She was absolutely flirting with you the whole time you were friends

And you were oblivious

Even used pet names with you

You just thought that's how she was with everyone

She wasn't going to be the one who asks you out either

She'd want the satisfaction of saying yes to you

So she was basically trying to see if you had any interest in her at all

And when she seen you did?

She started flirting even more

Just trying to make it obvious

Everyone thought you were already dating

You were confused

But after knowing that you did realized you liked Zero Two

You made her a small little flower headband

To put around her horns

Basically in replace of her normal one

You asked her out and gave it to her

She laughed and told you it was about time

She happily lowered her head to let you put the headband on her

And when she lifted her head?

She gave you a kiss and grinned

Laughed at your expression

You were blushing

But you were happy

The both of you were

She wasn't the one to confess first

While she may have had feelings for you?

She wasn't going to risk your friendship

Just in case you wouldn't feel the same

Or thought less of her somehow

She would always give you little gifts

Just to make you feel special while you guys were friends

And mainly just to show affection

Overall she seemed really happy

She was confident and took you on a date right then and there

To talk about how your relationship was going to go

Keeping it a secret or not and talking about many other things

Needless to say at the end of the day you were both happy

She keeps trying to build up the courage to ask you out

Despite her bubbly and happy attitude

It's obvious something is up

She's not good at hiding her feelings

She seems anxious and sometimes on the verge of tears

She's contantly writing down ideas in a notebook

On how to ask you out

And all the possibilities that come with it

One day you two were talking

And she was going to ask you out

She had made a cute little hair clip for you

Though when she tried to ask you out?

She started crying

Because she was worried you'd turn her down

And that she'd ruin your friendship

You comfort her for a while

Then ask her what's wrong

When she's finally able to speak?

She pulls out the little hair clip

And tells you she likes you

You of course accept

She seemed surprised though really happy at the same time

You lower your head for her

And she puts the hair clip in your hair

And you embrace eachother in a hug

And happily go on about your day together

34. sick of it

Oikawa drums his fingers on the side of the car as he hums along to the melody to the song playing on the radio, his elbow propped up on the sill of the rolled down window while he drives with his other hand. You and Iwa sit in the back seat with towels placed underneath your legs, quietly enjoying the night air. Wind whips around you and tousles your hair to and fro. You don’t mind that much given how nice the breeze feels compared to how sweaty and overheated you felt from running around for two solid hours in attempts to evade paint bombs.

“Okayyy,” The man slows his car as he pulls up to your apartment building, turning down the radio once he’s come to a complete stop and turning to look at you. “Miss L/n, your stop,” He waves his arm with a flourish while you shimmy off the seatbelt and out of the car.

You pause as you step out, blinking in confusion when you stare at the sidewalk in front of your building. Messy trash bags and crinkled boxes are thrown haphazardly outside the doors along with stray objects that look oddly too familiar to you, littering a good majority of the walking room. Your brows furrow as you close the car door and walk towards the bags and boxes, crouching down to examine a loose shirt that was plastered on the ground. A cute little frog print decorates the chest of the shirt and you frown as you recognize the piece of clothing.

It’s your shirt.

Your items that are scattered in front of your apartment and your things that are being walked all over and ignored by students too busy with their own lives to care about what they assume is trash.

Your stomach falls to your feet at the realization, a twisting feeling of dread claws its way through your insides. You crumple the shirt in your hands and stand up, making your way inside. Already, your brain jumped to the worst-case scenarios, that you had been kicked out and formally expelled from the university for some reason or another, a multitude of fantastical reasons for why your shit was littering everything filling your head. You just hope that your roommates have an explanation and will actually talk to you.

The elevator takes its sweet time carrying you up the several floors to your own, dinging with every floor it passes before coming to a shuddering stop and slowly opening the doors. You step out and make a straight line towards the apartment door, inserting your key and jiggling it in the lock. Unfortunately, you don’t even get as far as inserting it since the key (the one you made sure was your own apartment key lest you be locked out once again) doesn’t even fit. The twisting in your guts gets worse.

“Hello?” You bang the side of your fist against the door urgently, your confusion turning to panic the longer you stand out in the hallway trying desperately to fit a mismatched key to an unwilling lock. “Hello?!” You try again, loud thuds that make your hand sting resounding on the solid wood door.

Still, no answer.

“LET ME IN!” You get fed up with the key and instead bang on the door with both hands, being terribly loud despite how late it is. A neighbor of yours sticks their head out of their door with a quizzical look, watching silently as you continue to demand to be let in with increasing frustration in your voice. You’re so focused on getting into your apartment after being seemingly locked out for the second time that you don’t notice Oikawa and Iwaizumi follow you up to your apartment, stray clothes and shoes in Oikawa’s arms and confusion etched into both of their faces.

Finally, finally, the door opens. You stumble forward a step or two at the sudden lurching of the door and blink as Kaori greets you, an icy glare burning into your skin and an accusatory sneer distorting her features. “Oh, it’s you,” Her tone is cold as she addresses you, not even attempting to sweeten her words or slap on a fake smile.

“Kaori, why is my stuff all thrown out front?” You ask bluntly, ignoring whatever weirdness is going on with her to get to the point. You were frustrated and too tired from the day and your classes to put up with her bullshit or amuse her. She scoffs at your boldness, crossing her arms over her chest and squaring you up in the doorway of the apartment.

“Tenants who aren’t residents in the building can’t live here, obviously. And since you no longer live here, your ‘stuff’ doesn’t belong in this apartment,” She stares at you as she answers, her glare turning to a look of satisfaction as your face falls in shock.

“What do you mean I ‘no longer live here’? I’m still on the lease,” You argue.

