I'd say her stand's ability is rather simple, but she is clever and manipulative. She knows how to weaponize basic concepts lol.

Wip Wednesday Thursday. Family portrait

Celia and her protege/little brother playing nice cop scary cop on some poor sod. He doesn't have a stand but he does have hell of an overprotective older sister & he's never needed anything more.

Opposite colour pallets go brrrrrrr.

The main humor is how Celia & her squad talk about the baby of the group who's a damn brat but they have to protect him, and how they don't want him involved in stuff... then he turns up and he's not sweet like honey he's sweet like artificial flavoring & the only reason you would think he's harmless is because even a wolf would look weak next to a bear.

Tldr of their relationship is they are half siblings, he's 6 years younger than her and the barstard son of someone powerful. When he's 6 n she's 12 their mother dies and he is taken by his father- who doesn't even know Celia exists. He's treated like shit by the man's wife and he people around him, so she sends him money so he can buy the cloths and textbooks he needs, getting that money from doing odd jobs for the mafia, they see eachother raely but write to each other, eventually when he's 14 he's put as part of the latest group of fresh recruits, but no-one wants him cause they see him as a spoilt brat or a lowly barstard, except Celia.

Unfortunately she's getting noticed and an up and coming pink haired prick decides he needs dirt on her to keep her under control, which ends up being the existence and safety of her dear half brother.

She raised him the best she could, there mother was sick, but only after diavollos death does she let herself call him her brother. While she's his leader he is her protege and the baby of the group, one of two that she's moulding into leaders themselves. She would do fucking anything for him and that's why her third colour is dark red- her love for him has caused the oceans of blood that stains her to her soul.

okay i have a whole ass google doc coming together with all of their general symbolism n shit so this is just where its relevant to this piece

1- inverse colour pallets. white/black, Gold/silver, orange/blue.

2- the rays. Celias gold turns into red as it gets futher form her- and closer to her brother. he golden sucess is stained bc of him his ice/masks thaws when he gets closer to her. her rays are on top of his

3- background. purple is combination of their main colours, but its darker, showing Celia is the main person here, also see how her rays blend better into teh background. also purple= rishces n royalty

4- she is standing behind him [supporting him] but the hand on teh sholder shows she in control.

5- seat- hes sitting on a seat in her colours, shes the one whos giving him the platform to take the lead on.

6- distance- they are fairly far appart, Celia reaching forwards but otherwise standing behind him

7- blank space- the balance is off and it feels like someone should be standing on the left- and that person is their mother, absent but in a way that haunts the relationship- she defines them, throwing them off balance, by her leaving.

it's extremely funny to me that people are shitting on JoJo Siwa's rebrand by, among other things, comparing it unfavorably to Miley Cyrus' Bangerz era. I've heard several people give the take that Bangerz Miley was legitimately shocking and effective, while Karma feels like a weak attempt to do something similar and like... I can't help but think that a full decade of distance has completely distorted people's memory of the public reaction to Bangerz. Like I distinctly remember EVERYONE going in on Miley for that era. Literally all parties from all sides of american culture came together for a brief period of time in 2013 to dunk on her for being a white girl with no ass trying to twerk. She was cringe, she was trying too hard, she was too raunchy, she was appropriating black culture, she was using black women as props, the music sounded like shit. I cannot remember anyone in 2013 saying a single good thing about the Bangerz era so it makes absolutely no sense to me that people are acting like JoJo getting relentlessly shitted on, albeit for slightly different reasons, is a sign that her rebrand has failed and her career is over when Miley fully bounced back from that criticism and is now a goddamn grammy winner. What makes you think that JoJo's career arc will be any different? Like yes she's attracting a different kind of negative attention than Miley did but it's still the same principle, it's still just doing some crazy shit with the mindset of "all publicity is good publicity". You're still giving her earned media, you are literally getting played like a fiddle by this woman and giving her exactly what she wants. Oml in a decade's time JoJo will be putting out music people actually like and everyone will pretend like Karma was a genius career move and none of this ever happened because the cultural memory is ipad baby levels of abyssmal
