Sigggggggggh… yall seen the most recent episode? AHHHH such a treat omgggg… It was really good.. probably one of my favs so far actually.. I didn’t really care for the Spencer and Diego plot but i did appreciate that it was solved.. same with Logan! Omg Alessio and Natalia… need more from them frs!! I love the chats Anastasia had separately with Zaid and Ivy too… Ivy helping give Tristan another chance at the game- AHHHH 😭 I’m so glad they have eachother… even though I didn’t really want Lynda back.. Raph sighed with a big, swooning smile, setting your paper down on the counter as he finished reading it for the 5th time over. It just made him misty-eyed to see that you, someone so perfect to him, cared so much about him, a big scary mutant. (Even though he’s really not all that scary.)

It made his heartbeat quicken and his chest feel tight, but in a good way. In the best way.

Obviously he knew it wasn’t right for him to read through your personal notes, but I mean, hey. The folder had his name on it, so that basically made it his too.

Overall it isn’t my favorite (Circe/Thunder my beloveds), but it’s still pretty good imho!

Legendary

Love how upbeat this one is. MICO as Telemachus is VERY good, and I especially liked the little trembles/voice cracks (?) as he sang! Gave Tem a “young” vibe.

Also Athena ain’t dead lol she comes back in King isn’t it? Also she’s a GOD. Who CAN’T DIE.

I’ve seen criticism about Zeus attacking Athena, and about how he wouldn’t do that because she’s a favorite…but the thing is, in The Iliad, he does threaten to blast her and Hera off their chariots at one point…plus Apollo’s a favorite too, and he was nearly thrown into Tartarus by Zeus! Being the favorite doesn’t automatically mean you can get away with anything and everything, so I headcanon that Zeus got a bit more peeved than usual because of just how quickly Athena swayed the others (this can connect to the Odyssey then too, because the majority of the gods already agreed that Odysseus had suffered enough and were quite willing to let him go).

I have additional thoughts on God Games, but that’s for another post since it detracts from the actual livestream, but overall I really enjoyed this one! It’s the first livestream I’ve seen in full, though I do think Thunder Saga was more impactful to watch (I watched that livestream too, but came in at the end of No Longer You).

it’s been a while since Fuyumi has adopted you. She was always busy with work and other things you did not need to know but she still made room for you, but half of the time it’s either your uncle Natsuo, Shoto or your grandpa babysitting you. Usually ends up with Natsuo. You’ve visited your grandma at the hospital one too many times and you wonder why she’s there, she isn’t hurt or anything right?

You were currently in school playing with your friends until your teacher made an announcement “ok everyone! Y/n will be leaving early today so say your goodbyes!” The teacher beamed, all that was heard were ‘awes’ and ‘bummer’ and ‘lucky…’ eventually everyone got over their little tantrums and said their goodbyes. You were guided towards the office as Fuyumi came in sight, you ran towards her wrapping your arms around her torso with your head buried in her stomach and you felt soft hands touch your head as you looked up making eye contact with Fuyumi “Hi mom! How was work?” You say excitedly. She smiled at you as she ruffled your hair “Y/n, sweetie! Can you give me a few minutes?” “Ok!”

Time passed by and Fuyumi was done talking with the staff. Both of you got in the car as you questioned“Mom, why did you pick me up from school early?” Fuyumi smiled at you again. “Well~ I though maybe me and my cute precious daughter can have a day out with just the two of us!” There were stars in your eyes showing you were indeed excited but you also got embarrassed at her statement of ‘my cute precious daughter’ “mom!!!” Fuyumi giggled as it seemed time passed by so fast that you two were already at your destination. Fuyumi and you got out of the car and we’re walking towards the play ground.

“Ahah! Mom come play with me!” You tugged at Fuyumi’s shirt wanting her to go down the slide with you. “Ok! Ok!” The both of you giggled as you were placed onto her lap, you put your arms in the up as you and Fuyumi slid down “WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Let’s go again!”

