#ITS2 episode 2

Note
I think the difference is that TKK themselves have said that things be came awkward between them yet Tkkers still believed that Hybe was keeping them apart. Jikook however is different. They have never specifically said things became awkward between them and they have always shown it but never talked about it. Jikook on the other hand keep to themselves and their actions show but they never tell us, yet the way Jikook has been behaving recently does not scream “we are awkward”. The decline of Jikook (in official content in my opinion) started with ITS 2 (or what ever that Japanese content was BTS did). The rise of TKK in official content but the decline of Jikook, even though we know they interacted plenty in ITS2, what changed? Why was there more TKK in the actual episodes then Jikook? That made alot of people think Jikook didn’t interact when that was a lie. Most Jikook moments didn’t make it in at all or was in the Behind The Scenes (something most people don’t buy). How come for their sponsors (like Samsung and other stuff not Hybe related) Jikook is paired a lot in but official content they are not anymore? Tkkers currently still say Hybe keeps TKK apart even though they have had more TKK in official content then Jikook. They still say Hybe is forcing JK not to talk about Tae but talk about JM, even though Tae is posting JK and talking about him.
So, anon do you see how it’s different from what Tkkers say?
Tkkers: Hybe keeps them separated
Hybe: puts TKK in a lot of content together and puts more of them in ITS2
Tkkers: Hybe is forcing JK not to mention Tae
Tae: Jungkook, Jungkook, Jungkook, Jungkook
Tkkers: TKK is free to do what ever they don’t care about Hybe
Also Tkkers: Hybe is forcing them apart
Now it’s time for Jikook and Jkker…
Jikook: went from being in a lot of content together to little to none (even though we know they interacted)
TKK: a rise in their moments but a decline in Jikook
Jikook: have never specifically said things became awkward and even when it was noticeable, they still did so much together
TKK: SAID things were awkward but barely did anything together (which is how the Hybe is separating them started
Jikook: both obviously still love and care for each other even when they are fighting (you can tell this by them constantly still looking at each other)
TKK: again didn’t do anything of that
Anon, things became so awkward with TKK that everyone started to notice it and I mean everyone, even Tkkers. Which agin is how the “Hybe is separating TKK” narrative started. I don’t know what the problem was. I have seen another Jkker say that was around the Chuseok live, JK was extremely tired in that live. You can tell that he just wasn’t feeling it in the video.
Now I am not specifically saying that Hybe is separating Jikook but explaining how what some Jkkers are saying is different from what Tkkers are still saying (even with new TKK content).
Hello,
Yes! All of this is is true! Thank you for pointing all this out.
And yeah, the Jikook stuff was behind the scenes in ITS2. And the Chuseok live was filmed the same day as the YouTube Run Episodes and those things were long. I also speculated that something else was filmed the same day but I cant remember anymore -_-
Anyway, there is a huge difference between tkkrs and jkkrs...still. So we have to be careful of not going down that path. And I include myself.
Thanks for sharing!

Jimin has spoken! And if you don't heed his words, he'll come after you: https://twitter.com/KoukiMochi/status/1565364747154907138 Jokes aside: that puts the entire thing in Run BTS in a different context. Before it was one of their Run BTS conversations where I just thought "okay...you do you, Jikook!". But it makes so much sense now.
To begin with … I’m so sorry for the late reply MoliMili!! 🙏🙏
Tumblr media
But here I am now, and here are the links you’ve provided, which are regarding our recent discovery that JK may be gluten intolerant:
LINK 1:
Tumblr media
And LINK 2:
Tumblr media
Funny I should find myself talking about editing so quickly again! As we all know many on TW were already (jokingly or/and not) adding this moment to the Let’s Have Ramyeon “series”, which stemmed from In The Soop 2 Episode, when JK asked JM the following:
Tumblr media
I’m not going to go in depth about this moment in this post, but the main point is that this particular sentence is known to be the Korean equivalent for “Netflix and Chill”.  That being said, a lot of attention has been put (at least among jikookers) on the JK, JM & Ramyeon.
Without mentioning situations from the past, when the following happened during Jimin’s Artist Made Collection, this was added to the Let’s Have Ramyeon Series:
Tumblr media
Though as I said, I’m not going to make this a Let’s Have Ramyeon post, I would like to point out how in both cases (ITS2 and Artist Made) JK actually did say the word Ramyeon.
Now, what created the slight chaos in the fandom on TW, when the jikook chasing each other moment happened, (during the RUN BTS Telepathy episode happened) was the fact that the Editor for VLIVE and the one for YT ended up translating what JK said differently:
Tumblr media
One thing that I must point out is that JK, this time around did not say the word Ramyeon, but Bbogeuli (which refers to a particular way of cooking Ramyeon) almost as if to make sure that JM knew that he was actually hungry. Adding to this is the fact that JK did actually repeatedly made it a point that he was hungry and it is safe to say that Jeon Jungkook doesn’t mess around with food when he’s hungry.
Tumblr media
Just these bits of info were, in my opinion, enough to speculate that the JK didn’t have any ulterior motive when he told JM that he wanted to eat Bbogeuli. Yet, in addition to this we also had some k-jkkers actually trying to explain the fact “Nah, guys, this ain’t that” but still some jkkers ignored and kept doing as they do, which was a bit disappointing, ngl.
