gonna throw my 2 cents in on this current Fandom Topic;

You cannot give in to resentful isolation. I'm serious.

Even if your last attempts went badly you have to keep trying. You have to make mistakes to learn from them. You have to find out who's worth your time and who you click with somehow, and you can only do that by Doing It Scared.

I fall into those mindsets, a lot. They suck. They're powerful and overwhelming and painful. I have to fight with myself and repeat over and over, No, you know your friends care about you. They've SAID that.

And I have to do this all the time. In minor and major ways.

Do It Scared. Try. If you feel like you've failed? Try again. There are ways to build self confidence but you have got to start with letting yourself feel confident any little way possible.

Don't give in to resentful isolation, that will only hurt you.

We all have bad brain days, weeks, or months.

Fandom will be waiting for you.

If you've started to treat fandom like a vending machine where lore/fanfic/art/screenshots go in and compliments come out, you should take a break.

She’s a lemur!! She’s the reincarnation for one of my ocs (De Wenyi) and she absolutely hates that fact and will ignore it for the end of time thank you kindly.

She’s extremely flexible due to being a dancer (silk/aerial dancing was her specialty) before converting to becoming a bounty hunter.

Much like her predecessor, she’s genderless (she/he) and has two forms depending on her mood/feel for the day. Masc some days, fem other days, the usual. It’s interesting to explore that part of her since only a handful of my ocs have the ability to just.. do that. But it will change. Because I am genderfluid and I think that’s fun.

She was made for an AU I’m working on with Knox—but I got so attached to her she might be a little, silly permanent OC—who knows!

Much like lemurs he likes to sunbathe, can purr and chirp—and she has some indri lemur in her so she’s adapt at singing too, haha.

She also loves the cold due to her namesake and, gosh, she adores traveling to find new places to settle down. It’s insane. She likes moving to safer areas. Wonder why.

IT'D BE SOOOO HARD FOR THEM….. kam at least teaches at the school angel goes to, but she's in another building where the middle schoolers are. angel would absolutely cry on her first day and make them feel so bad leaving her there 😭😭 but after she got comfortable, she'd love drawing and playing with the other kids. and she'd get to walk home with her mom! :]

deuce would be hit the hardest though because he works overnight. so now he's in an empty house w/ his wifey gone to work and angel gone to school 😔💔 he at least packed both kam's and angel's lunches with all their favorite foods and snacks... 💖

Life update + a thank you

On october 7th, my dad signed the contract to sell our house. The closing date is November 5th. We've been trying to sell our house since January, after our mutual abuser passed away. We've encountered nothing but road block, after road block, after road block. Some of you might remember that we were in such a dire position, I made a donation post or two, as we genuinely couldn't afford bills or food at the time. Unfortunately, all the things we wanted to use those donations for fell through; The car's repair expenses were too high, and we weren't confident that the car wouldn't just become another money sink, more debt, on our shoulders. So we spent the donated money on groceries and bills. If it weren't for this community, and for my friends, we may very well be homeless right now, instead of safe enough to sell our house. The donated money from this community and my friends was enough to safeguard us from the worst of those first three months. My dad got in contact with the neighbors and a very very generous woman has been feeding us and helping whereever else she can. We both have bikes now, because of her.

I would call this year the "objectively worst year" of my life. I've never had to genuinely consider what would happen if I went houseless. But it's not THE worst year of my life. I genuinely wouldn't have gotten through this year if not for the kindness my friends and GW2blr as a whole have shown me, so thank you. I don't know where my dad and I would be if not for all of you who spread that donation post. Thank you. I originally wanted to grab everyone's account PFP & Usernames, who reblogged or liked the donation post, but I deleted it awhile ago, and before deleting I realized how monumental the task of painting or editing a huge thank you letter like that would be. So, I hope this suffices. NOW, I can finally say, that we will be moving soon, and mean it. I'm scared, to be honest, but that's mostly because I've been in a depressive episode the past two weeks. I'll get better. This will be fun, and one of the most freeing things I've ever experienced. I know it.

To end on a high note; Thank you. Every last one of you. For the support, for the charity, for the kindness, for everything. Before November 2022, I felt so alone and unloved. I have a community now, talking to people doesn't scare me anymore. DM'ing people doesn't scare me as much anymore. I have friends now, close friends that I value a lot. And I can't wait to share the future with you, however that might be. Thank you.
