Dreams
Today, I dreamt of my dog peeing near me. Almost or did get splashed of his urine on my foot. As soon as I woke up, I searched its meaning and it says this,
“To dream that someone or an animal like a dog peeing on you, indicates that you are feeling the emotional burden of others. They are dumping their unwanted waste feelings on you”
What a coincidence! Because before I went to sleep, my friend called me to rant about his dilemma. Goosebumps!

When God wanted you to journey...
When God wanted you to journey…
Narinig ko yung line na yan kanina sa Feast. We were tackling about the story of Joseph the Dreamer and how he forgave his brothers. Last 2016, I was badly hurt by the…

If this has been a test, I cannot see the reason. But maybe knowing I don’t know is part of getting through.

OVERCOMING TEMPTATION
One needs to draw a clear distinction between test and temptation. Job in the Old Testament is perhaps a very appropriate circumstance that can be used to differentiate what test means as distinct from temptation. In the Book of Job 1: 6-22 the bible made it clear that HE (God)knew Job as a perfect man who would never abandon HIM, the God of all creation. The basis for…

You know better than I
I thought I did what's right
I thought I had the answers
I thought I chose the surest road
But that road brought me here
So I put up a fight
And told you how to help me
Now just when I have given up
The truth is coming clear
You know better than I
You know the way
I've let go the need to know why
For You know better than I
If this has been a test
I cannot see the reason
But maybe knowing I don't know
Is part of getting through
I try to do what's best
And faith has made it easy
To see the best thing I can do
Is put my trust in You
For You know better than I
You know the way
I've let go the need to know why
For You know better than I
I saw one cloud and thought it was a sky
I saw a bird and thought that I could follow
But it was You who taught that bird to fly
If I let You reach me will You teach me
For You know better than I
You know the way
I've let go the need to know why
I'll take what answers You supply
You know better than I.

You Know Better
I’m employed to a firm for almost two months now, and last night I’ve talked and whining to a great friend about work. I don’t know if I’ve reached the burnt out level. I don’t know. Or maybe I was just tired and things came out of hand.
Then this morning, I read today’s devotion article of Bread of Life. The song reminded me and rebuked me. I want to share the song (which is on repeat now),…

Joseph Recognized by His Brothers (1863 painting
by Léon Pierre Urbain Bourgeois)
December 8, 2013 - Joseph the Dreamer
Gen. 37:23-28; 45:3-15
God spoke to the boy Joseph through dreams, but he boasted about his future greatness and turned his brothers against him. He failed to accept God’s plans for him with humility and ended up being sold into slavery by them. Years later a more mature Joseph used his gift of interpreting dreams to win freedom for himself.
God gives all of us gifts, but how we use them determines whether they help us to grow spiritually or just pump up our egos. Jesus cautioned us about how to react to God’s generosity; he tells us that “From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required.” (Luke 12:48)
When Joseph is reunited with his brothers, he is in a position of power and could exact retribution from his brothers, but he humbly accepts that his suffering has been used by God for good: "But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I God? You planned something bad for me, but God produced something good from it, in order to save the lives of many people, just as he’s doing today.” (Genesis 50:19-20)
T.S. Eliot wrote that “the only wisdom we can hope to acquire is the wisdom of humility.” This Advent, let us humble ourselves before the baby in the manger, born in the lowest of circumstances to show us what a life of service to others means.