Tumblr media
But, anywho, now we know that this wasn’t a simple inside joke, now we know that JM wasn’t about to just keep quiet and watch while JK potentially put himself in a painful situation. This is a rare and delicate instance where, after some time, we were let into something private and even though this happened relatively fast, it kinda goes to show that, eventually, one way or the other, time (almost always) will tell.
Tumblr media
Thank you for stopping by MoliMoli, come by soon! 💜
Patiently and respectfully yours,
Marengo

Let’s talk: In the SOOP 2 - Episode 2
by Admin 1
A week has gone by and episode 2 has aired on TV and was posted on weverse. It’s seven minutes longer than the first episode and it opens with a little recap of episode one, in case anyone didn’t watch it or simply forgot. Considering the episodes do air on TV and might also get watched by non-ARMY, it’s a nice thing to add.
A lot more happens throughout this than it did in episode one so unfortunately this post won’t be quite as neat as the first one. It’s much harder to keep track of seven people and summarize what everyone is up to without this just turning into word chaos, but, as always, I’ll try my best!
The episode itself begins basically where last episode ended with the members gathered around the dinner table finishing their very late breakfast, if you can even call it that at two PM, and wondering if they want to eat some hwachae--chilled watermelon mixed with soda and milk. JK says that he’s full to which Seokjin argues that if they were to make it, JK would still devour it. JK ends up agreeing, as do the other members, and so they begin clearing up the table a bit and making hwachae.
Once Yoongi and JK cut the watermelon in half, JK is supposed to wrap the second half in some plastic wrap so he asks Namjoon about it, who like the genius he is, uses the fact that wrap and rap sound very similar and instead raps at the watermelon.
Tumblr media
After finishing tidying the kitchen and preparing the hwachae, five of the members return to the table and dig into their food. That is until the question arises of where Jimin has gone since him and Tae are missing.
Tumblr media
Jimin is outside by the basketball hoop practicing his shots which, as the members note, aren’t going all that well with him missing most of his shots for a while. The question is asked about why Jimin is suddenly playing to which JK basically says that Jimin wants to show his skills to ARMY. In the end Namjoon suggests that Yoongi should go and coach Jimin to improve his skills. Still Hobi goes outside and asks Jimin if he’d like to eat some hwachae, to which he declines, and when asked about Tae if he’d like some, Jimin says he doesn’t know. Makes sense. Hobi returns inside and asks the other four where Tae has gone to and even calls his name thinking that he might still be in the building.
It’s in that moment that we find out through Namjoon that Tae is back in his room for his trumpet lesson. The members says how impressive that is and we get to actually join Tae for his lesson, listen and watch as he does it.
Tumblr media
Lots and lost more below the cut:
Tae tells us how ever since around the time of their debut he’s pondered the idea of wanting to be able to play the trumpet, how he felt inspired by Chet Baker to do so. So, finally, so many years later he got himself a trumpet as well as a tutor and is having his video call lesson even while they’re gone for ITS.
Much the way I wrote in my post about Yoongi and the courage to try, the same applies here as well. It takes courage to try something new, embrace being bad at it at first, but it takes even more of it to share it with millions of viewers ready to judge and drag him to filth for the fun of it. We see him struggle, we see him succeed, and we see him genuinely try and be proud of himself as well. It’s wonderful to watch, even when he makes mistakes and it sounds...less than great. Tae strives on praise, something Namjoon mentioned about him in the past as well, and you can see how each time his teacher tells him he did well, he gets even more motivated and brave.
While Tae has his lesson, we switch over to Seokjin, who’s floating around the pool on the unicorn float and just enjoying his resting time, and Yoongi who takes out his guitar and practices playing while watching TV. We also see JK who walks into the gym and decides to box for a while. First he goes for the box machine before switching over to the sandbag. You can see how good he is at this, his stance and moves well practiced and confident.
Tumblr media
Gotta also appreciate the contrast between JKs dark black and black outfit and the brown and pink slippers which aren’t actually his (I think they’re Hobi’s since we see him wearing them later in the episode as well). At one point he even wonders himself who they belong to.
Tumblr media
Then going over to one of the moments that had ARMY feeling many types of ways--Namjoon going on a bike ride. The scenery in this is great, ha ha. No but seriously, it’s so nice to see him genuinely enjoy his time on the bike just riding along, singing a bit of Bicycle and get to take in the scenery. It’s so fun to watch because he’s having so much fun as well.
Tumblr media
While Namjoon enjoys his bike ride, we get to watch JK back in his room playing with Bam. JK pretends to throw his toy and then hides it and watches with giggles as Bam is confused about where the two disappeared to. It’s such a classic game and so cute to watch. In the meantime Seokjin returned back inside to escape the heat and to apologize the the person who invented the AC for forgetting their name, Yoongi is still strumming away on his guitar, and Jimin has gone to the gym to exercise.
Tumblr media
Hobi finally decides that he will be the first one to jump into the pool and goes outside to get himself wet with the gardening hose. While he does so, Tae has finished his lesson and comes over as well still carrying his trumpet. Hobi pretends to spray him with water and then wanders to the left end of the pool ready to jump in. Tae announces Swimmer 1, Jung Hoseok, and with a happy yell, Hobi jumps in. While he plays in the water, Tae first shows off what he practiced during his lesson and then puts on the tropical remix of Dynamite and decides to make a collab by playing along on his trumpet.
