I love the little AU that skinny people live in where they have the same problems as fat people and can relate to the Experience. artists references are only for fat bodies, artists that do draw thin bodies are getting DMs from people going like "omg I'm so happy I discovered your art, it's so rare to find an artist who draws small bodies!!!!! for the first time I see people who look like me 😭😭" skinny people going "omggg I finally found a clothing brand that sells nice dresses in XS, I wish they weren't so so overpriced though" skinny people getting home from the doctor's office and collapsing on the couch to tell their roommate that their doc spent the whole appointment quizzing them about their diet and they were told they need to gain 40 pounds. but the doctor didn't want to check out the weird scraping sound they make when they breathe in, just that they should probably gain weight first. skinny celebrities and influencers spending thousands of dollars getting plastic surgery to transfer fat to their stomachs and jawlines. all the main characters in tv shows are fat. when you watch cartoons as a kid, there's one skinny character, and they're really dumb and annoying and get laughed at by the other characters. they're a loser and never get a boyfriend/girlfriend. the same clothes that are stylish when worn by fat people just get you made fun of. desirable romantic leads and manic pixie dream girls twirl their hair and say "yeeah I've just been fat my whole life, I just never lose weight no matter what I eat hehe" and this is an extremely endearing and attractive trait.

The last 2 weeks have provided me with amazing experiences from the BL series fan community. Moments when several series with very active fandoms are aired at the same time are very rare, and with the end of 2 series this week, I'm already mourning this wonderful, one-of-a-kind experience.

I have been camping in the following tags for many days and each one is different and unique: Love For Love's Sake I can't put into words what this show and fandom has given me. The number of absolutely insane analyses, meta, touching declarations of love to this series from moved viewers, and beautiful gifs is staggering. The series is excellent, the audience's reaction is also wonderful, it was such a great experience. Which doesn't surprise me, because it was people's reaction to real ART, which is always something special. The series itself is 10/10 for me in every category: love story, plot, actors, emotions, my investment in the story, quality, execution, even the "heat", because even though there were no love scenes, the guys were able to convey that they are very into each other 🥰

Dead Friend Forever I also enjoy the fandom experience immensely, the tag is full of great analysis and meta. The plot is so interesting and full of surprising twists and turns that there is always something new to discuss and come up with wild theories. The series is still ongoing, but for this moment it's also perfect for me and 10/10: love story (hehe), plot, actors, emotions, my investment in the story, quality, execution, also the "heat" (hehe).

Pit Babe I rate the fandom experience as *chef's kiss*. Tag is also full of interesting analyzes and meta, amazing gifs of Way. The fandom is generally very cheerful and unhinged, which is GREAT ✨ But what's most interesting is that if someone who didn't know Pit Babe checked the tag now, they would never guess who the main character and main couple of the series are (and this doesn't only apply to tumblr!). I find this incredibly funny 🤡 I'm not that interested in the series itself, so I won't rate it. I treat it as pure fun and entertainment, so I have zero expectations for the finale, especially since, of course, I've already stumbled upon possible spoilers. Personally, what I will take away from the entire series is my deepened love for Nut and a fascination with Way, whom I want like little girls want a new Barbie doll.

Last Twilight Another wild fandom experience lol I practically didn't visit the tag of this series at all, but I spent the last two episodes there in full camping mode, in a tent and cooking coffee after coffee over the fire 😄 Fans have once again soared to the heights of perfection, writing amazing analyzes and meta responses to the crap of the last episodes. The criticism was precise, justified, systematized, methodical and accurate 👩‍🎓 As with LFLS, it was an intellectual experience. The fans provided better entertainment than the series itself lol

The Sign hmm, for several weeks the tag has been dominated by BillyBabe, which is not strange because only this couple is responsible for BL aspect in this BL series 😄 I rate my fandom experience with The Sign in two categories: "until episode 7" full of amazing meta, analysis, beautiful gifs and enrichment for me as a fan, overall 10/10 and "after episode 7" which I spent mainly on… liking BillyBabe's photos and videos . Which is ok, because, well, I do like them a lot 😉

Two of the above series have already ended, although fans are still present, two more are ending this week. That's why I would like to take this opportunity and say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to all the fans, those who wrote emotional entries, deep and thoughtful meta, funny posts, created beautiful gifs, analyzed endlessly the smallest details and posted photos and videos of their favorite actors. You all made these last few days so interesting and fun. I hope there will be more days like this in 2024! 🥰

Silver: I'm sorry if I surprised you. It was an interesting opinion and I thought I'd talk to you.