Now both of you were getting ice cream.

“Y/n which one do you want?” Fuyumi said pointing to a bunch of popsicle flavours displayed onto the ice cream truck. “I want chocolate!” “One chocolate ice cream with sprinkles please!” You beam at the fact that she remembers you like ice cream with sprinkles “alright one chocolate ice cream coming right up! Anything for you ma’am?” You proceed to chant the word ‘chocolate’ as the other two speak. “Ah! Yes I would like vanilla if it’s not a bother!” “One vanilla ice cream coming right up!” Fuyumi paid for the ice creams and you guys went for a short walk.

“This is the best day every!!!” You laughed and Fuyumi joined in the laughing with you. “Be careful with your ice cream! It’s melting!” Fuyumi said as she wiped your mouth with a tissue as you just smiled towards her.

Both of you were finally back home as you were being carried in Fuyumi’s arms “mom?” Fuyumi hummed in response. “Can we ever go out like this again someday?” You say getting sleepy by the time Fuyumi responded you were fast asleep. She giggled and kissed your forehead “of course.”

For all the lousy stuff that comes with it, it’s fun bein a kid- But when I’m an adult I won’t be a cool rebel for pulling the shit I do now, I’ll just be sort of a loser. I dunno how to process that sometimes. But it’s nice seeing all that confusion put into words as succinctly as you did.

Steve had never been particularly fond of the idea of aging, but he didn’t want to be a bum like Two-bit or a con like the Brumly boys. He realized when morning came, none of them would mention tonight. Not how it really was. <This is such a sad but significant insight. Both bits are- Steve’s acknowledgement of the fact that the future is coming, and the point that no one would talk about tonight- or at least not the real, raw, tragedy of it. You just don’t DO that, especially not as a group of teenage guys in the 60s, but even nowadays you don’t, least in my groups. And how can you? How can you make sense of that, of seeing something so gruesome and being so helpless…holy hell, I guess what I’m getting at is that this was a real observant point.

Their tears would be buried alongside their friends, and they’d come to accept some twisted narrative that served to make them feel better, instead. That’s what he’d do; make it about justice rather than loss. Feed his anger into some kind of action. He’d always been better with his hands than his words. <man I sound like a broken record here, but this is so real. I don’t like how true this rings. But like I do, yk? And god, it feels like so much of a STEVE thing to think, and a Steve way of saying it. You’ve really nailed his voice.

Anyhow, sorry for takin’ a minute to comment- after ao3 deleted the vast majority of my last one I couldn’t bring myself to type up anything substantial for a bit- but I needed to get it out at some point, because this is such an amazing fic. This bit of commentary just scratches the surface, because there’s so much I love here. Once again, great job.

I get that. I tend to romanticize the rebellious, both teen and adult. Idk maybe it’s because I’ve had a comfortable life and all but there’s also so much to go through and experience.

I’m glad this line is getting attention as I was really excited about being all poetic too! Lol, it seemed like the most expressive way to put it without having to over explain, I can’t even begin to imagine having to grapple with putting up such a distinct identity… though I imagine you’d have to pry the vest from Steve’s cold dead hands but we’re talking metaphorical.

Steve and the brand of masculinity all the guys are seeped in is such a fucking interesting thing to explore. Because there’s simultaneously so much fun with all the “boys will be boys” of it all but also… oh… you don’t know how to feel hard emotions in a healthy way.

Also just Steve has grown on me so much and I think it’s really being in his head and it’s he’s more than the best buddy and he has his place in the friend group. His loyalty and sensitivity may compare him to others in the gang but what’s great about him and them is that there’s other aspects that make even those emotions distinct to them.

AHHHHHHH after all this time we finally have the first chapter of VSGTSAS (Xaden's Ver.)!!!! I'm so excited about this one guys. Chapter 1 starts out a bit slow but we'll really begin tying up some of the open ended stuff from VSGTSAS in the next chapter :) I'm trying to be less critical of my own writing, so I posted this one without doing my usual 16 rounds of proof reads, so if you notice a plot hole, lmk so I can fix!