In a little cut scene we see Seokjin lying on the floor flat as a pancake and spread out like a starfish while he talks with Yoongi about how there’s a heat warning advising people to stay in doors between two and five PM. And yet, still, the others are outside in the blazing sun having fun.
Tumblr media
Namjoon arrives back on his bike and Jimin comes out of the gym onto the deck, curious about the noise he couldn’t immediately identify, to watch Tae and then sing along. Eventually Tae sets his trumpet aside and the next song begins, HONNE’s Free Love followed by BTS’ own So What to which Tae, Hobi and also Namjoon have their own little dance party.
Tumblr media
After the party is over, Namjoon and Tae return to house C to get changed and Tae asks Namjoon if he plans on exercising more. Namjoon says yes but that he wants to take a little break beforehand since he just got back from biking. Once changed into an all white outfit, Tae wanders over to JK’s and Bam’s room where he gets to see that Bam sleeps in his kennel at night since JK says he shouldn’t sleep with people, and then attempts to play with Bam, who takes the toy and wanders back to JK. It’s truly so cute and endearing how strong JKs bond with Bam is despite, how he later notes, the fact that he couldn’t spend that much time with him since he was at a training center so he’s grateful that he got to run around and play with him so much while they were at ITS, even if it’s just four days.
They play with Bam a little longer, Tae noting how Bam’s personality hasn’t changed at all with which JK agrees though he thinks he can at least stay in place more patiently, though when he tries to show that to Tae, Bam doesn’t sit down but instead lies down, JK saying he’s just tries, that’s why.
While that’s happening we see Namjoon come back outside in a new outfit, a sleeveless shirt and shorts along with a bucket hat, and jog around the property. What amazes me here, but also whenever any of the members are at the gym, is how he jogs while wearing slippers/sandals instead of proper footwear especially on terrain such as this. The fact that none of them have gotten hurt somehow is amazing. After his run Namjoon joins Jimin at the gym for more working out and Jimin in this screenshot truly represents all of us while watching this scene. The Namjoon work out/thirst content truly was strong in this episode.
Tumblr media
Switching back to Tae and JK, we see Tae throwing a few hoops while Bam tries to play with him and steal the basket ball from him while JK watches them fondly while giggling. Then they decide to actually play some tennis. A solid plan, in theory, if Bam weren’t convinced all the balls are his and Tae and JK are actually playing with him and not each other. JK tries to get him to stay off to the side, which he refuses to do, and then throws one of the balls. But Bam is a very fast boy, so in the end JK brings Bam back to their room so they can actually play.
At first they’re not all that great but once they switch sides and get the hang of it, they manage to play quite well for a little while. They laugh and smile, and even if they don’t talk much, either because they just don’t or because we don’t get to see it, it’s easy to see how much fun they’re having.
Back at the house we see Jimin and Yoongi deciding to play a video game in the PC room. It looks like Yoongi isn’t too familiar with parts of it and yet, funnily enough, later down the line he still wins against Jimin after Seokjin comes to see what they’re doing. His explanation is that he just wanted to show Yoongi how not to play, easy. They’re so funny together! And while they’re playing in the PC room, Seokjin plays Mario Kart on the TV while eating grapes and doing his own commentary while talking about himself in the third person. It’s hilarious, even more so when he gets frustrated and ‘disappointed’ with Seokjin for losing. He’s loud enough that even Jimin and Yoongi hear him.
Namjoon on the other hand finished his workouts for the day and returned to his room to take the selca he posted back in July. Afterward he showers and decides to sit down and paint. Earlier on in the episode JK noted how there is a blank canvas in all of their rooms as well as paint. Namjoon notes later on how he thought about learning to properly paint and how he had this vision in his head of what he wanted to paint, but since he has no technique and no understanding of paint, it didn’t turn out the way he wanted it to. And while he’s painting, Hobi is in his room studying english diligently. I think this might be one of the first times, if I remember right, that we actually see one of the members studying, so far we’d mostly just heard about it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After finishing their tennis game, JK and Tae decide to drive around on the ATVs while sharing one, laughing and having lots of fun. They race past Yoongi who’s on his way to the basketball hoop where he’s joined by Jimin and we get to watch as Yoongi gradually corrects whatever he thought Jimin was doing wrong that prevented him from getting the ball through the hoop. Their dynamic really is so interesting, while some of the other members indulge Jimin at times, when the question arrises of why Jimin couldn’t get the ball into the hoop, the answer is simply that he’s not good at it, and while Jimin says his way of doing something is cute, Yoongi just flat out tells him that it isn’t so. It’s just so very...them.
Tumblr media
The basketball practice gets interrupted by loud repeating bang, bang, bang, which turns out to be Tae with a paintball gun. Having those was his idea, an activity they could all do together or in smaller groups, which also ends up happening here. At first Tae sets up a few empty bottles on his own and manages to hit them really, really well, and then he’s gradually joined by Jimin, Yoongi and Hobi. Side note - when Hobi arrives he has a camera around his neck but throughout the episode we don’t get to see him take any photos with it. Anyway, they eventually split into two teams--Tae and Yoongi vs Jimin and Hobi--and play taking turns. Some are better than others but they all laugh and have fun just the same.
