you don't know what brought you two together. maybe it was the magnetic energy that he had to him, or maybe it was the way your personalities completed each other perfectly. either way, you found yourself wishing your paths never crossed a bit too often.

you and jude weren't anything serious, it was ‘less complicated’ this way according to him. you hung out with your shared friends and when everyone else was heading home, you would share a uber to his house or yours. it was simple really, you both got what you wanted by the end of the night.

and tonight, you needed him to take your mind off this awful day. you couldn't wait for him to make you forget about those stupid exams and these stupid arguments with your friends.

you didn't take the time to greet him like you usually did before kissing jude's lips, maybe bolder than he expected. his fingers gripped your jaw and forced you to slow down and separate from him.

“what's with you tonight?”, you could only roll your eyes at his comment, small talk being the last thing on your mind tonight. thankfully, your fingers raking the skin under his shirt was enough to shut him up. “i just need you, please jude.”

his eyes closed, it was hard to resist your pleas but your voice had a tone that was different than usual and he didn't want you to do something you might regret later, “no, you need to tell me what's going on, we're not doing anything if you don't.”

“fuck off, you never ask me about anything and suddenly you're interested in what's going on?” you couldn't understand the sudden switch in his behavior, it had always been just sex, why complicate it now? “i just need you to kiss me, take off my clothes, and make me feel good, is this too much to ask for?” you could feel your eyes well up in tears the more you spoke, already frustrated by your day, and not wanting to argue with him.

“it's fine if you don't want to have sex, i'll just text someone else.”, of course you didn't mean a word that came out of your mouth, if anything you would leave and cry yourself to sleep in your bed. jude's thumbs wiped tears that you didn't notice were falling before cupping your face in his hands. his eyes looked into yours in a way you weren't used to, your eyes fell on the floor from the intensity of his gaze, but two of his fingers were already tilting your face up, forcing you to make eye contact with him.

the silence between the two of you was becoming embarrassing, “i'm sorry about… all of this, i'll just go. sorry.” you couldn't even turn your back to him before his hand found your wrist, “you're not going anywhere. stay the night, please.”

you couldn't hide the frown on your face, confused by his words, “but you said you wouldn't…” the boy in front of you dramatically pretended to get offended, “this information might surprise you, but my life doesn't revolve around sex.” the giggles that escaped your mouth brought back a smile on both your lips.

jude's hand brought you to his room, although you knew the way all too well already, the warmth of his hand in yours brought you a sense of comfort that you didn't know you longed for. he handed you a shirt that was probably twice your size but would be perfect to sleep in. you embarrassingly looked around you before asking him to turn around, he complied but laughed his back now facing you.

“i've seen you naked so many times already, you shouldn't care about this love” heat was creeping up your face thinking about what he was hinting at, “s’ just different that's all…” your voice was barely audible, and you couldn't even tell if jude heard your words. you got under his sheets and told him he could turn around, his bed now significantly warmer with him next to you.

even with his eyes shut, jude could tell you were tense laying next to him ramrod straight. you felt his arm around you pull you closer, your face now nuzzled into the crook of his neck.

you felt him shift a bit, and kiss the crown of your hair. the action made you heart skip a beat or two and relax more. you hoped you did a good job at pretending to be asleep because you didn't want to deal with the consequences of his ambiguous gestures in the morning. his fingers slowly stroking your hair were lulling you to sleep for real this time.

jude stopped once he heard your light snores and pressed on one more kiss on top of your head. he didn't let himself fall into the arms of morpheus though, already thinking about how he would fix whatever he started tonight.

Designs under the cut!

GRACE:

The light scars/ cracks on her body were injuries formed while she was accidentally sent through Turo's time machine. Unlike the paradox pokemon/ miraidon, GrAce's body isn't made of iron or metal, so her body wasn't able to withstand the large amount of tera energy used to power the machine as easily as the paradox pokemon were.

Luckily, she was just barely able to hold out against the time machine's energy until she made it to Turo's lab in the present day. Unfortunately, she can't be sent back because she would literally die if she went through the time machine again. Sooooo she's stuck in the modern era.

Very familiar with Area Zero and the various pokemon that reside down there, but moved out in order to continue producing music as well as familiarize herself with current-day Paldea.