Idia: While this episode is interesting, the interpretation of the King's personality is shallow…?

Silver: What do you mean by that?

Idia: If he were a politician, he could have chosen a strategy, such as telling his subordinates to take care of him and leaving them to run errands. Even so, the reason he went to a dangerous place to increase his military power was because it was an important mission that was key to the operation. Silver: Right… However, there was a lot of real feeling in my statement about "what a politician should be". I heard that Idia-senpai was appointed dorm headman on the recommendation of former dorm headman Ignihide…. Maybe you were the head of a big group in the past? Were you appointed dorm headman because of your experience?

PART 2: Land of Dawning: National Museum of Art

Silver: A picture of a lion, a warthog and a meerkat? They sing as a threesome and seem to get along just fine.

Idia: Isn't it too much fun to walk while singing? This painting shows a lion, the heir to the throne, being chased out of his country….. He turns away in pain and walks with the friends he has met. It's an episode about him singing carefree, isn't it? It's lucky that we get to see a picture that glorifies his escape from his mission. Heh!

Silver: I heard once that singing makes you feel lighter. Maybe they were also trying to savor the sadness?

Idia: If you mean distracting yourself with songs, when I was little and my little brother was afraid to go to the toilet in the middle of the night….. we'd go there together, humming a song from our favourite anime….. Well, whatever the circumstances of the song's creation, the composition with the moon in the background is emo* MV style.

Silver: Ehm vi…?

Idia: Don't you know what a music video is? It's a video that accompanies a song or lyrics.

Silver: Ah, is that what you call MV? Roger.

Idia: Well, if you want to watch a music video, I recommend the Gakemo Idols music video called "People Need to Be on the Edge of a Cliff Too." The band's music videos are so good that you can watch them 100 times each…!

Silver: 100 times… is an amazing amount of times. Do you usually watch music videos that many times?

Idia: If you're a real otaku, you'll definitely watch it! After all, it's presumptuous to think you understand everything about a music video after one viewing! The first time, you just enjoy the whole video along with the song. The next three times you watch the dancing and facial expressions of the three participants. And if you go deeper into the structure of the video and the messages that come out of it… at least…. And if you dig deeper into the structure of the clip and the message it conveys… you have to watch it at least 10 times. Moreover, even one random frame in the "Gakemo" clip contains a message worthy of a film director! To deeply understand their work, it's not enough to watch the clip a few times. That's why I watch it over and over again, hundreds of times.

Silver? Is this work really that deep? It seems like it could be useful for emotional education as well. However, I think it would be a good idea to include it in school music lessons.

Idia: No, no, that's all… But it seems like Silver-shi was able to see how amazing these girls are. There are a lot of casual fans of hers who don't understand their artistry, even if they are Gakemo fans. Every time a new MV comes out, there are people who ask, "Who was featured for how many seconds?" or "Who did the management think was there?". Does that have anything to do with the quality of the work? None, right? You just don't want to understand the thought and substance behind it.

Silver: I can see… I feel like my knowledge has expanded because of Idia-senpai. Once I get back to school, let's watch some gake…mo clip, shall we?

Idia: No kidding! Is this for real? All the latest MVs are on the public account on Magicam! Be sure to watch them! You won't regret it!

PART 3: Land of Dawning: National Museum of Art

Idia: Oh, the Sea Witch, appearing in the dark… She has a nice smile and a suspicious aura.