Tumblr media
Seokjin announces that he’s hungry and thus begins the preparing for and then eating dinner portion of the episode. He goes to the kitchen to have a look around before going outside to fetch two portions of giant clams which, with some feedback from Yoongi who joins him for preparations, he prepares in some salted water.
While they’re in the kitchen, Namjoon moves to sit on one of the beanbags with a book he starts to read out loud and we get one of the funniest moments of the episode in form of the quiet of Namjoon’s reading being interrupted as JK runs past behind him while singing Dynamite and then, after a quiet pause, the sound of the trampoline. Namjoon looks over confused and we see JK and Jimin jumping around on it, giggling, before boing joined by Tae and thus jumping around as trio. Jimin and JK also show off some flips which truly was super impressive. Personally I’d be way too scared to even try.
After the excitement of jumping around we get a quiet moment when Jimin joins Namjoon on the beanbag and then wonder what they’ll do the next day and marvel at the pretty sky.
The night arrives and we get to see dinner preparations in full force with Seokjin asking JK to help him with the clams, as well as carry the chopsticks and plates outside, which he does. The two of them then wonder how exactly they should grill the clams, and later also if they should open them or leave them, to which Hobi points out that they should open on their own and then can’t force them open well anyway. Yoongi cooks something which he lets Seokjin try, who points out that it turned out quite spicy, with which Yoongi doesn’t necessarily agree but he adds water anyway to dilute the spiciness a little.
In the meantime Tae sings some karaoke and is later on joined by JK so they can sing something as duet. So, how about that JK and Tae subunit song sometime?
Tumblr media
While the clams continue to get grilled, the members decide to begin dinner with some hanwoo meat which they praise very highly (because it apparently really is amazing, but also because it’s one of the ITS sponsors). Before they get to it though, their peace is once more disrupted by bugs, Tae getting scared and backing away from a giant one while Hobi also gets surrounded, as well as Namjoon. Tae hides behind JK and then gently pushes him toward the bug so he can see it and ideally get rid of it. Truly the difference between how freaked out Tae, Hobi and Namjoon are while JK and Yoongi are completely unbothered will never not be funny.
The meat vanishes rather quickly, Seokjin at one point asking if there’s any more with first Namjoon offering him some, which he might not have noticed/heard, as well as Hobi doing the same as a joke with the meat he just put into his own mouth. They note how they aren’t fast eaters and yet if you don’t pay attention, everything is gone, which leads them to remembering a story about drumsticks from back when they were trainees, a story Seokjin has told about Namjoon many times over the years.
Once the meat is all gone, they wonder if the clams are ready and Seokjin decides to volunteer JK as a tester. He doesn’t seem to mind though and, after taking a bite, decides that they’re good and the other members dig in as well. JKs signature angry brows and expression make an appearance during dinner as well meaning it really must’ve been amazing. And like that’s not enough food just yet, Tae goes inside to cook some chapaguri.
Tumblr media
While Tae is gone, JK also excuses himself to go back to his room to feed Bam who also needs to eat his dinner. Waking up from his sleep, he’s happy to see JK and enthusiastically eats his food while JK sits next to him and films him with one of the cameras that were standing in his room.
Upon Tae’s return to the table with the chapaguri, Jimin uses his very loud stomach voice to call JK back to the table, who in the meantime laid down on the sofa in his room. JK decides to take Bam with him though Seokjin calls over that it might not be the best idea since it smells a lot like meat but JK claims Bam has no idea what meat smells like so it shouldn’t be an issue. And it really turns out to be fine. Unlike many dogs, Bam doesn’t even get close to the dinner table at all and instead walks around close to the deck having a look around.
At some point the members talk about their pets, starting with Hobi who mentions how Micky has lost his sight, something ARMY have also seen happen gradually through updates from Hobi as well as his sister, and JK says the same is also the case for Guruem. Seokjin notes that Jjangu can’t see for more than two years now which leads the members to remembering the time when Seokjin found out about his passing which happened to be right when they were at a music show where they were meant to record/perform MIC DROP. Seokjin had been crying and inconsolable so they performed just once without rehearsals and everything to get it done, and Seokjin had managed to hold it in for the duration of that performance. As ARMY it’s interesting to hear this story so many years later and to recall how back when this happened, ARMY did notice that Seokjin looked off, most though simply thinking he might’ve been sick or something instead. But unfortunately that hadn’t been the case.
After this sad memory we see Seokjin deciding to try if when he runs, if Bam will join him, which he does, which is followed by Yoongi also getting up to play with him, which the members comment as Yoongi looking like an old man with Bam.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While the members were talking and remembering old times, Namjoon disappeared inside on his own and started playing a video game on the TV. Looking inside through the window they notice Namjoon’s funny expression while he’s concentrated and Hobi tries to take a picture, though he concludes that his expression changed in the meantime and isn’t quite as funny anymore. The six decide that tomorrow they want to play foot volleyball together, as well as playing in the PC room later that evening.
Yoongi notes how usually he doesn’t game, but when he’s with the members, he does. And how seeing them happy makes him happy. This truly is so Yoongi, and it also reminds me of what he said in season one about how he doesn’t like fishing that much but he still enjoys going with Seokjin because he knows it makes Seokjin happy.
