opting to stare at Wei Wuxian intensely.

"Who exactly are you?"

"Aiya, it doesn't matter," Wei Wuxian waved his hand and gave a bow. "If this is your nephew, I apologize for fighting with him. I merely acted out of self defence and really mean no harm."

"You-- you destroyed my nets!"

"Well, you had PEOPLE trapped in them."

"Jin Ling, shut up for once," the man snapped and then turned to Wei Wuxian again. "Do you....know who I am?"

"Well, I can't say I remember everything," Wei Wuxian's lips twitched in a sad smile. "But you're Jiang Cheng, aren't you?"

When the man didn't respond, for the most fearful moment Wei Wuxian thought he'd perhaps mistaken him for someone else. Hastily, he bowed and turned to go. "Actually, never mind, I should--"

"Are you.....are you Wei Wuxian?"

Wei Wuxian stopped at that, strange relief flooding his heart. He hadn't known how scared he was, for some reason, that this man had forgotten him. He let out a laugh of forced cheer. "Well, now! You do remember! Wait but you can't tell it to anyone else though. It seems people still want to kill me so I go by Mo Xuanyu now-- oof!"

Jiang Cheng had suddenly rushed forward and hugged him, making him almost stumble and fall. Wei Wuxian's eyes widened as the man shuddered even through the embrace. "You....you remembered me. You remembered my name...."

"Regretfully, I remember only that day," Wei Wuxian felt his heart soften as he awkwardly patted the other on his back. "But yeah.....I haven't forgotten your name."

"That's enough," Jiang Cheng’s voice shook. "That's....that's more than enough. I've been...I've been wanting to talk to you. Tell you I'm sorry....and please come back."

"Well! You don't need to apologize! I don't remember any of your wrongdoings hahaha!" Wei Wuxian laughed and finally hugged back. His eyes stung for the strangest reason and his chest felt full despite the pain. "Really....you don't have to apologize."

Jiang Cheng shook his head, unable to speak, and just clung on to him. It made Wei Wuxian fond in a way that seemed old - familiar.

"Hey," he began, hesitantly, heart+ thudding and leaping like he was about to take a dive. "You're the one I've loved....right?"

Jiang Cheng’s hug tightened even as he took a shaky breath. After a bout of hesitation, his tear-choked soft voice reached Wei Wuxian’s ears. "Can you.....can you love me again?"

"Yeah," the answer fell out so naturally that Wei Wuxian couldn't even question it. His eyes burned and tears fell at the same time his lips rose in a smile. He was sure now, so sure for someone who didn't remember. This was the man he'd once loved. This was the man he would love again. "Yeah...yeah, I think...I think I can."

I thought I would have some fun! Since IkeGen’s 2nd anniversary is just around the corner, and mostly likely the next route would of Kagetoki. I was just scrolling through twitter to pass time,(because that’s my life now, since the lockdown started again!) I found something interesting!

Yeah! I missed it. So I decided to translate it now. So basically, this is the reward for making Kagetoki, the 9th best man in the Genjiden 1st anniversary election. Its called ‘Kagetoki Kagekini News.’ The newscaster, Kagetoki, will be reporting on the events of the Genji Den. So let’s start!!!!

Breaking News!! Suspect Yoshitsune and two others have been detained by a certain Karasu Tengu!

Kagetoki: “The suspects Minamoto no Yoshitsune, Nasu no Yoichi, and Musashibo Benkei have been taken into custody by a certain Karasu Tengu, the victim. The three are suspected of breaking the victim's incense burner and were planning to cover up the crime. Let us hope for a swift and severe punishment.”

Yoshitsune: "There is no room for apologies. I'm sorry, Kurama. I had no idea that an incense burner was so fragile. --Instead, let me prepare a new shiny object that you like. I don't know if I have the discernment to choose such a thing.”

Yoichi: "Hey, how come they even know that we were trying cover-up? Where did you see it?　No, actually I feel bad too. I'm sure you'll be happy to know that I'm not the only one. ......But I underestimated Yoshitsune-sama's honesty.”

Benkei: “ Yoshitsune-sama is pure and innocent. More importantly, Kagetoki, your desire for severe punishment is entirely your own personal wish!　You should be more impartial in your reporting. ...and Kurama. I'm sorry. I'll make you some tasty snacks, so please forgive us for now.”

Kurama: "You thought you could pull the wool over my eyes, you fool. I will have that new shiny object and those delicious sake and snacks. But if it's not to my liking, you'll have to know that I won't let you get away with it. ...First of all, Sueharu, bring me a list of the items you're offering.”

Sueharu: "Yes, yes, you're a product expert, aren't you? If you ask me, I'll prepare first-class products for you (at first-class prices, of course.) Oh, you're ordering everything from here to here?　That's Yoshitsune-sama and Kurama!　--Thank you again for everything.”

Breaking News!!! The Two Minamoto brothers has been arrested. An epic sibling rivalry led to an explosion!

Kagetoki: "Suspects Minamoto no Yoritomo and Minamoto no Yoshitsune have been arrested. According to eyewitnesses, the two were staring at each other with their swords drawn when suddenly a vacant house in the vicinity exploded and scattered. They are suspected to be related. ...Is this a case of involvement due to an epic sibling quarrel?”

Yoshitsune: "I didn't expect to be arrested every day. But this time I plead not guilty. It is true that I myself and Yoritomo-sama were pointing swords at each other, but the explosion that followed is beyond my knowledge. ...And please don't call it a brotherly quarrel.”

Yoritomo: "You've got some nerve arresting me here. But I'm not guilty either. I ran into Yoshitsune, who was scouting in Kamakura, and I drew my sword. I saw a black shadow just before the house was blown up. I think we should investigate him first...... And don't call it a sibling rivalry.”

Shigehira: "--and why is Yoritomo-sama being arrested!　I'm not sure what to make of this, but I'm sure it's something that's going to be a big deal for the Shogunate.  ...... A mysterious black shadow, then. I'm sure you'll be happy to know that I'm not the only one who has a problem with this.”

Morinaga: "What is this feeling? When I heard that Yoritomo-sama was arrested for fighting with his brother, I naturally smiled. ...Oh, I'm sorry, can you please edit out that sentence?　I think Yoritomo-sama is going to say something to me. And I understand about the investigation. Let's do our best, Shigehira.”

Further News. The real perpetrator of the explosion has been arrested.

Kagetoki: "Continuing news. The real culprit in the bombing of the vacant house yesterday has been arrested. The suspect is Abe no Yasuchika, as most of us expected. He is suspected of releasing demons throughout Kamakura. The suspect made a joking statement, saying that he had no ill will toward the demons.”

Yasuchika: "Oh no, I really didn't mean to offend you.　I was just going for a light walk and because the newly captured demon wanted to play outside. But when I saw Yoritomo-sama and Yoshitsune-sama having a sibling quarrel, I got scared and accidentally popped him!”

Ibuki: "You accidentally popped it. ...That looks like a pretty interesting toy. Hey Yasuchika, let me borrow that demon. You need a walk, don't you?　I'll take you out somewhere more exciting and with a better view.”

Akihito: "Oh dear. I don't know what kind of "exciting" walk we'll have if Ibuki is in charge. Anyway, Kagetoki, what do you mean most of us were right?　Yasuchika is such a good and honest boy. ...You think so too, don't you?”

Tamamo: "Kagetoki, you're completely right about this. If something happens, it's usually Yasuchika's or Ibuki's fault, let's just say that. ...Hmm?　You think I'm going to cause a scene?　I don't think so. Whenever I mess with you, it's always out of love, right?”

Latest News!! Kajiwara Kagetoki, the suspect has been caught red-handed. .....Huh?

Kagetoki: "Is this the last news? Well, let's end with a spectacular revelation. In fact, Yoritomo-sama looks like a *beep*, Shigehira is a *beep*, and Morinaga is a *beep*, excuse me, there seems to be some kind of regulated sound. And then came the breaking news. The suspect, Kajiwara Kagetoki, has been arrested. ...Huh?”

Kagetoki: "It seems that I am suspected of leaking confidential information. It is a shame that I am a whistleblower for the Shogunate. I am indeed a member of the Shogunate, but in this moment, I am a man who lives to report the truth. Don't worry, I will keep my revelations to a level that will avoid social extermination.”