Silver: Is this the painting that depicts the episode about the Sea Witch making a contract? It is said that the contract she made at that time was so strong that not even a powerful spear could break it.

Idia: Come to think of it, I think it was enough that it didn't tear and the letters didn't smudge, even if they got wet…

Silver: Maybe there was something spelled out in the contract that they really didn't want to break.

Idia: I'm more concerned about the material of the treaty than the content. How strong is the defence that it can't even be terminated in advance? But there are times when you want to do something that will never work, I understand.

Silver: I don't quite understand… For example, what would an Idia-sempai do?

Idia: "A game console power cord that you can never hide" or…I actually tried to make one of those once. I played games from morning to night every day, and my mum started hiding cords. If she only hid the code, I could just make a new one, but she politely hid the cord materials as well. Then I thought, "I'm going to make it impossible to hide the cords!"

Silver: I think she was worried about your health… Didn't you have the opportunity to get out of the game?

Idia: How could I have? No, I was hard at work developing the game at the time, in my own way. I installed motion sensors so that the cord would automatically disappear from people's hands… I made it transparent so the cord couldn't be found, and added a homing function so it would return on its own… And after many failures… I finally completed it…! A transparent power cord that only the authorised owner can recognise!

Silver: I can't even imagine… It's amazing that you were able to create what you wanted with your own hands.

Idia: No, it's not amazing at all. Since there was a formidable genius in the family, the technology he developed was quickly defeated by other countermeasures… This cat and mouse game went on for months until I realised that all I had to do was modify my game console to wirelessly charge. Phew… However, the brief peace that came after developing wireless charging didn't last long…. Later, a strange device that disables all wireless charging within a 10 metre radius appears as the final boss. Yeah. Well, the experience I gained from developing things like motion sensors and autonomous controls came in handy when I was making Ortho, so all my trial and error didn't go to waste.

Silver: Even if you can imagine an ideal, it's hard to realise it. However, Idia-senpai has achieved a lot. I respect that.

Idia: Wait, what is this suddenly happening? I'm afraid of unexpected, direct compliments…. Are you trying to get me to buy a vase or something?

Silver? Why are we suddenly talking about a vase? Um, has it been that long? I got held up for a while. Oh, I'm sorry. Thanks for letting me hear your valuable story. Well, I must be going.

Silver's gone.

Idia: Phew… I haven't talked to a lot of people in a while and I'm tired. Need to calm down and look at the picture… Ah, that…

Idia: He's a hero from mythology. That sparkling gaze… He looks like he's sure of his bright future. There's no way his life could have turned out so well… I hope he doesn't get carried away and float down the river of the underworld.

Hey, peeps. Lately, I've been going through this uuuuugly artblock for my main project. (This is my first post, scary, lol.. really nervous)

So, a few months back, I drew a Devil May Cry OC. The images are under the 'more' tab, but i would really appreciate it if you read this first. With this art block going on and the urge to draw something other than my main/serious project, I decided to make a small comic of my OC's childhood and how he ended up meeting the main/canon characters/crew.

And if you're new to the DMC world, hello, welcome! I hope this little comic will encourage you to check out the official games, it's pretty fun!

Try to guess who I ship him with... Hey, don't look at my pfp! That's cheating!

So yeah, there's going to be some sketches/panels of this ship. Dw, nothing too explicit/graphic. It's fluff, lol. I think that's what they call it? There's going to be more information regarding the dmc - oc comic in a future post.

I know there's a lot of different opinions when shipping an oc with a canon character, so that's why I added this little 'more' tab/bar below so in case you're not interested, you can scroll away :) for those who choose to stay and continue on, thank you.

