uses of generative ai i think it makes sense to get mad about or be appalled by:
creating any kind of art, especially if then trying to build an audience using it and/or trying to make money off it
completing homework assignments
completing work tasks that significantly impact other people
completing work tasks that could significantly impact your professional reputation & career
any kind of research / treating it like a search engine
plugging unfinished fics into it to get an ending
editing writing of any kind
uses i think it doesnt make any sense to get all up in arms about:
writing emails
#personally i still wouldnt do it bc im a control freak lmao#but like. with all the morally questionable and outright risky applications there are#why tf yall getting so mad about emails#i dislike plagiarism & environmental costs as much ad the next guy#but i really dont think emails have much in the way of artistic merit#personally i would recommend using an extension that lets u make email templates#it would be more reliable and very fast once theyre set up#but i see how chatgpt is less effort and honestly. unless ur job is really important like healthcare or social work or w/e#the risks of an ai fuckup impacting anybody but u seem minimal

The Top 7 Cover Letter Templates to Help You Land Your Dream Job
These days, job hunters and hiring managers alike are divided on whether cover letters are still relevant in today’s job market. Many now argue that cover letters are an outdated formality in an era where online applications are the norm. However, others believe that a well-crafted cover letter specifically written for a given opening can set a candidate apart and give them the edge for hotly contested positions.
Though there are plenty of people who disagree with writing cover letters, most people with a firm understanding of job hiring in the Philippines understand that a strong cover letter can still be a deciding factor in a jobseeker’s prospects, even in digitally transformed job sectors. In particular, many hiring managers who skip cover letters in the initial search stages may still circle back to them when it’s time to pick someone out of a list of shortlisted candidates.
Cover letters (or the lack thereof) can also strongly influence a hiring manager’s initial selections. Quite often, cover letters are checked for keywords and other signs that could indicate a candidate’s suitability for a position and their alignment with their company’s values and business goals. Even when they’re not a fan of them, very few hiring managers will throw out your application just because it came with a cover letter.
At the end of the day, the benefits of spending a few minutes to draft a targeted letter far outweigh the downsides. That said, given the stakes involved, writing a good cover letter can be tough even for seasoned writers.
To help you get started, below are seven cover letter templates tailored to various important job sectors in the Philippines. Carefully research each company you’re interested in, choose the most suitable template, and replace the information contained in the brackets. How to Create an Outstanding Data Analyst Resume: A Detailed Guide
Crafting a compelling resume is crucial for any professional, but for data analysts, it's particularly important. With the increasing demand for data-driven decision-making in organizations, data analysts are in high demand. However, this also means the competition is fierce. To stand out, you need a well-crafted data analyst resume that showcases your technical skills, experience, and ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.
Why Your Data Analyst Resume Matters
Before diving into the structure of an effective resume, it's essential to understand why your data analyst resume is so important. Your resume is often the first point of contact between you and a potential employer. It needs to capture attention quickly and convey your qualifications in a clear and concise manner. A well-structured data analyst resume sample can serve as an excellent guide, helping you highlight the right skills, experience, and accomplishments that align with the job you're applying for.
Key Sections to Include in Your Data Analyst Resume Sample
Contact Information Start with your full name, phone number, email address, and LinkedIn profile. If you have a professional portfolio or GitHub repository that showcases your work, include links to these as well.
Professional Summary The professional summary is a brief section that sits at the top of your resume, providing a snapshot of your experience and skills. This is your chance to make a strong first impression. For example: "Detail-oriented data analyst with 4+ years of experience in interpreting and analyzing data in various industries. Proficient in Python, SQL, and Excel with a strong background in statistical analysis and data visualization."
Technical Skills As a data analyst, your technical skills are one of the most critical aspects of your resume. Create a separate section where you list your proficiency in various tools and technologies. This might include:
Programming Languages: Python, R, SQL
Data Visualization Tools: Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib
Statistical Software: SAS, SPSS
Database Management Systems: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
Excel Skills: Advanced Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros
Professional Experience Your work experience should be listed in reverse chronological order, starting with your most recent position. Each entry should include the job title, company name, location, and dates of employment. Use bullet points to detail your responsibilities and achievements. Quantify your accomplishments when possible, as this provides a clearer picture of your impact. For example:
"Analyzed and interpreted data sets to improve marketing strategies, resulting in a 20% increase in customer acquisition."
"Developed automated dashboards in Tableau, reducing reporting time by 50%."
Projects If you're a data analyst, the projects you've worked on are a vital part of your resume. Include a section specifically dedicated to showcasing your most significant projects. For each project, provide a brief description, the tools and technologies used, and the outcomes. This could be a great place to demonstrate your proficiency with large data sets, machine learning models, or advanced statistical methods.
Education Include your educational background, starting with the highest degree obtained. List the degree name, institution, location, and graduation year. If you've taken any courses or earned certifications relevant to data analysis, include them here as well. Certifications like Google Data Analytics or IBM Data Analyst Professional Certificate can add significant value to your resume.
Certifications Certifications are a great way to showcase your dedication to the field and your commitment to professional growth. Include any relevant certifications you’ve earned in data analysis, programming, or related areas.
Additional Skills While not always necessary, an additional skills section can be useful if you have relevant expertise that doesn't fit neatly into the other categories. This could include soft skills like communication, teamwork, or project management, which are also important for data analysts.
Tips for Creating an Effective Data Analyst Resume
Use Industry-Specific Keywords: To ensure your data analyst resume sample is optimized for applicant tracking systems (ATS), incorporate relevant keywords from the job description. Keywords might include "data visualization," "statistical analysis," or "machine learning."
Be Concise: While it's important to provide enough detail, avoid being overly verbose. Keep your resume to one or two pages, focusing on the most relevant information.
Highlight Achievements: Rather than just listing responsibilities, focus on your achievements. Use metrics and results to demonstrate your impact.
Tailor Your Resume for Each Application: Customize your resume for each job application by highlighting the skills and experience most relevant to the specific position.
Conclusion
Crafting a data analyst resume that stands out requires careful attention to detail, clear communication of your skills and experience, and a focus on measurable achievements. By following the guidelines outlined in this blog and studying a well-structured data analyst resume sample, you can create a resume that captures the attention of hiring managers and helps you secure your desired role.

