hello!
i don't really know what i'm hoping or trying to do with this post but i've been writing fanfic for a while—actually wrote for a while, then took a long hiatus and now i'm back to finish a fic—in the one direction/harry styles/niall horan fandom. but i'm hoping to dabble in steddie. (probably not until i'm done with this fic because i really just need to focus on completing it before i do anything else!) i'll probably just start with some little drabbles and oneshots but will hopefully work my way up to longer chaptered fics. so i just want to introduce myself to the steddie fandom! please say hello, talk to me about steddie, tell me what you love in steddie fics, anything! i'd love to get to know you!

Planted my plants...because the thing about having like fifty lilies is that my lilies don't bloom until mid-summer and my tulips will be dying in the next few weeks...the hyacynths are already basically done and the hydrengeas are just green...so I had to go get some annual plants to give everything a bit of color.
Now I'm gonna enjoy some plantain tostones with fried eggs and make tea before I can actually watch the interview and also get back to writing my bucktommy fic.

My obkk playlist update
Can I lay by your side
Next to you, you
And make sure you're all right?
I'll take care of you
I don't want to be here if I can't be with you
My imagination is making it into Kakashi's POV. Post war. Obito is alive and lying next to him [...]

I just saw ANOTHER post lamenting this change, so I'm just gonna say "fuck it" and make a how to do the thing post, and if I'm misunderstanding the outrage... lol, this is tumblr, I'm sure someone will tell me.
Currently, if you want to go to a post in the middle of a reblog thread, you have to click the empty space in what I call the reblog header. The reblog header is the space that holds a user's name and reblog details, and on desktop, it turns a different color when you move your cursor over it. It's this space:
It doesn't change colors on mobile, obviously, because no cursor, but I think tapping is a little more intuitive on mobile anyway and afaik this particular thing has been this way here for a while now...? Whatever. Anyway, that's how you get to a mid-thread reblog!
(I actually do kinda like this new setup. It's not perfect, it can be annoying if someone's URL is long or if I accidentally click "Follow" instead of the header space. But overall, the space to click into a prior reblog is bigger now and I like that. I don't think I'll have to worry as much about mouse precision or drowsy coordination issues, which is nice. Maybe I'll be able to use the desktop version more.)
However, this means that in order to see "prev tags," you apparently have to click into the notes view and scroll until you find them. That's annoying for those who want to see them, and I can't blame anyone for being irritated. If you're new here you may be surprised to learn "prev tags" is fairly recent, so my recommendation (if you're looking for an alternative) is to put the actual tags from the user you're reblogging from, instead. This was normal prior to the "prev tags" trend if you wanted to share tags without screenshotting them, and it seems like tumblr has made it super easy now. The mobile app now automatically suggests the previous tags, and on desktop, they show up in a dropdown when you click to tag your post. Personally, I like to put "<-borrowing your tags bc funny" or "<-stole your tags for truth" or something right after, so I don't feel like I'm taking credit for someone else's phrasing. But either way, it's handy for your followers to be able to read the tags you liked without having to click to a different blog.
I'm hoping this particular change will be seen as useful after the rocky adjustment period is over.
All this being said, I personally like these particular changes, but I wish Tumblr would not roll out changes as rapidly as they seem to be recently. Either change everything at the same time or give it a rest, holy shlamoly! I stopped using Facebook because it seemed like every time I opened it, something was different, and it became jarring and uncomfortable to try to use. I'm starting to have a similar feeling about tumblr, and I don't like it.

major announcement: I have a brand new shiny pinned! it's more condensed and the links have been cleaned up a bit
besides my new pinned, my oc compendium website is available to peruse. there's 3 sections excluding the home page: intro, roster, and npcs :D
ofc my main ocs' bios are not done yet as it's under construction at the moment, but I went ahead and deleted their old bios anyway. once I'm done with decembhyur, I'll have the leisure of writing again. on the plus side, I have a section for my npcs and lil bullet points for them all, feel free to take a look ^^

So funny thing, every time I look at your new blog header I really want to make a joke about Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, which is another spinoff game involving you getting isekai'd but in that one you actually get transformed/incarnated into the body of a Pokemon- hence, the header.

my older siblings played pmd when we were younger we had some good times meme’ing about stuff but i can’t honestly say i remember much about it and i definitely do not remember that

Hello and welcome to my shiny new sideblog! I wanted to make a quick post to credit my header image and icon. The header is a gorgeous old illustration of Ravenclaw common room that I’ve had saved to my laptop since... shortly after I first got my own laptop haha, back before I cared much about image attribution, but with a reverse google image search I managed to track down this deviantart post, which seems to be the original, as near as I can tell. The icon is from this wikimedia file which has a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 license; the edits (making the image softer and purple-tinted) are my own.
While it is technically an image of a Norwegian Forest Cat named Kleo, for the sake of this blog’s purposes, as per my url & title, this is the Lovegood family (Luna and her husband Rolf Scamander, but I still intend to refer to them as the Lovegoods because Luna is my girl, you know? ;) )’s pet kneazle, Medb (pronounced “Mave”), principally because I’ve been listening to this podcast on Irish Folklore called Sounds from the Shadows where they were telling the story of Medb. (It’s a good podcast, I’d definitely recommend it!)
So, welcome to my blog, and remember, don’t worry--you’re just as sane as I am ;)
