Return Faithless People
1 Elohim said, “If a man puts away his wife, and she goes from him and becomes another man’s, does he return to her again? Would not that land be made greatly unclean? But you have committed whoring with many lovers. And would you return to Me?” declares יהוה.
2 “Lift up your eyes to the bare heights and see: where have you not lain with men? Besides the ways you have sat for them like an Araḇian in the wilderness. And you made the land unclean with your whorings and your evil.
3 “Therefore the showers have been withheld, and there has been no latter rain. You have had a whore’s forehead, you refuse to be ashamed.
4 “Shall you not from now on cry to Me, ‘My father, You are the guide of my youth?
5 ‘Does one bear a grudge forever? Does one keep it to the end?’ See, you have spoken and done the evils that you could.”
6 And יהוה said to me in the days of Yoshiyahu the sovereign, “Have you seen what backsliding Yisra’ĕl has done? She has gone up on every high mountain and under every green tree, and there committed whoring.
7 “And after she had done all these, I said ‘Return to Me.’ But she did not return. And her treacherous sister Yehuḏah saw it.
8 “And I saw that for all the causes for which backsliding Yisra’ĕl had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a certificate of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Yehuḏah did not fear, but went and committed whoring too.
9 “And it came to be, through her frivolous whoring, that she defiled the land and committed adultery with stones and wood.
10 “And yet for all this her treacherous sister Yehuḏah has not turned to Me with all her heart, but falsely,” declares יהוה.
11 And יהוה said to me, “Backsliding Yisra’ĕl has shown herself more righteous than treacherous Yehuḏah.
12 “Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, ‘Return, O backsliding Yisra’ĕl,’ declares יהוה, ‘I shall not look on you in displeasure, for I am kind,’ declares יהוה, ‘and I do not bear a grudge forever.
13 ‘Only, acknowledge your crookedness, because you have transgressed against יהוה your Elohim, and have scattered your ways to strangers under every green tree, and you have not obeyed My voice,’ declares יהוה.
14 “Return, O backsliding children,” declares יהוה, “for I shall rule over you, and shall take you, one from a city and two from a clana, and shall bring you to Tsiyon.
15 “And I shall give you shepherds according to My heart, and they shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
16 “And it shall be, when you have increased, and shall bear fruit in the land in those days,” declares יהוה, “that they no longer say, ‘The ark of the covenant of יהוה.’ Neither would it come to heart, nor would they remember it, nor would they visit it, nor would it be made again.
17 “At that time Yerushalayim shall be called the throne of יהוה, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the Name of יהוה, to Yerushalayim, and no longer walk after the stubbornness of their evil heart.
18 “In those days the house of Yehuḏah shall go to the house of Yisra’ĕl, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given as an inheritance to your fathers.
19 “But I said, ‘How would I put you among the children and give you a pleasant land, a splendid inheritance of the hosts of nations?’ “And I said, ‘Call Me, “My Father,” and do not turn away from Me.’
20 “But indeed as a wife betrays her husband, so have you betrayed Me, O house of Yisra’ĕl,” declares יהוה.
21 A voice was heard on the bare heights, weeping supplications of the children of Yisra’ĕl, because they have perverted their way, they have forgotten יהוה their Elohim.
22 “Return, O backsliding children, I shall make your backslidings cease.” “See, we have come to You, for You are יהוה our Elohim.
23 “Truly, delusion comes from the high hills, the noisy throng on the mountains. Truly, in יהוה our Elohim is the deliverance of Yisra’ĕl.
24 “For shame has devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
25 “We shall lie down in our shame, while our reproach covers us. For we have sinned against יהוה our Elohim, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day, and have not obeyed the voice of יהוה our Elohim.” — Jeremiah 3 | The Scriptures 1998 (ISR 1998) The Scriptures 1998 Copyright © 1998 Institute for Scripture Research. JEREMIAH S.O.A.P. ~ CHAPTER 3
Thursday, 5/23/24
SCRIPTURE:
Only acknowledge your guilt — you have rebelled against the Lord your God.... ~ Jeremiah 3:13
OBSERVATION:
That's basically all I need to do...