[sorry this was going to be a reply but it got too long lol] but my cover letter recipe is:
hi [company name] team,
i am writing to express my interest in the [x] position! [sentence/s introducing myself/talking about my background, can mention past jobs, college, volunteering, hobbies or anything relevant. my typical was my name is x i graduated from y in year with a degree in z]
here are some of my skills and experiences that would make me a great fit for this role [bullet point list of skills etc]
i believe my [your choice of descriptors/nouns, i like to use “experience” and “work ethic”, and “portfolio” bc designer but you can switch based on the job] would make me an excellent fit for [company]. thank you for taking the time to look over my resume[/application/other materials] and i hope to hear from you soon!
i have a master google doc with the letter formatted all nice and my contact info and [x] for fill in the blank spots and, most importantly, a long bullet point list of various skills and experiences from my resume/elaborating on my resume, and for each letter i make a copy and fill in the blanks and keep 4-5 of the ones most relevant to that job. you can find a lot of good professional sounding, industry relevant language and cover letter/intro sentence/skill description templates from googling and it does take a bit of time upfront but once you have your personalized template you can get a finished letter in 5-10 minutes!
i hate applications forever and ever
#sorry this is long i hope it’s helpful#i hate writing cover letters and making my little template definitely helped#was on that job application grind for. most of the year and will be again in a couple of months lol it is Rough out there#good luck and i’m sorry if this is annoying and not helpful 🫡

Profile Summary for Resume for Freshers: A Complete Guide with Examples

A profile summary for resume for freshers is a short yet impactful section that helps job seekers make a strong first impression. Since freshers have little to no work experience, a well-written profile summary can highlight their skills, strengths, and career aspirations, increasing their chances of landing their first job.
In this article, we’ll discuss the importance of a profile summary for resume for freshers, how to write one, and provide best examples for different industries.
________________________________________
What is a Profile Summary in a Resume?
A profile summary is a brief introduction at the top of a resume that showcases a candidate’s educational background, key skills, career goals, and relevant projects or internships.
For freshers, this section acts as a mini personal statement that tells recruiters why they should hire them. It’s an essential part of a resume because recruiters often scan resumes within seconds, and a strong profile summary can grab their attention quickly.
________________________________________
Why is a Profile Summary Important for Freshers?
Many freshers struggle to get noticed because they lack professional experience. However, a well-written profile summary for resume for freshers can:
✅ Highlight key strengths despite a lack of experience
✅ Improve visibility in applicant tracking systems (ATS)
✅ Showcase skills and relevant training
✅ Make the resume more engaging to recruiters
Since freshers rely on their education, skills, internships, and projects, a profile summary helps create a powerful first impression.
________________________________________
How to Write a Profile Summary for Resume for Freshers?
Follow these simple steps to create a winning profile summary:
1. Start with Your Educational Background
Since freshers don’t have much work experience, mention your highest qualification and university. If you have a strong academic record, include that as well.
🔹 Example:
"Recent B.Tech Computer Science graduate from XYZ University with a keen interest in software development and artificial intelligence."
2. Highlight Your Key Skills
Mention your most relevant skills based on the job role. These can be technical skills, soft skills, or industry-specific knowledge.
🔹 Example:
"Proficient in Python, Java, and SQL, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills."
3. Mention Internships, Projects, or Certifications
If you have completed internships, academic projects, freelancing work, or online certifications, highlight them to demonstrate hands-on experience.
🔹 Example:
"Completed an internship at ABC Technologies, where I contributed to a machine learning model for customer analytics."
4. Add Soft Skills
Employers look for candidates who are not just technically skilled but also have strong communication, teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
🔹 Example:
"Strong communication and teamwork skills with a passion for continuous learning and professional growth."
5. Keep It Short and Impactful
A profile summary should be around 2-4 sentences and focus only on the most important details.
________________________________________
Best Profile Summary Examples for Resume for Freshers
1. IT & Software Engineer Fresher
"Motivated and detail-oriented Computer Science graduate with strong programming skills in Python, Java, and SQL. Completed multiple academic projects on machine learning and web development. Passionate about coding, problem-solving, and working in a collaborative tech environment."
2. Digital Marketing Fresher
"Creative and results-driven Marketing graduate with expertise in social media marketing, content creation, and SEO. Completed an internship at XYZ Digital Agency, where I developed content strategies that improved website traffic. Eager to apply digital marketing skills to drive brand growth."
3. Finance & Accounting Fresher
"Detail-oriented B.Com graduate with a solid foundation in financial analysis, taxation, and accounting principles. Proficient in Tally, MS Excel, and QuickBooks. Completed an internship at ABC Financial Services, assisting in auditing and bookkeeping tasks."
4. Mechanical Engineer Fresher

✔ Be concise – Keep it short and direct (around 3-4 sentences).
✔ Showcase relevant skills – Focus on technical and soft skills that match the job role.

❌ Adding irrelevant information – Focus only on job-relevant skills, education, and experiences.