My oc's name is Ezra. He was created when a cool friend of mine invited me to RP the DMC5 storyline with them. I was kinda nervous at first since it was my first time to ever RP with someone. I got the hang of it, though! And it was fun! (The next/future post will provide more information of that if anybody is interested. Since it's kinda the reason why Ezra exists in the first place.) I am not sure if I will include the RP events in this comic, since like I've mentioned, it took place in the DMC5 storyline, and its quite a lottt. Just like the canon game. So I might draw the day (i mean the in-game time) after the Qliphoth was taken down. Or summarize the DMC5 storyline. There's still a lot of time to think about it since I'm going to start off with the background of this character, then when he becomes an adult, and then when he meets the crew.

☝️ This is how the cover of my oc's DMC comic will look like. The title is blurred out because I am still debating whether I should change it or not. Lol, it's kinda edgy, I might keep it that way.

☝️These right here are adult/present Ezra and a few panels of Vergil. I am still experimenting with the way I draw Vergil since I want to have him look a little closer to the game than the way he looks in manga. (Which is hard since I prefer drawing the exact style of any series official art... Because if I do it in my own version, it never looks like the character. So yes, this is a challenge.)

The drawing with Ezra's full body is supposed to be Ezra holding his scythe over his shoulder, but I gave up on finishing it since I didn't like the way his coat looked. You can even tell from the different coats he has in the other panels/images...

The image with Ezra getting food poisoning was from eating Dante's food. This idea stems from all those memes with Dante creating unidentified matter, whereas other characters like Vergil make decent food.

The first image and 3rd image are actually linked together, hehe. I wonder if any of you know the tilted towers reference? Lol

☝️Another Vergil sketch. He is laid next to Ezra in bed. (You can see the pillow that Ezra is cuddling with peeking in that image, lol). This moment is related to Vergil's nightmares.

☝️ The first image out of the two is one out of the 2 closest friends BEFORE the DMC5 events. I think you will really like them. They've put a huge impact on Ezra's life and are the very reason for the way/who he is today. I still don't have a design for the other friend, that's why it's not provided here.

The second image is just baby Ezra, not having a clue what the adults are talking about. The adults definitely didn't call him that...

☝️Lastly, this is my reaction once I created this DMC OC and decided to ship him with Vergil. I have no clue why Samsung does this to my images once edited, lol.

The same friend mentioned before also had me create an OC for a game that they play, and I failed to not grow attached to this character. (What!? I created them. They're like my own children now!) I might show u guys how he looks like when I finish his design.

Haha, I add lazy watermarks (even though my art ain't that worthy) because I've seen small artist get their art clapped by a-hole users without permission. This has also happened to me, but it was yeeeaaarrrsss ago. This is why I don't post much of my art nowadays. Especially with the "art" bot-stealing going around. I need to find a better way to not let it happen to my art ever again.

14. where do you get your inspiration?

All over! I get some atmospheric inspiration from places I've been (there is an IRL doohm rock reference from mercaleb, as you know), tidbits and themes from life experiences I want to explore from various angles, themes from canon that leave room for more exploration, idle daydreams, whatever other media I'm watching and go "hmmm what if I put a blorbo in that situation". Sometimes it's escapism and sometimes it's reflection and sometimes it's both. Other creators inspire me (like you!) with beautiful writing and art that makes a thriving fandom ecosystem. I've written snippets for art and drawn art for others' writing, circle of life, etc. I love great art prompts from followers when I'm doing doodles (thank you to everyone who has ever sent one!). Sometimes my inspiration for any creation is just "hehe wouldn't it be SO stupid if I just-" and then I do. Highly recommend.

19. the most interesting topic you've researched for a fic

It's gotta be everything volcanically related for Volcaleb. All the materials I watched and read for that were interesting, whether or not they made a reference in the fic. I watched videos of scientists who simulated lava flows with their own materials melted in a massive drum & poured down concrete slopes. Lots of folks hiking around active lava flows in a variety of heat gear, taking samples. Drone footage over active fantastical eruptions. Stumbled on a really unfortunate series of AI images of "people eating lava" (do not recommend). Timelapse footage of slow-moving pahoehoe which has this fascinating chrome color to the cooling surface in some lights. There was one 20min Youtube video about contractors in Hawaii talking about how it was dangerous to move construction equipment in some areas of the islands because you could unexpectedly have a big hollow chamber somewhere under you at any time and the weight of the machinery could collapse the whole thing. I watched the whole thing and used none of it lol. I learned about long-term land use recommendations as official documents in areas where geological variables are at play - this actually did get a mention! Anyway, volcanoes and lava are cool (heh).