Tumblr media
While they game, JK is back in his room to clean Bam’s paws and eventually JK falls asleep on the sofa while Bam lies on the floor next to him and it looks like he’s having a great time chewing on what appears to be a pillow. Very puppy/young dog like of him, adorable. Namjoon though is still in the TV room though he moved on from games to karaoke and sings song after song by himself before eventually being joined by Tae, who sings along with him, and later on by Jimin, who quietly sits next to him and nods along.
And with that the episode ends.
Opinions and thoughts?
Much the way it was during In the SOOP season one, a lot happens in an episode, and it was very much the case with this episode. But, despite that, it didn’t feel chaotic (even if it might read that way) or like it was too much. There were lots of funny moments, quieter ones, as well as a few moments of thoughtfulness. And some thirst ones. Bam was a cutie once more, still the star of this season no doubt, yet the feeling I had during the previous episode about how ITS season two lacks a bit of that close to nature charm is still kind of the case here as well. Despite the fact that the members did lots of outdoors activities.
Something I liked though was how we’ve seen Tae with his trumpet, Hobi studying english, Namjoon doing things more for himself, basically these moments of more of an adult life peaking in through the air of fun group vacation that’s packaged as family friendly program. It’s good to see them enjoy both the times when they do things together in smaller groups or duos/trios, but also do something on their own since it’s such a realistic thing and I’m glad we get to see that. I know some have tried to twist the fact that some members chose to do things on their own in some kind of negative way, but it would be far weirder if they’d truly constantly stick onto each other and do things as seven. That would just be immensely draining for them, which anyone can confirm who’s ever been on a trip with a larger group. Sometimes you just need some alone time and that has nothing to do with how much you enjoy spending time with the rest of the group and how much you love them.
Overall it was a nice and fun episode with lots of activities, a really pleasant watch. It’s easy to see how much fun the members are having and how much they’re enjoying their time there so that adds to the enjoyment of the viewer, a lot. I’m very curious for the next episode.
Check out my post for episode one or continue on to episode three (post coming next Saturday).

IN THE SOOP BTS Version: Season 2 Ep. 2 Oct. 22, 2021
Yoonmin cutely bickering makes for the funniest moments. But it's moments like these, big slices of honest tenderness, that endear them to me beyond words. I love them. 💜

An appreciation for Run Bts
Oh boy, yesterday was rough. I was so overwhelmed. It really feels like a finale, even if it isn't. I do know that Run Bts took a break in 2018 for a few months, and I assume that they are repeating the same method for this year. After all, BTS and their crew have a packed schedule, from award show preparations to their LA concert. I got very emotional, which is really rare for me. Watching this Run episode made me realise that I had gotten very attached to the members. I have watched almost all of the series. Although it had been more than 2 years being in this fandom, I think that I got too spoiled with the 2020/2021 schedule as they would constantly upload episodes each week.
Tumblr media
They were reacting to past selves, talking about their memories, discussing how their series has helped many. Their smiles watching themselves during ep 1. The way they had so much gratitude when they realized that many Army's watched ep 1 when they thought that it would have been the least viewed. Oh gosh, it breaks my heart.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Them reminiscing the older episodes, I bet almost everyone got a little emotional by just watching them going back to the memory lane. Time really does fly fast.
Tumblr media
Bts has done a lot for us and it's time for them to take a break. We're getting ITS2 soon so we still will get our laughter dose. The editors made this specific episode a little sad. It's not the end, they will return. We have tons of other Bts content to wait for.
Tumblr media
I would like to express my gratitude for this show, thank you for making many of our dear Army's happy and for giving them hope during tough times, thank you for making us smile and laugh. Another thing, utmost respect for the crew for making this show a successful one, THANK YOU <3.
Last picture for 2021 era dalbang. Fighting Bangtan. :))

Hi
Do you think in the its2 ep2 they showed the raw selves of the members? Like JM struggling to play basketball/shooting game, V still in the running to learn trumpet (?), a small bit of hobi learning English, Jin literally cracking jokes about his losing video gaming. My mind couldn't capture it for rest of the members but I am sure it's there or will be shown?
I felt the makers tried to show that BTS are equally as human as us and often struggle/need practice to excel. The "God like" status which the fans have given them is not easy to be/maintained?
I don't know I think I could be reading too much into it. Sorry if this sounds offensive, if it did let me know which part.
Have a great day!
I think that the whole idea of ITS as a whole is to see them in a more personal way, get to know them a little more beyond what we have seen so far. They are in a relaxed environment, what they choose to do with their spare time, what they are learning, what activities they like to do, games they like to play, food they like to eat.
Now, I know that they still do have pre-determined activities, but they are mostly things they have chosen to do prior to arriving on property.
Episode 2 and some of 3 was also showing their raw selves, including showing that yes, they aren't good at every single thing, that there are things they might struggle with or want to better themselves in.
We are getting to see the members interact with each other one on one, and also spending time together as a group.
I'm not really sure if the idea was to show they are only human like us and not 'god like' as many fans see them, but I wouldn't write that off though.

Following some of the discussions under your recent post, it was so interesting seeing Tae standing up at the back and looking on intently while Bam got on the bus. Almost like he was holding back a little. Please tell me I’m not the only one reading into this 😂 But it’s very obvious that it’s not the first time they’ve all met him. I’m looking forward to seeing more in the next ep! (Bet it’ll be like… 2 seconds worth.) -CS1
CS1 anon!