He knows already how guilty I am...
What He wants is my surrendering my attempts to hide from Him what He already knows...
He knows I'm not perfect - even more than I do...
And yet I still go willfully into doing and saying things I find I want to hide from Him...
...and if not for Jesus, I wouldn't be able to even come before Him, let alone receive His forgiveness...
...and other blessings...
APPLICATION:
Only acknowledge my guilt...
PRAYER:
Blessing heavenly Father - I acknowledge my guilt - my rebellion against You and Your perfect will for my life... Thank You for Your Son Jesus and His example of surrendering His will and wants so that I might receive and share Your blessing of grace and forgiveness... In His Name, Lord God, and for Your honor and worshipful glory...
For Him... for you... for yours...

Chemistry and Cadavers - Conrad fisher x reader
Tumblr media
Chapter Summary - You, a bright-eyed sophomore college student majoring in biology stumble upon Conrad fisher, an attractive yet forgetful student who happens to forget his pen on his first day of class...
Warnings - Fluff, teasing, super cute tbh haha
*Authors note* - So I've decided to start a new series due to the nonexistent amount of new tsitp fic's here lmao, if you enjoy a like a repost would be appreciated. Let me know if you have any feedback to improve my writing. Enjoy loves!
Chapter 1: Chemistry and Cadavers
The crisp autumn air on the college campus was invigorating, bringing with it the promise of a new academic year filled with possibilities. The campus was alive with the sounds of students hurrying to their classes, the rustling of leaves in the trees, and the distant hum of chatter from the quad. Among the new faces and returning students was Y/N, a bright and ambitious sophomore majoring in biology.
Y/N had always been passionate about the sciences, and this year, she was especially excited about her anatomy and physiology class. Little did she know that her enthusiasm for the subject would lead to a series of events that would change her college experience in ways she hadn’t anticipated.
As she walked into the lecture hall, she noticed the familiar faces of her classmates and scanned the room for an available seat. She spotted a spot in the middle of the room and made her way over, settling into her chair just as the professor walked in.
“Good morning, everyone,” the professor greeted, his voice carrying a tone of authority and excitement. “Today, we’re diving into the intricacies of human anatomy, and I have a feeling this semester is going to be an exciting journey.”
Y/N smiled to herself, her excitement bubbling over as the professor began the lecture. She took out her notebook, ready to absorb every detail of the day’s lesson. As the lecture progressed, she couldn’t help but notice the student sitting a few rows ahead of her, who seemed to be struggling with his notes and the lecture material. He had tousled brown hair, a laid-back demeanor, and an occasional frustrated glance at his notes.
When the lecture ended, Y/N gathered her things and headed out of the lecture hall, intending to grab a coffee before her next class. As she walked through the bustling hallway, she was approached by a friendly voice.
“Hey, Y/N, wait up!”
She turned to see her friend Lila catching up with her. “Hey, Lila! What’s up?”
“I heard you were in the anatomy lecture this morning. How was it?” Lila asked, a teasing smile on her face.
“It was great,” Y/N replied. “I’m really looking forward to this semester. Anatomy is such a fascinating subject.”
Lila’s eyes sparkled with mischief. “You know, I think you might have a classmate who’s also taking that course. He’s known for being a bit of a mess, especially when it comes to anatomy. His name is Conrad Fisher.”
Y/N raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Conrad Fisher? I think I saw him in class today. He seemed to be having a hard time keeping up.”
Lila laughed. “That’s the one. He’s actually a really nice guy, but he’s notorious for needing a little extra help with his studies. If you see him around, you might want to keep an eye out. He’s always borrowing pens or asking for assistance.”
Y/N chuckled. “Noted. I’ll keep that in mind.”
Later that week, Y/N found herself in the anatomy lab for the first time. The lab was a place of intense focus and concentration, with rows of cadaver tables and an array of dissection tools neatly arranged. The room was filled with the quiet murmur of students working together, and the scent of formaldehyde lingered in the air.
Y/N set up her station and began to review the lab manual when she heard a voice nearby.
“Hey, do you have a spare pen?” the voice asked.