Shigehira: "Nothing is safe!　Such an embarrassing secret of mine... I mean, why did Kagetoki-san know about that thing in the first place?　I'm afraid of his normal information gathering ability. Up until now, I've been able to rely on him because he's on my side, but I can't believe how troublesome he'll be if someone gets in his way...”

Yoichi: "Wow, this is interesting. I'd like to say ......, but I'm wondering when the target will turn on us. I'm sorry for Shigehira, but I'll pray that he doesn't get caught up in this. I'm sure he'll be happy to hear that.”

Yoritomo: "I told you to go make one last splash, but here you are. Now you are angry that Morinaga touched the glasses you dropped this morning with his bare hands and put his fingerprints on them. I'll forgive you if you want to take revenge on Morinaga personally. The only thing I don't understand is why you revealed it to me first.”

Morinaga: "Isn't it because Yoritomo-sama blew it out loud when I picked up his glasses?　But it seems that I was lucky enough to avoid being exposed. Oh, by the way, Kagetoki, here's an apology for you. Here are your new glasses!”

Kagetoki: "I will also request additional precious books from the Song Dynasty for Morinaga. ...Well, I guess it's time for me to finish. If my dog can wait properly, the news may come back to me again someday. You can wait until then, right?　--I'll see you back here someday.”

You sat in Tara's kitchen just looking around. It was an open concept, so it gave you a view into her dining and living room as well. Her place, wasn't lavish by any means, not like Tyler's or Jamie's, but it did speak of someone that was well off or at least scamming enough money off of people to buy nice things. The place was neat and meticulous, nothing was out of place; which seemed odd for someone with a one and half-year-old. There should be toys lying around and a baby gate on the stairs, yet none of those things seemed to be anywhere.

 What was interesting, was that the prosthetic maternity belly she'd had on the other day lying on one of the dining room chairs. "What do you have that for?" You blurted out before you could even think of what you were saying.

 "Um…oh…I don't know what you mean. Do you need water or something? Should I call an ambulance?"

 Oh shit, you forgot you were supposed to be in pain. "Oooo," you moaned slightly. "I feel like it's getting a little better resting, and you know focusing on other things. Which is why I'm trying to figure out about that baby belly." You groaned again, hoping she would answer and help take your mind off of things.

 "Oh…um…that old thing. You see…I wanted to be an actress…Yeah, that's it." She said basically giving away that she was making this up as she went. "I had this role a long time ago, that I needed for it, and well…now a friend wants to borrow it. So I have it out for her."

 It would've been a plausible excuse had you not already seen her scamming that man the other day or the fact that she'd stammered her way through that excuse. You also had to wonder if the 'friend' was Kathleen. "Oh wow, being a mom must have really put a damper on things."

 "Yeah, it's really set my career back." She rattled off more easily this time as she settled into the lie. "There's just no time you know."

 You really weren't sure if she was asking or not. "I get where you're coming from. I have no idea how I'm going to do it. You know with leaving Tyler and all." She nodded, so you continued. "Like how do you keep this place spotless? I really need to know your secret. My place is a mess since I haven't felt like unpacking. I can't imagine what it'll be like with the babies."

 "Oh…well…you just have to do it when you can." She paused when you cocked your head to the side looking for more of an explanation. "I'm just a really active person I guess."

 You knitted your brows together because no mother was that active to have all her baby's stuff put away. Tara had given you enough information. Granted, you had no physical evidence but it was enough to go to Tyler with your suspicions. "I wish I had your stamina." You got up then. "Thanks for letting me sit down; I really think I just overdid it. I feel much better. I won't trouble you anymore. I know you were on your way out."

 "Oh, it was no bother. I'm glad your feeling better." She walked you out to the door, following you out.

 "So, I guess I'll see you around the neighborhood sometime then?"

 "Oh…uh yeah. I'm sure we will."

 The two of you walked to the end of the drive. "Thanks again. Maybe we can exchange numbers and get together. I'd love to meet Christopher sometime. You know get some real baby experience. It's been a while."

 "Yeah, next time I see you." She said opening the car and getting in. "I'm really late right now." You moved out of the way as she backed out of the drive and waved goodbye. You rolled your eyes as you made your way back to your vehicle which was parked out of sight. You knew she'd never exchange numbers with you, mainly because there was no Christopher to meet.

 By the time you got to the car, you knew that you had to tell Tyler what was going on, but you also knew that Jamie would be upset with you for doing it. You hated that the thought crossed your mind, but you knew that you had to meet Tyler without Jamie knowing. The problem was how. Jamie was practically attached to your hip when he was home and after being on the road this long you assumed it was going to be worse. The only thing you could do was head to Tyler's house and wait for him to get home.

 You shot a quick text off to Jamie, saying that you were out doing some shopping for the baby and would be home shortly; then you headed over to wait for Tyler. You parked in the driveway, just scrolling through emails when one caught your eye. It was from the paternity testing site that you'd used. You didn't have time to open it though, for Tyler's car pulled in beside you. He glared over at you through the window, before you both got out. "What are you doing here (Y/N)? I thought you never wanted to see me again."

 "We have to talk Tyler."

 "Apparently, we'll be doing that through our lawyers from now on." He slammed the car door shut with such force it made you jump.

 "Look this isn't about us." He started to walk away, so you blurted out. "It's about Christopher." That made him stop.

 "How do you…I mean…what…" He gave up then, you could see it on his face. "You better come in."

 You trailed him inside. The dogs greeting you like they hadn't seen you in months instead of days. Though you wanted to give them love and attention, now was not the time. Tyler reached into the fridge and grabbed a beer, cracking it open and taking a long swig out of it. "Do you want anything?"

 "Just a bottle of water please." You took a seat at the island like you had so many times.

 "So how do you know about him?" It was a simple question yet such a complex answer.

 "Remember when I said that the first sonogram was canceled." He nodded. "Well, I lied."

 "Jesus, (Y/N), you were shutting me out way back then?"

 "It's not like that. I hadn't planned on it, but I saw you in the parking lot with Tara and I recognized her." He winced, yet you could see him understanding why you'd cut him out of the appointment. "Once you left, I ran to talk to her. She told me that she'd had your child and you paid her to keep quiet."

 "Listen, I can explain."

 "No Tyler there's more, let me finish." He stayed mum then. "I was hurt and angry, and if I'm being honest; I still am, but we can deal with that later." The questioning glance he shot you made you keep going. "Other things started to not add up. I saw Tara with Kathleen, and then I ran into them at the coffee shop." You could see the news that the two knew each other, was something he didn't know. "Something they said, it just didn't sit right with me." This was the part you knew he wasn't going to like. "So while you were gone, I broke into your place." You ducked your head kind of sheepishly at your actions and waited for him to yell at you.

 He didn't. "Look (Y/N), I don't care that you were here. This place was always meant to be ours, but I have a feeling there's more than just that."

 "Oh, there is." You added quickly changing the subject back to the matter at hand. "I found the paternity papers. You know the ones Tara gave you and the ones Kathleen blackmailed you with."

 "You mean in the safe?" He was mad now, but you had a feeling it was more about the engagement ring that was in there and not you breaking in to find the documents.

 "Um…yeah. But look, Ty, the papers don't match." You pulled out your phone and brought up the photos. "There's a slight difference. See right here the fonts are off." He peered at the pictures, squinting in an effort to notice the subtle difference. "And here, the address is misspelled. I know it's hard to tell flipping back and forth, but if you put them side by side." He took off down the hall to his bedroom and you followed. It wasn't long before he had the documents out, to see if you were correct.

 "Fuck me, you're right."

 "The signature's even a tad different. See the S." You pointed out to him.

 "Ok, so this means that one of them is lying."

 "I think it's worse than that Ty." He pulled his head back slightly as if he couldn't believe your words. "Let me ask you something. Have you ever seen Christopher?"

 His hand went to the back of his neck and he dropped his head down so he didn't have to look at you, a tell-tale sign he was nervous, only this time you knew he didn't want to admit something to you. "No, no I haven't. It's just…" He went to tell you his reason why but you stopped him. There would be time for explanations later.