“No, you’re not,” Her sneer morphs into a proud grin and she takes a step forward. “See, after you lied to Kuni and continued to go on your fucking rampage about how I supposedly slept with Yuji, I took you off the lease. You broke the rules of the house, so you can’t stay as a roommate anymore,” She explains with a proud look, pushing you away from the doorway with every step forward, stepping too close to your personal space.

You grit your teeth, your nostrils flaring as you take deep breaths to keep yourself calm. Dread and worry no longer eat at you, instead, your entire body feels hot with frustration and anger. “Are you kidding me? You kicked me out?”

“That’s what you get for being a lying whore–” thwack!

You breath heavily as you stare at Kaori, her cheek coloring bright red from where you slapped her, a handprint evident on her skin. “I didn’t fucking lie! You were the one who used Kunimi to get him to side with you! You were the one who made up dumb rules and then disregarded them yourself because you didn’t really give a shit about drama, you wanted to control us! And you were the one who accused me of sleeping around when you’ve been sleeping with both Kunimi and Terushima! I didn’t do that! I’m not the one who’s so fucking insecure that I need other people to boss around to make myself feel better!” As you rant, your voice gets higher and higher, your hands balling into fists. Your frustrations finally reach their tipping point, and you can barely contain yourself from screaming at her, more of your neighbors poking their heads out to check on the commotion.

Kaori was still staring at the ground after you slapped her, not turning her head back until you finished speaking, looking up at her with her hand cupping her cheek.

And she had the audacity to laugh.

“God! You dumb bitch!” She shoves you harshly until you stumble back, “You are so fucking annoying, you know that? Acting all innocent and sweet and like you gave a shit, but really you just wanted attention from guys! I know bitches like you, I know what you want! You’re just acting like a victim because you can’t admit that the only reason you talk to anyone in this goddamn school is to sleep with them! You drag me to parties and lie to me and Kuni and Yuji, and then you fucking drag your boytoys in with you and accuse me of being the bad guy?” Kaori barely gives you a second to respond before she lifts her hand to slap you in return, her hand poised above her head.

Her hand doesn’t get much farther before Iwaizumi steps in front of you, blocking Kaori’s view of you and grabbing her wrist. “You’re one to talk about being fake,” He spits.

“Hah, can’t even face me yourself? Did you get your bodyguards to fight? Just admit you’re a dumb slut–”

“Shut up,” Oikawa snaps, his arms moving around your shoulders as he maneuvers you farther away from Kaori, less for your protection but for hers. You looked nearly feral and ready to kill, like a wild animal that spotted its prey. Your eyes never leave the woman as you glare at her, fighting against Oikawa’s grip to get close to her, to shut her up.

You were so sick of it. You were so sick of all the unnecessary problems she kept dragging into your life because she couldn’t communicate normally like any other human being and instead projected onto you. You were sick of giving her and your other so-called roommates the benefit of the doubt only to see your kindness blow up in your face. You were sick of trying so hard to please everyone that you got wrapped up with an insufferable roommate.

“Y/n, let’s go,” Oikawa turns you away from the girl and urges you down the hallway, his arms wrapped around you still. Iwaizumi waits until there’s a good distance between you and Kaori before letting her go and following after the two of you, his jaw hard set and his entire body on edge. Just in case the woman decided to continue the little fight you got into besides yelling obscenities and calling you a coward for running away (which wasn’t true considering you were quite literally being pulled by Oikawa).

The two men help you into the elevator and to the car, though none of you knew where you were planning to go. You press your lips together and remain silent, hugging your legs close to your torso once you slide into the seat.

Tears well up in your ears. You sniffle and rapidly blink to keep them from falling but it doesn’t do much. You felt pathetic. Still angry, but pitiful as well.

“Y/n, what she said isn’t true,”

“I know that…” You rest your chin on your knee and stare out the window as Oikawa drives down random streets, looking at you through the rearview mirror. “I just… god, I’m so dumb… I should’ve seen that she was going to lie to me or something from the start,” Your voice wobbles as you try to speak, taking breaths through your nose to keep from devolving entirely.

“You couldn’t have known she would do that for sure, though..” Iwaizumi speaks up this time, for the first time since the three of you piled into the car and drove off ten minutes ago. You barely turn your head to look at him, frowning. He’s not wrong, but you’re sure you could’ve known if you hadn’t been so clouded by your excitement to be attending university.

It was your dream school, getting your dream degree, all so you could work your dream job one day.

You tuck some loose strands of hair behind your ear and look out the window again, the silence making your heart clench and crumble. “You dont…” You pause to keep your composure, “You don’t think I’m friends with you guys just to sleep with you, right?” Your question hangs in the air for a moment, the sound of the road filling the air.

“No.” Oikawa speaks firmly, his grip on the steering wheel tight. He looks at you through the mirror one more time. “Don’t you dare think that we think you’re using us… and don’t think we’re using you either,” He slows the car as he pulls into a random destination, falling silent so he can focus on parking correctly.

Iwaizumi clears his throat and straightens himself. “For once, I agree with him.. What your roommate –that girl– said was untrue, and her words were nothing but her projecting onto you..” His eyes meets yours for a second and his expression softens. “We care about you because we’re your friends, not because we want to sleep with you,” He assures one last time before falling silent. You sniffle and wipe your hands over your eyes, shaking away the urge to cry as best you can.

“You’re right.. I’m sorry,”

“Don’t apologize,”

You hum in response to Oikawa’s words and lean your head back on the seat, heaving a heavy sigh. Though you still feel objectively terrible, and you’re still relatively unsure about quite a bit of your situation, you do know one thing. You’re over being around Kaori, you’re getting as far from her as possible, and you are putting all of this shit behind you.

Before, she was Kana. A farmer's daughter and a simple citizen before the nations were found.

Even before that, she was Ritsu. A noble lady who is contractually obligated to marry a stranger of equal or higher standing.

Before she became Ritsu, she was Makoto—a man sent to the frontlines to fight in a rebellion.

