finally got around to drawing things from my figure shelf :]] (video of my figures below - if nothing else, click to see the litleo figure. its horrible [affectionate])
[image id: a sketchpage featuring many different pokemon, Ingo and Emmet, and Hatsune Miku. In the first drawing, Miku sings cheerfully into a microphone, while Ingo and Emmet look up at her - they're significantly shorter than Miku, and have to look up quite a ways.
Beneath this is a drawing of Ingo and Emmet doing their signature point pose, and they stare down and to the center, both smiling. Between them is a Lucario mimicking their pointing pose, riding a very happy Boltund.
To the side of this is a drawing of an exasperated Emmet, bent over from the weight of two Galvantula crawling on his head and shoulders. Emmet fruitlessly pulls the leg of one away, saying, "this is verrrrry unprofessional of you two." Above this is a sketch of Ingo being haunted by a Gengar. It looms behind him, grinning hugely as he stares ahead in dread.
Finally is a series of pokemon sketches. First, there is a Pikachu and Slowpoke sleeping together, then a very small Pikachu sitting on top of a very large Pikachu's head. Then are a number of sketches titled "Knockoffs 🤍". All of these are very silly sketches. There's one of a wide eyed Arceus titled "He has seen The Horrors", two very silly galvantula, a pink zorua, a blocky stunky, and a litleo that barely resembles a litleo. End id]
[video id: a soundless video panning over a shelf with lots of pokemon figures on it. Most notably are the figures depicted in the drawing - Ingo and Emmet, Miku, as well as the various pokemon drawn above, such as Litleo, Arceus, and Galvantula. There are many more figures on the shelf that were not drawn as well. Many of them are very small knockoff figures of questionable quality. End id]
-The scientific name for Gengar is "Umbra hominis." Umbra means shadow, while hominis means man. The translation for this is "Shadow man"
-Gengar don't have any bones; just muscle
-There are many theories stating that the Gengar line is related to the Clefable line. However, this is not true. Clefable are a species that originated from space, and Gengar is a Pokemon that originates from our world. Gengar looking like Clefairy is just a coincedence
-There are theories stating that Gengar can travel to the spirit worlds of other dimensions
-A lot of people are worried about Gengar stealing your soul, even if they like you and trust you. But don't worry; these have only happened a few times and only when that specific Gengar was especially aggressive or mean. Unless it's harmless pranks, most Gengar won't even lay a finger on their trainer
-But Gengar do tend to be more aggressive in Alola
-While the relationship between a lot of spiritual Pokemon is unknown, Gengar's connection to other pokemon is especially confusing especially once you take in their gas form. The closest thing we think they're related to is potentially muk, being that they're both amoprhus poison types
-Gengar absorb peoples heat for two reasons: the first is being that they get cold easily but have trouble providing their own heat, and the second is because it usually ends up scaring the person

-While then eating souls is pretty well known, they also eat Colbur berries, Persim berries, Shuca berries, Payapa berries, Kasib berries, and Colbur berries. But being poison type, they also like anything bitter
-When threatened by anything stronger than them, Gengar will raise the spikes on their back to appear more intimidating
-Gengar don't like being alone and will constantly search for other humans or Pokemon if they ever are
-Gengar will copy the expressions and mannerisms of the people and Pokemon they like. This isn't them trying to mock them, but just their way of getting to know them better (headcanon from @unofficial-pokedex )
-In therapy situations, Gengar are mostly used for eating nightmares and emotional support
-Unlike the rest of the Ghastly line, Gengar actually have a bit of fur on them