 "I don't think he exists Ty." His head snapped up to look you straight in the eye.

 "How do you know this?"

 It was your turn to be ashamed now. "I went to her house. Well, I actually followed her and Kathleen first. I found her pulling the scam on someone else. She has a prosthetic baby belly and when I was inside there's nothing there that says she has a kid, not a bottle, rattle, anything."

 You saw him processing the information and what a toll it was taking on him. He sat down on the bed heavily, papers falling to the floor as he did. "You mean all this time; I've been paying for my son and he just doesn't exist." You hadn't expected him to take it this hard; though it was a lot to digest.

 "I don't think he does Ty." You sat beside him then, rubbing his back in a soothing motion. "I'm so sorry."

 "I don't even know what I'm feeling right now. Like part of me is relieved and, yet...I feel sad." He looked over at you then. "I could never really acknowledge him, you know? When she told me, all I could think of was that was the reason you left me, and every time I thought about him…" He exhaled a heavy sigh. "God I can't even say his fucking name."

 "It's ok Ty. I get it," and you did. You realized that Christopher was just an extension of your failed relationship and would always remind him of that one night he fucked up. It made sense when you looked at from his point of view, but it didn't make the fact that he lied about sleeping with Tara any easier on you.

 "What am I going to do?"

 "Well for starters, I think you need to ask Tara for a paternity test. Someplace where you all can go and get tested at the same time. That way she can't trick you in any way. You'll know then if she's telling the truth because she'll have to bring Christopher with her."

 "Yeah, yeah," He nodded. "That's a good plan. Where did you go?"

 "Well mine was mail in, but I think they have a place here in Dallas. I just got an email from them." You pulled the correspondence up on your phone, flicking it open for the first time. "What? No? This can't be right?"

 "What? Is something wrong?"

 "It says here that they mixed up my paternity samples and gave me someone else's by mistake." It started to sink in then. Tyler may not be the father of your unborn children. "Oh my god." You could see the confusion written on Tyler's face.

 "(Y/N), what does this mean?"

 You'd said so much this afternoon to him, you didn't know how to break this news, but you still had to do it. "I don't know if you're the father of these two babies." He pulled back as if you'd slapped him across the face; he was so stunned, but then so were you. You had so many questions, but the foremost thing in your mind was you had to tell Jamie. You got up, ready to head out of the room.

 "Where are you going?"

 "I have to tell Jamie, Ty. He has to know the truth."

 "I don't know if that's a good idea."

 "Why not?" Honestly, you couldn't see any harm in this news. In fact, Jamie would be ecstatic.

 "What if you get his hopes up, just to be let down. I know he loves you (Y/N). Cause god knows I still do. Don't crush him, if you don't have to." You sat there weighing your options, not knowing what to do. Part of you knew Tyler was right, but it just seemed so wrong to lie to Jamie.

So this is the first one shot I made way back September, I had this save on my laptop from quite sometime now. I was planning on posting it but,  since college has been a pain ever since we had subject about media law, I didn’t had spare time. Anyway, I hope you like this!

It was the start of winter, the freshly fallen snow must’ve happened last night while I was asleep. I quickly opened my bedroom window, the cold air greeting me. Taking in the cold air into my lungs, causing me to sneeze. With no hesitation, I quickly shut it close and began to pull out my winter clothes. It was my first time to see snow, I wasn’t a local. I quickly got into my winter jacket and eventually race down to eat breakfast. “Dear, why are you so up early?” “Mom, can I go out and play out in the snow please?” looking like an excited dog that was wagging it’s tail. I quickly sat down diligently and ate my meal first before asking mymom again. My mother gave me a smile and ushered me to get my earmuffs which I eventually did faster than my usual speed. “Now sweety, don’t get too far okay? Have fun and stay safe.” She said and gave me lots of kisses before opening the door for me. I gave out a playful giggle and went running out of the house. So this was snow! It looks like cotton candy that I usually eat in a amusement park. 

As i got a handful of it, I tried making a snowball. “Strange, in the movies it looks so easy to do?” I tried to mold the snow again, I got it right this time. Suddenly, I felt a cold smack on my head causing me to fell on the ground, face flat on the snow. I couldn’t hardly felt my face but I was smiling none stop. I quickly stood up and wiped off the snow on my face. “Okay, who did that! Show yourself!” I said, getting a handful of snow to create my snowball to throw. “I’m so sorry!” A boy yelled at me. I quickly turned around to see a boy, probably around my age. His brown hair had some bits of snow but he doesn’t look like he cared. “I’m so sorry!” he repeated, looking a little apologetic at me. “Okay, but let me try to throw it at you too!” his look of nervousness was long gone and had a mischevous look on his face. “Okay, it’s a deal!” he said and closed his eyes. I threw the snowball and it hit his face. His face was scrunched and little bit of snow fell from his face. He opened his eyes and let out a laugh before wiping off the snow off of his face. 

“Are we even now?” “Yeah, we’re even now.” I said, smiling at him. Another yell came from the previous direction he came from. A younger girl running to his side.” “Jack, what took you so long?” the girl said, as he thug on the coat of his brother. “Oh hello! I’m Mary, nice to meet you!” She said, smiling at me. “I’m (y/n), nice to meet you too Mary. And you are...” I asked, looking at the boy who seemed to be at ease now that her sister was with him. “I’m Jack. We live a few houses away from you. Sorry about a while ago, it wasn’t inentional or anything.” He said, as if he was hiding something. “Hey would you like to join? We’re making a snowman!” Mary said and quickly got my hand to follow her. “I’m not really a skilled person for that. It’s actually my first time to see snow.” “First time?? Well then we’ll introduce to you the fun ways to do during the winter season!” Jack said, and quickly ran passed us. A big round snowball was made but wasn’t entirely finished. “Come on, help us make the 2nd snowball.” Jack said, starting by shoveling a lot of snow together. 

I was helping, but Jack was teasing me non-stop. “Jack, stop putting snow on my head! It’s cold.” “But a while ago you had a lot of snow on your face, and yet you didn’t say anything!” “But that was before Jack. As you can see, my mittens are not warm enough. That’s why I’m feeling a little cold. I should’ve gotten the thicker mittens.” I said, taking off my mittens and tried to warm up my hands by blowing my breathe at it. “Oh! We have a spare mittens inside, hold on let me get it for you!” “Mary you d- and she’s off.” I said, stopping mid-sentence as Mary quickly ran to their place. I let out a giggle before looking away to look at Jack. Who was looking at me already, a smile plastered on his face. “What?” “Oh nothing, here. Let me warm you up.” He said and got both of my hands at his. “Clearly holding hands are enough, yeah?” He asked, if the Gods are playing with me now, I hope they stop it. The heat on my face was becoming noticable by the second. “Hey, are you alright? You’re getting a little red.” “I-I’m fine.” I said, quickly squirming out off his grasp but was futile. He gripped tighter and took both of my hands near to his mouth. “What are you doing?” “Blowing my breathe at it what else?” He said, as if his actions was normal, but not for me it was. 

The warmth of his breathe was helping a little while he rubbed my hands. “Feeling warmer?” Yes, warmer than I should be feeling. I thought, clearly trying to conceal the redness of my cheeks. Thank the Gods it was winter, so his probably thinking it was natural. “Thanks, I think that was enough.” I said smiling at him, but he still couldn’t let go of my hand. “What if I don’t want to let go. It’s warmer like this you see.” He said, his determination was impeccable and the crooked smile adds to it. “Why on earth would you think it’s better to hold hands? Honestly Jack, if you like me or something then just spit it out.” I said, smirking at his sudden shock. He was blushing, I clearly can see due to his pale skin. “So, you do have a crush on me!” I said, teasing him more. His grip got tighter again, and I looked at him straight in the eyes. “So what? When you like someone, you eventually hold hands with them, right?” He said, which I rolled my eyes at. I got out of his grasp, in time for Mary to have the mittens she got. “Here (y/n), this one is warmer!” She said, I thanked her and fitted on my hands. “Much better, thank you Mary.” I said, giving her a ruffle on the head. “Come on, let’s finish this!” Mary said excitedly which I followed. 