Summary:

Xaden Riorson - savvy businessman, senate candidate, rising political star - has many problems. One of them being Cat-sized.

Enter Violet Sorrengail - hotshot political crisis consultant, former college classmate/rival/flirtation/frenemy, general distraction when he can't afford one. His burgeoning political career depends on her making sure fake stories don't make it into the press. One minor problem - she hates his guts, which doesn't make pulling off the biggest spin of the election cycle any easier.

Xaden never could get a grasp on where Violet's animosity towards him came from, even though now he's certain it's deserved. But after years of separation, he quickly learns that some fires haven't cooled - for either of them. I school my expression before I can give my surprise away, but the way those hazel eyes narrow on me tells me I was half a second too late, and that she picked up on my reaction.

Ok, so now that we have confirmation that the Per Aspera one shot will be after this campaign I have had two thoughts:

Firstly, AHHHHHHH HOLY SHIT I’m so unreasonably excited for a thing that will happen in like 10 weeks.

Secondly, with my brain being as consumed by the gay robots as it is, I’m wondering if/to what extent will it come up. Assuming they at least mention Maxim and VR-LA’s ✨connection✨ I really wonder what form it will take in canon. Like, I love all the Professionals fanfics and conversations but I do feel like the characters that have come out of that are quite different from canon, especially considering the change in medium. 

Anyway, I wonder what stage those two will be in for the one shot and how much we will get to see. Here are my predictions in order from least to most amount we will be fed: 

A brief mention of “and sometimes VR-LA goes to other multiverses with Maxim and kinda gay about it”

An awkward “definitely not dating” phase where they’re both just a little flustered around each other.

It could be a long distance relationship, perhaps VR-LA and Maxim have a sendingstone conversation or sending each other letters.

And maybe before the adventure a scene showing where each character is before getting picked up by Dani. Professionals hanging out being nerds. A little forehead bonk goodbye would ruin me. 

And maybe maybe if Mystra decides to bless us we might actually see them get together in the first place, though this is unlikely considering the one shot will likely be about Kyana’s past. 

Anyway, we will see! Even if the Professionals don’t show up, it’ll be really great to see the Per Aspera crew again especially VR-LA. Though I will be sad to see Open And Shut end, I’ll miss Bileyg :(((

Hello 👀 I am here to deliver more Hobie scenarios

(Don’t worry, I’m done with chap 3 🤣 just need to reread it a couple more times and try not to let my hands edit it too much)

So… have you watched the movie Return to Me? If yes, then you see why I have this Hobie brainrot over this concept.

If not:

Older!Hobie is near death and in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant due to a chronic heart disease. His friends try to cheer him up, but he’s resigned to his fate until he finds out the hospital found a last minute donor for his surgery.

The surgery ends up being successful, with only a long surgical scar along his chest, and for the first time Hobie is able to live a normal life. He writes a letter to the donor’s family after the surgery, thanking them for saving his life, but it takes him a full year to send it due to nerves and worry about the family still grieving.

A few weeks after sending the letter, Hobie ends up meeting R while she’s dealing with a shitty blind date, and they instantly get drawn to each other, resulting in R ditching the date for him and they ride off into the sunset (creative liberties were made for this detail lol).

Their relationship starts to blossom after that. As they get closer, Hobie is reluctant to tell R about his medical history, but R is a little more candid with her history talking about how she’s recently a widow and that she just wants to take the relationship slow, which is something Hobie appreciates, and they gradually fall in love.

After about half a year of dating, he finally decides to tell R about his heart transplant, only to find the letter he sent several months back in R’s house. Finally putting the dots together in horror, he flees from R’s house, leaving R confused and hurt by his sudden departure.

I am not organized enough to write anything for this but I can freestyle some ideas so – birthday hats on everybody, streamers and cake:  let’s go with some Killer of Men Widowisms.  Um, proceed with caution I guess, but it’s probably pretty tame.