Y/N looked up to see Conrad Fisher standing beside her table, his expression a mix of embarrassment and frustration. He held up a pen cap, indicating that he had lost the actual pen.
“Sure, here you go,” Y/N said, handing him a pen with a smile.
“Thanks,” Conrad said, taking the pen and looking visibly relieved. “I seem to have misplaced mine again. I swear, it’s like they disappear into thin air.”
Y/N laughed softly. “It happens. You’ll get used to the lab environment eventually.”
Conrad smiled gratefully. “I hope so. I’m Conrad, by the way. I think we’re going to be lab partners for this course.”
“Y/N,” she said, extending her hand. “Nice to meet you.”
As they worked side by side, Y/N found that Conrad’s easygoing nature and good humor made the long hours in the lab more enjoyable. They talked about their classes, shared stories, and found themselves falling into a comfortable rhythm of collaboration. Despite the occasional moments of distraction and light-hearted teasing, they made a great team.
Over the next few weeks, their interactions continued to be marked by playful banter and occasional flirtation. Conrad would often ask Y/N for help with his dissections, and she would gladly oblige, offering guidance and tips with a teasing edge.
One day, as they were working on a particularly challenging dissection, Conrad looked up from his work with a grin. “So, Y/N, do you have any other hidden talents besides being a dissecting wizard?”
Y/N raised an eyebrow, her lips curving into a mischievous smile. “Well, I can bake a mean batch of cookies, if that counts.”
Conrad’s eyes lit up with interest. “Cookies? Now you’re speaking my language. Maybe I’ll have to take you up on that offer sometime.”
“Only if you promise not to lose any more pens,” Y/N replied playfully.
Conrad laughed, shaking his head. “Deal. I’ll do my best to keep track of my writing instruments from now on.”
Their banter became a regular feature of their interactions, and the chemistry between them was evident to everyone around them. Despite their undeniable connection, they both maintained a façade of casual friendship, much to the amusement of their friends.
One afternoon, after a particularly grueling lab session, Conrad and Y/N found themselves sitting on a bench outside the science building, taking a well-deserved break.
“I think that was the most challenging dissection we’ve had yet,” Conrad said, stretching his arms. “I’m glad we made it through.”
Y/N nodded in agreement, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “I have to say, your technique is improving. You’re almost as good as me now.”
Conrad raised an eyebrow. “Almost? I’ll take that as a compliment.”
As they chatted, a group of their friends approached, and one of them, Sarah, gave them a knowing smile. “You two seem to be getting along quite well.”
Y/N and Conrad exchanged a glance, both of them trying to suppress their smiles. “We’re just lab partners,” Y/N said casually.
“Sure, just lab partners,” Sarah said with a teasing grin. “But everyone can see the chemistry between you two.”
Conrad blushed slightly, and Y/N couldn’t help but laugh. “We’re just friends, honestly.”
Sarah and the others laughed and continued on their way, leaving Y/N and Conrad to their conversation.
“You know,” Conrad said, his tone playful, “it’s funny how everyone is always trying to push us together.”
Y/N shrugged, trying to hide her own smile. “It’s probably just because we spend so much time together. It’s hard not to notice the dynamic.”
Conrad’s eyes sparkled with mischief. “Well, if they’re right, maybe we should just embrace the idea.”
Y/N gave him a playful nudge. “Oh, really? And what would that look like?”
Conrad leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a mock-serious tone. “It would probably involve a lot more teasing, a few more flirtatious comments, and maybe even some impromptu study dates.”
Y/N laughed, shaking her head. “Sounds like a lot of work. I think we’re doing just fine as friends.”
“Agreed,” Conrad said, his smile warm and genuine. “But it’s fun to think about.”
As the weeks passed, Y/N and Conrad’s playful flirtation continued, with their friends often teasing them about their obvious chemistry. Despite their mutual attraction and the flirtatious banter, they remained steadfast in their commitment to being just friends.
Their interactions were filled with laughter and light-hearted teasing, creating a dynamic that was both enjoyable and endearing. Whether it was borrowing pens, helping with dissections, or sharing jokes, their connection grew stronger with each passing day.
