you’re curled up on the couch with the tv on low, feet tucked beneath you and a blanket draped around your legs. the apartment still smells faintly like ocean air and sunscreen.

iida walks in from the hallway, his hair is damp, holding the aftersun cream like it’s something he needs to apologize for.

he hesitates a second before sitting cross-legged on the floor in front of you, tall even now, posture still impeccable despite the way his shoulders are visibly pink.

he holds up the bottle without looking at you. “…i think i miscalculated.”

you blink down at him, squinting. “oh no. how bad does it hurt?”

“tolerable,” he says, though he winces slightly as he adjusts. “but definitely not comfortable.”

you lean forward, brushing his hair away to get a better look. his shoulders are definitely sunburnt, and the edge of his back, too. the kind of red that means he’ll be grumbling about his shirt collar all week.

“i thought you re-applied.”

“i intended to,” he says. “but…you went to get your strawberry mojito, and i stayed with our things. and then…i may have fallen asleep.”

you pause. “i saw you sleeping. you looked so peaceful i didn’t want to wake you.”

“that was a grave tactical error.”

“i told you to keep reapplying.”

he groans softly, tilting forward a bit as you start to work the cream into his shoulders. “i had reapplied. just not enough, apparently.”

you hum, smoothing the cool cream over the worst of it. he tenses under your hands at first, then slowly eases into it, his breathing evening out with every pass of your palm.

the show keeps playing in the background — something neither of you are really watching. you move gently across his back, pressing lightly at the sore spots, the aloe scent drifting through the room.

after a while, he speaks, voice lower. “thank you. for letting me rest. and…for this.”

you smile, fingers stilling between his shoulders for a moment. “you’re welcome.”

he leans into your hand just a little. lets out a quiet breath like it’s the first full one he’s taken all evening.

“you can finish your show,” he says, not turning around. “i’ll just stay here. like this.”

you lean forward, kiss the back of his shoulder, and whisper, “fine. but next time — more sunscreen. no naps.”

he nods and stays exactly where he is.

“No. You have notes to take Mr. Aizawa had I trusted me to supervise you. You’re the one who got in trouble Y/n.” He spoke.

It’s true you had gotten in trouble you might have been caught out past curfew, to be fair it wasn’t the most terrible study session Tenya was your boyfriend the only thing that made it bad was he was giving you the cold shoulder he was upset. You knew better even worse you got caught.

“I know, I’m sorry Ten…” you mumbled, your body scooting closer to him.

“You don’t have to apologize to me, you just have to follow the rules.” He spook, his red eyes looking at you.

He looked good upset, you hated he was upset at you but god did he look good. “Can I make it up to you some how..” you spoke your voice soft, your eyes till with his as your hands trailed up his thighs.

“No.” His voice hard as he grabbed your wrist.

You only rolled your eyes. “Don’t be like that..” you spoke leaning forward your face close to his.

His brow corked “we’re still at school behave.”

You smiled, his hands moving from your wrist to your elbows. “Just one..” you whispered standing up over him.

He knew what your were doing, he didn’t like it but again it was just you two, alone in an extra study room at the school.

“One.” He said.

And one turned into two, three, four oh and how you were on his lap. Tenyas hands pressing against your back, his lips intertwined with yours.

Sadly things were cut short when his little friends barged in Midoriya and Todoroki and long with a few others. You both sat there for a minute, Tenyas hangs under your skirt, his shirt and tie all messed up aswell and his hair messy. And to top it off your lipstick all around his mouth.

“IM SORRY!” Midoriya yelled closing the door quickly.

Iidas face lit up, him quickly standing you up placing you back in the chair in front of him. “I Cant believe that just happen, oh no!” He panicked.

Then his eyes landed on you who looked up at him so innocently, “this is your fault.”

“My fault your hard on yes, not my fault your friends walked in.” You spoke leaning back in the chair fixing your skirt.

He looked at you dumbfounded his face getting even redder. “Y/N!”

You laughed gathering your books together standing up. “I’ll leave you, your stiffy and your study group be my times up!” You smiled, kissing his lips once more befor walking twords the door.

“Might wanna sit down so it can be seen as much love.” You spoke looking over your shoulder giving him a wink.

Opening the door you make eye contact Kaminari, “he’s all yours gentleman.” You spoke.

“You sure looked like you ate him alive.” Kaminari said pointing at your boyfriend who was still a mess particularly the lipstick.

“Oops! Bye boys!” You smiled walking off.

blood dripped down tenya’s forehead, a silent reminder of his injury from a battle. he took on a dozen villains all by himself, with no heroes to help him out, no sidekicks, no students from UA shadowing him, nothing. although he thought the fight to be easy, and he turned all of them in to the police himself, he still had a burning pain in his cheek.

he wasn’t in a majorly bad condition, but he still felt pain and liquid dripping down his face. through all of the inconveniences, he rushed to your shared house, where you lay on the couch, leg draped over the armrest and. eyes focused on the large screen in front of you.

apparently ‘ingenium,’ who you knew as your darling husband, tenya, took down a dozen villains on his own. he fought the villains with such ease until three eventually overpowered him. suddenly, blood was splattered against his face, but you couldn’t tell if it was his or someone else’s.

but once you thought more about it, it made more sense for the blood to be his. he’s never even thought of killing another human being, of course, he was physically capable of it, but not mentally. he always believed people could change, but needed to help the unfortunate, the victims of attacks.

you believed he’d be okay. he was fully capable of taking care of himself, but sometimes preferred when you took care of his injuries.

the sound of the front door opening knocked you out of your thoughts, and your husband walked into the house, slightly stumbling.

he still had a smile on his face, and looked for your body on the couch, before greeting, “hello, honey!” his feet pitter-pattered against the wooden floor before he reached you.

you childishly hopped over the couch and jogged to the tall man, who was still in his hero costume. “i was watching you on tv! you did really good, i saw the whole thing!”

he thanked you and ranted about everything he observed during the fight, all while you led him to the kitchen. pushing his chest down, he sat down on the stool, and you wiped his face with a towel, which quickly became bloodied. his costume had small scratches on it, which he would probably become agitated about later on.

once you were done cleaning him up, he stared at you for a minute with adoration in his eyes. he stated, “y/n,” and took your soft hands in his rough ones. “i’m so glad i married you. you are one of the most caring people i know, and,” he paused, a smile forming on his face, “i love you so much.”

tenya loved to express his admiration for you. almost every day, he would give you flowers and many kisses before he went to work or patrol, and when he came back. sometimes he would even make a quick run to your house in between fights, just so he could see you.

but of course, you reciprocated his words to your husband, “i love you too.”
