I am a university student majoring in Software and Databases at Al-Azhar University. Since the beginning of my academic journey, I have been passionate about User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design, as well as website development. These fields inspire me, and I dream of advancing my skills and building a professional career in them.

Unfortunately, during the recent war, I lost my laptop, which was essential for both my studies and work. I was forced to flee my home and relocate to southern Gaza due to the difficult circumstances. Despite my efforts to replace my laptop, the financial situation has made it impossible to afford a new one.

Without a laptop, continuing my studies or seeking job opportunities in programming and design has become extremely challenging. This directly affects my academic progress and future career.

I am gonna finish my old wips first as a warmup before getting back into the good shit, and while I don't expect more than a tiny fraction of folks to still care about it, I've had part 2 and 3 in my brain for a literal decade, and there's no better time than now to write some self-soothing transhumanist utopian wish fulfillment, so think of it like art therapy tbh.

I'm picturing a turn-based RPG based on 3rd Life where, if you're friendly with the other players, you can either buy items from them or they can offer you trades and you can accept or reject them...

BUT if you decide to buy/trade with Scar, you find yourself in the combat GUI with no warning, the health stat is based on something other than hearts (charisma?), and unless you've already died twice, your only options are to use your other items like weapons to make counteroffers (wears Scar down, but only proportionate to how valuable they are), accept the deal (there is a 50% chance he will add something else to the deal once you accept) or try to run away. If you lose, you walk away dazedly wondering why you made that trade.

If you're red and try to fight him, good news! You don't have to worry about making the deal with Scar, you just have to fight him and Grian!

also YEARS ago when i was thinking of my ocs in a hypothetical competition/show format i drew these like "promo images" to give myself an idea of what they'd be like. i can share them now cuz even if i ever wanted to make something with my ocs it would 100% not be a competition format so it isnt exactly spoilers lmao

What app/brushes do you use to draw and how big are your canvases?

I use Photoshop and usually draw with basic hard and soft round brushes, but lately I've been using texture brushes that I've made myself. I also have some of Devin Elle Kurtz brushes that are available for free on Gumroad.

The canvas size is usually A3 size (3508 x 4961 pixels). Though as I work, I change the format by cropping or adding space, so 2500px is the minimum, and 10000px is the maximum.

Resolution is 300 dpi.

My secret little hobby project is still in its utmost infancy, so I don't want to talk too much about it publicly yet. But god damn is it a little thrill to write a stack machine and bytecode interpreter in C, plus a hand-rolled Fibonacci function as bytecode, and get it to work! And it's been a good excuse to learn gdb - I'm starting to learn why people describe it as "powerful."
