The ever eloquent Karolina Żebrowska on AI-generated images of historical clothing styles, people and environments and what those might do to our collective imagination.

A Tim Burton Character, But She's Edwardian and It's 1913 / Karolina Żebrowska as Miss Tatternickle
Here's something a little out of the ordinary, but very fitting for Halloween! Karolina Żebrowska (affectionately known among my friends as "cranky Polish costume lady") has a YouTube channel mainly discussing fashion history, but with occasional skits and sketches.
The character of Miss Tatternickle first appeared in a 2020 video titled "A Tim Burton Character, But She's Edwardian and It's 1913." However, many people in the comments pointed out (correctly, in my opinion) that Miss Tatternickle is properly an Edward Gorey character, rather than Tim Burton. Or possibly even Charles Addams.
So far, Miss Tatternickle has appeared in three short videos, wearing a different costume in each one. But the original is the classic, and my personal favorite. I love the bold stripes with the black gloves, and of course the goggles!