As the semester progressed, Y/N and Conrad found themselves increasingly drawn to each other, their friendship evolving into something deeper and more meaningful. Despite their best efforts to deny their feelings, the chemistry between them was undeniable, and their playful banter only served to highlight the growing connection they shared.

His Cheerleader : Jeremiah Fisher x Reader
Tumblr media
Desc: Jeremiah can always rely on y/n to be his cheerleader, no matter what team he makes, if his father shows up or not, how he plays, etc. Kinda like his internal monologue/thoughts on their relationship but also has “current moments” with the couple at one of his games! Fluff, miiiinnor hurt-comfort (mostly just comfort), established relationship, sports!bf trope, etc.
Warnings: Relationship(s)- including but not limited to romantic and familial, kissing, hugging, physical contact/affection, some light PDA, Mr. Fisher (he deserves his own warning cause he’s trash within & outside of this fic)
Notes: Susannah is alive in this fic, it is NOT stated what her condition is at the time of these events.
Length: 1.5k
Tumblr media
Jeremiah was used to being the brother that was overlooked. Everyone seemed to focus on Conrad. Conrad was always older. Conrad was always taller. Conrad was always more mysterious and intriguing. Conrad was always better at the things their father thought to be important. Conrad was always more talented. Conrad was always more athletic. Conrad was always better at football. It was no wonder everyone cheered for and focused on Conrad. Everyone but her.
Jeremiah wasn’t sure what it was he’d done in his life to deserve her, but somehow the universe decided he did. And he was ecstatic about it. She was one person Jeremiah could always count on to cheer him on. Well, her and his mother Susanna. But he had to share his mother’s love and support with Conrad. He didn’t have to do that with her. She was all his. Not in some controlling or possessive way. But in that he knew her heart was stitched to his indefinitely. That she was always on his side. That she would always be there to encourage him when he was down and cheer for him when he succeeded. He didn’t have to worry about her support waning if he were to lose a game. He didn’t have to worry about letting her down by not playing his best. He knew even if he’d made a complete fool of himself, she’d be there pretending as if he hadn’t and loving him nonetheless. He knew all of this and had felt it for what seemed like ages. Yet it always made his heart flutter to think about it. He truly couldn’t believe he could call her his. His best friend. His crush. His girlfriend. His cheerleader. His rock. His love. His everything.
Tonight was another example of her unbelievable dedication and support.
Jeremiah had been sulking on the bench after having gotten pulled out by his coach after a failed play. He knew he’d messed up, but he wanted another chance. Not that it mattered. While he undoubtedly wanted to make his mom proud as well, he knew his father was not in attendance tonight. Although he rarely ever was. Even if Jeremiah had only taken up the sport in order to spend more time with him. He was pulled from his sulking when his teammate Trent nudged him. Instead of vocalizing his reasoning when Jeremiah looked over at him, Trent nodded his head towards the section of stands that were directly across from them. Jeremiah squinted faintly so his eyes could adjust to see past the stadium lights and into the crowd. His frown immediately turned into a wide grin as his eyes found her. He couldn’t believe she’d come tonight.
She was supposed to be at home, studying for an important exam. She was a far better student than he was. Not that he really put much effort into his schoolwork. But she did. She took school very seriously and had high expectations for herself. She’d come to nearly all of his games, but he had gotten her to agree that on nights where she had schoolwork or other priorities that she’d choose those. She went to a different school than he did, which meant she also had to travel some to attend his games. Yet, despite all of that, she was here again tonight to watch him play.
Jeremiah hoped she’d studied at least some. But he was selfishly happy she’d come tonight. His father was supposed to be here, but had texted his mom minutes before kickoff that he wasn’t coming after all. He’d been beyond disappointed with the cancellation. And that was only worsened when he was pulled from the game moments ago. However, her attendance had instantly turned his night around.
Jeremiah smiled widely as he watched her waving ecstatically from beside his mom. He quietly chuckled and waved back at her. He heard Trent mutter something, causing him to shift his attention away from her. “What?”
