In a distant time, where most of mankind is putting their unconditional trust in technology, Captain Fred Hamilton has a different attitude.
He is now at Orion Space Complex before its commander facing a charge of insubordination for slapping one of his superiors.
The reason: he refuses to take orders from the WIZ Computer System.
The Commander Armstrong decided not to punish him by now because he thinks Hamilton's mindset will be useful at missions in outer space. And orders the Captain and his crew from the Starship MK-31 to repair a 100 year-old satellite.
After the success of the repair mission, Captain Hamilton receives another order: To track the origin of a signal that interferes with all radio and video communications of planet Earth.
The MK-31 arrives to an alien planet to be received by two flying saucers ready to the attack.
The crew took down one of them and received a direct hit from the other. They had to make a landing on the planet.
In there, they found a race of humanoids who are under the slavery of a giant robot.
It seems the Captain and his crew are the last resort for both Earth and that alien world.
Cosmos: War of the Planets is an Italian space opera film from 1977. Its original title is Anno Zero: Guerra Nello Spazio (Year Zero: War In Space in English). Directed by Alfonso Brescia under the pseudonym of Al Bradley.
Fascinating fact:
A Star Wars rip off that gets its release a few months after the release of Episode IV: A New Hope.

La Fayette on Screen
There are quite a number of movies and series that feature the (historical) character of the Marquis de La Fayette in some form or another. Some of the titles on this list were quite thorough with their research … others less so.
Movies:
L’enfant-roi (1923) is a movie about the French Revolution, particularly about the life and death of Louis XVII, the youngest child of Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI. I have never seen the movie and I am a bit confused but believe that Clairette de Savoye actually plays Adrienne de La Fayette.
Marie-Antoinette (1938) is probably one of the most famous movies about Marie Antoinette (but not necessarily one of the most factual). La Fayette is played by John Burton.
Marie-Antoinette or Shadow of the Guillotine (1956) is a very biased depiction of the life and relationships of a young dauphine and later queen Marie Antoinette. La Fayette is portrayed by Guy Tréjan.
La Fayette (1962) is a movie mainly about La Fayette’s time in America during the War of Independence. This is one of the movies that takes greater artistic liberties than other movies. La Fayette is played by Michel Le Royer
Valley Forge (1975) is a movie about the winter encampment of the Continental Army in 1777/78. La Fayette is played by Victor Garber.
Jefferson in Paris (1995) is a movie about Thomas Jefferson’s time as the American ambassador in France, including his relationship with Sally Hemmings. La Fayette is played by Lambert Wilson.
Il ne faut jurer... de rien! (2005) is a romantic comedy about a young man living his best bachelor life and who does not believe in love but who bets that he can make a women fall in love with him within 24 hours. I have not yet seen the movie but would love to do so, because La Fayette, played by Jacques Herlin, is in his late sixties here. Finally, finally an elderly La Fayette!
The Lost Hero/Der verblasste Held (2010) is a documentary-style movie about La Fayette’s life, primarily during the American and French Revolution, but elements of his later life are also covered. La Fayette is portrayed by Matthew Keagle.
Louis XVI, l'homme qui ne voulait pas être roi (2011) is a movie about the role Louis XVI played in the French Revolution. La Fayette is played by Romain Deroo.
Series:
Marie-Antoinette (1975-1976) is mini-series about (the later) life of the last French Queen, Marie Antoinette. La Fayette is featured in episodes one and two and played by François Dunoyer.
George Washington I (1978) is a series about the life of George Washington prior to and during the American Revolution. La Fayette is featured in the first episode and portrayed by Philip Casnoff.
The Bastard (1978) is the first part of the “Kent Family Chronicles” and consists of two episodes. The story follows Phillipe Charboneau, the illegitimate son of an English peer that is forced to flee England and eventually comes to America where he becomes a leading figure in the American Revolution. La Fayette is played by Ike Eisenmann.
The Rebels (1978) is the second part of the “Kent Family Chronicles” and like its predecessor consists of two episodes. La Fayette is here played by Marc Vahanian.
La Révolution française (1989) is a two-part (or four-part, depending on the edition) mini-series about the French Revolution. La Fayette is played by the brilliant Sam Neill.
Liberty! The American Revolution (1997) is a six-episode documentary-style mini-series about the course of the American Revolution. La Fayette is featured in episode fife and played by Sebastian Rouché.
Liberty’s Kids (2002-2003) is a cartoon-series about the American War of Independence and different notable characters of that time. La Fayette is featured in three episodes (S1 E15, S1 E22, S1 E28) and voiced by Ben Beck.
Ce jour là, tout a change (2008-2010) is a series about different events in different times that changed history. La Fayette is featured in episode two, L'évasion de Louis XVI, and is portrayed by Patrice Juiff.
Turn: Washington’s Spies (2014-2017) is a series about continental and British spies during the American War of Independence. La Fayette is featured in six episodes (S2 E8, S3 E9, S3 E10, S4 E6, S4 E8, S4 E9) and portrayed by Brian Wiles.
Washington (2020) is a documentary-style mini-series, consistent of three episodes about the life of George Washington prior to, during and after the American Revolution. La Fayette is featured in episodes two and three and played by Jeremy Berges.
If you know about a movie or series I have missed, please feel free to add to this post :-)
