Okay so there’s 5 islands in Frontiers. 3 of them have you saving friends, so what are you doing in the other two? I initially thought it could be Shadow and Rouge for the other two, but it’s been confirmed Shadow is not in the game and that pretty much rules out the other Team Dark members. And I’m not sure exactly how they would work in Silver or Blaze. It has been said there will be side characters other than Big, so maybe we could see Cream again and get the Sonic X team back together.

As for the 5th island. maybe the sonic you're playing as is simply a projection of his conciousness and you have to free him. We see Amy doing it in some of the leaked cutscenes and a couple screenshots. And while, yeah, okay, Sonic looks a bit more solid, maybe that's just because idk he's Sonic? He's the chosen one and is one of the most powerful characters in the franchise. Actually I believe this is mentioned in the opening cutscene by the unknown AI voice. That he's a key I believe. And like, how comes he was the only one to escape Cyberspace? Why did his friends get put in weird glitchy death spheres whilst he just escapes? I feel there’s something more to this.