And before Makoto were many more. Names were buried, appearances have been altered, and genders were swapped so many times she has forgotten how her first life went.

And now, she was reborn once more. This time, as [Y/N].

And now, the other was born as a fearsome man.

"I promise I'll find you in our next life, [redacted]..."

The female woke up, startled. Tears were falling down her eyes as she tried to remember the features of the man in her dreams—but to no avail. All she knew was the taste of ash and the suffocating smoke in the air and the bittersweet feeling remaining in her heart whenever she remembers the words spoken by the other person.

[Y/N] remembered crying for a long time. Why, she didn't know. But deep inside her soul wept for what was lost.

The woman continued on with her daily life, the incident forgotten till she dreamt of another.

"Ah... I was far too late—I'm sorry Ritsu—" He held the hands of the woman wearing what seems to be the most expensive clothing there is. She was clad in clothes made of silk and wool, embroidered with golden thread, and wore jewelry befitting a woman of her stature.

Ritsu coughed and red stained her lovely garments. The man, with his features as hazy as ever, only held the pretty woman's hands tighter.

"I—,"

Again, [Y/N] woke up feeling sad and she started crying once more.

And again, and again, and again.

It went on with no specific pattern. Sometimes she dreamt of something once a week. The others, days in between, and rarely, a month after the last.

She wouldn't know the reason why she kept on dreaming about a man and a woman (sometimes both are women or both are men). But the ending is the same. She would feel the deep, unrelenting sadness, pain, and hopelessness of both of them—it was a never-ending negativity that would never go away even when she wakes up.

Blood stained the wooden floorboards.

The sharp scent of iron lingered in the air. A lone female laid in the middle of the room, her clothes stained with red. Her eyes glistened as she held back her tears because now, she remembers.

She remembers them. How can she not? Her last dream was of what he looks like, albeit there are no prominent features like a face. Only his general stature and hair color.

The door suddenly opened with a loud bang. A tall, white-haired man entered the room in a panic. His crimson orbs immediately glanced at the female that is bleeding out. The loud noise caught the dying woman's attention.

Her orbs clashed with his—[E/C] to shimmering red.

'Ah,' The female thought. 'So it was I, in this life, who will leave you behind,'

The muscular man ignored the others—who were wearing the purple armor of the Raiden Shogun's army—and instead went straight ahead to where the female laid.

He cradled her head and held her with care. Red was now the prominent hue of her outfit. What was once light red and grey became maroon, and Itto, who was beside the female already recognizes the scent of death lingering behind.

"I..." She coughed blood, "We m-meet again..,"

"Shit, Hanako—Ritsu, Kaori, whatever—It's you, right?" The male applied pressure to her abdomen. "Damn it—I didn't even know your name in this life yet—"

She laughed weakly and placed her hand atop of his, "Maa, y-your name, p-please,"

"It's Arataki Itto now—don't close your fucking eyes!"

Her vision blurred. She wheezed in pain and she slowly loses grip on reality. The female can vaguely hear anything now, and whatever he shouted must have been something when another person enters.

"S...wake!"

'What a pretty name. It fits him,' She squeezed his hands weakly, 'I'm sorry... I'm leaving you again...'

And the cycle begins once more after death has claimed the other half.

"If you could prevent the other from dying, then life deems you worthy to be together. If not—then death is a given,"

I was nervous. “Hey, Keiji how do I look?” My boyfriend looked at me with a small smile.

“Perfect. Now come down love. We're just going to meet my friends.” He replied softly.

“But what if they don’t like me?” I mumbled softly. Akaashi chuckled.

“(y/n) look at me. You’ve already met most of them.” He did have a point.

“Alright. I’m ready, let's go.” I replied. We intertwined our hands as we walked out the door. The cool breeze rushed to great us. We walked quietly to the car.

“Hey (y/n)?” I hummed. “In your dreams do you ever think of us like. You know.” A light blush forming on Keiji’s face. Cute I thought.

“Think of us like what Keiji?” I asked. Now a full visible blush on his face. Can this man get any cuter than he already is? “Think of us getting married and having kids?” He mumbled. I looked at my boyfriend of 6 years. I blush now forming on my cheeks. How was I supposed to answer this question? I really wanted to scream YES. But If I said yes he could think I’m creepy. If I said no then he may think I don’t love him or I don’t want to settle down with him. “Y-you don’t have to answer the question if you don’t want” He quickly added. “Yes.” My boyfriend looked at me confused. I continued. “ I do dream of us getting married and having kids” I mumbled. He sighed softly and continued to drive.

Time Skip

“Just relax babe and if you need something or want to go home come find me.” I chuckled softly. “Keiji I’ll be fine. I’m a big girl. Now go have fun.” I chuckled. Keiji chuckled as he intertwined his hand with mine as we walked into the club.

When we walked into the club I immediately saw Yukie and Koari by a corner of the bar. There was a table for 3 in the corner. ( do bars have tables? Idk never been to one. If there isn’t one then plz pretend)Keiji noticed them too and gave a soft nod. I walked up to them as Keiji walked up to his former teammates.

“Yo (y/n), hhhow arrrre youuu?”. Yukie slurred.

“Hey Koari, I’m good. How many bottles have you had?” I asked, chuckling.

“That’s her first,” Koari answered.

“How have you two been?” I asked.

“We’re doing pretty good.”

“Have you done the “thing” yet?” I asked. Koari blushed.

“I have no idea what you're talking about,” She replied. (Also for this story the “thing” isn’t sex . I’m srry to disappoint you all but it’s not sex. And yes for this story Koari and Yukie are dating because why not. I don’t ship them but I thought it would fit the story).

“Whatsss the “thing”?” Yukie asked.

“Something,” Koari answered. “Say (y/n)-san did Akaashi do the “thing”to you?” I flushed.

