one thing about me is if I don't work at a store but someone thinks that I do and asks me for help I will simply try to help them anyway as a first instinct. that's not me flexing I just like helping people. like a lady at walmart once asked me to get a cart for her before she realized I didn't work there and bro I almost did it. I was at check out. with my Father.
just recently at another walmart a guy was asking me about bedsheets and I attempted to help him. I could not. he was talkin couches. he might not have even thought I worked there he mighta just been desperate for couch sheets. idk I just wished him luck and left in search of car cup trash cans.
once at hot topic a person asked me about jewelry and stuff and I just. assisted. I did math for this stranger. we chatted. I have never worked in a hot topic but I Was wearing a button-covered lanyard for a different store (I had work that day) so y'know fair but like bro. you would not believe how easy it is to talk to people with the pretense of you helping them with something it's wild.

By the way when I say "businesses are hostile to people not available in mornings (ie people who sleep during am hours thanks to grave shift, or people who work mornings, etc)" I mean banks, doctor offices, DMVs, dentists, etc should be open to 9pm, not that Walmart should reopen to its pre-covid 24.7 hours hope this helps

i made this brand new flag to honor walmart employees. notice how the "slim streak of aqua" is basically the same color as, like, pretty much everything in a walmart

was gonna buy my printer at the end of November as a treat for myself for doing nanowrimo but then I had the thought that like.
if I could print out a paper, then I could hang it in my fridge and keep track of my word counts throughout the month on the paper.
but that would require the printer BEFORE nanowrimo. so I'm gonna see if i can't buy one after work. Hdjajfjd

wtf being in walmart is like going to hell willingly. i was trying to buy this little crystal ball from the "dollar section" that didn't have a price tag and the self checkout attendant was like "this doesn't have a price tag". im like "i know." (thats why i asked for your help) she goes "well we would have to do a price check on it to find out how much it is" and stares at me. i go ".....okay....um.....can we. do that" she says "was there any other ones on the shelf" "yes but that one didnt have a price tag either so i was hoping maybe you could help me out" (btw the ppl at target would ring it up for a dollar js they dont give a fuck i love them) then she calls someone else to go find one. i feel like shit and am debating literally just leaving but would feel guilty doing that too. five minutes later someone comes back and says "the other one on the shelf didnt have a price tag". (i want to die. i want to shove myself into the coin slot so i die inside the self checkout machine at wal mart) self checkout woman says "well we don't know how much it is so i cant ring it up" like. basically just said No you can't buy this. yes it is for sale. no you cant have it. die

Just had the worst Walmart pickup experience ever
Order is delayed, ok I'll spend in hour in Menards right next door like a good little midwesterner
I head over to Walmart after an hour thinking that'll be plenty of time
I sit there 20 minutes and an employee asks me my name so they know I'm here for my order (app still says delayed)
I wait a other hour-ish then use the app to message a rep for assistance. Rep says they're having technical issues
I wait like, another 40 minutes. Call corporate. Corporate guy is super nice and super helpful, he calls the pickup dept and the person running it is non-apologetic and says they can't provide any ETA or even guess.
I sit there another 30 minutes. Still nothing.
I decide to inform the new cars around me of what's happened and to not waste their evening like I have
Then I leave
LMAO right as I was almost done writing this post I got a call from them asking if I was still waiting. No I'm not. That would be me waiting in the parking lot for 3 hours. 4, if I had shown up on time for my pickup slot time. Smh

My grandpa: I'm having second thoughts about you biking because recently there's been reports of 6 cyclists killed in hit and runs. You won't get hot taking the bus
Me:
Me: you do realize I've almost been hit, AS A PEDESTRIAN, at least 5 times right? Because I'm not on the bus the entire time.