She only vaguely know Clavell back when he was a rebellious teenager, though she didn't know his name. Clavell, on the other hand, was one of her biggest fans back in the 50s-60s.

Funny enough, when she sees "Clive" for the first time, she recognizes him! But not as Director Clavell, she just barely recognizes him as the random teenage fan that would occasionally ask her to sign various GrAce posters he had bought. She is also under the belief that he too, was sent from the past into the present, unaware that he simply just grew up.

Likes doing random poses for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

BRAIDY:

Believes that everything can be solved without violence, but can and will throw hands if need be.

Everyone in Braidy's family greet each other by playfully ramming into one another. So when Peppy and his team were getting chased down by Braidy's family during their journey, they weren't trying to attack them, they just wanted to say hi!

Braidy is really good with kids due to his experience with being the eldest sibling, as he'd often have to take care of his younger siblings.

Speaking of Mykyie, the lighter parts of Braidy's fur appeared only after Mykyie passed...

As of now, he's still an apprentice, but he has great potential to become an all powerful wizard... someday.

CHRISTENE'S:

Their stomachs are basically voids, so every time they eat the food just disappears, which is why they're ALWAYS hungry.

✦ how i got into them: this is a really weird story that I'm just gonna tell bc I can and I will -- I saw Jii (cover artist on Youtube) uploaded a short of her Chinese cover of Midas Touch & Jordan Orme (also a youtuber) analyzed the music video… but tbh I was annoyed to see it everywhere RIP LOL and then eventually watched Jii’s short and was like “wait this is actually so banger” so I watched the Midas Touch MV then watched Jordan Orme dissect it .. then idk how but eventually I just went on a KIOF listening spree, listened to all their discography and the rest is history >3< I will say I feel like the moment I was like "yeah i love them to death" is when I watched their midas touch part switch dance; i feel like it really showed off their fun energy and made them feel very real, in a way.

(Do people still look for these?? Anyway.) My name's Syifa but you can also call me Lyss (my pronouns are she/her). I'm 20 and i'm currently studying pharmacy in university. I'm a huge cat person, a Bisexual Mess, and also just a girl trying her best. I honestly haven't written in a while because of the chaos that is uni life... I'm trying to get back to it but it seems unlikely. I still love talking about my WIPs and writing tho!! A little bit about me and my writing:

I currently have 2 active WIPs and 5 loose story concepts that I still refer to as WIPs. Edit: WIP intro post out now! If you want to, please check it out and give it a lil reblog ;)

I write and read mostly sci-fi and fantasy, in a lot of its varieties. I do have to say that I'm more of a, futuristic-society-and-advanced-AI kinda gal instead of an alien-civilization kinda gal.

As for my fantasy preferences, urban fantasy and classic, high fantasy has my heart. I haven't read much in a while tho.

I also like the occasional romance reads. It's kinda a guilty pleasure lol. Sometimes you have a rough day and you just gotta read about two friends slowly falling in love... as a treat.

Yes i like friends to lovers better than enemies to lovers. Fight me.

My other favorite tropes include: found family, normally calm characters becoming feral, gruff older characters involuntarily becoming a guardian for a small child, and there's more but i can't think of them rn

I also write interactive fiction! I've only tried Choicescript tho, bc I can't Art and Twine scares me. One of my active WIP is an IF, actually!

As far as personality goes:

He is not a nice person. While he seems rather laid back and as if nothing could ever bother him, he will talk down on you, use you for his own advantage, sell you out if he thinks the offer is good enough. He will manipulate and use you to his whims. His constant smile and ability to wrap words around makes it almost impossible to discern his true feeling. Truthfully, he might not be able to ID them himself. He can be nice and he will be if he thinks it will help him win you over.

But if you want more about how he is, you will have to look up the Information tag (and the one on the old blog).

A very short breakdown on rules:

he won't know who you are unless you are (for now) Topaz. If you want him to, you can mention it before (that does exclude OCs that are a integral part of the IPC, obviously he should've heard of those before). He might have heard of you if you're known to the IPC however.