“N-no why? I m-mean it might happen-n soon. Idk” I replied. As I started to nervously play with my hands/fingers. Koari laughed. At my response.

“Hmm I guess Akaashi would have done it by now conjuring the fact you’ve been dating since college. Anyway want a drink, I’m going to get one?”.

“Sure, why not. Can you get (f/d)”/”No thanks, I don’t drink” I replied ( I wanted to add a different thing for people who don’t drink because not everyone does)

Koari ordered and came back with two (f/d)s. “ Thanks”. I said as I got my drink from her. I took a sip. “So-”

“HEY HEY HEY LOOK WHO’S HERE”. A man-child yelled. He had black and white hair that was spikey( I have no idea how to explain Bokuto’s hair help me and don’t hate me plz). I face palmed. I was going to continue my sentence when I heard a familiar chuckle. I looked to my left as I found to my shock the Akaashi Keiji chuckling in public. I smiled. Guess he was starting to show his emotion a little bit freely in public. I turned around to

face Koari and Yukie.

“Who’s that?” I asked.

Koari answered “That’s Bokuto Koutarou. He was the ace for our team in Akaashi’s second year.“

“Him and Akaashiiii were reallyy close too. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were dating back then” Yukie added on. I just nodded. Something started to bother me. A tiny voice just a what if. What if they did date back then? What if Keiji still loves Bokuto-san. What if I’m not good enough for him?

“Hey (y/n), everything ok?” Koari asked worriedly. I nodded.

“I’m fine.” I replied. I chugged down my drink. I wanted to have fun today and I told Keiji I didn’t need him to worry about me. I decided to drink away my worries. ( I’m sorry if you don’t drink alcohol I’m going to keep this part. (f/d) normally means favorite drink. I have no idea what a bar sells other than they have alcohol so choose something else I guess).“Hey Yukie, want to see who can drink the most?”. There was no way I was going to win but it would be fine.

“OI I’m not going to be the only one that isn’t sober and has to keep an eye on you guys.” Koari replied.

“Then join us.” Yukie and I replied in sync.

“But then who will keep an eye on the guys and you two?”. She replied.

“The sky,” Yukie replied. Her lover face pamed.

“Soo are you going to join us or not? I mean we could only drink 3 cups and call it quits.” I said, smirking. Yukie joined me “ Orr we could drink 3 bottles and call it quits.” Koari put her hands up. Surdering.

“Fine. Just one cup tho.” She replied. We all laughed.

“I’ll go get it (f/d).” Yukie called.

Mini time skip

We all got a cup and poured a (f/d) in it.

“Go”

We all started chugging out drinks. Koari stopped after 8 cups. I went to 12 . Which means Yukie won. We ended up finishing the 3 bottles we got. I volunteered to go get some more. It was probably the most fun I’ve had since my last date with Keiji.

He had been busy for the past two to three months. He come home late and went to work early. He’s been acting strangely too. It wasn’t anything big but it did worry me at times. I shook my head. Think positive.

I was walking through the crowd when I saw Keiji with ex-teammates talking and having fun. Something that stuck out to me was Bokuto had his hands on his thighs. It’s fine. Keiji said Bokuto could be really touchy and doesn't have the concept of person space. I continued on my way to the bar. I bumped into someone. I fell to the ground. Baka watch where you're going. I got up and brushed my dress. I got and bowed. “Gomen (sorry).” I replied. The guy who bumped into was a good looking man around 2 years older than me. Keiji was definitely better. I must have won the boyfriend lottery. So I thought.

”tch watch where you're going.” He replied. He looked me up and down. I rubbed my arm nervously. “Say how about we get a drink you and me? I mean you did bump into me.”

“No thanks I have somewhere to go.” I replied briskly and walked away. He grabbed my arm. “I don’t take a no for an answer.” He replied. I tugged my hand out of his grasp. “Leave me alone.” I replied. I was a bit surprised that he let me go easily. Then I saw him talk to someone familiar. Then the guy walked up to me. I quickly recognized him.

“(f/n)?” I asked.

“Yo, (y/n). What are you doing here?” he asked.

“I’m here with my boyfriend and his friends.” I replied “What about you?” I asked.

“Me and my friends come here often. Also sorry about my friend he’s um a little I guess edgy might be the word.” We laughed. My phone lit up. There was a text from Yukie.

Where are you??

I sighted. “Hey (f/n) I gtg I told my friends I’d grab drinks and be back.” He nodded. I was about to walk away.

“Hey (f/y) do you maybe want to meet up later? L-like a date or something?”. (f/n) was kind and sweet but he wasn’t Akaashi. And Akaashi is the only man I want to be with. “Sorry (f/n) I have a boyfriend, we could still meet up tho.”I offered.

“Yeah that seems nice” He replied. “ You might also want to go get those drinks”.I nodded and walked to the bar. I felt bad for (f/n) but I didn’t love him. I ordered and paid for 3 more (f/d).

I was walking back when I saw something I didn’t want to see. After everything. There was my boyfriend of 6 years kissing his best friend and his ex-teammate Bokuto Koutarou. I dropped the drinks by accident. I just wanted to get out of there and drink more with Yukie and Koari. Talk to Keiji about it tomorrow. The drink hit the ground with a loud bang.

The two broke the kiss. Akaashi eyes found mine. The first thing his eyes were the first part of him so show any emotion. First fear then worry. He was about to call my name and reached for my hand. I ran out of the club. I’ll come and clean the mess later.

I ran. I didn’t know where I was going, I just let my feet carry me. When I stopped running after some time. I took out my phone and messaged Yukie an Kaori about what happened. Then I turned my phone off. I just wanted to be alone now. I knew the beach. It’s where Keiji and I went during the summer. I whipped my eyes. It didn’t help. The tears come on after another.