“I just said your cheerleader is back,” Trent laughed, once again nudging Jeremiah.
Tumblr media
Jeremiah’s head whipped to the side as soon as he heard the whistle blowing. He could only faintly make out that the crowd was cheering, her voice sounding far louder than the others as she chanted his name proudly. He’d just scored a touchdown and yet all he could think about was turning to see her reaction. He knew even if he’d messed up the play she’d have been cheering for him. But to see her jumping up and down as she and his mom held up a homemade banner that had his name and jersey number on it? That was better than anything. As he looked closer, he wanted to cry. She was wearing his alternate jersey over a hoodie he could tell was his as well. He shook his head in loving disbelief. He shamelessly lifted up his hands and made a heart shape with them as he continued to face her despite the whole stadium looking at him.
Tumblr media
Jeremiah joined the huddle with his team to do one last hurrah to celebrate their victory tonight. But his mind was elsewhere. He could hear the family and student sections of fans racing down the bleachers and onto the field behind their group. And he knew she was with them. He wasn’t even truly sure which team cheer the team had chosen for tonight’s win. All he knew was the second the players were cleared to greet their fans. And without hesitation, he spun around and raced towards her. It took him no effort to spot her. As he approached, he lifted her into the air, smiling as she giggled in his arms. Upon setting her back on the ground, he tore off his helmet and pulled her in for a passionate kiss. He rested his head on her forehead as they pulled back and smiled. “Thank you for coming”.
“There’s no where else I’d rather be Jere,” she winked. “Congrats babe!”
“I am very lucky to have you,” Jeremiah nodded with a grin.
“That’s-Jere!” She groaned playfully. She chuckled. “That’s not what I meant! Congrats on the win, babe!”
Jeremiah chuckled and pulled her in for another kiss. “I knew what you meant,” he confessed. “But I still stand by what I said.” He laughed again as he watched her bashful reaction to his flirtation. “God, you’re so pretty”.
“Look who’s talking!” She scoffed, reaching up to run her hands through his sweaty curls. She pulled him in for a tight hug. “But seriously Jere, you did amazing!”
Jeremiah smiled as he rested his head on her shoulder. His smile grew as he spotted his mom approaching from behind her, a camera in his mom’s hand as she photographed the couple. He pulled back momentarily in order to greet his mom.
“Did you see the sign?” His mom questioned, holding up the mentioned item.
“I did,” Jeremiah grinned at his girlfriend. He snaked his arm around her waist and brought her to his side. “I love it,” he said, kissing her cheek.
She giggled shyly and snuggled into his side. “I wanted to make it bigger, but that’s the only poster board I had at home,” she explained with a soft sigh.
Jeremiah hummed. “It’s perfect,” he promised. “But, speaking of, why aren’t you at home?”
She frowned and looked up at him. “You didn’t want me to come?”
“I love you being here baby, you know that,” Jeremiah reassured. “But I thought you had that exam to study for?”
She shrugged. “I did study, I also took the bus here instead of driving so I could study on the way”.
Jeremiah felt his eyes start to water. “You took the bus? You didn’t need to go through all of this-“
She shushed him and held him tightly. “I’m just grateful Susanna offered for you guys to drive me home tonight afterwards so I could come,” she smiled.
Jeremiah smiled appreciatively at his mom. “I’m truly happy you’re both here,” he stated warmly.
“I’m sorry he didn’t come,” she whispered with a sympathetic frown, picking up on his underlying meaning.
Jeremiah hummed. “I know you are, but I have, as Trent calls you, my personal cheerleader, with me,” he grinned. “I couldn’t be happier,” he said, lips pressed to the top of her head.
“I’ll always be your cheerleader, just yours,” she winked.
“Not the team’s?”
“No, our schools are rivals you know,” she reminded with a laugh. “But I’m proud to be your cheerleader”.
Jeremiah blushed and pulled her to his chest as he gazed down at her. “And I’m proud to have you as my cheerleader”. His fingers played with the hem of the jersey of his she was wearing. “I must say though, this Jere’s/highschool/team jersey looks really good on you,” he smirked, leaning down to kiss her.