"Can I be honest for a second?" Magnus asked, which was always a good way to start a conversation. Lucretia paused, her hand stalling over the drawing she had been doing of him. Magnus was sitting cross-legged on her bed, trying to figure out the Fantasy Rubik's Cube that Taako had given him earlier. Lucretia had no plans of telling him it was enchanted to never be able to solve.

"If you want to be?" Lucretia said.

"I'm..." Magnus glanced over his shoulder as if someone would be listening in on them. Lucretia was pretty sure that if anyone wanted to do that, they would have given up fifteen minutes ago when Magnus started yelling at the Rubik's Cube. "I lied. On my application."

Not so subtly, Lucretia opened to a new page in her journal.

"Oh?" she said.

"Not like, a big lie," Magnus said. "In fact, it probably doesn't even matter anymore, because technically it's not a lie anymore. But I feel bad about it. And I figured that no one can really kick me off the ship anymore, with the resets and everything, so!"

"You've intrigued me," Lucretia said. "Go on."

"I'm not actually twenty-two," Magnus said. "Or, I wasn't. I'm twenty-one."

"I already knew that," Lucretia said, slightly disappointed. She was hoping for something like "I killed Greg Grimaldis before Lup got the chance to" or "last cycle when I said I didn't steal your hair conditioner, I actually did, I'm so sorry, I'll buy you some more" or even something like "It's actually me that's been eating all the dirt from Merle's greenhouse, I'm just letting Merle take the blame."

Maybe the lack of drama is something she should be thankful for what with the yearly apocalypse.

"What!?" Magnus said, dropping the Rubik's Cube. "How??"

"You got kicked out of your middle school football team because you punched your teammate. That also got you suspended."

"Darwin deserved it and I stand by that," Magnus said, lifting his nose into his air. Lucretia chuckled. "What else you got? Anyone else get suspended? Ooh, ooh! How old are Taako and Lup actually? Because they said they were four-twenty but I think they're just fucking with me."

"I can't disclose that information," Lucretia said. Magnus groaned, rolling his eyes. "But one time Barry got detention for throwing a pickle in someone's face and hitting them in the eye."

"Oh hell yes," Magnus said. "Give me more."

"Merle's got a criminal credit on the account that he has repeatedly tried to steal various plants from different areas, including the IPRE's director's office."

"Sounds about right!"

"Taako was one admitted to a hospital for severe burns on the same day Lup conveniently nearly got arrested for setting a store on fire," Lucretia said, getting into it now. "Davenport's got six older siblings and four younger ones. Merle got caught eating mulch from Fantasy Home Depot's garden department. I'm actually nineteen. Barry is banned from a Fantasy Party City in a town called Redwater because-"

"Wait, wait, wait," Magnus said. "Repeat that again."

"Barry got banned from-"

"No, the one before that," Magnus said. "You're nineteen?"

"You just told me you lied about your age too!" Lucretia said. "If anything, I was just following your lead."

"I added six months to my age!" Magnus said. "Not- not-"

"Four years," Lucretia said before she could stop herself. Damn. She needed to stop talking.

"How the hell did I think you were twenty-three," Magnus said, staring at her. "You look so young!"

"You told me literally yesterday I looked like I could be thirty," Lucretia said drily.

"That was a joke," Magnus dismissed. "Luce. Lucretia. Oh my gods."

"Dude, your top surgery is choice," Carey says the moment Magnus's shirt is over his head and off. He preens a little because he deserved to. And because it was choice. He's very happy with the results. But then Carey adds, "Who'd you get it done by?"

"Oh! Uh," and here's where the problem lies. "I... don't remember."

"You don't remember," Carey repeats, sounding a little disbelieving. Killian looks over to them now and squints at Magnus's chest.

"Uhhh," Magnus says. "Nope."

"Did you get like, black market top surgery, or?"

"I... don't think so," Magnus says.

"Magnus," Killian says, "if you hadn't left your packer in the middle of our goddamn bathroom-" Magnus grins a little sheepishly and Carey laughs. "-I would literally not know you were trans. I don't even see any scars."

"It's been a while since I got it done," Magnus says.

"Which was when?" Carey prompts. At Magnus's face, she throws her hands up. "You don't remember!"

"It was a while ago!" Magnus says. "I was like- I don't know, twenty-one? Ish? Twenty-two?"