I felt numb. Wasn’t I enough? Did he not love me? Did I do something wrong? Is it how I look? How I eat? The way I sleep? Do I take up to much of the blanket? What is it? What did I do wrong? I laid on the sand. The only I could hear was the waves and crickets.”It’s starry night isn’t it?Just look at the stars, they are always there at night if you look for them. No matter if anyone can see them or not there. And when you can see them there they are shiny , bright and beautiful.” That’s what my dad would have said. I just looked up at them. I’ll pack my stuff and stay with my parents tomorrow. Till I can get an apartment in Tokyo.

I heard footsteps. I turned to see my boyfriend. Tears streaming down his pretty face. He was breathing heavily. He must have chased after me when I ran out. “(y/n) I-” I cut him off.

“Shouldn't you be at the party with him, with your friends?” I asked. He sat down and tried to hug me. I slapped his hand away. He looked like a kicked puppy. I hated it. I didn’t want to hurt him. Be strong. I told myself to be strong.

“(y/n) please let me explain.” I looked at him, waiting. “It was an accident. This guy shoved me on to him. I swear I didn’t mean to kiss him and you come right after. Y-you saw us kiss. I got scared. Please don’t leave-” I interrupted him. I felt like an idiot. I kissed him. It was a nice gentle kiss. It ended too soon for my liking. Why do we need air?

I looked him in the eye “I’m sorry I shouldn’t have assumed you cheated. I love you” I whispered. He smiled and hugged me.” Come one let’s go back everyone going to be worried. Plus I need to clean up the mess and I need to apologize so Bokuto-san.” I chuckled. I allied on his chest. “5 minutes that’s it” I replied. He smirked.

“sure.”

“That can wait.” Keiji replied.We sat there in silence.After ten or more minutes. We heard more footsteps. I turned around to see the rest of keiji’s ex-teammates. “(Y/N)-SANNN DON’t BREAK UP WITH AGGKAAASHI HE LOVES YOU!” Bokuto-san screamed.I chuckled.

“Don’t worry, Bokuto-san we’re not breaking up, Keiji explained everything. Also I’m sorry I shouldn’t have assumed you two were together.” I replied.

“That’s ok (y/n)-san. Know can we get more drinks??” Bokuto-san asked. Everyone laughed.

“You guys go ahead, we'll join you in a minute” Keiji called.

Mini time skip

Keiji got up. “Come (y/n) it’s been 20 minutes since we said we’d come.” He replied. I chuckled. He offered me his hand and I took it. I brushed the sand of my dress. “One last thing before we go.” He got down on one knee and took out a box from his pocket.

“(Y/n) we’ve been dating for 6 years. You mean everything to me. You’ve been through the ups and downs in my life. So will you be willing to spend the rest of your life with me? Will you marry me (y/f) (l/n)?”

Extra:

“Keiji did the “thing” FINALLY.” Keep ur head down Koari we can’t see.

“Did she say yes?”. “Yes Bokuto she said yes.” “Akaashi’s swinging her around. And know their kissing.” “move Kohna I want to see”. “Outch.”

Yo how is everyone? I know I haven’t been able to update a lot and I’m sorry about that. I normally don’t write stuff because the don’t normally do well. I had this idea and wanted to put it in paper. Anyway I hope you enjoyed it if you read this far 😂. I didn’t have a certain age I wanted the characters to be but they could be sometime time from second year of collage to young adult if anyone wanted to know. Anyway have a great day/night.

The sun shines brightly through the windows of your apartment, disturbing you from your slumber. You covered your head with a pillow, blocking out the light. As you were getting comfy and falling back to sleep, your doorbell rang, making you groan. You didn’t want to get out of bed as your body felt like it has been trampled. Your muscles were sore and your head was pounding.

Standing up still in your dress from last night, you suddenly felt dizzy, making you sit back down on your bed. You hated being drunk. The things you did from last night were all such a blur memory. It sometimes gets you scared. You could only recall a few events. Scanning your room, it seems normal - just like how you left it yesterday afternoon. You can’t help but feel paranoid. Whenever you were drunk, you often do crazy things that was so not you. The last time you got drunk, you puked on Osamu’s t-shirt as he was trying to get you home. The last time you got drunk, you found your phone in the microwave with melted cheese on top. You can’t even remember putting it in there. You ended up buying a new one and got a lecture from Osamu for you to stop drinking and how you wasted quality cheese and for breaking your phone, while Atsumu just laughed his ass off at the story.

All in all, the twins were always there whenever you go out drinking because if you weren’t accompanied, you probably would have already died in a ditch somewhere.

You squeal as you heard another ring of the doorbell. With a sigh, you stood up carefully and made your way towards the door. Opening it, you saw Kaori with a bright expression on her face, which was the opposite of you really because you looked like you just came out from hell.

“Kaori-chan, what brings you here?”

“Good morning love! I brought food to help you with your hangover. May I come in?”

“S-sure”

Stepping aside, you let Kaori enter your apartment. You do remember attending Kaori’s birthday party. You do remember having dinner and talked to her friends but it ends there. You pretty much don’t remember what happened after that.

“H-how did you know I have a hangover?”

“Sweetie, I think you’re the only person I know who could empty a whole bottle of wine alone.” Your eyes widened at this.

“What?! A w-whole bottle?!”

Kaori’s eyes widened, shocked at your reaction before letting out a chuckle. “You heard me. Do you not remember last night?” You can’t help but feel baffled. Sitting down, you intensely stared at the table thinking long and hard. This sends another pang in your head, making you hiss.

“Hangovers are real fckers. My head hurts so bad.”

You say as you hold your head, massaging it. Kaori then hands you in some medicine and water. You thanked her and drank it, hoping it would cure the pain as soon as possible. You desperately want to remember what happened last night but you’re afraid to ask.

“Did something happen when you got home last night? You’ve got some pretty interesting marks on your neck, (Y/n)-chan.”