A half a minute or so, we finally made the snowman, it was quite cute. Not mention looking a little bit like a santa claus because of the added beard made from snow. “Perfect! The only missing piece is mittens and a scarf.” Mary said, and went running again, but before she could run far, Jack called her name.”Mary, you don’t have to.” He said, he got out his palm, “give me your other mittens.” He said, I looked a t him quizzically, but took it out and place it on his palm. He went near to the snowman and placed the mittens on the hand made from stick. And he took off his scarf and wrapped it up around the snowman. “Jack, you’ll catch a cold if you take that off!” I shouted, going nearer to him. “That’s why you’ll give me your hand.” “What for?” “To keep me warm.” He said, without a fail he got one of my hand and twirled it together with his. “Now I feel warm.” He said, and let out a teasing laugh. I was growing red little by little. Mary seeing all the action in front of her. “Jack likes (y/n)! Jack likes (y/n)!” Mary shouted and went running to their place again. “Mom! Jack has a crush on the new next door neighbor!” I quickly face palm, and not a moment too soon, I heard my mom yell my name.”Jack, let go. I have to go home now.” 

“I’ll walk you to your home then.” He said and started to walk, pulling me eventually. As we got nearer and nearer, I pulled out my hand and shove it inside my pockets. My Mom opened the door looking happily at Jack. “Oh hello dear, what’s your name?” “I’m Jack Ma’am, I live a few houses away from yours.” “Well Jack, would you like some hot coco?” “No need, I also need to go home.” He said, my mom then got out a pack of cookies for him. “Here, I made some extra.” She said and left both if us at the door. “So, are you going to play with us tomorrow?” He asked, clearly nervous to his sudden jittery statement. “Sure, I’ll play again tomorrow.” “Then, see you tomorrow.” He said waving goodbyem but I called out his name. The sudden call of his name halted my thought as well. What the hell am I doing? 

He quickly turned around to look at me. “What is it?” He asked, tilting his head to the side. I took off my scarf andgot near  in order to wrap it around his neck. “Like I said, you’ll get a cold in that state. Give it back whenever you want. “ I said, feeling my cheeks turning to bright red. He chuckled which got me stepping a little closer to him. And with the sudden action, I gave Jack a quick peck on his cheek. “And that’s for playing with me today. Thank you.” I said and went running to my house, closing the door without a second look back. I heard Jack yell, which got me running to my bedroom with utter embarassment. “You owe me another peck! I let you borrow my mittens!” He shouted, his laugh louder than I anticipated it to be.

Summary: Finding out that your boyfriend cheated and you met a stranger along the way. What a great day?

Walking in the raining street, you cried and kept your head low as you walk past people. You don't want to let them know how you feel. You don't want to believe that Jongsu and Junghwa, both of them had kept the affairs behind your back for the last 6 months. Even if you had a hunch about it.

But you have too since everything is so clear now.

Jongsu had revealed to you that he had love your best friend Junghwa a year ago on the celebration of your 2nd anniversary. You still remember how your heart clench as you whisper a few words of ‘I know’ to him. But you question his loyalty about for you before he even got with Junghwa.

But everything he said to you, broke your self-esteem and to love another for a while.

“I never had the slightest thought about loving you before, I only dated you because you're friend with Junghwa. I only used you to get close to Junghwa, my heart is only set for her, not you.”

“Are you really that stupid to think that I would settle for less? For the likes of you? Psh, no. I mean c'mon, haven't you see Junghwa's body? She has a killer body that any man would love to go after.”

“You're nothing compared to her, even in the terms of looks.”

Wrecking another sob, you cover your mouth and enter a secluded area. It's best for you to cry and get over your feelings for Jongsu. Walking further and further away in the rain, you didn't know where you were going and you ended up somewhere else.

You stop and look around to found yourself in an abandoned park. Everything rusted to their copper looks and there were weeds growing everywhere on the playground. Swings were broken apart and monkey bars were missing.

But a little further in the rain, you can see a person hunch over a black cat. The cat doesn't seem to be moving the slightest, in fact, it looks dead!

You hold your little umbrella tighter in your grip, as you stalk closer to the person and the cat.

The person did a little wriggle with their fingers and a little light of baby blue glows from the cat's body. It took a few moments for the person to get the cat back.

What you didn't believe next is that the cat starts to wiggle in their dead state and let out a soft meow weakly before standing in their hind legs and get closer to their savior. It purs at them and you had your mouth wide open.

Is he a necromancer?

The person picks up the cat into their arms as it borrowed into their warmth. The cat lifts up its head from the stranger's arms and meows softly at your direction.

The person looks up and saw you with their pitch black eyes. It was a man. He wore a black face mask to concealed his identity.

Your umbrella falls from your hands in fright as your whole body starts to tremor. The stranger approaches you but you try to move away, and it seems your feet were locked in place.

Fear coursed through you, you don't want to die yet.

The man comes even closer than before as his footsteps echo in the rain with his leather shoes.

He stood in front of you and tower over your form. One of his hand grips your jaw and yelp in fright. He made you look into those onyx eyes of his. You look at them for a brief second before closing them shut as you start to hear hauntingly many whispers in both ears, as they overlapped each other. You use both hands to grip his wrist and try to pull them away but to no avail.

He grips your jaw even tighter and you had to turn your eyes away as you were about to cry again in fear this time. With a small whimper, the man lets go of you and you heard his step retreating.

The noises stop and you open your eyes and turn around to find him there as he grips the back of your head in surprise. You look into those glowing orbs of his. The more you look the more you're creeping out and scared.

“Stop it!” You shout in pain before stepping on his foot and his grip release as he grunts out. You didn't waste time and run away from him like a cheetah.

The man just stood there and was a little confused, while he nurses his foot.

Why didn't it work on you?

You ran home so fast that you entered your apartment like a wet dog. You unlock it so fast that your roommate and another friend of yours thought something was wrong with you.

She never sees you run so fast in her life.

You slammed your door shut with a bang and slide against it. With a small sob, you were scared and confused. Was everything real? Did the man try to hurt you or did he try something on you?

“Oh my God,” you run a shaking hand through your hair while the other one covers your mouth, “this can't be real. Magic isn't real, and that man can't be a necromancer or something.”

You try to settle down your thoughts but everything appears louder in there.

“(Name) are you okay in there?” Your friend and roommate Nayoung knock on the other side with a worried tone.

“Y-Yeah, I just need some time for myself.” Telling your friend with a shaky breath, you hope she goes away.

“Okay, just tell me what's wrong when you settle down.” Nayoung footsteps retreated away.

“Fuck this can't be good,” the man sighs before pulling his hoodie down to reveal unruly messy dark brown locks. He settles the cat down on the small makeshift little bed crate and pulls off his face mask.

He walks over to his drawer and pulls out a fresh new pair of clothes. “If the community learns about this, I'm dead meat.” He quickly pulls out everything from his pocket and throws them on top of the drawer. He pulls out an umbrella. “I almost forgot about this.” He took a quick look and sees a name label at the bottom of the handle.

He made a soft scoff, “Okay now this is easier.”

The Quintessential Quintuplets – 14 – Scattered to the Five Winds

While his family sleeps, Fuutarou is hard at work hand-writing comprehensive problem sets to ensure the quints pass the exam coming up in seven days. As usual, his burning of the candle at all five ends results in him collapsing into a “death-like” sleep before he can reach the door of their apartment.

Itsuki, frustrated that he’s late, finds him out in the hall, and her annoyance immediately shifts to genuine concern, then genuine gratitude to see how hard he worked for her and everyone’s sakes. It’s no surprise she’d react this way, considering she was the first to originally seek Fuu’s help…but it’s still lovely to see her smile behind his back.

Fuutarou is happy that all five sisters are present for the session, but things go off the rails shockingly fast due to the persistently butting of heads of Nino and Miku. First, it’s little things like Miku borrowing Nino’s eraser or Nino drinking out of Miku’s can (though joke’s on her, it’s matcha soda!) Fuu’s attempts to get them to get along fail miserably.

