So I wrote the Addendum to Igniting Sparks - About our favorite Toastbaby naming geese; thank you to @norbertsmom betaing, thank you for all you do...I named some of the geese after a couple of your beloved pups -
Willow Melody Jade Mellark -
Willow Melody Jade Mellark came into the world with a shout. Her little face was scrunched up with displeasure at being ousted from her warm comfortable home. Her hazy blue eyes sparkled with curiosity at the new world before her.
Although she had an abundance of grandparents, it was her introduction to the old, beaten Mentor that altered Haymitch’s life. The day she met her beloved Uncle Haymitch, her little mouth formed an ‘O’. A bond was formed between the two, it was so strong Katniss and Peeta named him her godfather.
Haymitch went home and threw out all of his liquor. He had lost so many children under his custodianship that to have one that would never face the Games gave him a sense of purpose. Although they named her Willow, she became known as Melody because of how much she sang. Katniss’s first born always had a funny song or whimsical tune. For Haymitch, Melody was the song his heart needed to heal his wounds.
As a Mentor, Haymitch began drinking when he discovered how helpless he was when his mentees unjustly died. Year after year, he watched countless faces struck in a sick parade of death enforced by a lone man. Katniss and Peeta’s child, or Toastbaby as Johanna called her, changed his life.
Melody brought happiness to all who met her. She was as strong and resilient as the Willow tree she was named after. Whilst her sweet voice, bright smile, and gentle nature spoke of her middle name, Melody. She was always humming, always making up silly songs which delighted her grandpa Haymitch.
Melody, like her father, began speaking before she turned one. Her first word was not ‘Da’ or ‘Ma’, it was ‘A-Mush.’ Haymitch was overjoyed, Katniss and Peeta were not. He bought her a Duck plushie as big as she was. Melody loved the plushie so much she wouldn't sleep without it. After some time Katniss and Peeta hoped her second word would be ‘Da’ or ‘Ma.’ Once more they were disappointed when she clearly enunciated, ‘quack.’
Then she stopped speaking all together and Katniss and Peeta were afraid that she was falling behind. Haymitch said there was nothing wrong with his goddaughter. That when she was ready to talk to them, she would. Katniss wasn’t sure, but she felt as if Haymitch knew something they didn’t.