Kaori says with a smirk as she points her chopsticks to your neck. You automatically held your neck, confused to what she meant.

“What are you talking about?”

“Take a look at the mirror love.”

Anxious, you quickly went to the sink of your bathroom and there it was. Multiple hickeys were scattered on your smooth neck. A look of horror morphed on your face. You rubbed your eyes again, in attempts and hoping that you were just seeing things but it was still there. Red marks were scattered on your neck and collarbone. Your heart started to raise in your chest. You tightened your grip on the bathroom sink, thinking intensely.

What the fuck happened to me last night?

Who could even leave those on your neck? You didn’t have a boyfriend and Atsumu- Your heart stopped for a moment. Were you totally wasted last night? The images of you and Atsumu suddenly fills your head. The way he was being gently as he kisses you. The way he hugged your body as you sat on his lap. This made you feel the heat creeping up to your neck and cheek. It doesn’t make sense. Was it just a dream?

“No. It couldn’t be.” You say with an exasperated laugh before you took another glance in the mirror. You noticed how your make up was neatly removed. Was it Atsumu that brought you home last night? If he did, how did those love bites ended up on your neck? He wouldn’t. You two are just friends. He wouldn’t take advantage of you.

Walking back into the kitchen, you sit down on the seat awkwardly, not looking at Kaori. She giggles at your troubled expression, “I’m glad to hear that your night ended on a good note.”

“Oh god!” You exclaimed, pulling your hair, hoping that this was just a freaking dream. You just want to die right there. The suspense was torturing you. You don’t want to think about it right now. It can’t be your ex boyfriend. You didn’t even remember seeing him last night.

“Kaori-chan. What happened last night?” Kaori glances at you, a sudden worry appeared across her face.

“Please don’t tell me you’re one of those drunkards who doesn’t remember anything.”

“Unfortunately, I am!”

Kaori let out frustrated sigh, rubbing her temple before looking at you. She hesitated but continued. Kaori told you everything, on when you arrived at the venue with Atsumu. On when you and Kaori took pictures and had dinner together with the boys and her girl friends. On how you and the rest of the girls gossiped and how it led to Shioko ended up being with Nakamura, on how your ex cheated on you while you two were still dating. On how you confronted Nakamura but somehow you got slapped in the face by Shioko. On how Atsumu took the initiative in taking you home and that was it. That’s her side of the story. It was so much to take in but somehow you felt a bit relieved knowing that you were no longer have any relation with Nakamura. It did hurt though, on how he was seeing another girl while you two were still dating but it doesn’t matter anymore. You two broke up. You didn’t love him. You were just drawn to his good looks. You made a fool out of yourself. You didn’t take care of yourself.

“You really don’t remember when you got home last night?”

Silence.

Kaori’s eyes then landed on the couch before a sigh left her mouth.

“I think I have an idea on what happened” says Kaori as she stands up and walked towards the couch, grabbing the grey blazer and giving it to you. You looked at it with a confused expression before it hits you. It was Atsumu’s blazer. You could smell his scent from it, so fresh and zesty, like lemons. You then looked at Kaori again, “So...”

Kaori slapped a palm on her face before she looks at you with a weird expression, taking the blazer away from you and sways it in front of your face.

“Atsumu’s blazer. The hickeys on your neck. Both of you were intoxicated with wine last night. A man and a woman alone. That leads to the possibility of?” Kaori sings, waiting for you to answer but you just stayed at her blankly, making her roll her eyes.

“You and Atsumu were making out yesterday missy! It’s the only plausible explanation!”

You felt your cheeks heat up and the redness creeping up your neck. You don’t want to believe it. If it was true, then you really messed up big time. You just put you and Atsumu’s friendship at risk. You can’t afford to lose it. You always had fun when you’re with Atsumu but knowing you possibly gobbled up his face last night makes you just want to bang your head against the wall a thousand times.

“B-but why?!”

“I don’t know. That’s for you two to figure out. You need to talk” says Kaori with a knowing smile.

“What? No! I’m not just gonna straight up ask him like ‘hi Atsumu, were you the one who sucked my neck last night?’ Atsumu wouldn’t do that! We’re friends for goodness sake. We don’t have that kind of feelings for each other.”

“I don’t know about that sweetie. Your neck tells a different story” says Kaori, chuckling in amusement.

“Maybe this is just a rash from the wine-”

“No sweetie. I know a hickey when I see one, or in your case, hickeys.”

With that, you just remained silenced and ate your breakfast or lunch rather since you woke up pretty late. As Kaori keeping a conversation alive as she discusses her new designs for their upcoming fashion show exam, you suddenly recalled something. You remembered how you went to the bathroom to vomit in the middle of your make out session. The mortified look on your face made Kaori stop talking and raise her eyebrows a you.

“Oh my god! I messed up big time.”

“Why?”

“I puked in the middle of our kissing.” Kaori gasped and covered her mouth.

“Oh that’s not good.”

Puking in the middle of a make out session is definitely not a confidence booster. That situation could mean two things - either the thought of kissing that person was making you sick to your stomach or it was just bad.

You panicked at this. Knowing Atsumu, this would definitely offend him. Atsumu is a confident man. He may not mind other people’s opinions but the people closer to the golden-haired setter affects him. It brought butterflies to your stomach just by the thought of Atsumu’s red and soft lips moving against yours.

Who knew his lips felt so good on your skin?

Deep down, you were always thankful for the twins but somehow Atsumu has a special place in your heart. With his charms and fun personality, any girl could fall for him. You weren’t too confident with yourself and you had to endure the twins’ popularity in high school. You were always the target of being bullied by other girls. They would often bump your shoulder while passing the hallway and tweet about you, though no name dropping but you know it was you.

When you entered college, you were still vulnerable about it. All the emotional damage that you’ve been through, Nakamura was more of a comfort person to you at first, the fact that he’s the person who has shown romantic feelings for you, but it all went downhill as months passed by. He worsened you. He brought you more emotional and physical damage.