I still haven't watched the episode 😭 but I've seen the clip of this scene and yeah he did stand up (Jin and Jimin too). Idk I think a lot of people are reading into the Bam situation so, why not? lol If anyone wants to add their ITS2 observations.

Let’s talk: In the SOOP 2 - Episode 1

A year has passed and here we are with the members returning to nature once more though this time things are much bigger, way more expensive, and their stay also a little shorter, though without interruption. But really the only thing you need to know about this first season is its true star, the one who stole the entire show and quite literally everyones hearts: Jeon Bam, the sweetest big yet tiny boy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, that precious Doberman is indeed JKs dog, one we had no idea even existed until this first episode aired, though we’d seen him before on JKs lock screen background thinking that it was just a meme or a random dog picture off the internet. I think this comes as a good lesson to some (you know exactly the kind of people), the fact that while some think they know everything about the members (and especially their ship), the reality is that thankfully their private life is still, for the most part, very private. Like, think about it, what do we actually know about Seokjin or Yoongi outside of their time strictly as BTS members, as examples? If Bam wasn’t part of ITS2, we’d still be none the wiser of his existence. So, while we sometimes feel like we know the members so, so well, at the end of the day we are just fans, not close friends or even acquaintances, and that’s more than all right, it’s how it should be.
Anyway, after this little rant right off the bat, let’s actually talk about the episode, shall we?
Episode one is pretty much what you’d expect it to be, as in both an introduction and a way for us to see them arrive at the ITS2 houses (two that have separate rooms for each member and the main big one for activities) and settle in along with having food and getting acquainted with everything. The episode if an hour and thirteen minutes long and the first of five in total this time around, so the next four will show us one day each. In order to get to the ITS2 set the members first took a very luxurious looking bus, where they discovered that Bam is joining them, and then switched into a van and a car since the bus couldn’t get to where they needed to go--the middle of nowhere.
Tumblr media
Lots and lots more below the cut:
As they arrive and have a look around we see the current scenes intercut with recordings of the members interviews thirty days before ITS2 was filmed where each of them could tell the staff what they wanted to have and do, as well as us being shown the renovations and the houses and camping site. Yoongi explicitly asked about it, so I guess they got one with him in mind.
Tumblr media
The members gathered to decide who would sleep where with Hobi bringing forth the idea of splitting them into Team Party Party (Tae, Jimin, JK and Hobi) and Team Sleep (Yoongi, Seokjin and Namjoon) though looking at Seokjin's colorful outfit Tae and Namjoon tease him for it saying that how can he be team sleep when he looks like party party. Cute.
Tumblr media
Seeing as particularly Seokjin and Namjoon explicitly mention being sensitive sleepers, I’m glad everyone got their own room and thus has the possibility of peace and quiet while they sleep without a roommate who could be making noise and unintentionally interrupt there sleep.
On their way to the Team Party Party house, Tae points out how there’s a section of the way where they should be either very careful or better not walk along it at all after drinking which prompts Hobi to say how Tae should only walk along there sober because he is worth billions. Jimin enters ahead of everyone and checks out the rooms, discovering a bug in one of them and quickly retreats out of it. After that he has his eyes on the upstairs room, the nicest one according to him, and luck in on his side (initially) since he wins a round of pock-paper-scissors against Hobi and Tae and wins the room.
In the end downstairs it’s JKs and Bam’s room, in the middle is Tae’s, on the right Hobi, and upstairs above Tae’s and JKs is Jimin. Though, unfortunately for him, later that morning Namjoon inquires if he could switch rooms with Jimin since Namjoon’s room is the closest to the main house and the noise of Team Party Party doesn’t allow him to sleep. Jimin, of course, agrees and thus his lucky win is gone again so quick.
We get a scene where we watch JK and Bam settle into their room, JK completely changing up how the furniture is arranged in one of the rooms to make it more fit for Bam, along with assigning him a “bathroom” space. Watching him take care of Bam so attentively, talk to him and praise him, it’s absolutely adorable and you can just see how much love JK has for his doggy companion. One thing I, and basically any other dog loving ARMY, immediately noticed was the fact that Bam has his tail and floppy ears meaning that JK got him from a breeder that doesn’t follow the “tradition” of cropping Doberman ears and cutting off their tails. Now, I don’t know how the laws are on this completely unethical and disgusting practice in Korea, so I don’t know if Bam has his natural form because of laws or because of JKs good choice, but either way seeing that still made me happy. He’s truly a lucky dog who ended up with a very loving human. And he’s such a good and obedient boy, follows JKs everywhere, even to the point where JK told him that he doesn’t need to be on guard while they are there, that he can protect himself just fine. At the same time you can see that he’s still a young dog, not even a year old, with how energetic and playful he is, and that he isn’t fully grown just yet.
Of course I have to mention the infamous scene we see the next morning where Jk goes to the main house with him and we get to see JKs face go from fond smile to “Oh shit (literally)” as Bam decides to poop inside. But like the good dog dad JK seems to be, he quickly cleans up the mess, even says he needs to get rid of the evidence before the members arrive.