To answer your question- what I love most about Grelle is the concept behind her character. Like it has sm potential to be so interesting. I love fucked up women, I love fucked up LGBT characters, and she's both!! Though I would say the way her character is almost always reduced to a joke and a comic relief is annoying to me. Like I love that she's silly and goofy and flirty don't get me wrong, it's moreso the fact it feels like the show is laughing at her rather than with her :(!!

I don't rly have headcanons I dislike... well outside the man!Grelle headcanon. Like I'm sorry that removes everything i find interesting about her character! Her relationship with gender, femininity, theatrics and motherhood is some of my fave stuff about her, so making her a dude kinda makes me yawn.

Anyhow to stop myself from going off about Grelle I just wanna say thank you sm again for this sweet message!! ;W;

I was wondering if you play stardew with any mods? I've been looking into them and I was just wondering -if you happen to play with them- what mods you use/recommend? PS: Also I wanted to just add that I'm really happy for you and proud of you for making your art into a webtoon! It's kind of always been something I've wanted to do when I have the time and assets for it, and I really just admire that someone I'm acquainted with has done something so cool!

I usually play on Switch (When I play at all), but I did play a heavily modded version on PC every once in a while. What I def recommend is getting Expanded and or Ridgeside Village if you want more content. There are also many nice Mods that add more dialogue for characters (I always go heavy on the Seb ones hehe) and also seasonal clothing (I think Expanded comes with it but there are also other ones??) SVE is also still updating, so while you wait for 1.6., SVE 1.15? is also coming? (Not that versed on it, just taking in info from friends hehe) Other than that...I recently found a AI Mod that lets you talk to villagers through the Chat which seemed kinda fun! When you already went through all the dialogue and have nothing more to do, it's nice to give it a try. I also like to use small mods like no Fence decay because that's annoying, or Grass even in Winter. Just small Life Quality Mods!! Oh and the one where you can skip the fishing mini game, because even though I like it, I don't wanna redo it each time.

Hope you find some that make your game experience more fun!!!! AND ALSO THANK YOU SO MUCH AHHH THAT MEANS SO MUCH TO ME!! My brainrot still runs very deep, so I'll keep making lots and lots of stuff! I was working on the Haley episode but now I got distracted with the R18 Manga hahaha. But soon I'll come back!! A tip I have heard for ppl starting selling their art

Is that sometimes its better to start small

To irder in smaller amount even if it might be a bit more expensive per 1 (also know the diffarant isnt that big especially in some cheaper places)

And second it can help you not function at a loss

A lot of young artist may start with expensive equipment they dont need to start with

And might later down the line be not much relevent and will take longer to return the profit

Or you even see for example your posters do better than your stickers so maybe its better to invest in those instead

But you wouldnt learn that till trying

What I would rec is to start small so you could already start rn (and not need to wait to gather enough for a printer) see how it goes

Maybe order only a few stickers and posters (some even order only 10 to start out with small to see how it goes and to get expiriance)

See how it goes and order more based on the demend!

I know if you put some stuff in your shop rn I would love to get some! ✨

And whatever you choose good luck!

