One of my favorite things about JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis is they both look exactly how I imagined they would.

Oc_Elara Starfire x Thorsten Oakland
*
'Only the rarest good fortune brings together the man and woman who are really as it were ‘destined’ for one another, and capable of a very great and splendid love...'
J.R.R. Tolkien_
*
"Darragh the White will be here as the New Moon rises" Elara informed Thorsten as she read the message brought by one of her messanger doves.
"I hope the Wizard has had word with the Avari. We need some good news. What say the scrolls of the Ring?" Thorsten asked.
"It is not Nerya, the original ring Celebrimbor forged. The three Sorceress talk of a celestial ring. This must be one forged by the Valars. Manwë, himself could have done it." Elara explained.
"But we do not know for sure?"
"We do not. The Valars would not directly meddle into the affairs of Middle-earth." the elfin replied taking a seat in front of the hearth.
"One of the maidens brought a quilt made of fine wool for you. I hope it will suffice." Thorsten presented the folded cover to Elara.
"This is very much appreciated. Thank you." the elfin made a small nod.
"Also - here are some cloudberries. We found them on the path to the river. I have nothing but fish to offer you for supper." he now gestured to the table, where two maidens had left the prepared food.
"That is most gracious of you. Cloudberries are my favourite." Elara was quite overwhelmed by the care she was shown.
She was not just an emissary to the Northmen. She was like an heavenly creature, a warrior, a mage of the good, of love, a protector of creation sent to fix worlds.
But to Thorsten, she was more than that. From the first time he had met her, at the age of twenty, when his father took him to sit with him on the Great Assembly in Arataur, he was smitten with her. His heart beat only for her, though he knew he would never be able to be with her, let alone ask her hand in marriage.
She could feel him being somewhat unnerved the moment he had entered the chalet. And she knew it wasn't the clash with a group of Arak Trolls.
"Tell me what is bothering you," Elara suddenly said, "I may help."
"Help-" Thorsten muttered and looked up at the elfin, his very soul quivering as her blue eyes, like butterfly wings flickered sunlit warmth into him.
"You are not yourself. I can feel it," her voice gentle and soothing, almost god-like, "tell me what is bothering your heart?"
He exhaled. Once again he found himself on the treshhold of making his feelings known - all he held inside for such a long time. Though letting his feelings out would change so much, he no longer could remain silent. Once again he exahled softly. "I know that," he started and paused, his warm brown eyes fixing on hers before he continued, "this may not be the moment - and may be very unappropriate, but I - " he paused for a second, breathing inwardly, his warm brown eyes glittering meekly, "I love you like you're the last of my kind. It is as if you speak the same language as I, yet no other is able. To be around you is like finally not being alone - as if all my life I've been isolated, in a windowless room, in a doorless room - and then suddenly you walk in as if strolling over a summer meadow. You are so much more than sunshine- you breathe life when no other can. And - I know that we can never be - but I want you to know this - while I breathe I am yours in mind, body and soul - always."
A gentle glow enveloped her, filling her with warm and fuzzy emotion. Her heart shared the same sentiment. But, as he had said, they could never be. Still, she felt compelled to let her feelings known. She took the charm from her necklace and put it in his hand, "I'm yours, too. Always."

Tried to find my copies of Narnia books and went straight for Lord of the Rings on the bookshelf. It's not alphabetically correct, but C.S Lewis' books should be next to Tolkien's on the bookshelf.

One room to bind them all – how to stay in the real-life inspiration for Middle-Earth and Narnia
Both J.R.R. Tolkien, author of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and C.S. Lewis, writer of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, were Oxford University dons. A leading expert says visitors can stay in the colleges where they once lived and worked and see the real-life places that inspired Bree, Mordor and Narnia. C.S. Lewis, author of the Chronicles of Narnia, was a tutor at Magdalen…