Then Nino, regarded as the most sensitive (as well as prickliest!) sister, gets fed up and heads to her room to study alone. When Fuu tries to stop her, she tells him to butt out of family business. When Miku hands her her copy of the problem set, she slaps it out of her hand. Then Itsuki gets involved, slapping Nino and ordering her to apologize, showing Nino how Fuu handwrote all those papers.

Nino is clearly contrite, but also doesn’t want to lose face (as she sees it). Above all else, she’s hurt, angry and disgusted that her four sisters have turned against her and fallen for all of Fuutarou’s “slick talk”. She then decides to double down on her stubbornness and move out.

When she accuses Itsuki of being a “domestic violence meat monster”, Itsuki decides to move out too. It’s a disaster! The next day (with only six days before the exam) Miku joins Fuutarou to search for her missing sisters; Ichika and Yotsuba are apparently busy with other stuff.

Then Miku asks a crowd if anyone’s seen someone who “looks like this” (referring to herself, not a photo), and they locate Nino at a luxury hotel, to which Miku is able to gain access by simply pretending to be Nino. Fuutarou pleads with Nino through the door to remember how she’s always been the one who cared the most about her sisters and their home, but that doesn’t work.

Any time Fuu, an “outsider” to Nino, tries to act like he knows them, it only makes her more resentful. However, she does notice the bracelet Fuu was wearing when she mistook him for “Rintarou” (and basically fell for him), and takes it off his wrist before slamming the door. As for Itsuki, well…as soon as Miku mentioned she ran out without her purse, I had a pretty good idea where she ended up: Fuutarou’s place!

She’s already having a second helping of Raiha’s curry when Fuu comes home, seems to borrow Fuu’s gym clothes to sleep in, and along with Fuu make an adorable Raiha futon sandwich at night. Basically every second of Itsuki at Fuu’s place is a gift, with her seiyu Minase Inori delivering a wonderfully warm and subtle performance. While on a moonlit walk, Fuu protests Itsuki continuing to crash at his place, saying a “well-off girl” won’t be able to survive.

Itsuki corrects him: only a few years ago (and likely around the time Fuu met Mystery Quint(s) in Kyoto), she and her sisters lived in poverty, due to her mother having to raise five kids all at once. When mom fell ill and passed, Itsuki took it upon herself to “guide the others” in her stead, which for Fuu explains why she slapped Nino. But Itsuki laments that she seems to have failed.

The next day, Fuu conronts Yotsuba, who has apparently joined the track team. She apparently couldn’t say no to the captain, and he’s unable to get her to quit. He tries to reason with Nino, but can’t get past hotel security. With all the quints separated, his prospects of helping them pass the next exam are in dire straits—especially with Nino saying she doesn’t care whether she passes.

With only four days until those exams, Fuutarou considers trying to drown himself in the river, thinking it might unite the girls, before immediately checking his suddenly dangerous thoughts. He then comes around to thinking Nino was right; he should have never come into his lives, which seemingly caused all this discord.

Of course, they came into each others‘ lives years ago, as the arrival of a grown-up version of the Mystery Quint appears before him, leading him to jump into the river after all. What the hell was that? A hallucination? Ichika with extensions, dressed for an acting role? A sixth sister? (No, probably not that.) Who knows, but she’s gone when Fuu climbs out of the drink.

Yotsuba runs past Fuu, but doesn’t stop, as she’s practicing for track (we also see that her shoes match the shoe that snapped a twig while Fuu and Itsuki were on their walk. Not sure what to make of that except…is Yotsuba doing track to stay out of the way vis-a-vis Fuu and the other sisters? At any rate, dunking himself apparently washed away his discouragement, and he heads back to Nino’s hotel, where again he’s stopped by guards.

But when Nino spots him, part of her admires his dogged perseverance, part of her feels bad for how wet he is, and part of her doesn’t want the other hotel guests to be subjected to him, so she invites him up to her place. Maybe she’s cooled down enough to hear him out…or maybe she just wants to ask how he came to possess Rintarou’s bracelet!

Episode Two Quintuplet Ranking:

Itsuki: The classic and presumptive Best Quint on most lists, here she really earns that top spot with the lion’s share of screen time. She showed all the sides: the eager student, the strict mom, the freeloader, the clear-eyed reminiscer, the moonlit walk companion…just a very strong overall showing. Total Points: 8 (2nd)

Nino: Yes, she’s a huge pain in the ass, but also yes I love her very much and just want her to go home! Getting that super-expensive hotel suite is so Nino, who’d never. She’s also wonderfully dense about the Fuutarou-Rintarou connection. Total Points: 9 (1st)

Ichika: Ichiwho? A near no-show this week, though like Yotsuba there may be a reason: despite being the eldest, Ichika tends to fade into the background when sister conflicts rage. Total Points: 5 (Tied for 3rd)

A Song of Sisters - Part 3

Description: Claire and her little sister Deb have been through so much in their lives. A singing, dancing apocalypse should be a no brainer, right? When Claire receives a panicked call from Deb in the middle of the school day, she races to save her from the Apotheosis.I was in my second year at Hatchetfield Community College when it happened. I had been working late, and it was raining cats and dogs when I left work. Deb had plans with Alice to go see a play at the Starlight. Alice’s dad was apparently saying, so I didn’t dare say no. As I arrived home, I could swear I heard a crash. It sounded far away though, so I didn’t think anything of it. I sat my tired ass on the couch and turned on the TV. It wasn’t long afterwards when I heard Deb come through the door. I checked the time. “Wait, you’re like three hours early…the play shouldn’t even have started yet, should it?”

“Turn on the news!” Deb said. I turned the channel to Dan and Donna, and I saw the headline across the bottom of the screen: METEOR HITS IN HATCHETFIELD.

"Shit.” I said, “Well that sucks.”

“We didn’t even get to the theater. Apparently that’s where it hit. The police had it blocked off, no one could get within a block of it. Alice said we could go get McDonalds or something tomorrow after school to make up the date. Can I borrow the car?”

“Of course!” I said, offering up half the blanket. Deb sat down and settled in. We both had long days, and were asleep within minutes. How Deb planned to get through the play, I didn’t know.  The next morning, I woke up after Deb had taken the bus to school. I didn’t even hear her leave, I was sleeping so soundly. I was usually always awake to say goodbye and tell her to have a good day as she left for the bus. I got out of bed with a sigh. I got ready and was about to leave when my phone rang. I looked down at the screen and Deb’s photo smiled back at me. This worried me. Hatchetfield High was notoriously anti-texting in class. She would only be calling me in the middle of the day if… 

“Deb! What’s wrong?” I asked.  

“It’s…the teachers…” She said, panting. I could tell she was running, “They’re…they’re…”

“What, Deb?” I said, frantic. I ran to my car, ready to rush to the high school. It was then that I heard it, coming from the direction of downtown. The song itself wasn’t scary, I suppose, but when a whole town is singing the same song…it’s a little unnerving.

 “They’re…singing.” Deb said.

What the fuck?

I kept my windows rolled up as I drove through town, but I could still hear it.

La dee dah dah day

… What the hell was going on? It fully dawned on me what was happening when I saw a scene that made my stomach churn on one of sidewalks downtown. Two people, dancing and twirling down the street, singing all the while, had blood dripping down their face. A man that followed them, dancing along to the same tune, had a gaping wound on the side of his neck. I watched with horror as it began bleeding…blue? I had seen enough zombie apocalypse movies to recognize one when I saw it. Deb and I would watch these and then make up stories about how the two of us would go through with a machete and slice up zombies as we made our way through it. We’d be brave, fearless. In reality, though, we were just scared. I remembered, though, what my parents had told me that day when I first met Deb and they put her in my arms.

You two are going to have to stick together, Dad had said, no matter what happens, you have to be there for each other. That’s what having a sister means. You have her back, and she’ll have yours.

I shook the horrifying scene out of mind as I kept on driving towards the high school with Deb’s softball bat in the back of my car. I had to have her back now. I grabbed the bat as I got out of my car near the school. There was a way to sneak in and out around the back. I remembered from when I went there, and I could hopefully make it in without being noticed.

-Where r u? I texted Deb.

-Bathroom. 2nd floor.

-Almost there. U safe?

- For now. Alice is here

- Singing?

- No. Scared.

- Shit is going on downtown. Be there soon.