Tumblr media
Speaking of which, the glimpses at interactions between Bam and the members that we’ve seen so far were really adorable, like Jimin asking him if he’d like to go outside with him and giving him a little kiss, Yoongi cooing at him in satoori, Tae playing with him while JK watched fondly, and Seokjin racing him. I can’t wait to see more since, really, the Tannies and animals is just the best concept.
Tumblr media
Okay, I’ve gotten completely ahead of the timeline but I’m sure you understand how I just needed to gush about Bammie for a moment. So, now, back to where we actually are in the episode.
Around four AM we see Yoongi sitting in the lounge strumming on his guitar, the first time we see him with one since his surgery last year, as well as Hobi and Jimin rummaging through the kitchen in search of whatever they’d like to eat. Yoongi eventually joins him, and then also Namjoon and Tae arrive who go exploring, first having a look into the gym with all the equipment Namjoon and JK asked for, and we’re treated to the sight of Namjoon and Tae doing chin ups, a first taste at what's awaiting us and, well...then they check out the PC room. In a cut scene we saw Seokjin asking for more PCs than they had last year and requesting for there to be five, which becomes true. Namjoon concludes that while he isn’t into gaming, the impressive setup even makes him want to play as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Afterward they also went to have a look at the selection of books that were prepared with Namjoon in mind, who also came to the ITS2 set bringing five books of his own along as well. Their little conversation about one of the books was really nice, and very Kim brothers like.
Back in the kitchen we get the first proper vmin interaction of the episode with Tae checking out what Jimin is cooking and initially acting like he isn’t interested and declining but eventually giving in after Jimin insists that they can easily eat together and share. Once more I couldn’t help but notice how cutely and calmly/quietly Jimin and Tae talk with each other, very cute. As Jimin finishes up frying some cut up spam and some version of ramyeon, they go over to set the table where we are once more treated to Yoongi’s knowledge when he tells Tae that he doesn’t need anything to place between the table and the hot pot since the table is ceramic so it’s okay.
ITS (just like BV4) truly are prime Husband Yoongi content with his cooking skills (especially since he was the one to request proper kitchen utensils after we’d seen Seokjin struggle a bit with the not-quite-sharp-enough knives in the first season) and random knowledge about things. Love it.
Tumblr media
Just like with season one, I don’t recommend watching these episodes on an empty stomach because you will only get hungry hungry as the episode continues.
Tumblr media
Sitting around the table they dig into their food (Seokjin at this point is already in bed ready for sleep and thus doesn’t join them at all during this first night, but I’ll talk about him again a little later), even Namjoon who initially didn’t actually want anything yet he still gets himself a bite of ramyeon and a piece of spam. At some point Tae goes outside to fetch himself a bottle of what I assume was Chilsung Cider (judging by the way the fridge looked like) and gets scared by a moth or similar flying thing which then also follows him inside and bothers Hobi. I love how unbothered everyone was by Hobi’s reaction, Yoongi just continuing whatever he was saying and then asking why Tae had brought his friend with him inside and how he should take him out again, though Tae concludes he’s not tall enough to reach it.
Oh, speaking of bugs, side note - there was a bug in Hobi’s room which he got Jimin to take care off and then proceeded to proclaim how he’d almost fallen in love with Jimin because of how cool he is. As someone who hates bugs as well, I relate.
As the hyungs leave, only Tae and Jimin remain and Jimin asks Tae if he’d like to drink some soju with him. If they actually ended up drinking any that night (or if they will during any of the other days, we don’t know since it doesn’t get shown). While Tae eats some more, JK joins them after he’s done taking care of Bam, and eats as well along with Jimin while Tae leaves to the PC room where Jimin joins him once him and JK are done eating.
Tumblr media
Until the sun is already out the soulmates play some kind of game (I’m assuming it might be Pub/G by what we get to see on there screens) though it seems like they lose (?) and sometime after five thirty AM they decide to call it a night though agreeing that they should play again the next day. We see Tae go to bed while Jimin stays behind and is joined by JK once again for a short karaoke session though, since it’s just the two of them, JK loses interest in it after one song and concludes that it’ll be more fun later in the day. He asks Jimin if he’d like to eat some ramyeon (yes, we did see talks about that and no I will not entertain the whole thing that went down about it because that interpretation solely relies on selective treatment and ignoring other scenes, and had shippers act in ways I can’t stand, I’m sure there are other blogs that were all over that moment in near, or completely, explicit ways (which considering we had editor notes calling them Busan Brothers, and Jimin calling JK his dongaeng mere months earlier, is just...well, not really the kind of direction you’d want to go in) so you’ll have to go to those instead) but Jimin declines by saying that he’s sleepy and they should go sleep. One after the other they leave the main house followed by JK arriving back in his room talking to Bam and falling asleep. We also see Jimin disappear in his room, and thus the night ends in the wee hours of the morning.
Due to his alarm JK and Bam are the first ones up since JK needs to feed him and brush his teeth, as well as let him do his business. Next Hobi wakes up and goes to the main house to make himself some iced americano and is soon joined by Yoongi who helps him a little with how to use their coffee machine. JK joins them soon as well and they get started on making breakfast while Hobi goes to wake up the other members. His first target is Tae who is still very much asleep. Initially Hobi just lies down on top of him before getting up again and grabbing his ankles, something that has Tae wonder if he’ll give him a massage. They have a funny exchange of V and J(ay) before Hobi talks about how he/they also has/have to wake up Jimin (interesting person to mention that to, Hobi) which prompts Tae to sit up, look around and wonder if Jimin is upstairs and generally where he is. Now, delulu hat time for a moment, but like why did Tae look around when asking about Jimin like he expected to see him in his (Tae’s) room and in the bed next to him or something? Just a thought. Just putting that out there.
