I’m aimlessly planning out random things for my version of Saint Greer and I got to thinking about the storyline behind the town that I have going in my personal gameplay. Beneath the veneer of lovely small town charm lies a war that has been brewing for millennia. So if I were to actually offer the world for download (like I eventually plan on) there are different factions you can choose your sims to be in so you can make up your own stories:

Vampires - Whose goal is to subjugate the town to use as their own personal feeding zone. Over the centuries, vampires can gain power and hone in on their abilities so some vampires are much more formidable than others.

Werewolves - Hunted down to near extinction by the vampires. All vampires have an instinctual hatred for these beasts, as they are the only beings who are the physical equal of the vampires. As a result, werewolves are known to be loners in the hopes of not attracting the attention of others.

Witches/Wizards - Vampires and wizards have been at war with each other for millennia. Those who have magic flowing in their veins have the ability to instantly kill vampires with the sunlight spell. Due to that fact, the leaders in the vampire community only consider wizards to be their true equals.

Faeries - Commonly considered as the weakest of the supernaturals, there is one horrible feature of Fae that has often been used against them: their blood can be used to improve or strengthen the power of vampires. Because of this, faeries are often hunted down, kidnapped and used as a source of power for vampires. So you can expect that they tend to keep to the forests and shy away from strangers.

Djinn - Unbeknownst to all of the other factions of supernaturals, the Djinn are in fact the most powerful due to such powers as controlling the will of others and altering reality. Buuut they have one fatal flaw - they are often too lazy to bother interacting with other supernaturals and derive most of their pleasure in trolling and annoying anybody they come across. So if you ever see a sim acting strangely….they may in fact be a Djinn in disguise.

and last but not least…

Humans - The biggest population of the town.

I'm glad nobody's questioned why Sunset's personality is so different in the AU, but I'll explained anyways. AU Sunset basically has Tempest Shadow's personality. I decided not to adapt Tempest because too many redeemed villains, she doesn't play an important role in the overall story, and her broken horn is so cool and unique to her as a unicorn that any adaptation wouldn't do it justice. So I fused the two together. Sunset's backstory and hotheadedness with Tempest's tired, jaded, anti-social disposition and fighting skills.

Anyways, I hope it's not too jarring of a change. The more I develop Sunset, the more you'll probably notice how OOC she seems. I'll probably end up adopting Sunset into an OC once I'm done with the AU, since she's basically a completely different character.

Still hyperfixating on ClanGen! I've made a lot of clans but none of them ever stuck like this one, so now introducing...

The ChimeClan Leaders

They've had far too many cats in their ranks to count over their 460 moons and 5 leaders, each and every one very dear to me. Other than the info written in the art, here is a fun fact about each! JawdawStar as a new leader had to immediately prepare the small clan for a war with a neighboring clan, FadedClan, and lost many lives defending their right to the territory. Lost his final life fighting a FadedClan child apprentice.

AcaciaStar took on 9 apprentices during his time as a leader, only for a tragic fate to befall all but a few despite his best efforts to keep them safe. Promising to never take another apprentice after RushPaw was hit by a car, expecting him to die and being emotionally distant ever since.

RushStar was not a very notable cat, exiling all warriors who broke the code, even exiling half-clan kits with their parent despite many extinction events happening under his rule. Only 6 cats were left by the time he died, 3 elders, 2 medicine cats and BuckLilac.

BuckStar lost almost every single one of his nine lives protecting his remaining clanmates from venomous snakes and DOGS, so many dogs. Repeatedly drove off foxes in small patrols and was an all around powerhouse. Listed as a calico in game but all white anyways! I think that's fun.

MartenStar's arrival in the clan as a kit was followed by many loners joining the dwindling clan despite having almost never done so before! Righteous but recently injured a sweet, thoughtful mediator as punishment for.. something?? left a scar right across their throat. Has a rivalry with another new warrior who was led to the clan by starry pawprints.

Some worldbuilding stuff I enjoy playing with:

The highest honor a man can have in Hyrule besides royalty or the hero is to be knighted. There are soldiers but they are simply soldiers. Knights on the other hand are blessed by the queen herself, and are knighted typically because they match the qualities of a hero: strong spirit, unwavering courage, and so on. The knights of Hyrule are the strongest fighters and defend the castle if it’s attacked.

The highest honor a woman can have in Hyrule is the status of a maiden. Maidens are blessed by the queen as well and typically match the qualities of the princess with the goddess’s bloods in her veins: wise and powerful with divine magic. Though their magic is not as strong as the princess/Queen’s, together, they are significantly powerful and can help in defense of the castle.

btw artists you should maybe stop posting your art on pinterest if that's something you've been doing, i know a few ppl who have been sharing their art there

i'm not sure if this section has been updated at all or if it's always been this way but I was taking a read through their soon-to-be-implemented update to their TOS to see if they'll be adding anything with the increased usage of AI and this looks like perhaps this section exists (at least in part) for that reason 🤔 [thinking emoji]

unfortunately their report function for art theft/reposting has historically been less than stellar (an understatement) and I don't really see it improving any time soon but perhaps they will improve it with this update to their TOS and privacy policy! one can hope at least!

i wrote a really small thing related to this post! I've been getting back into OIs so i came up with this arranged marriage scenario in a Victorian setting for Asmo and MC and have been chewing on it for the past several days lol I think I'm gonna come up with more stuff for this later but I just wanted to post this for now φ(゜▽゜*)♪

The weather was nice out today so you decided to go for a walk around the estate garden and rest in a somewhat secluded spot. Unfortunately, someone had managed to find you. How did the two of you keep running into each other in place so vast?

"Sooo….." Asmodeus leans into your space to look at the pages of you book. "What are you reading?"

"…A book."

"…Well yea, but what is the book about?"

You hold back your sigh and answer instead. "It's just about something I took interest in recently…"

Asmo stares at you for a moment. "You know, I'm starting to realize something about you."

"You are?"

"Uh huh," he nods. "At first, I thought you were a cagey person, but you're just really socially awkward you know? You kind of remind me of one of my brothers."

You close your book without making note of the page you were on. "I'm going back inside. Goodbye."

"Wait, I didn't mean it in a bad way!"

You sigh. "Are you sure? Cause you've been pretty rude to me several times before. So I'm having a hard time believing that."

Asmodeus makes a face. "It was an observation?"

"Okay. Can you just…let me read please?" The request came out harsher than you intended but maybe you were feeling a little defensive.

So what if you were "awkward". You weren't expecting to talk to anyone when you came out here.

Asmodeus huffs and leans back on his hands. But he doesn't leave…. for some reason. Maybe he was bored?

You flip through your book trying to find what page you were on.

"Page seventy six."

You look over at Asmo who has already busied himself with inspecting his nails.

"Thanks."