 I put my phone in my pocket as I opened the car door. I gripped the bat tight and tried to block out the sound of singing as I head into the school, climbing through an open window in the teacher’s lounge. It was, thankfully, empty, and I stepped out into the hallway. There, the singing became louder. I wondered how many teachers and students were already infected as I noticed that my shoes were beginning to stick to the floor. I looked down, and almost retched. My shoes were sticking in a pool of blood. I had been to focused on what was ahead of me to notice it. I looked down again and saw that there were patches of red lining the hallway, along with spots of blue goo. Was this how they infected people? In some cases, the two touched, making a swirl of purple. I pressed on. I had to get to the second floor. The bathrooms were by the choir room, I remembered. There should be a stairwell near here…

“Are you looking for Debbie?” Said a voice behind me. I turned to see Miss Carter, a blue streak down her chin and front of her clothes. Was she…?

 “You know she hates when you call her that.” I said. “What I call her won’t matter,” Miss Carter said, “She’ll be with your parents soon. You poor, orphaned children. Would you like to join them?” I gripped my bat tight and raised it above my head.  

“D…Don’t come closer.” I warned, ready to run.  

“Or what?” She asked, “You’ll give me a bump on the head? Claire, I’m trying to help…you know I am. I know that ever since your parents died, you and Deb have been in so much pain…join us and we can help you. Both of you.” She inched closer and closer until she was finally within striking distance. 

“Fuck that!” I yelled, swinging the bat as hard as I could. I saw her fall to the ground, out cold. I knew it wouldn’t be long until she came back, so I ran up the nearest stairwell, ignoring the occasional squishing sounds of blood beneath my feet. I was out of breath when I reached the top. I saw a girl with a yellow dress go into the bathroom at the top of the stairs. I could make out a blue stain on her face.  

“Deb! Alice!” I heard her say, “It’s Grace! Please…let me in…I’m scared. All the teachers, they’ve gone crazy…” I ran into the bathroom.

“Deb!” I yelled, “Don’t open the door!” I swung the bat again and it made contact with the side of Grace’s face. She fell and I knocked on the door of the stall to let Deb and Alice know it was safe to come out, if the thud of Grace’s fall wasn’t an indication. The stall door opened and I experienced the much more pleasant attack of Deb’s arms around my neck. 

“Claire, oh my god…” Deb said into my shoulder, “You made it!”  

“Of course I did, I’ve got your back! Now let’s get the hell out of here. I’ve had enough creepy singing to last me a full lifetime.”  

“Right, let’s go. Come on, Alice.” Deb said, taking Alice’s hand.  

“Stay behind me. This place is filled with those things.” I said, brandishing the bat. My heart sunk as I turned to exit the bathroom. 4 or 5 high schoolers were blocking the entrance.

“Shit.” I heard Alice say behind us.

“The Drama club.” Deb said. There was no way we could get through. If I would have hit one of them with the bat, the others would have been enraged and attacked us. We’d be dead. Things got even worse when I heard Deb yelp behind me, “She’s got my leg!” She screamed. These things were resilient, and they didn’t stay down long, as evidenced by the fact that Grace had her hand wrapped around my sister’s ankle. Grace yanked her leg and brought Deb to the ground. Before I could react, Grace had her pinned down.

“Deb! NO!” I smashed Grace’s face with the bat again and she fell to the side. It was too late. There was blue goo smeared around her cheeks. She began heaving and coughing. I went to her side and took her hand. Alice ran to her other side.

“I’m sorry…” Deb said, clearly struggling. The zombies around us left us alone. They knew what was happening. Every instinct told me to run, but I couldn’t leave Deb here alone. If there was anyone who could possibly fight this thing off, it would be her.

“Come on, Deb…fight it, I know you can!” I yelled as Deb began to writhe in pain. Her grip on my hand tightened until my circulation was completely cut off. Alice, across from me on the other side of Deb, was crying too. I was Deb’s sister, but Alice most likely knew more about her than I did. Those two were inseparable, and I knew her heart was breaking too. Then, all of a sudden, Deb’s grip on my hand loosened. Alice looked at me in horror as she felt it too. Her hands slid back and Deb sat up. Her eyes opened, and I could tell that her eyes were…bluer than normal. “Deb…no…” I said as she stood.

“I’m sorry, Claire…” She said with a sneer that I knew from the start was not my sister. “You lost.”

Okay, so things have happened. If about 2 weeks ago you noticed I stopped posting for a bit, that was because I ran away for a week.

My brother, who rents the 2nd bedroom from me, had a girl friend over.  I know her as a drama queen that sleeps around. Bro isn’t crazy enough to date her, but he likes her as that crazy friend ( with nice boobs).

She has been divorced twice and is 25, the second divorce ended with the now ex #2 getting full custody of their daughter. Ex lives in South Carolina and she went home to New York. Well, she got her month of custody with her daughter and since we are in Virgina, a nice halfway point she was going to spend the night on our couch on the drive down then again on the way up. 

All good until about a week after she went to NY... she came back to VA, to my house. With her daughter, a friend, and a puppy. Something happened up in NY and she couldn’t stay there with her kid, so she decided to spend 3 weeks at my place. :(

I was not happy, I was even less happy when I came home from work and they ( her and her friend) had cleaned and re-organized my house. Yes, My brother and I are mechanics, yes brake shoes should probably not be on the dinner table. But fuck you, I don’t have kids and it's my house. Also, that is a bread stone, not a cutting board, and that white polyvinyl shower sheet that they removed was waterproof, the curtain it protects is not. 

Her asking to borrow my car to take the kid back to daddy was how I found out how long she intended to stay. And her stay would cover the week I took off in an attempt to regain sanity from work.

So I left. I took my dog and went to Michigan to say hi to dad and meet my new nephew.

I came back the baby and friend were gone and somehow she had gotten herself invited to go up to Michigan with my brother. ( We currently work the same shift and could not take the same weeks off.)

I didn’t care, I had to house to myself for 2 weeks and reclaimed my space. Then they come back, Bro is miffed about something and in less than 24 hours, she’s gone. 

But the Puppy is still here :(

Which is the same thing she did during divorce #1, ditch the dog in our yard so she came run around and couch hop. 

Sigh.

She has 1 week to get the dog, then I’m taking it to a rescue.

Sing more covers he said. So I did.

