A very very messy sketch for the anon that wanted to see my design for 1987 Mikey in Too Many Turtles! I had like an hour to do this so it’s actually terrible but eeehhh

As you can probably tell I am very busy in real life right now with university work and assignments. I’m sorry but this blog is going to be quite barren until I finish, which is in like a month or so. It’s annoying because I love drawing but I also have three assignments to do in just over two and a half weeks and then immediately study for exams which is very fun.

So it’s back to prompts! I’ll try and do quick sketches every now and then but the quality will be much lesser. Re blogging my shit art to try and keep my blog active would be appreciated, but not required - I just like doing the weird prompts you guys give me lol

I didn't write at all over the weekend. I didn't even look at my wips and it actually felt good. It felt good not stress over whether or not I was writing fast enough or if what I was writing was good enough. I didn't have the feeling like I was wasting my time.

I feel guilty for feeling that way though. Writing is such a huge part of who I am but recently it's been a part of me that's been causing more harm than good. It's stopped being fun.

I don't think I'll ever stop writing and posting here for that matter, but I think I need to take a real, proper break.

I'm not going to write for the rest of this month. I'm not entirely sure if I'll write next month (except for school work unfortunately) but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

I've burnt myself out trying to live up to impossible expectations set by myself and it's ruined something that I love. I know it'll be a disappointment to a lot of you, I completely get it, and I hope you can forgive me. I just can't do it anymore right now.

I'll probably still be around on tumblr, I'll end up reblogging a shit ton of stuff and maybe I'll post something occasionally but it won't be any wips or drabbles or anything like that.

Hello everyone, unpopular announcement coming...

Hi. I am OVERWHELMED with matchup requests. I have had them closed FOR A LONG TIME and people STILL send them in. Not to be rude, but I have said numerous times that I'm not taking more, but I've been such a pushover my whole life I haven't deleted them either (still considering it). One of them even said 'oh hi whenever you open them again I'm in line' as if that's how being closed works. I feel like a content machine more than a person receiving consideration when I get requests ignoring my attempts at minimizing stress. Bottom line is, I feel a little bit sick even saying this because I fear I'm going to lose my audience, but I don't enjoy doing matchups half as much as the original imagines, headcanons, and one-shots I set out to do and I feel a lot of pressure to complete matchups, get them out fast enough, etc. I am losing my enjoyment of writing on this account and cannot focus on the works I am really excited about because it feels like a task now and I don't want that. My fire is going out and I have been considering inactivity because of it all. This blog was a passion project to put out the content I wanted to see and share thoughts and it has lost all passion.

Matchups are closed indefinitely and any received after this post will be deleted unless you are a friend/mutual. All other types of requests are back open, though it may be a little while for me to complete them just because of the large buffer. But I want to enjoy myself here again and do what I love lest I do go inactive, which I have been considering. Thank you for understanding and I'm sorry if this is a mean post, a rude post, you no longer want to interact with this account, etc. My therapist has encouraged standing up for myself and my own mental health and I have been trying to practice that more.

A little announcement

I just wanted to let everyone know that I may not be as active on here during April. My mom is having surgery on her neck at beginning of the month, and we aren't entirely sure just how much assistance she's going to need in her recovery. As of right now, I am planning to help her with whatever she needs, so my activity on here may be a bit more sporadic than usual.

I have quite a few fics banked at the moment, so I should still hopefully be able to post things on a weekly basis, but I can make no promises.

Please, please feel free to continue to message me, send asks, leave comments, tag me in things, etc. Just know that it may take me a little longer than normal to get around to responding.

And to my Hunger Games AU friends, @justrainandcoffee, @call-sign-shark, @evita-shelby, @peakyswritings, please know that I am still working on my series ideas, and am so excited to read everything you all create! It just may not be until at least the end of April (probably later) that I actually get around to posting things.

So um yeah I don’t think I’m going to get time to update any of my fanfics this week. Subsidence has already gone way past it’s mark and I haven’t even began writing the next chapter of Too Many Turtles. I’ve literally had no free time to myself as I am juggling three assignments, commissions and personal stuff rn, which is also why this blog has gone quite silent, oops.

Sorry, I really hope I get at least a little time next week to update them. I promise Subsidence is at least half way through its next chapter 😓

For headcanons going forward, i will only write for Wilbur’s characters (revivebur, ghostbur, etc). As for posts I’ve made in the past, those are being kept up for archival purposes only. As a victim myself, my heart goes out to Shelby and Alice and I hope they both can heal from what that man has done.

As a result, I no longer listen to or support lovejoy. Not only because of the recent events, but also because of what Mark (the McDonald’s incident) and Ash (the cynicsnacks account) have done too.

Hey everybody! I was gonna wait until later this week to post this but since it’s on my mind might as well make an announcement!

Spring 2024 Blog Plans

As of January this upcoming year, I’ll be in class again! *celebrates in college student* Naturally this means once again the first few months of the year are gonna look a little funny as I adjust to IRL changes and whatnot. Here’s what I’ve got planned so far:

January: Fics will come out as per usual. I’m finishing up the last of the month over this upcoming weekend and scheduling out accordingly.

February: Candy Hearts Event! I absolutely love doing this event with you guys- it’s so fun to see what pairings and sentence starters you send in! I’ll be opening the event for prompts the last week of January to Valentine’s Day! (Jan 28th-Feb 14), so look forward to that! I’ll make a post to let you all know when they’re officially open!

March- June: Feeling out the vibes. As of right now, I’m not entirely sure what the remaining months are gonna look like from March to the end of the semester. I don’t know if I’m gonna have free time to write- let alone the brain stamina- or if I’m gonna be so busy with class and other life things I just wont have time. We’ll see where we are when we get there.

Best case scenario I can squeeze out a fic or two a week, worst case scenario I go on a temporary vacation from writing until I’m done with class!

So yeah! That’s what we got in store this upcoming spring! I wish you all a fabulous new year and a happy 2024! May you all be blessed with good fortune and happiness as we leave behind 2023! I’m sending nothing but love and positive energy your way! 💖💖💖💖