Tumblr media
Hobi goes to his room to apply cream/sunblock (?) and get dressed before continuing his mission, going to Jimin who tells him he didn’t fall asleep until 8 am so Hobi leaves him be and moves on to Seokjin whom he calls Jan (cute) and uses the name to imitate an alarm to wake him up. Seokjin though requests five more minutes, unwilling to get up just yet. Hobi also goes to Namjoon, whose room apparently smells amazingly.
Back at the main house preparations for breakfast are underway and slowly the members do arrive one after the other and we get Hobi, Yoongi and JK in the kitchen while Namjoon and Tae have fun doing some karaoke to pass their time. Namjoon is the only one in a LV shirt and shorts which have Hobi saying that Namjoon looks like he owns the place and that he looks rich. Well, do I have news for you haha.
Side note - Tae looks so, so cute in his ITS merch shirt with the light pink collar, wow. Generally their ITS clothes look so pretty, I’d totally get some of them if shipping weren’t so outrageously expensive.
Tumblr media
Just as they are beginning to eat, Hobi heads out to get Jimin though when Hobi returns without him Seokjin says how they basically expected as much and are surprised when Hobi says Jimin will come in a moment once he puts a shirt on. And, true to his words, soon Jimin does arrive and is greeted by applause.
While eating the members think about what they could do, Seokjin asking Tae if he wants to play tennis, though Namjoon points out that if they’d play now (now being two PM) they’d probably pass out and how they should wait until later. And with that conversation we get to the end of the episode.
In the preview for episode two we see Seokjin in the pool, Yoongi on his guitar, JK, Jimin and Hobi (?) with water guns, S*pe and vmin playing paintball, Tae and JK together on a ATV, and much more.
Now, how about some opinions and thoughts?
Generally this was a really pleasant first episode, not too long or too full of stuff though, just based on this episode alone I have to say that I “miss” this certain kind of charm that season one had with the lake and the smaller space, smaller general scale, which isn’t a thing in season two. I don’t really get that out in the woods in the middle of nowhere feeling that we had in season one, though in that one we could see other houses etc in the distance which isn’t the case here. Chances are I might change my mind in this as the season continues, of course, but this is basically my first impression.
Looking at the amount of tech they have, like the PC room and the PS5 next to the giant TV, that also slightly takes away the incentive to be outside and do more “nature” activities, though looking at the fact that they recorded this in the middle of summer and therefore being out when it’s super hot and the sun is out isn’t the best idea, I get it.
On the plus side, Bam is a wonderful addition to the season and I’m really glad JK could take him with him. As I said, seeing the members interact with animals is one of the absolutely best concepts so I can’t wait to see all the Bam scenes. Plus, I’m sure Bam had a great time with his appa (who would’ve known hearing JK refer to himself as appa was exactly the thing ARMY needed) and his six uncles, and it’s wonderful to see how friendly he is with everyone.
I love how JK is basically the antithesis to the stereotype of the guy with tattoos, piercings and a “scary” dog since he has a full sleeve, two facial piercings, several ear piercings, and a Doberman and yet he is such a kind and caring person with a heart filled with love with a dog that matches his personality and energy perfectly. Both might look intimidating upon first glance yet in reality both are cute, lovely and awesome, and not scary/intimidating at all.
Also, unlike in ITS season one, we didn’t see any of the camera staff (at least so far), just the large amount of cameras placed throughout all the buildings and the one the members carry around. It both gives that illusion of them really being just them seven and no one else, and also somewhat way less explicit and drama filled Bi/g Bro/ther vibes. Oh, and we saw Namjoon turn off his camera before going to sleep showing that they can do that if they want to, unlike in a certain scene back in ITS1 where Tae and Jimin had to “hide” behind their duvet to take their selca so the camera wouldn’t see them.
Now, I mentioned I’d talk some more about Seokjin, the reason for that being that, like many others, I also feel like he’s the only member who actually knows how to properly relax. And what he said about that was just so...Seokjin, but also so wise and true, so I’ll quote the whole thing:
To me, resting is not putting meaning into time spent for self-improvement. Laying down all day or gaming all day. We live in a time where when I say gaming is my hobby, many ask why I’d do that. They instead suggest I be more productive by working out or doing something to develop my career. They often say things like “Find a hobby.” But I wonder is that really “rest.” You know, those days when you’ve done absolutely nothing, that people might look at you and say, “You wasted your day away.” That’s the kind of living that gives me rest.
To finish off this outrageously long post, for my fellow namjinists who went home “empty-handed” when it comes to namjin interactions (there was only one very brief one), have this picture we received:

This way to Episode 2 (post coming next Saturday).

Minimoni working out together is THE thirst quencher of Episode 2. Period.
And that glorious moment when Jimin just allowed himself to be totally fixated on Namjoon buffing up is a whole ARMY mood.

With Jungkook speeding through bumps like that, I would have both my arms and legs all over him like a koala. 😊