"Oh look, Jeongguk posted a new cover. He's really good, huh?" Bogum told Tae as they deplaned from Jeju. Taehyung looked at him, confused, as Jeongguk has not mentioned anything about a cover before he left. "What cover?" Bogum showed him a video posted in the BTS YouTube Channel, the usual black screen with just Jeongguk's vocals. A melodic ballad tune played and after a few bars, that signature voice came in. Why can't you hold me in the street Why can't I kiss you on the dance floor I wish that we could be like that 'cause I' m yours Taehyung scrolled the video to look at the title just to be sure but the first lines are a dead giveaway anyway. Damn. Secret Love Song by the Little Mix was a song they both chanced upon by accident. They heard a Korean cover of the song uploaded a few months back and Taehyung swore it was stuck in his head for quite a while. The song is bittersweet and catchy but most of all, it's a sort of anthem for Taehyung and Jeongguk's current life. A secret love affair of stolen kisses, hidden intertwined hands, smitten glances, all mostly done in borrowed time. Fans are quick to realize, fast on the uptake in every fancam video of them whispering, holding hands, getting lost in the small intimate world that they created that the management reminded them to be careful. They even resorted to directing them to stay away in videos, sit far apart in fan signs so as not taint their good bulletproof boys images. As if loving someone regardless of gender is a sin or smear that should be wiped away clean. "Oh Kookie..." Taehyung remembered that Jeongguk asked him if he can come home with him to Busan for a few days during their break. "Sorry Kookie, I promised Bogum I'll meet him when I get back to give him the items he asked me to buy. I need to come home to Daegu soon after to visit Grandma and the kids are waiting for me. How about after the last leg of the tour, yes? We'll have another break then. " Jeongguk cannot win at poker with his lack of facial filter to hide his emotions. His face is too expressive. He tried to hold back this time, but his jaw clenching and his usual tongue-in-cheek quirk is showing. "It's okay Tae, I'm pretty sure you're fed up with my face by now. Have fun in Jeju." His phone started ringing and he nodded to excuse himself out curtly. It's probably Yugyeom calling him out again to play. "Gummy, I think I need to go." Bogum nodded and clapped Taehyung in the back. He knows Taehyung's relationship with Jeongguk and the song clearly says it all. "I know. Let's meet again sometime, ok? Have fun in the next leg!" Taehyung walked fast and half ran as he saw Sejin-hyung waiting for him in the arrivals area. "Hyung, is Jeongguk still at the dorm?" He asked as Sejin took his bag. They were walking towards the exit when sasaeng fans started screaming for Taehyung. So they ran, fast, towards the van. "Kookie was with Yoongi in his studio this morning. I know he asked for the 2nd to the last train sched to Busan for today. Brave kid, taking the train. I hope there are no sasaengs there." "Sejin-hyung! Let's go to the studio! Hurry!" Nodding, Sejin instructed the driver to go to the HQ and all Taehyung can think about is how much he hurt Jeongguk unintentionally. --- "Kid's not here anymore Taehyung. He left for Busan an hour ago." As expected, Yoongi is the only one left in the studio and no trace Jeongguk anywhere. "I messed up hyung! I really hurt Kookie right?" Yoongi's head bounced up and down like he's playing a tune in his head. "Yep kid, big time. Jeon was crying when we finished and of course I kicked him." Taehyung eyes grew wide in disbelief. "Kidding, i told him to suck it up and go home. Thing is, Taehyung, he's enamored with you and I cannot blame you for being the social butterfly that you are but you do tend to leave him out. I know it's a secret love affair and the world need not know what the truth is but be mindful of his feelings too. No one wants to be in a secret alone." Taehyung buried his face into his hands. Ah Taehyung how can you be so insensitive, he said to himself. Jeongukk deserves an apology and no phone call can cut it. "Hyung can you..?" Before he can even finish, Yoongi slid a piece of paper to him without even peeling his eyes off the screen of his computer. Taehyung smiled and prepared to haul himself to Yoongi when the older male shot him an icy death stare, daring him to continue his plan of glomping him. "Bring me Daegu food when you come back. I'm not going home. Now shoo, go away. Leave me be." "Thank you Hyung! I love youuu!" "Urgh, c'mon, save that for Jeongguk. It's just a train ticket, no need to profess your love me. Urgh, the shivers." Taehyung bowed at Yoongi and charged for the exit. "Go get him tiger!" --- It's around 2am when Jeongguk arrived in his neighborhood in Busan. It's late but somehow going straight to the park nearby his house sounded better to him that going home. He perched himself on a patch of grass, placed his bags and guitar beside him. Going home to Busan reminds Jeongguk that he's just a kid with humble beginnings, with a simple house and cute dogs. Busan is childhood, his adolescent dream while Seoul is work, adulthood, music, fans and of course... Seoul is connected to Taehyung. Sigh. Jeongguk shook his head at the idea of him crying in front of Yoongi after finishing the cover a while ago. He was just so jealous of Bogum and frustrated with Taehyung and their relationship. Why can the two of them go out while Jeongguk waits at home? How can they look so fucking perfect together that the management allows them to post it in Twitter while he can't even post selcas with Taehyung without causing an uproar? Why can't they express love same way other people in love do? Sighing again, he took out his guitar and looked around if here are anyone around. When the coast was clear, he strummed the chords of the song away. We keep behind closed doors Every time I see you, I die a little more Stolen moments that we steal as the curtain falls It'll never be enough He laughed at how this song fits him so much right now, it literally hurts. He was taken a back though when he heard a familiar baritone singing the next few bars. Why can't you hold me in the street? Why can't I kiss you on the dance floor? I wish that it could be like that Why can't we be like that? 'Cause I'm yours Taehyung sat beside him on the grass, their knees touching. They both look the same, hoodie, cap, black mask but underneathe faint night light, Jeongguk can see Taehyung's eyes. Pleading. Apologetic. Sincere. "I'm so sorry Kookie... I shouldn't have chosen Bogum over you. I'm really sorry." Jeongukk placed his guitar down and looked at Tae directly. He cannot get angry with those eyes on that face. He just can't. Just like LANY said in ILYSB, I'm hella obsessed with your face and yeah, Taehyung's face gives him that feeling. Somehow, the all that jealousy and frustration dissipated when Taehyung started peeling the mask off Jeongguk's face. He cupped his hand on his cheek and Jeongguk sighed into it. Taehyung is Taehyung. Nothing else feels right when Taehyung is right there, smiling at him. Everthing else, poof! Gone. Out of the window. "Kiss me then, if you're so sorry." Jeongguk haughtily said as he pulled the strings of Taehyung's mask off his eyes, revealing his boxy grin. Oh lord, he is such a delight. Why was he angry again? Taehyung kissed him slowly at first then fervently soon after. Kissing him felt the same as snuggling against him every night, holding his palm against his with their fingers intertwined. Busan is Jeongguk's childhood, Seoul is his work. Taehyung is home. "We'll work this out, babe. We'll get through this one day. Let's keep this secret safe for now, okay? Don't let go Kookie, I never will." With their foreheads touching, Jeongguk smiled and kissed Taehyung lightly once more. "You have all my cards, Tae. I'm not going anywhere." Why can't I say that I'm in love? I wanna shout it from the rooftop I wish that it could be like that Why can't we be like that? 'Cause I'm yours They both know it will take a long time for them to be able to tell the whole world of their secret. They also know that some secrets are better kept unsaid. Three Suns Standing by Gunship Revolution for the Exalted 3rd Jumpstart.

  Feeling a lot better, but am still fighting the last bits of this flu or whatever it is. Last week, though, was a sort of semi-conscious staggering from the one thing I could focus on each day to trying to rest/medicate/cough this thing out until the next day and the one thing I could concentrate on that day. And so on.

I did manage to work with BackerKit to send out the links for the Backer PDF for Pugmire. There was a hiccup on coding that they fixed pretty fast, all things considered, and then I not only Locked Down the pledges, but charged them for any additional Add-ons they might have added on to their pledges.

I think the timing for these three steps basically worked as intended by BK, so that’s good to see happen with our first use of their system. Next will come the address corrections right before shipping; so a few months down the line. We’ll do a similar sequence for the Deluxe Changeling 20 KS, the Deluxe v20 Beckett’s Jyhad Diary KS, and the Scion 2e KS as their Backer PDFs get finished.

FYI, a Backer PDF is basically the beta version of the final book. Pretty much just like the Advance PDFs for our non-Kickstarted projects, we’re sending them out to folks to review and to get back to us with any errata they might find. Then, after we review and implement any errata that we agree needs tweaking, we replace the Backer or Advance PDF with the final version. Anybody who downloaded the Backer or Advance PDF can then re-download the PDF and get the final version automatically, and for free, as it sits in their DTRPG Library.

Strategy-wise, we’ve found that this errata phase really helps catch those last lingering bits that our developers and editors missed for any number of a variety of reasons. Most of all, though, it’s because no text is ever perfect. There is always something everybody missed. With this errata phase, we’re trying to get closer than ever before to catching as many boo-boos as humanly possible.

RBL Spot Interview

DIY skateparks have exploded in popularity over the last 10 years. I'm unsure whether it's a response to the growing number of people using skateparks, as people look for a more secluded spot to skate, or whether it's a natural extension of the creativity and freedom of skateboarding - but DIY parks have become a staple part of modern skateboarding. One spot which is thriving in this area is the RBL Spot, at an undisclosed location in Essex. The spot has been growing organically with an impressive level of professional finish and a great selection of obstacles to skate. I spoke to Will, who heads up the effort for the DIY spot, about how it came about, and how building there got him into the middle of a manhunt straight out of Police Interceptors. 

Can you introduce yourself and tell me how long you've been skating for? My name is Will. I started skateboarding in summer of ‘01, aged about 10-11.

What inspired you to start building the RBL Spot? I've wanted to make a street style spot for a while. I tried 6 months before in an underpass which is lit up all night, but had some trouble with the graffiti writers who captured the space first. When I found this spot, I knew it was perfect. It was a BMX spot before, but as they built it out of wood, it all got burnt down by local chav kids - a constant plague to the spot.