You hated yourself for it. You went into a relationship when you were still vulnerable. You didn’t take the time to heal but you wanted help but it was the help that you mistook. Why were you so in a rush?

Am I really that desperate?

How were you supposed to face Atsumu now? What were you gonna tell him once you two meet? If it’s true, how does this change your relationship with him now?

One thing’s for sure, you are in a mess.

Azusa Tadokoro’s soothing song ‘Hakoniwa no Kofuku’ featured as ED theme for Anime ‘In the Land of Leadale’

Popular anime voice actress from Japan, Azusa Tadokoro, has released her first digital single, ‘Hakoniwa no Kofuku’. Her photos as an artist, the album cover and music video has been recently released too. This latest image using diorama, where she wore a sensational red costume, is showing the world of the song with a totally different approach than what she has done before in any other of her music videos. The song lyrics has been written by Kosuke Oki and the song and arrangement are done by Kanda John. The pair have worked together already for her 4th album ‘Waver’. The song has also been featured as the ED theme for the TV anime adaptation of isekai fantasy light novel In the Land of Leadale.

On the topic of Akechi's hair.

Starting off with one of Akechi's more prominent aspects, his hair. It's a shade of blonde- to be specific, medium champagne. That aside, what does blonde hair normally mean in a character? Seeing as blonde is a variant of yellow, it can represent happiness, light, and youth. Anime characters with blond hair are known to be more goal oriented, working towards achieving a specific dream (Naruto) or accomplishing a difficult feat (Kaori) Blonde also represents a eurocentric standard of beauty, which brings us to our next point.

Short hair is typically seen as a 'second-choice' haircut when it comes to mainstream anime (see; Darling in the Franxx, Bunny Girl Senpai, etc.), but in American culture, it's seen as more professional and confident. Akechi's character is introduced as a brash, talkative boy that Saiki is annoyed by, however later we realize that Akechi is really just confident in his words and longing for a friend. Specifically, Saiki.

Onto the iconic aspect of his hair; his bangs. Now, bangs are normally given as a youthful waay to make a face look smaller. Aside from that, at the beginning of quarantine, "getting bangs" started to become a euphemism for "I'm so fucking lonely I need therapy." In a way, cutting one's bangs is taking action and being in control of oneself via the way you present yourself.

Of course, these are all true for Akechi, but let's relate his hair to his character and his past.

Bangs are great! So are bob cuts. But why did Akechi forego his childhood style undercut? My theory? It's a way to keep himself calm. Look at this photo of his scars from when he had been getting bullied.

His bangs had been cut to the hairline, insults strewn cross his forehead, bruises all over his cheeks. Now, look at his current hairstyle.

What are the key aspects of his hair, now? Overgrown bangs that are just above his eye, effectively covering his forehead. The front part of his sharp bobcut are framing his face, just touching his cheeks, nearing his chin.

The places his hair cover are coicidentally enough, places he had been injured right before Kusuo dissppeared.

Another important thing to note: His hair is cute and fluffy and deserves to be ruffled. Right now.

FEATURE: Meet the Stars of Princess Connect Re:Dive

Going into Princess Connect! Re:Dive, I knew little about it other than the fact that it was an adaptation of a mobile game. That didn’t bode well; my experiences with video game adaptations have been less than positive.

Imagine my surprise, then, when it turned out to be hilarious. When a pair of ridiculous-looking wolves started dragging off our protagonist, I completely lost it. I found myself constantly laughing at the KONOSUBA-esque humor — it was only much later that I’d learn that Princess Connect and KONOSUBA shared the same director. It was also well-animated and delivered some impressive-looking action scenes and spell effects.

At the end of the day, however, this is a comedy anime through and through. And comedy anime live and die on the basis of their voice acting. Unsurprising, then, that Princess Connect features an all-star voice cast, with the actors from the mobile game reprising their roles in the anime. Let’s take a look at some of the talented voice actors that bring the characters of Princess Connect, both the game and the anime, to life.

Pecorine (M·A·O)

Mao Ichimichi, also known as M·A·O, is probably better known for her non-anime roles — she started off her career in tokusatsu (live-action often with heavy special effects), most notably playing Luka Millfy in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. She later ventured into anime voice acting. She voices the cheerful and energetic (and perpetually hungry) Pecorine in Princess Connect. She has also voiced Iris in Fire Force, Luluco in Space Patrol Luluco, Hondomachi in ID:Invaded, Vorona in Durarara, Bela in Bem, and Remi Ayasaki in the currently-airing Horimiya.

Kokkoro (Miku Ito)

This isn’t the first time Miku Ito has played a character named Kokoro, having played the character of the same name in the BanG Dream! franchise. Her most well-known role is probably that of her own namesake: Miku from The Quintessential Quintuplets. Her other roles include Shimamura from Adachi and Shimamura, Ann Akagi from Action Heroine Cheer Fruits (in which she starred alongside fellow Princess Connect actor M·A·O), and Nana Mifune in Gleipnir.

Karyl (Rika Tachibana)

Rika Tachibana has an extensive voice acting career in video games, featuring in such titles as Granblue Fantasy, Magia Record, The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, Street Fighter V, and of course Princess Connect, where she plays Karyl. Tachibana’s anime voice acting roles include Sae Kobayakawa from The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, Reiko from Shomin Sample, Naruse from The Island of Giant Insects — in which she starred alongside ... you guessed it ... M·A·O — and African Wild Dog from Kemono Friends.

Yuuki (Atsushi Abe)

Our main protagonist Yuuki may not say much, but Atsushi Abe manages to make whatever little he says absolutely hilarious. Abe garnered widespread recognition for his role as Touma Kamijou in A Certain Magical Index and its spinoffs. His other roles include Moritaka Mashiro in Bakuman, Koichi Sakakibara in Another, Takashi in B Gata H Kei, Akiyuki in Xam’d: Lost Memories, Soya in Planet With, Inojin Yamanaka in Boruto, and Sougo in IDOLISH7.

