omg i just came up with the best wip while out walking my dog, and idgaf if i'm being annoying, ya'll are gonna hear about it!!! (this is gonna be a long one)

so, i was walking my dog thinking about that tiktok titus posted teasing us about returning to the rookie (hello??? 😭) while simultaneously thinking about hospitalized lucy, and pregnant lucy- and then i thought what if there's a way for me to combine those 3 scenarios together by fatally hurting lucy before she even finds out that she's pregnant, and she runs into jackson while in a comatose state, holding a baby in his arms, and when she asks, "who's that?" he makes a quick witted joke about her not being able to recognize her own daughter. to which lucy goes bug eyed in disbelief, and maybe they have a short conversation where jackson has to do some persuading to get her to go back to her body that doctors are working so hard to save out in the real world, even though a part of her is still hesitant to leave jackson..... that is until he walks up to her and puts her baby in her arms and tells her to and i quote, "go be with your family". and then we cut to a flash of her waking up in her hospital bed, with tim clutching her hand at her bedside, and before he even gets the chance to question if she knew she was pregnant and was going to tell him, she asks him for confirmation as tears start to well up in her eyes like, "we're having a baby?" 🥺 and it's then that tim realizes she didn't know either, and they both just crumble into a fit of tears of relief and joy... and maybe a little laughter too, among a million other emotions.

So what's Gus up to in your AU cause it's really funny to me to imagine that he hasn't joined the main crew (Hunter, Luz and Amity) yet but Willow has so all he knows about the them and the castle is like general gossip and what willow tells him. like she tells him stuff like yeah a basilisk was on the verge of dying but Luz's Mum saved them or Amity set her memories on fire. So he's just sitting their like what???

AGES ago i think we were talking about gus, once he gets out of high school, opting to be a wild witch instead of joining a coven. which is MUCH less dangerous/politically precarious than it used to be, given how luz has decriminalized/legalized/protected wild magic. but still considered a kind of weird alt life path. gus being a weird punk who hangs out with eda because she has a ton of human stuff.... Excellent.

what i remember Most vividly was gus repeatedly sneaking in to the castle to catch up with willow & make sure she's not being tortured by terra and/or the empress's coven. and hunter KNOWING that someone is sneaking in, but never being able to catch them, and not knowing WHY they're sneaking in, so he's going Out Of His Fucking Mind thinking there's a conspiracy against luz..... until willow is like "oh, lol!! nah. that's just my buddy gus 💕"

the concept of gus replacing amity as hunter's main nemesis..... so funny. So Good.