Okay so who is Tess in this scenario and why is she doing it?  A contract killer or out for her own kicks?  I like the sound of the latter to differentiate from anything else I’ve done.

So let’s go full serial killer with this one.  She’s organised, in control of her desires and travels for work, so she never chooses marks in her own backyard.  She aborts more kills than she follows through with because she’s so meticulous that her marks meet very specific criteria and things can’t be traced back to her.

She likes to drug them before they get started as  physical advantage but changes up the method of actual murder to try and eliminate falling into traceable patterns.

Sometimes she goes years between kills and as a result, when she picks Joel up in a bar she’s feeling particularly itchy.  This guy seems kind of nice.  She might ordinarily let this fish go, nice men don’t deserve messy ends.

But as their time together progresses she starts to get another vibe off him, and thinks maybe he’s not quite so nice as she thought.

So just as she’s about to unhook him she decides to go through with it, even though her instincts are undecided about what is actually going on.

They go back to her motel room, she drugs his drink but she’s still not sure, something’s off.  They get it on and he doesn’t really seem to respond to the effects of the drug she gave him, but she’s so intrigued by being unable to figure him out that she doesn’t pay it the attention she should. 

He’s rougher with her than she’d normally tolerate but she likes it – it’s exciting not really knowing if she’s in control or not, she’s always in control, and this uncertainty really thrills her.

They have ~amazing chemistry ofc

She doesn’t try to kill him when she normally would at point of climax.  She tells herself she’ll give it a few hours and maybe try again.

While Joel’s in the bathroom she examines his drink and the bottle of pills in her bag.  Counts them, she definitely gave it to him but … what’s that?  These pills aren’t hers.  These are not her drugs.

Joel opens the door and he’s like, “You think I didn’t see that comin’ a mile away?”

Tess:  “Did you go through my purse?  Those are my motion sickness pills,” blah blah lie lie.

And Joel tosses the pills on the bed.  “Those are cheatin’, sweetheart.  Where’s the fun if you don’t have to fight for it?”

Serial Killer Tess, meet Serial Killer Joel.

For his part, Joel was preying on her in turn and cottoned on when he caught her spiking his drink, which he then dealt with with some slick sleight of hand and swapped the rest of the pills while she was distracted on a phone call or something (idk)

Joel considered playing along and pretending to be drugged - he thought she was just going to rob him and liked the idea of turning the tables on her at some critical moment (surprise!serial killer, baby!)

But as it went on he realised she had no interest in robbing him, and he started recognising himself in her, and realised what was ACTUALLY her game

And yeah he liked that

So he let it all evolve but while she was courting the idea of killing him, as was he with her

So when he announced himself she finally got it and she was like, "Who the fuck are you?"

And he's all, "who the fuck are YOU?"

Sick professional meet and greet, each very impressed they've never even heard of each other

But they're successful because nobody knows their secret ... so only one person can leave in the morning, right?

READY FOR WHAT??????? Oh my goodness. I— I just— I have no words. I am screeching. Bods, there are so, so many things that happened in this chapter. I am so shaken up. I feel like my insides were in a blender. It’s so exciting to see all of these plot points and hints and through lines and motifs that you’ve been laying out and I am just over the moon about everything. You have created  a  n o v e l, and it’s gorgeous. I am disintegrating. I can feel my molecules breaking up. I read a book once where a lady cried acidic material and when she started sobbing she just sunk into a hole in the floor and that’s what I’m feeling right now.

I think I need a nap. I don’t have any idea how to articulate this. Just know that you’ve done amazingly. Just. You are absolutely incredible, my friend. I can feel these characters living and breathing in the letterings and you somehow make it new and fresh material every time, no matter the fact that I’ve seen the show or how often I’ve reread your work. Each of the characters takes on such a vibrancy of life and independence under your guidance, and I adore getting to “meet” them and learn how they work in your narrative. Just stupendous