"Magnus," Carey says. She puts her foam sparring halberd down and comes over to him. "Magnus, did you just wake up one morning with them gone? This-" she looks on the verge of laughter. "This is serious."

"If I tell you the truth, you're gonna laugh," Magnus says.

"Magnus," Carey says, laughing anyway. "How do you forget a whole fucking surgery?"

"It wasn't a surgery, it was a spell," Magnus says, because he knows that much.

"Pretty sure that's not a thing," Killian says.

"Why else do they call it transmutation, then, huh?" Carey buries her head into Magnus's side, snorting with laughter. "Look, I know it was a spell. I know it. Do I know who did it? N-"

"Was it Taako?" Carey interrupts, full of giggles. Magnus pauses.

...Was it Taako?

"No," he said, shaking his head. "I met Taako like, last year. I'm pretty sure I would remember if he did my top surgery. Top spellery? Is that anything?"

"It's nothing," Carey says. "I'm-" she wipes her eye, clearing her throat. "Maybe it's like, a voidfish thing. Like, maybe the Director fucked up-"

"And specifically erased Magnus's top surgery?" Killian asks doubtfully.

"It's a big fish," Carey says, which just seems to make Killian more confused, but Magnus nods in understanding.

"It's a big fish, Killian," he says.

"Are we gonna fucking spar or not?" Killian asks. "I came here to beat ass not uncover Magnus's whole backstory."

"My backstory is actually pretty simple," Magnus says and Carey groans, retracting herself from him. "I was born in Raven's Roost on a swelteringly hot day-"

Killian hits him over the head with her foam halberd.

When Barry is twenty-two, he picks up a heart-shaped locket in a thrift store and decides to buy it for his mom. The only issue is that he can't see the get the damn thing open. He tries, quite literally, everything he can think of. He tries messing with the catch, tries soaking it in hot water to get it easier to open, tries getting a pair of tweezers between the front and back, but it won't budge. For all intents and purposes, the locket is stuck shut and will remain so.

Barry... doesn't give it to his mom. It would feel kind of disingenuous if he can't even put a picture inside it. But he doesn't take it back either. He meant to, for sure, but instead, it sits in the second cup holder of his car for years until he finally has someone riding with him and they try to put their cup down. Then, it stays in his pocket.

Barry is fifty-two and the locket is now a keepsake, a good luck charm, a fidget toy, whatever he needs. He wears it around his neck unless he's in the lab, then he puts it in his pocket. Years ago, when his mom had died, he had held onto it until he couldn't feel his hands anymore and it had left a heart-shaped imprint on his skin. It means something now, even if he can't open it.

He doesn't want to open it anymore. At least, he didn't think he did.

Barry is fifty-two and a half when he's sitting on the steps leading up to the lab, head in his hands. His car had broken down on the way over here and he really didn't have the means to fix it anymore, which meant he was either going to have to ride the bus (a bad idea, seeing as the nearest bus stop was two and a half miles away and Barry's body already had aches and pains) or find someone to carpool with.

Barry is fifty-two and a half when someone comes to sit next to him on the steps.

"Hey," she says. Barry looks up and is confronted with perhaps the most beautiful woman he has ever seen in his life. "I like your locket."

"Oh, uhm, this?" Barry holds the locket up by the chain. He had been messing with it because that's what he does when he's nervous now. "Thanks, but it's not much."

"Where'd you get it?" she asks. The locket glints a little in the morning light.

"A thrift store that, heh, that they tore down years ago. Sorry to disappoint."

"It's cool," she says. "Does it have a picture inside of it?"

"Maybe?" Barry says, scratching the back of his head. "I don't really know, I've never been able to open it."

"Want me to take a stab at it?" she asks. Barry would usually say no here. After the first dozen people had asked him that, he started to get a little worn out of the question. Really, he has no reason to trust that this woman would be any different. Or that she wouldn't just run off with it. But...

"Sure," he says, handing it to her.

Barry is fifty-two and a half when the woman takes the locket from him and rubs her thumb over the top of it gently. There's a very, very small click! and she pops it open.

"How- how in the world did you do that?" Barry asks, amazed. The woman presses her thumb to the picture inside, smiling affectionately. When she passes it back over to him, she says,

"It used to belong to my husband."

