I recently started following you and your posts inspired me to make a drag race Dr! I’ve always wanted to shift to rpdr but never had anyone else to talk about it with or seen anyone else talk about it. I don’t have much scripted, just that I’m shifting to season 17 and my s/o is Suzie Toot, and I’m still stuck on a drag name, which leads me to my question. How did you settle on your drag name and aesthetic? Eden elysian sounds so pretty btw!

I LOVE U SOOOOOSO MUCH!!!!! you have no absolute idea how happy i am to hear that i inspired you to make a drag race dr!!!! i wanted to make one for sooo long but never did because i didn't see other drag race shifters, but since making my dr and coming onto shiftblr, i feel like i've seen soo many people saying that a drag race dr is a good idea , and now you've even made one as well!!!! it truly makes me teary eyed 🥺🥺🥺🥺

so , how i settled on my drag name and aesthetic was . highkey slightly pinterest, and already knowing of a few types of aesthetics that i already liked! for my persona, i took inspiration from the coffinwood aesthetic (which the aesthetics wiki removed the page for and i am devastated, but there is a good reference in the coffinwood tag here on tumblr!), and also just . life is strange and yellowjackets, and my alterhumanity, which is how i managed to fall into a drag persona who was an undead deer-human princess , hehehe.

so tldr: i gathered images of an aesthetic that i liked, and i built my persona around the collection of pictures i had collected!! here is my pinterest board , btw , that i have my aesthetic pictures in! begging that i remembered to unprivate my pinterest lmfao

and from there, with my persona and her aesthetic done, that was when i decided to figure out her name. i actually originally looked for punny names, and there's a few different idea sites out there, but i didn't really connect with any of them, so i went looking for 'foresty' type names that sounded as mystical and pretty as my aesthetic, and i found eden, and later on i found elysian !!

im confident that you could start the process any which way; figure out your name and then your aesthetic, your aesthetic and then your name, or any other way !!