10.  Is there a fandom you read fic from but don’t write in?

at first glance, my thought was no, bc i don't really fandom-ize every bit of media i absorb, just a few special ones (i can be normal about things!! for real (not clickbait)!!!)

that said, there are a few fandoms i've read fic for that i've never written for! going all the way back to my roots, i read so much mlp fic, n although i technically wanted to write mlp fic back in the day (n have like. two paragraphs of an ancient pitch rotting in my gdocs), i never really committed to it.

nat made me read some pokespe fics too back in the day, so i've read a couple of those too despite never really reading a ton of the manga. one pokespe author also recommended some kingdom hearts fic that i ended up reading, despite having never played kh or knowing anything about it really!

i also used to read a lot of miraculous ladybug fic (once in a blue moon i'll also get update emails for some of them c':), n although i had some ideas for mlb fic, i never wrote any of them.

i think the most recent fandoms i've read but never written for have been the adventure zone (balance), since i'd read taz fic as it crossed my dash after i listened to the podcast, and princess tutu, bc i had a mutual who got into it, so i started w/their fic after i watched the anime, then poked around the archive a bit hehe

hmmm i'm honestly kind of a "once a hater, always a hater" kind of person, so it's kind of hard for me to think of a ship that i see around, know the basic appeal of, but don't really Understand in a way that makes me more proactive or picky w/seeing them portrayed.

that said, i would love to read some kokosara meta that elaborates on how a relationship btwn them would further kokomi's character, why sara is the only character who would be able to push her in that particular direction

oooo that's tough, since i'm very fond of p much all my fics for various different reasons, even if i don't think their writing is particularly up to my standards anymore.

like, even tho jjk was technically a while ago for me now, i'm still obsessed w/the idea of a constellation au (zenith); and the diner at the end of the night is still easily one of the most well-written high-energy comedies i've ever pulled off.

it's also really hard to pick out of my genshin fics which one holds the most specialest place in my heart bc most of them hold niches in my heart!!!

typically, though, i pick disjunct bc during the writing process, it was the first time where i really felt allowed to give a character Mixed Race Struggles(tm) wholesale w/o feeling like i was just making them mixed for the sake of it. i'm also really happy with the way it ended up resonating w/people on a core level, and the experience of artist-viewer connection n just having an Art Moment(tm) that resulted!!

45. What is your all time favourite fanfic?

i used to say A Miscellaneous Tale of Night and Day, which is The 200k word pokespe fic nat made me read when we were in high school that hasn't updated since 2012 that has effectively inoculated me against "abandoned fanfiction sadness", and the plot n premise are still a ton of fun, but i've been rereading it a bit as of late, and you can feel the early 2010s casual transphobia and misogyny in it lol. i'd say that it helped shape my comedic tastes/ability to just write self-indulgently, so for that, i'd categorize it under "influential fics"

honestly my favorite fics tend to be long multichapters, but there are honestly so few that line up with my tastes and have an ending in genshin, n i didn't read enough in jjk to have any longfics to really be fondly subscribed to. thinking about it, i genuinely think my fave fics are just the ones nat n i make up together over discord until five in the morning LMAO

in terms of fics that exist(ed, at least at one point), i'd say the now-deleted snk fic tower of babel would probably qualify as one of my all-time faves, n i can say that's not just the nostalgia glasses bc i do still have a copy on my hard drive lol. the premise is that five girls, each hiding their own secrets from each other or the world, end up renting one apartment together, n they learn to trust each other enough to communicate n rely on one another. there's also a bit of romance happening in the bg, but it's not the biggest aspect of the fic, n i really liked that!!! also the way it dropped the title in the end, basically stating its main theme as "it's a lot easier to fix your problems if you communicate abt it" CHANGED MY LIFE the first time i read it lol

It's been kind of a circle in a way? the way I've developed my /main/ style.

I remember when I started drawing as a teen I had a natural inclination to do silly cartoon doodles, much like the ones I do now but in a less refined way. Then I started experimenting for like 10 years, I drew more realistically, I learned a lot but it never really was my thing! then I tried lineless art, lineart, sketches, traditional, painting, digital painting, cartoonish, more elegant and after many years I feel like i said blah i'm just gonna draw how it comes more naturally to me? and that, plus the experience I got in a decade left me with this storybook like style, that is very "easy" for me to draw in, it's just so natural.

It feels right to me, but I also have other styles I can try and go back to when I just want to have fun hehe