The picture inside is definitely her, at least on one side of the locket. On the other side, there's room for a second photo. It's in black and white, but the faces that look up at him are very familiar. The woman, on the left, with her hair pinned back. She has her arm around a man and they're both smiling like there was no one in the world they could love more than each other.

But Barry's hands are shaking. Because the man next to the woman isn't just anybody.

It's him.

"I think we have a lot of catching up to do," the woman says.

"Who are you?" Barry breathes, clutching the locket to his chest.

"Lup," she says with a smile that sends Barry's heart over the moon, even if his head has no idea what's happening. She offers her hand and Barry takes it, breathless. "I was beginning to think I missed you this time around, babe."

Hi dear anon! Forgive me if i'm answering after days. I actually find it very sweet that I reblogged one single song from zayn and I have summoned a wave of nostalgia jhfgdsa. I really don't mind it bc I love those memories and I actually loved those losers (affectionate). Still listen to them occasionally and memorabilia is still there in my room and there it stays, no shame. collective pop culture is a great thing that shapes generations (we like it or not).

From what I gather from keeping up occasionally when I feel nostalgic: I think they all kind of came to terms with everything? I saw a recent interview of Louis cause he talked about Zayn and I actually found it very sweet how he said he does understand more of it now. I actually really appreciate Louis as a person. I kind of thought of Harry as a pettier person but he was also nice enough when he talked about Zayn recently?

To be fair I think they all knew about his ED. I know a lot of their fans are still very delusional and find stuff when they are not there (the first rule always was: do not believe anything they say). But one thing that actually makes sense to me is that story of Harry never singing "weigh" in little things in the last half of 2014 (which was when Zayn said his disorder was at its worst and it was so apparent looking back at it now. It makes me so uncomfortable when I see videos & pics of that time. You know? That's also a very sensitive topic to me so yeah I feel so sorry for him, he looked so fragile and yet we were all here stanning him and thinking he looked like a Disney prince then...I'm glad those days are over yeah? I still find Four the best album and I have fond memories of it but they really looked terribly exhausted). I don't want to sound delusional and I certainly don't want to cuddle a white man for doing the bare minimum but seems to me very obvious he knew about it from the way he used to look at him while (not) singing that and from a lot of dynamics. and so the others. I guess it was mostly about the way he left in the middle of that tour, but it's been 8 years now...really feels like a lifetime. Sure they were rich and privileged, but what happened to them in terms of overwork and exhaustion really should not happen again (5 albums and 4 world tours in 5 years? How is that ...yeah) I think they all suffered much and they certainly know it and hint at that all the time. If they come back in years and on their own terms, that'll be very sweet (and i'll be there too! lool)

Demons. Nakedness. Awkward all around. The works. But how that meeting became a friendship that I wouldn't trade the world for is so important to me. I'd love to go back to England and see Emmy again soon and hope the world will let me.

✿ RP PET PEEVES/DEALBREAKERS:    starting with the basic, i'd say most people would agree that hate and drama is a big dealbreaker and I'm one of them. But some of my other pet peeves are people who come into your ask/ims and guilt trip you. And I'm pretty uncomfortable with large amounts of nsf.w, specifically imagery. If your blog is like 3 pages of nsf.w on any given day, blacklist is probably breaking down on my dash and cant block it all. And I'm super easily squicked out by sexual imagery. But that's about it.

✿ fluff, angst or smut:  smut is never an option on this blog. and while I've tried dabbling into it again with my older muses, my fluctuating nature of squickiness about smut can be limiting so it's very very very rare. Of the other two, I used to be well known for writing ONLY angst, but over time I've got much better at writing fluff. But i'm a sucker at exploring trauma, trauma reaction and the emotional outcomes, so more than likely my longer threads are angstier than fluffy.

✿ plots or memes: i want to say both, because plots can be so thereapeautic to see them through. But for me memes are ALWAYS easier to work with. I'm nervous about plotting and can almost NEVER think of anything on the spot when someone says "hey let's plot" and it ruins the vibe. However, if I ever have a thought about our characters or vice versa, I am hELLA ready to slam into DMs.