What does RBL stand for? RBL means “rubble”. If you follow the hashtag #rubblespot back, you can see the earlier wooden BMX park and the concrete bits they had on the building before it was burnt and then knocked down. It used to be a good spot for graffiti and urban exploration, so the name was pretty set, I just gave it a slight rework.

What was on the site of the RBL Spot before you moved in to build the DIY park and before the BMX spot? It was a sport and social club, with tennis courts, football and bowls pitches. The red tile areas of the spot are where the shower rooms used to be. It had a large function room you could rent out for parties and events. Some of the skaters remember playing football there when they were really young. The club was subject to arson in 2013, and then I believe the building was demolished in 2015.

Did you set out to build the spot because of a lack of decent skateparks nearby, or because you were after something a skatepark can't offer? We have some OK parks locally, but there's something special about DIY spots: a sort of no rules freedom. There are not many DIY's that are all street. We're 20 miles away from Urbside, who have the transition covered! Scooters are a real issue in my local park: It's very small, and I've grown quite tired of waiting for the council and their 2 million pound lottery grant funded upgrade. I've been trying to work with them and local police on this for the last 18 months.

Which famous spots did you take inspiration from when building obstacles at the spot? As far as the inspiration for the obstacles, layout etc - it's all from my love of plaza skating. Early 00s street was the best! Spots like Love Park, Carlsbad and Pier 7 are all hugely influential which is pretty obvious! Also 4 months before we started building, I visited Barcelona. Seeing the locals at Sants inspired me: their style, consistency and love for their spot.

Are there any other DIY parks out there that you use as an ideal benchmark for what you would like RBL to become? I really like the Bodila Project in Barcelona, the guys are super helpful and friendly too. Clemente DIY in Grand Rapids, Michigan is awesome too: kinda raw East Coast vibes. I love all the spots with a real sense of community, which is a big part of what I'm trying to create here.

You mentioned the chavs being a plague on the spot - Has anything super sketchy happened to you down at the spot whilst building or skating? Funny you should mention the chavs – I caught two of them just after the shed at the spot was kicked in for the 2nd time, and one of them ran away without his bike. I kept it hostage for a few hours until he went and got his Mum and Dad to scout it out for him.

By far the most memorable sketchy incident happened on a Sunday night in January. I'd been down there building on my own all day, and except for this crew of mosher kids who hang about near the spot, I'd seen no-one all day. I'm finishing a zoot, waiting to do the final pass on this triangle patch of concrete, when I hear a screech of a car from the top of the hill, and the loudest, clearest voice shouts out “freeze, put your hands up!”. I grab my phone, thinking 'Oh shit, this could be some good content!'. Next thing I know, there's loads of blue lights, sirens, and loud chatter from the road. More old bill turned up, and the whole thing was looking pretty heavy, so I started packing my shit up. 

One of the cars started driving down real slow past me, lights on. They stopped at the bottom of the hill, and they got out with a fucking huge dog, with lights shining over towards me and across the spot. They slowly walked towards where the moshers throw bricks and shit.

At this point, I thought "Fuck this, I'm out - I'm not getting caught up in this and bringing attention to the spot". Touch wood: we have had no trouble from the police, local residents or businesses yet. So I grabbed my stuff and started waddling down the road between a load of police at the top and the parked, flashing police car at the bottom. When I say stuff, I mean a huge backpack, 2 tote bags, a tripod with a video light still on it, a shovel and a sledgehammer. 

FUCKING HELL. I thought you were gonna say the worst thing you encountered was some kids vandalising the spot but that's much crazier than I expected. How I didn't get stopped I don't know, and I never got to the bottom of what happened! 

The spot seems like a real community effort. How many other people have helped with the build? 4 of us started it, but I’ve had probably 20 other people help mix cement, or donate some money on the GoFund. Myself, Wes, Sam, Mark, Daryl (our buddy who came up from London for the build days, bless him), then also big shout outs to Rob and Matt who also helped on the big builds. It's awesome, as Mark and I skated Rob & Matt's DIY warehouse spot in Brentwood about 10 years ago, and now it's gone full circle.

How has the lockdown from COVID-19 affected the build? Dramatically. For starters, Wickes are not selling sand and cement as they're not essential items, so getting materials has been a mission. Fortunately a small family-run builders merchant got me sorted. With the local skateparks officially taped off and police monitoring them, we've had more skaters visit, in small groups luckily. Downside of this is the ground is getting more worn day by day! We've also had more non-skater visitors than ever, with the residents of the local houses nearby all coming over to take a look, and they've all been very supportive when I've spoken to them. I've got to know one guy who heads down there every morning to work out; it's great to see the space being used by everyone.

What have you got planned for the spot in the future? Currently in build is a new 7 stair with a low, long round handrail, and importantly, a BBQ. I've got plans to finish tidying the last bit of the edge and bank down to the lower panel. I'd like to add a long flatbar in the side section. And finally I'd like to extend and join the far end with a bank, making the whole layout a complete L shape, which is a lot of work! We really need to work on a lot of the holes in the floor too, and also dig away at the sides. The more you dig, the more room you have to skate but 95% of the digging has ended being by me! We really need to borrow a digger from the site opposite.

What's the sickest trick to go down at the spot so far? For me, seeing Neil Smith shred it up the other week. He did a nollie heelflip down the gap in a line and nollie heelflip fs crook on the little ledge. Not enough from our lot: we spent more time building than skating last summer, so hopefully this year we’ll enjoy skating it more. This has gotta be the worst one:

Other than Neil Smith and Thrasher's Hall Of Meat, have you had many high profile skaters visit the spot, or show interest in it? Nah. Smithy is pretty local. The future of the spot is pretty uncertain so we keep it pretty low key. If you know, you know. But obviously I’d love to see people come shred it up.

What advice would you give to anyone looking to start a DIY spot? Pick the right spot. Never stop researching, stuff like mix designs, tools, techniques – all knowledge is good. Preparation is everything, it's better to take two days doing it really well than rushing it in 1 and having to fix it half a year later. Invite trustworthy people, and be prepared for everyone to slate what you've built. Everyone has ideas but not many will put the time, money, effort, blood, sweat and tears in!

My Insurance auto accident settlement?

I was recently in a car accident where a Nissan truck ran into the back of another car that then ran into the back of me causing $2000 worth of damage to the rear of my infiniti. I received moderate whiplash to my neck and had to be taken to the hospital. I checked out without any broken bones and was prescribed medication. I went to see a chiropractor and he has been working on my neck for a couple days which makes it feel a better. Im 100% not at fault and the insurance company has taken care of my car repair, rental, and medical bills. They ask me How much do I think I want for this accident for pain and suffering. I believe I am entitled to at least $3500-5000 for my suffering I live in NC. I believe $5000 is a reasonable consider the circumstances. dreamed in my hometown in a raining night. my mother locked a panther in house, or a lion or tiger. my sinful 2nd elder brother tried to risk me to feed it. I'm looking to get myself a car for one year as soon as i pass my test so i can get a no claims bonus. what car would be best to buy (used) what year (reliable or not too difficult to keep maintained by me alone.) It needs to have a low monthly running cost and be almost guaranteed to survive without major (>150) parts replacement over the year. and it needs to be in a low insurance group.

My registration was suspended because I didnt show proof to the DMV that i had car insurance. I recently bought car insurance but I cannot show proof to the DMV until I receive my Insurance card in the mail which the insurance rep said it may take 2 weeks! I already paid my fee to the DMV to reinstate my insurance but i have to wait until the insurance card come inorder to submit my insurance to the DMV. She refused to exchange information with me. the police came, and wrote a report, but he was giving me a lot of attitude saying that her car suffered no damage, though my rear license plate was bent. he claimed, whether or not she hit you before or after you hit the front car, i find it hard to believe that her hitting you caused that much damage to your front bumper . I got a generic report on a piece of paper and he told me to pick up the report tomorrow. I'm pretty sure she's not going to file a claim, most likely because she can't speak english. i honestly don't want to deal with filing a report and i'm planning on just buying a new front bumper and installing it myself, but my question is, is my insurance company going to be contacted and will my rates rise?
