I know you mostly focus on the Marika/Messmer relationship in your works (which can i just say i fucking ADORE IT IT'S SO GOOD GAAAH) but i wanted to ask, what do you think of the other parent? Who do you think Messmer's (and by extension Melina's) father is and what his relationship is with him? Is it Radagon? Godfrey? A secret third option perhaps??

im glad you enjoy my work!! as for your question, i think Messmer and Melina are like... parthenogenetic offsprings?? they are born of Marika only, which is why the game groups them in as brother and sister and they are the ones inheriting everything closest and most personal to Marika.

but i don't necessarily think they know each other exist, or at least it's my personal headcanon that Melina was born after Marika shattered the Elden Ring (at which point Messmer was already stuck in LoS, so he didn't know).

i actually think Marika only split into Radagon on the eve of Liurnia war, when Messmer had already been a grown young man fighting alongside Godfrey for a while. so technically, Messmer existed before Radagon. but on paper i guess the guy could be counted as Messmer and Melina's dad? cuz he's Marika still? (ugh my head)

but imo to Messmer and Melina they don't consider him their dad (and he doesn't consider them his. i lowkey think Messmer and Radagon despise each other 😭). they only regard themselves as Marika's children. at the same time, Messmer respects and trusts Godfrey, which is the closest he'll ever regard anyone else as a father figure.

This is the beginning of the end, and this time we have a drastic shift from the previous two redesigns with like... and actual redesign of Water Hazard/orishan/Bivalvan- hmm... let's just call this Bivalvan because I've drawn him before :P

First of all- so many eyes. Clam eyes are so (relatively) freaky y'all, truly the 'people with blue eyes: *staring into your soul*' type energy, so of the 10 visible eyes, Bivalvan has an eye ring, an iris and a pupil :)

And what do I mean by only ten visible eyes, there's a lot more blue on this design than 10. That's because those aren't eyes, that's the colour of his flesh and thus, for every hole in the armour is a valve (hah!) for water flow and thus, breathing! Things like the muscles in the claws and hood and the foot visible between Bivalvan's legs and waist are for mobility, the tendons mainly for closing joints and creating a water tight seal, the foot for movement of the limbs.

Speaking of limbs, you can clearly see how different Bivalvan's legs are :) really putting in the cockroach of my personal biases. An orishan's hands are just claws akin to the ones that rest on their waist that rest inside the claw. And those claws are in fact water cannons :P

Since I mentioned 2021 in my other George post, I wanted to talk about this too. This is an old tweet and the twitter advanced search function is hidden in the depths of hell (I had to search for it on google to find it), so I thought I should put this on my blog for future reference. This is George's reaction to the Abu Dhabi GP 2021 where Max won his first WDC title in a very controversial fashion. I've seen the first tweet numerous times, in a lot of different contexts. But no matter the context, be it slander or a joke or a rpf thing, it's always used to position George against Max and to prove that he has changed his views on him recently.

But look at the second tweet, posted 4 minutes after the first one. This is in the heat of the moment, George who's just gotten the chance to drive for Mercedes the following year, being vocal about an injustice that has happened to what would be his team and his teammate. He is, of course, biased, and angry. But through all this, he makes the point that Max is a great driver, that he still respects him as a competitor. He has had an incredible season. Mad, but he's still taking the time to be fair and give praise where praise it's due.

I hate how much people are trying to paint him as this emotional cry baby who has no idea what he's talking about. Yes, he is emotional, but most humans are and in a high pressure environment like an F1 race track it's hard to control the emotional responses sometimes. I personally don't think crying is a symptom of weakness, especially when it happens after a stressful situation and not during it; it's a symptom of caring about things deeply and that, to me, is a beautiful thing. But my perception of him is that he is always trying, to the best of his abilities, to be fair. And to back his statements with facts (not in this case maybe, but in others). And he's always trying to be respectful of other people and polite to journalists, and it always seems to backfire. Of course it doesn't always work out and he makes mistakes and misjudges things, because that's what humans do, but there isn't much grace extended to him and that just makes me sad, to be honest. It's like people have decided a long time ago what role he should play in this movie playing in their heads and they twist his words and chop his sentences to make him fit in at any costs. It's wildly disrespectful.

We got like 5 books that seems to barely connect to each other out, with more #1s coming out every month, but the phone comic no one talks about is the one you should be reading for closure and more information on these characters.

some people don't even know these comics are "regular" comics, because there's a lot of them that are just the regular books but adapted to a phone format.

these events have been mentioned at least once in regular print books without a "Read Infinity" marker to give you context.

I get that they’re terrified of women voting (and all the other marginalized groups, of course, but this one is specifically targeted), but Kamala Harris is so very clearly and demonstrably qualified that the only people who are going to be fooled by this are the people who were *already* fooled and definitely voting red anyway. The Republican women who are voting for Harris aren’t doing it purely because she’s a woman, or they would have voted for Hillary.

Don’t fall for these ‘voice of reason’ attempts. This is actually great timing though because even though [Redacted] College has screwed me over royally, its fuckery has put me in a position to write one of my final college papers ever on Kerry Weaver's seasons 2-8 arc as a tragic backstory arc or Kerry overall as a genre atypical tragic figure.

I just want to protect her from the horrors. She needs a therapist and a friend and her mentor healthy again to tell her she's amazing and if anything her newly discovered queerness only enhances that. She needs literally one (1) person in her support system. She just needs someone to tell her she's going to be okay and that the one thing she has in her life (her job) is safe. But the whole basis of her tragic-ness is that the writers sabotage her every attempt to not be lonely. So...