✿ long or short replies: preference for long replies because I'm a big sucker for novella level emotions. on the other hand, I know I struggle to write a lot. And I'm sure my partner's run into the same thing as well, so sometimes short things are a good way to continue building character dynamics without as much effort or plotting.

✿ best time to write:    when i'm not absolutely dying from exhaustion or mental health issues. I have such a chaotic activity, I'm aware. And I wish it wasn't like that but sometimes my brain just says 'nope' and that's been a lot lately too.

Honestly though, I find that I write a LOT better when I'm at work because when I'm NOT on a call, there's really not much else to do once base chores are done. But at the same time it's at the whim of the EMS gods if I have the chance to sit down and write at all or if I get interrupted in the middle of my flow. Doesn't really matter what time of day though.

✿ are you like your muse(s):   if I'm being honest - most of my muses have SOME bits and pieces of me mixed in. They say write what you know and all that. And as my comfort muse, I'll admit that Kit is a LOT more like me than the rest. While I'm by no means an escaped science experiment that's been brainwashed, a lot of Kit's interaction with the world and in particular her autistic traits, are very heavily based on my own or how I perceived the world in some cases. In other ways we are very different - I am not a nature encyclopedia for one. And also cannot punch to save my life.

/ just feel like specifying for anyone who isn't aware, but if I owe you something for what feels like a long time the reply is probably actually done and drafted, but I leave things in my drafts for a while nowadays. since I have, at this moment, literally thirty ongoing threads, I try to complete what I have first. when I finish or catch up close enough, I post a reply or two. I also just don't want everything coming back to me all at once and then I stare at everything and do nothing.

basically I'm just trying not to get overwhelmed while also spacing my posts out more to keep the blog updated/active. the more stuff I hoard for a long time, the less I have coming back to me until most of it is in my hands and then I can better know what to expect will be coming back to me. mainly because like, this is supposed to be fun and I suspect if I find myself staring down some like ten new replies in my drafts that I haven't started yet because I had a couple off days where I didn't do anything, it's going to make my muse walk in and walk out. you know. like those gifs. also, it really does help to draft things and keep them for those consecutive off days.

mainly mentioning this because I still reblog starter memes for one offs (and potential starters that may happen along the way), and I think maybe some of y'all might be wondering why I'm doing that when I haven't gotten back to xyz thread in a while. I'm not against starting new things, so this doesn't mean I'll hold back on interacting or want any of you to. I still consider all one off interactions to be valuable to our muses' relationship and give it a boost in whatever direction. I just don't want to get overwhelmed by like say, five people in one day unintentionally all dropping me a reply and then I already had like five in drafts unfinished and now I do not want to look at my drafts lol.

Okay, so, since I'm asking this everyone that I'm starting new threads with these days, I figured instead of typing the whole stuff everytime anew, I could also simply make a post that I then can link whenever I wanna ask these things.

Please don't reblog this post, I'm not writing this with the intention of having it be a widespread PSA or the likes (I dread the notification-amount I would get if it became one), it's just a post where I place the questions and answers I'd like to offer those I wanna talk to this stuff about. I mean, honestly, if we're mutuals I might/would likely be okay with you reblogging it, if you wanna keep it on your blog or something. But please, at the very least if we aren't mutuals, don't reblog it. Link others to it, if you must, but please don't reblog. I really don't want the mess of notifications.

The rest below the cut, but as for the question I'd be asking before sending you this:

Do you know of the new way of cutting posts, and/or about Xkit Rewritten?

First off - this is not a very detailed tutorial or the likes. I'm not giving a illustrated step-by-step or anything like that; if you want one of those I can recommend this one (I've linked it to a few people before).

Okay, so, I'm trying to start at the beginning.

What is Xkit Rewritten?

You know Xkit? What you confirm with 'yes' right now probably refers to what's called 'New Xkit'. That already, as the name tells, was a remake of an earlier version of Xkit - or so I assume at least. Now, Xkit Rewritten basically is the new 'New Xkit' - I think it's only maintained by one person of the original Xkit, but again, that's just from how I understand it.