Kaiser Insight (Shouta Aoi)

It is not uncommon for female voice actors to voice male roles, especially younger characters. But male voice actors voicing female roles? Extremely rare. Shouta Aoi’s unique, “angelic” voice allows him to do so, with him voicing main Princess Connect villain Kaiser Insight. Aoi is better known as a singer, but he made his voice acting breakthrough as Ai Mikaze in Uta no Prince-sama. Since then, he has voiced Hideaki Tojo in Ace of the Diamond, Licht in The Royal Tutor, and will voice Subaru in the upcoming adaptation of Tokyo Babylon.

Maho (Maaya Uchida)

Maho is considered by the other Princess Connect characters to be slightly delusional, so of course she is voiced by Maaya Uchida, best-known as the voice of out-of-touch characters like Rikka from Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions and Ranko Kanzaki from The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls. Her non-delusional roles include Yoshioka from Blue Spring Ride, Norman from The Promised Neverland, Yuki Yoshino from Food Wars, and Catarina Claes from My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom.

Miyako (Sora Amamiya)

I mentioned earlier how Princess Connect feels incredibly KONOSUBA-esque, both in its setting and its sense of humor. Makes perfect sense, then, for it to feature the voice of Sora Amamiya, known for voicing “useless” goddess Aqua from KONOSUBA. Amamiya’s other notable roles include Elizabeth from The Seven Deadly Sins, Touka from Tokyo Ghoul, Akame from Akame ga Kill, Kaori from One Week Friends, Isla from Plastic Memories, and Asseylum from Aldnoah.Zero.

Hiyori (Nao Toyama)

Nao Toyama played her first major role as Kanon Nakagawa in The World God Only Knows, which kickstarted her music career. Many people also know her as Yui Yuigahama in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, or Chitoge Kirisaki in Nisekoi. However, the role for which I personally recognise her the most is as the quiet Rin Shima in Laid-Back Camp. Other major roles include Karen in KINMOZA!, Ruka in Rent-a-Girlfriend, and Nozomi in Sound! Euphonium.

Suzume (Aoi Yuki)

Aoi Yuki has been earning plaudits this season for her energetic portrayal of the titular spider in So I’m a Spider, So What? Yuki has had many significant voice roles over the years, including Madoka from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Tanya in Saga of Tanya the Evil, Froppy in My Hero Academia, Tamaki in Fire Force, Diane in The Seven Deadly Sins, and Mami in Rent-a-Girlfriend.

Rei (Saori Hayami)

Saori Hayami is one of the most in-demand voice actors of recent times. She is known for portraying Yukino Yukinoshita in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, and received considerable praise for her performance as Shoko Nishimiya in A Silent Voice. Her other notable roles include Shirayuki in Snow White with the Red Hair, Shinobu in Demon Slayer, Tsuruko in AnoHana: The Flower We Saw That Day, Yumeko Jabami in Kakegurui, and Himawari in Boruto.

Jun (Ayako Kawasumi)

Jun is a classic knight in metal armor. And who better to voice a knight than Ayako Kawasumi, best known as the voice of Saber in various installments of the Fate franchise. Kawasumi is also a talented pianist, which explains her role as Nodame in Nodame Cantabile. Some of her other major roles include Fuu in Samurai Champloo, Erina Pendleton in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Alice in Pandora Hearts, Melfina in Outlaw Star, Natsuki in Initial D, and Lafiel in Crest of the Stars.

Io (Shizuka Ito)

Shizuka Ito won a “Best Actress in Supporting Roles” award at the 10th Seiyuu Awards for her performances as Meiko Shiraki in Prison School and Sailor Venus in Sailor Moon Crystal. Some of her other major performances are as Himawari in xxxHolic, Ran in Texhnolyze, Kaori Kanzaki in A Certain Magical Index, Boota and Darry in Gurren Lagann, Yayoi in Psycho-Pass, Rei Hasekura in Maria Watches Over Us, and Hinagiku in Hayate the Combat Butler.

Yui (Risa Taneda)

Risa Taneda is undoubtedly best known for her roles as Erina Nakiri in Food Wars and Kaori Miyazono in Your Lie in April. But to me, she will always be Saki from Shin Sekai Yori, where she delivered an excellent performance spanning many ages, and performed the first ending song too. Taneda’s other significant roles include Rize in Is the Order a Rabbit?, Mirai in Beyond the Boundary, Yukina in Strike the Blood, Ai Mizuno in Zombie Land Saga, Xenovia in High School DxD, and Yukari in YUYUSHIKI.

Labyrista (Miyuki Sawashiro)

Miyuki Sawashiro is one of the most prolific voice actors of all time. She first came to prominence as the voice of Puchiko in Di Gi Charat; she famously reprised the role in the English dub of Leave it to Piyoko, becoming the first anime voice actor to voice the same character in both sub and dub. A few of Sawashiro’s other major roles include Kurapika in Hunter x Hunter, Celty Sturluson in Durarara, Bishamon in Noragami, Fujiko Mine in recent installments of Lupin the Third, and Kanbaru in the Monogatari series.

Aoi (Kana Hanazawa)

Kana Hanazawa needs no introduction, being one of the most popular voice actors of our times. She rose to popularity as Nadeko in Bakemonogatari and its sequels, performing the iconic opening song “Renai Circulation.” Some of her other anime roles include Akane from Psycho-Pass, Mayuri from Steins;Gate, Angel from Angel Beats, Kosaki Onodera from Nisekoi, Hinata Kawamoto from March Comes in Like a Lion, Kuroneko from Oreimo, and Ichika from The Quintessential Quintuplets.