Sparks Ignite pt.2
Plot: Katsuki Bakugo and Y/N L/N are known for their intense rivalry, their constant bickering and competitive spirit are a source of both amusement and frustration for their classmates and teachers until, their rivalry evolves into a simple relationship.
pt.1
A/N: @pokiez-1217 requested a pt.2 of sparks ignite. so yeah hope you enjoy this!
Tumblr media
Weeks turned into months at UA High, and the dynamic between Katsuki Bakugo and Y/N L/N continued to evolve, much to the intrigue of their classmates. What had started as a confrontational rivalry had softened into a grumpy respect and occasional partnership during training exercises.
One brisk autumn evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon casting long shadows across the campus, Bakugo found himself once again paired with Y/N for a combat simulation. Their task was to rescue mock hostages from a simulated villain attack scenario.
"You better not screw this up, Ice Cube," Bakugo muttered under his breath as they strategized near the edge of the training ground.
Y/N shot back a smirk, unfazed by Bakugo's usual bluster. "Don't worry, I'll make sure you don't blow up everything in sight before we even get started."
The simulation began with a blaring alarm and the sudden appearance of holographic villains. Bakugo and Y/N moved in sync, their movements fluid and coordinated despite the tension between them. Bakugo's explosions cleared a path through the opponent while Y/N swiftly disabled threats with precise ice attacks.
As they reached the hostages, Bakugo grunted with satisfaction. "Looks like we're ahead of the others again."
Y/N nodded, their expression serious but tinged with a hint of pride. "Let's wrap this up. I'm not interested in dragging this out longer than necessary."
Their classmates watched from the sidelines, impressed by the seamless teamwork that had developed between the once-bitter rivals. Kirishima couldn't help but grin, nudging Midoriya and Uraraka beside him. "They're really something, aren't they? Who would've thought Bakugo and Y/N would make such a formidable duo?"
Midoriya nodded enthusiastically, his eyes fixed on the simulation. "It's amazing how far they've come. They've really learned to work together."
Uraraka chuckled softly. "Yeah, though I bet they'll never admit it."
Meanwhile, Bakugo and Y/N efficiently completed their mission, their focus unbroken despite the simulated chaos around them. Once the hostages were safely escorted to the designated safe zone, the simulation ended with a congratulatory message flashing across the screens.
As they walked back to the dormitories together, Y/N couldn't resist a small tease. "Not bad, Bakugo. Maybe one day you'll admit that teaming up with me isn't the worst thing in the world."
Bakugo scoffed, but there was a grudging hint of approval in his voice. "Don't get ahead of yourself, Ice Cube. This was just a simulation."
Y/N chuckled, bumping shoulders with him playfully. "Of course, Bakugo. Wouldn't want to give you too much credit."
Their banter continued as they disappeared into the dormitory hallway, leaving their classmates to marvel at the ever-evolving relationship between two of UA High's most formidable students.
Tumblr media
Months passed, and the partnership between Katsuki Bakugo and Y/N L/N continued to strengthen. Their classmates couldn't deny the undeniable chemistry that crackled between them during training sessions and missions. Yet, despite the growing bond, neither Bakugo nor Y/N were willing to acknowledge the deeper feelings that had begun to surface.
One evening, after a particularly grueling training session, Bakugo and Y/N found themselves alone in the courtyard under a starlit sky. They leaned against the railing, catching their breaths in the calmness that followed the day's intense activities.
"You know," Y/N began, their voice quiet yet carrying a weight of unspoken thoughts, "we make a good team, Bakugo."
Bakugo grunted in response, his gaze fixed on the distant lights of the city. "Don't get soft on me now, Ice Cube. It's just training."
Y/N chuckled softly, their tone gentle. "It's more than that, and you know it."
There was a pause as they both contemplated the unspoken words hanging between them. Bakugo clenched his fists, a rare moment of weakness flashing in his crimson eyes.
"Yeah, well... doesn't mean anything," he muttered, almost to himself.
Y/N turned to face him, their expression softening with understanding. "It could, though."
Bakugo's jaw tensed, his usual bravado wavering under Y/N's steady gaze. Before he could respond, Y/N took a step closer, their hand reaching out to lightly touch his arm.
"You don't have to pretend with me, Bakugo," Y/N said quietly. "I know there's more to us than just rivalry."
Bakugo hesitated, a countless of emotions flickering across his features. Finally, he let out a sigh, his voice barely above a whisper. "Damn it, Y/N..."
Before he could finish, Y/N closed the gap between them, pressing their lips softly against his in a tentative kiss. For a moment, time seemed to stand still as Bakugo froze in surprise. Then, without hesitation, he responded, pulling Y/N closer as the kiss deepened.
When they finally pulled apart, their foreheads rested against each other, breaths mingling in the cool night air. Bakugo's usual scowl had softened into something resembling contentment, a rare sight for anyone who knew him well.
"I guess... we're more than just rivals now," Bakugo murmured, a faint smirk playing on his lips.
Y/N chuckled softly, their fingers intertwining with his. "Yeah, I guess we are."
Their confession hung in the air, unspoken but understood by both. As they stood together under the stars, hand in hand, their journey from rivals to allies to something more had come full circle.

ravonna saying “you have soft spot for broken things” to mobius and her knowing immediately that he wanted to recruit loki into working with them make me think that it’s not the first time mobius tried to recruit a variant, using investigation as an excuse to save them from being pruned, and who know how many times he tried that? how many times he did manage to save them if any at all? and does he even remember all of them? since it’s implied that he (and possibly every other tva workers) have their memories wiped more than once. so who knows how many times he went around trying in vain? who knows how many times there might have been a hint of spark that were stomped out before it could be ignited?