In other words, it's the extension/addon you need if you want Xkit's features to keep working (at least those that get adapted over). If you don't know of Xkit Rewritten yet, you'll have found at least some - if not by now all - of Xkit's extensions not working anymore. Like the mutual checker, "shorten posts", and probably a lot more but I quite honestly never used that many of them so I wouldn't even know if a good bunch doesn't work anymore. Xkit Rewritten has at the very least some of those extensions - the mutual checker for example - as well, and since it's the newer Xkit, those actually work.

I'm sure you can find it easily on your own, but in case not, here's a link which will forward you to your needed place of downloading, depending on your browser.

Does it work on mobile?

I'm rather certain it does NOT work for the app. I have no idea if you can install extensions in the mobile browsers (I doubt it though), so I can't tell you about that. If you can install extensions, perhaps you could also install Xkit Rewritten. I don't know, sorry.

Why would I need it? The old way of cutting posts, the way we all know, still works!

Well. Yes, it does, but only when you do the opt-out of the beta editor. (I think by now you can use the beta editor on old-way-cut posts after you cut them and saved them as draft? Although I'm not sure if that was just a glitch of sorts or if that's actually the case - but like, same thing, you still need to use the legacy editor to actually use the old cutting)

As much as some might have disliked the beta editor when it first came out, or perhaps you still do - the fact is that eventually, it will be the only editor. I assume that that will still take a while, since there still seems to be a good bunch of things that they wanna fix or still need to make the beta editor be able to do, but, one day it's gonna come. Personally, I'd advise to get used to the new things as they come (or like, shortly after they are brought to us), because it'll probably be nicer when you already know what to do once the switch fully happens, instead of panicking then and starting to learn your way through a new method.

Also, but recent experiences of my own allowed me to use the beta editor on old-way-cut posts too, the new editor does have a few nice little things that you don't have right away available in the buttons on the legacy editor. Colored text, for example, and those fancy text types. You don't need to go into coding for those anymore with the beta editor.

And another reason - I'm not sure, but I think that glitch is still there where, if an icon is at the end of the reply, the next person's first part of the reply will also be indented (or, I think, look like it on the dash at least? Something like that). Since the trimming (aka the new cutting) works a little different than the editable reblogs (aka the old cutting), that won't be happening anymore. In fact, you won't be able to edit your partner's reply at all anymore. Which also means that, if you were doing that so far, you can't edit in the name of the partner-muse in the url, or do similar changes to that part.

One last thing: As far as I understand it, you are able to trim the post later too, as in after writing your reply, even after posting. Just click the little symbol, and it's trimmed down to only the previous reply.

What do I need to use it?

Basically, nothing else than you always needed. Your computer, your browser, the Xkit-Addon (just, now the new one - I recommend keeping both for now though).

Take care to make the start of a new thread in the beta editor though, the new trimming can't work with legacy posts. If you want to make older posts of yours edittrimmable through the new method, you will also need the mobile app to make a change (non-visible is enough even, like adding a space somewhere after a sentence or so) to the very source-post (aka the very first part of the whole thread) - or you just make a new post and continue from there.

How do I use the trimming?

Okay, so, first off, you need to make sure that above point is checked. Either it's a post you made or edited on mobile, or it's a post you make new (I think you need to do that with the beta editor for it to work), just, it has to be of the right type.

Once you have that, and I assume you have Xkit Rewritten installed and "Trim Reblogs" activated within that, it really isn't that much of a task.

You reblog a thing like you always would. Press the reblog-icon on the post (or on the blog or whereever), save it as draft, or whatever your action of choice is. (You can also write on it right there, if that's what you do, though I can't guarantee you that that works, but given the trimming still works when you have already posted your thing, it should still work if you type your reply right away and only then draft/queue/post it.) Now, you go to where your post is now. In my case, that's usually in the drafts. There, in the post-footer (where you also find the symbols for deleting or editing the post) you will see a little scissor-symbol. Click on that, and voila - you're done. Your post is trimmed, and you can now edit on it or leave it there or whatever exactly your next step is.

So should I just remove 'new Xkit' already?

I wouldn't do that yet. A lot of people are still using the old cutting of posts. It has problems, and causes things, but people are used to it and if you switch entirely to the new method, you won't be able to cut the posts that people with the old cutting cutted.

