I loved the first episode BUT HATED B&C! 

S2 E1 SPOILERS:

I loved everything about Rhaenyra’s grief (Emma delivered in this scene!) Cregan’s appearance, being introduced to Alicole while having sex (I laughed so hard at Alicent's O face, she needed that, well done my girl), Alicent helping Criston with his armor, Otto’s visible frustration with Aegon during the small council and the hearing of the petitions, Aegon being that dad for Jaehaerys he wished Viserys was with him (present, inclusive and supportive), Rhaenys’ comebacks at Daemon and Daemon’s wrath, Erryk’s dilemma, Larys’ obvious knowledge of Alicent and Criston’s meetings, Alicent reminding Otto that she is still Dowager Queen and she needs to be respected for her sons to heed her council, and the heart-wrenching scene between Lucearys and Rhaenyra. 

But the best scene of the episode for me has to be ALICENT’S LIGHTING OF THE CANDLES, WHILE RHAENYRA MAKES A FUNERAL PYRE (we hear Alerie’s name *sobbing*; also LOVE THE PARALLELS of that scene with Rhaneyra and Alicent and her inner conflict to admit that her side, family, and herself, have committed a crime for which they need to atone and be forgiven by a higher power. In a deeper spiritual level, she tries to communicate with Rhaenyra). It was such a well-thought out and cinematic scene.

But I hated what the show did with B&C! Maelor does not appear, and even though Helaena is visibly traumatized, the scene downplayed book!Blood and Cheese’s manipulation and coercion as she was forced to choose one of her sons. We also did not hear her offer her own life instead of her children’s and it was so rushed imo. The sounds of them cutting Jaehaerys’ head off were indeed harrowing. I knew Alicent and Criston would be having sex as Helaena enters Alicent's chambers (still no alicole kiss) and had somewhat come to terms with it, but it was still annoying how little focus was placed on Helaena the whole time. She only said "they killed the boy" like it meant nothing. I do hope episode 2 does Helaena's grief justice!

Anyway, these were my initial thoughts! I’m excited for the season but kind of wished that at least for important events such as B&C the writers had stayed truthful to the books.

Ok... so I usually make a "My year in Review" kinda post at the end of the year. And usually I actually do have some 'stats' that are worth showing.

This year however... well... not so much.

Meaning that I posted something every ~20 days (did not count the Incorrect Quotes this year).

Not that bad considering how my year was but then again, I used to post/write more which is a bit frustrating on my end and probably also for you guys, who wait patiently for something new.

But on the bright side, I joined 3 new Fandoms this year and I can't wait to write more for all of my lil blorbos! I definitely have enough ideas for them.

So a big thank you to all of my +1.5k Followers! Thank you for your support this year, your kind comments, your uplifting dm's and asks you sent me. I hope you all have an amazing year ahead of you 💚

It was a rollercoaster of emotions for me and I'm just glad it's over tbh. But I'm a smidge hopeful that 2024 will be a better year

Ok so basically it’s like the hunger games but before the hunger games you get sent to this dreamland type thing and u have three people including u in ur dorm, boys and girls are separate and there’s this guy that basically has floating eyes that move and they’re everywhere so he catches u out if ur doing smth wrong.but then when u get to the main hall for breakfast, and for some reason I was always early, you literally smash through glass in a booth and it gives you a drink in ur hand but the actual food is buffet style. But during breakfast if u walk away from the area even for a moment, it becomes absolutely flooded with babies, and I mean flooded like it’s literally a sea, oh and also the space is giant like there are giant fields w farmers in the background. Anyway, the babies are like normal but also there are a lot that are bright yellow like Lego babies and there r a very limited amount of mothers in the sea of babies. And also for some reason, under the clothes you can see you are wearing, you are always wearing cow print felt trousers which you don’t even feel under your clothes. Oh and also yk the guy that’s like the overseer and has eyes everywhere? Yeah he looks like the head teacher from the school in a series of unfortunate events and he can duplicate and turn into moths and owls and whatever. Oh also I lowk framed a girl for touching the moth and then she died of a heart attack that morning? Also there r clouds near the dorms bc the dorms r floating in clouds and it only really has a floor, a half ceiling and a semicircle walk so it’s not fully closed. Oh and the booth for the drinks is purple and if you go away from the breakfast room, I found closets w trousers and scarfs and my mum was there for some reason but she didn’t know that I was there for the hunger games I think Actually no one apart from me knew or cared about the hunger games

No spoilers but I have thoughts.

My main complaint is the pacing?? Like holy shit the first episode is one heck of a whirlwind.

The quick recap is appreciated but omg it feels like from the very first scene someone dropped a rock on the accelerator pedal.

Like why we going so fuckin fast

Also why is it only ten episodes? Like why not just give it a little more breathing room?

The monster of the week stuff isnt here obviously but like we also threw out steady power increases in the process

I like the bones of the show I just wish it was better paced.