I wrote a thing…for Comment Fest,- a Canon AU please go and read Igniting Sparks : A what if trope - what if nobody watched the games and the 74th games were the last ones.
I should’ve called this the voyage home but instead it’s called igniting sparks here’s a snippet-
Tumblr media
“While there will be no press at your arrival, the residents are quite excited to see you today. So, I beg you to please act like dignified children. You will be staying in the Mayor’s Mansion for the next week. The homes in the Victor’s Village are nowhere near sanitary.”
Haymitch snorted.
“Your house is in a particular state,” Effie said. “We thought at first to house the children there with you, but we discovered that it wasn’t fit for pigs.”
“You should know,” Haymitch muttered.
Katniss snorted out loud which earned her a deadly glare from Effie. She turned her head and noticed how Peeta's shoulders shook. His face was red, as he tried not to laugh at Haymitch's jab.
Effie smiled tightly as she spoke, “The children will stay with the Mayor…”
“Um,” Peeta began. “Wouldn't it make sense for us just to stay with our families until we know where we want to live.”
“Well that certainly is a good suggestion, however…” Effie however was cut off by Haymitch.
“The kid is right, Trinket,” Haymitch said, pouring some brown alcohol into his cup of tea. “I bet Sweetheart is anxious to see her sister.”
All eyes turned to Katniss. She nodded. Her worry shouldn't have been Peeta, it should have been seeing her sister.
"I…” Effie stammered. “...forgive me Katniss, I did not consider you would be anxious to be reunited with your loved ones.”
“I'd like to see my brothers. I became an uncle while we were away.”
“I wish we had the media present, that reunion would have been so lovely,” Effie sighed.
Katniss was glad there wouldn't be any reporters present. While she did volunteer for her sister, Katniss did not want the specter of the Hunger Games to dictate her life. She loathed the public spectacle the ex-President tried to make of her life and Peeta's. Thankfully, the man had become gravely ill right as Katniss gave Peeta the nightlock berries, trying to save both of their lives.
“Fine, the children can stay with their families. You, however, will stay here with me on this train!” Effie stood up and triumphantly walked out of the dining car.
Haymitch turned pale.
Katniss couldn't help herself and laughed. Upon hearing her laughter, Peeta laughed as well.
“Brats!” Haymitch muttered under his breath before leaving them behind.
Peeta wiped his face as they stopped laughing. “Man, he’s got it bad.”
Katniss frowned, when Peeta wiggled his eyebrows. She wasn’t following what Peeta was suggesting.
“Come on, you can see it right?”
“See what?”
“How much they like each other!” Peeta exclaimed, rolling his eyes as if it was obvious.
“Like each other?” Katniss couldn't help her astonishment. “They hate each other. They're always bickering!”
“Exactly, they like each other, but they don’t want to admit it,” Peeta said, picking up his cup of hot chocolate and sipping it.
Katniss looked down at her plate, a little weirded out about Haymitch and Effie. It was too weird. Yet again, it couldn’t be true, but they sure did watch each other. Katniss sighed.
“So what do you think about what Effie said?”
“I don’t know,” Katniss replied. Truthfully she wasn’t sure what to make out of the idea of living in another District. She was struggling with how to bring up what happened in the Arena with Peeta.
“I’m going to talk to my family, see what they say…maybe you could talk to yours too.”
“What if your family wants to leave the District and mine doesn't?” The question flew out of Katniss's mouth. Although she was confused about her feelings, the idea of leaving him behind and being separated from him didn’t feel right.
“I don’t know,” he said. “Maybe we can do it together, you know, talk to them at the same time?”
Katniss nodded. She didn’t say much afterward, only stared out as the scenery flashed by the windows. They were almost home. She could see the blue crest of the mountains and the rolling hills of the woods she hunted in as she drew closer to home.
Effie and Haymitch were once more bickering. Peeta shot her a look, and she rolled her eyes. The train began to slow.
“Children, children, please gather round, we are approaching the station. Katniss dear, why didn’t you choose one of the lovely things Cinna designed for you?”
“This is my maw’s dress,” Katniss said. “It’s special.”
“Oh, I never realized you were so sentimental.” Effie sighed, “You’re just like a piece of coal put under pressure that turned into a precious pearl.”
“Some Capitol education you got, pearls don’t come from coal,” Haymitch snorted into his flask.
Effie reached out and snatched Haymitch’s flask away. “Whilst you are living on this train with me, I have one rule, No drinking.”
Katniss turned her face away. She wasn’t going to get in trouble with Effie again or Haymitch for that matter.
“As much as the dress is sentimental, I implore you, to please put on one of the outfits Cinna designed for you.”
Katniss wanted to protest but she caught Haymitch shaking his head no. “Fine,” Katniss muttered.

Please go and read some really good stuff is on there!

This next transfer window we need to work on getting an attacking player who is guaranteed to finish, because relying on Jota to finish every shot when he's been having to drop back to help the midfield isn't working. We have some great attacking players, who have all had their moments this season that show their talent, but games like these show we need a clinical finisher who will get the job done when he's in front of goal and has the ball at his feet. Too many times have we had an open goal in front of us, yet our attack seems to think it's a game of rugby and sky the ball over the post. Matches like today where one or two players seem to be the only ones trying are really upsetting. I completely agree with Robbo. If I were him, I'd be so frustrated to the point where I'd have to be alone for a few minutes after the match. Simply watching the match had me lacking excitement whenever we counter attacked because I was expecting us to be caught, and we were. Please, just start scoring because if this continues, then it tells a lot about the determination of this team.

It's very fun how the Planeswalker's Guide to Bloomburrow played around with the difference between in-universe knowledge and audience knowledge in the story of Lily of Valley - using language very familiar to those aware of Magic lore to very strongly imply something, but without ever directly stating it because those recounting the story don't have that knowledge.
Tumblr media
Possibly my favorite part is the specific term, a perfectly Bloomburrow synonym for one more well established in Magic: a Seed of Flame, the core source from which a fire emerges and grows.
In other words, a spark.
I love the way this plot point fits so snugly in both the lore of Bloomburrow, a world young in magic and isolated in history, and the lore of the broader multiverse: Lily of Valley was a culture hero, a powerful weaver who drove back the forces of nature themselves, carving out a home above ground for all the Valley folk forever after. She was also a planeswalker, the ignition of her spark giving her the power to drastically reshape her world to her liking. One story spelled out, one written between the lines.
I just think it's neat.