I personally very much prefer the trimming, but I still use both Xkits - and whatever trimming/cutting that I need for a thread - in order to keep my things cut with some people adapting and some keeping the old cutting.

Does it cost me anything to use it?

Outside of the fee for your internet, and, like, the electricity of your computer and so on? No. (Although if you have the money to spare, I'm sure the one that put in all this effort of coding Xkit for us, making it a whole new version of it and so on, would appreciate some financial "thank you", or however to call it. You would need to look that up yourself though.)

ೃ Christmas finally approaches and your daughter, Hikari, can’t wait to spend it with the best parents ever. 

"Mommy! Daddy! Wake up it's Christmas!"

You hear your 6 year old daughter, Hikari, say as she charges into your room. You groggily get up whilst your still explosive and temperamental husband, Katsuki gets up with a loving smile on his face that you always see when his daughter enters his field of vision.

He never ever forgets to smile when he sees Hikari.

You and Hikari are two of the most important people in his life and he can't say that he's a perfect father nor is he a perfect pro-hero.

Yet as he grew older and as he developed his relationship with you, he learned to mellow down just a little bit albeit he still always retained his headstrong and rash behavior, he could never dare to show that to Hikari. He may not be the perfect pro-hero because let's face it, no one is.

But, to you, he's the perfect father to the most precious soul that the two of you had produced with your love, your daughter.

"Morning, Hikari." Katsuki says with a gentle smile and a gruff morning tone. You turn to him and rest your head on his shoulder. He pats his lap indicating Hikari to sit on it. She shuffles to the edge of the bed, crawls on top of the covers and sits on her dad's lap.

"Morning, Daddy! Morning, Mommy!" She says brightly. "Look! Look! I've been practicing my quirk!" She says, producing a twinkle of light in the palm of her hands. "Soon, I'll just be as good as you Daddy!"

"You've got a long way to go still, Kiddo. But, I'm proud of you! Good job!" He ruffles his daughter's hair, she yelps a cute "hey!" as her father continues to tease her.

She's got your (h/c) hair, Bakugo's fiery and passionate ruby-colored orbs, his intelligence, his feisty demeanor, and your selfless kindness. She's the perfect mix of you two, they say.

"I wanna go walk and when we go back home can we have hot chocolate and open presents, please!?" You smile and run your fingers through her hair. "Of course, love." She smiles widely and jumps off the bed. "Let's go, then!" She then runs to her room, almost tripping on the way there.

You and Katsuki look at each other and laugh.

Later that night, the three of you are cuddling by the fireplace with hot cocoa in your hands.

Hikari yawns and falls asleep with her head on your lap. You smile, taking her hot cocoa out  of her hand, and covering her with a blanket.

You look up to see Katsuki looking at you with a small smile on his face.

There was nothing but love and tenderness in his eyes. His eyes were that of a warm scarlet hue.  His shoulders were relaxed and his usual rough and intimidating exterior was nowhere present in his entire face.

 You could see directly through him and it's these rare times where you can't help but just fall in love with him all over again and just relive the relationship you have with him til this point.

How much he's changed and how much he's grown. He's come a long way from being the newly graduated Pro Hero Dynamight to Katsuki Bakugo, the loving father of the actual sparkle in your life, Hikari Bakugo.

"What?" You say with a chuckle, raising your eyebrow at him. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

As much as he desires to be perfect himself, he thought to himself that life could never become better and more blissful than this.

Katsuki scoots closer to you, putting a hand on your shoulder, and planting a kiss on your forehead.

"I know you'd be a good mother." He whispers. You laugh and kiss his cheek. 'You're the better parent." You say. "You literally switch to a softer version of your eruptive self whenever she's around." He snickers, shaking his head as he plants another kiss. This time on your lips.

"I love you." He kisses you again. He begins to trail down kisses on your neck until-

"KABOOM!" Hikari suddenly rises up from the couch, she raises her hands, yet her eyes are closed.

She was talking in her sleep

"Take that Bad Guy! My daddy just kicked your butt!" She says proudly before she falls back on the couch and continues to drift back to dreamland.

"Let's get her to bed first." You giggle, lightly pushing your husband away from you as you gesture him to carry Hikari to her room.

The two of you end the holiday in each other's arms, waiting for another day of your joyous life to begin.
