Just finished another class on how to not put my foot in my mouth and it's soooo validating to know people have to learn these skills like anything else. I've signed up for uhhh I think this is like my 3rd or 4th? And experts on how to not sound like a dick will school me and 30 other professionals on how to not sound like a dick. Wiiiiiiild how much there is to learn on the intricacies of communication :O

#Creepy chatter #Professionally I've been trained on the SCARF model a lot but this is the first they linked neuroscience :o #We discussed how to avoid accidentally triggering fight/flight/freeze by limiting perceived social threats #Which is sooo neat bc I've had a similar discussion w my therapist and both said essentially the same thing #Your brain DOES experience social threat/injury just like a physical threat/injury. Right down to a pain sensation.#Just like lol...being aware of that can make navigating conversations a little more understandable tbh #In F/F/F mode your brain literally does not use its logic center. We have entered unga bunga survival instincts.#Idk I have been enjoying this type of learning. Very psychology based w a focus on improving relationships :)

I think number one favorite might be my Red Robe; I wish it had pockets, but it's super comfy and I drafted the entire pattern myself

honestly I REALLY love this spiral earring I made for my Caduceus cosplay; I like to just wear it around, the only reason I don't more often is that it's held together with magnets and I'm afraid I'll lose it

third might beeee the cloak of the manta ray? I drafted this pattern completely from scratch AND designed the gold accents myself where you can't see them in the DMG illustration AND the whole outer layer is waterproofed so it sheds water, I'm really proud of it

Tell the truth comic fans challenge. When's the last time you read a comic and how many have you actually read?

P.S. This isn't me being gatekeepy btw I'm being genuine because I'm gonna be honest I've probably only actually read about five series and every thing else I've gotten from movies/series, online, or fanon. I know all the important events. Have I actually read them? No because my ADHD just wouldn't. And I can't be assed having to read important events if it's in a shit run by a bad writer.

#Also ngl I was determined to read from the very start but. I would not have the time for that in any life so lmao #I have read quite a few of the early Batman comics and do actually hope to read as many of his as possible #But I have not actually sat and read all of the Batfam origins yet tho I intend to #I know them all and I've seen the panels just never actually sat down and gone through it all #I also have read a lot of the Golden Era Batman and Superman team up comics where they basically act like parents #Taking Dick out on family day trips. It's a fun read tbh #And back when I was a early teen and couldn't afford comics I watched YouTuber who would read them for you and tell you about them/show you #So I've read half of Batman Eternal from that but he stopped uploading vids about it which made me really sad lmao #So I need to get around to reading the rest myself/rereading it because it's been a while #I think I liked the story but wouldn't canonise it in my mind #I also read a bit of Suicide Sqaud that way I think? So that too #I totally don't pirate read Injustice #I like it but I think some of it is iffy. But that's the case with comics in general #Batman: Wayne Family Adventures is the only I actually keep up with #Probably because it's more accessible but also because it's the kind of comic I've wanted about the Batfam for ages #There's room for improvement and I would like to see how one similar to that style would be made like. In the fully canon mainstream comics #Because I'm aware it's very fanon/fan servicey but honesty after all the DC chaos we deserve it. But I would like to see more family #Urban Legends is really good. But Idk. I'm very particular about my vision lmao #Let me be a writer is what I'm saving. Or make a competant TV show *Glares at Titans*#Titans is good but God do they fucking butcher Jason and Bruce. I am sick of DC TV and film adaptions doing the Batfam dirty #Like. The animated movies #Tim just is never a thing ever. Why #Titans does have him and I like that. But I haven't watched that season ngl because I don't like how they write Bruce #Like. He doesn't. Look for cjild soldiers bruh. I'm disappointed with Titans because they coulda done so well #But Bruce is far too old and they made Dick almost murderous with him and they fucked up Jason. I haven't seen Tim's-#-Characterisation yet but I'm scared to at this point #Alfred must be fucking dead because he would be SO OLD if Bruce is already like 60 bruh. No offence to the actor but yeah.#Chella Man is the best thing about the show. Tbf I adore the cast other than Bruce. (long post ahead sorry gang)

i know the hip new thing is critquing honkai star rail after everyone had really liked it, but alot of them do have valid criticism.

this is mostly personal experience, but the grind is so much worse in hsr. I think this is mostly due to the fact that unlike in genshin - where certain ascension materials like treasure hoarder insignias can be found in open world and you don't need to 'pay' (use resin) to get them - hsr requires calyxs for almost everything.

this is fine if you're only committing to building one character, but you're not. you're building a team.

for example: in genshin i have at least 4 relatively fully built teams that can work well in both open world and domains (with the exception of spiral abyss cause there is DEFINTELY difficulty spike there and i won't hear any 'git gud' comments), and that's not including built characters that just haven't got a team

That's about 13 characters (cause i reuse koko, layla and mona in some teams) at the very least but i know there is more because i'm constantly testing stuff out

on the other hand: i have one built team in hsr + natasha, silver wolf and technically destruction mc (i have him on presevation rn), so that's 6/7. i haven't really built anyone else but i've been building one team.

hsr does have ALOT of QOL features that would be amazing in genshin (assignments for one), but the grind feels so much worse becuase of bad drop rates + i think i've already said but i don't think there was a need to have both relics and light cones? especially with no way to condense trailblaze powder.

it's still a fun game and i'm still going to play it, but it is wayy more exhausting even building just one character
