So many people who play AC;O are horny for Kassandra and Alexios and I get it, but where's the thought towards Barnabas and Herodotus! I just think it sounds sweet. Less sweet is thinking about the Deimoses but while I think Tumblr is a bit lacking there ao3 isn't Though to be honest I don't look at AC;O fandom content too much, because one of my favorite characters are Stentor but I'm not a fan of shipping him with family members. -K

Some pre-fall sibling fluff! I’ve gone back and forth about what to do with Stentor’s character for a while, but I think I’ve got it figured out. For this au, Stentor is still adopted, however this happened before Taygetos (by at least a year or two). In canon, he’s the eldest—he’s at least 30 when you first meet him, as that’s when Spartan men would become eligible for command positions. Here, though, he’s a few years younger than Alexios. I think it really sets the family up for a different dynamic going forward.
This version of Stentor, only being 6 or 7 when Alexios and Kassandra ‘died’, would have looked up to his brother quite a bit. Alexios was smart, sharp, and strong (helped along by the whole demigod thing) and up until the fall was the epitome of a good spartan child. At least as far as baby Stentor over here was concerned. The adults thought that similarly but also thought he was a stubborn little shit.
I’m going back and forth on whether to include the ‘boy king’ idea from my post about whether Alexios would have been in line for/already on the throne or not, which changes things as well. I’m leaning towards yes, although I haven’t decided how to resolve it past Alexios not returning to the position. I think it would he hysterical if they were desperate for him to come back because of Pleistoanax and/or Pausanias’ betrayal and he is absolutely not having it.
Side note, the outline for this story just keeps getting longer and longer. This thing is going to be long lmao

Head cannons bc I can - What kinds of affectionate the Eagle Bearers are
Tumblr media
Alexios of Sparta - The Misthios of Eros. TELL ME that this man doesn't have hands. I DARE you. Personal head cannon of mine that he's good at giving massages among various other things... Will be kissing you...A LOT. He doesn't care about other people - he'll stop if you're uncomfortable ofc but otherwise? Man is all about waving the "This is the woman I love and I'ma show it all I want!" flag lol. I see picnics on the beach happening a lot and being the common way you two come together for a relaxing end to your days and a peaceful moment together. You two walk together on the shore in the moonlight and talk about your plans for the future, what you would like to do together, if you both have time what you would like to do the next day together, (what he would like to do to you...man is uhh a connoisseur...of YOU lol). Also teaches you self-defense but after about forty minutes of practice which actually teaches you something, he gets antsy, stalks toward you with a smirk and well... Head cannon that his love kept two drachmae from the first pay he ever brought home from a contract, money that he presented and shyly stated that he made for both of them. She kissed both coins for luck, made them both into necklaces, and gave the token to him. He kissed you in thanks, and then kissed you again, and again, and again.... Would be so.turned.on if you took up for him. Seeing the one he loves get all fierce in defense of him just...gives the Spartan goosebumps. He always asks you to press a kiss to his ACTUAL steel blade (ya nasties...) blade for good luck before he goes for the day to work. He honestly and wholeheartedly believes that your kisses are good luck, this man is just...WHIPPED. He LOVES you more than life itself and ESPECIALLY more than drachmae lol. Any chance he gets he buys you something that he thinks you'll look gorgeous dressed in (or being undressed from..). He often takes your feet in his lap and strokes your calves fondly as you two talk, tracing absentminded patterns. Alexios loves it when you take his face in your hands and gently scratch his stubble, man turns into a Spartan puppy lol. Expect to catch his beautiful brown eyes watching you with a smile on his face anytime you look at him. Escorting you to the market and smiling as he watches you move about gathering items, he feels lucky just to stand and be with you holding your basket. He is a kisser of palms. He'll turn his face into your palms, with his eyes closed, kissing them gently and just enjoying your touch. I don't believe in the canon of him spending all that time alone, so he has his love for all those years as the Eagle Bearer. If it's even possible he loves you more and more everyday than you two spend together and this love never for a moment wanes. Alexios continues to love you even after you two finally rest in Elysium together over two thousand years later.
Tumblr media
Kassandra of Sparta - The Playful Misthios. I look at this woman and I see someone who loves to give face kisses. She just loves to take your face in her hands and pepper your face with kisses as you laugh at the ticklish feeling. I see her being fond of the beach. She would take you there often the two of you enjoying the water and of course you wind up burying her in the sand, the two of you laughing hysterically about it. If you cook for her, she'll love it so much, especially Greek dishes which make her feel so happy and at home. (She has fought both Alexios and Stentor over who gets to eat the last of the hummus you made LOL). She loves to sit with you at the end of a long day and talk to you about literally anything, she loves the sound of your voice and thinks you're breathtakingly gorgeous when you laugh. She also loves to have a relaxing moment with you to just enjoy your company and take pleasure in the fact that she is yours, and you are hers. She seems like the type of partner to hold your hand through your fears and try to help you overcome them, she'll never push you too much but if you're genuinely afraid of something she'll try her best to make it less scary for you. If heights are a problem? She'll take you somewhere high slowly where there's a beautiful view and tell you to describe to her what you see, smiling to herself proudly when you focus more on the view than your fear. She is VICIOUS when protecting you. She does NOT play around when it comes to your safety, she'll legit feed their eyes to Ikaros if a single hair on your head is out of place. Try her. She'll for sure teach you combat if you want to learn and gift you a beautiful knife that you carry every day for more than two millennia. Tell me why she plays so.dang.coy when she flirts with you during training and flusters you and then acts soooo innocent about it. Endearing names and confessions of love in her native tongue are constant, with every morning beginning with "I love you" and every night ending with "I love you still". I think we all know that she's a family woman I mean the whole game is pretty much her trying to find her family and be united with them all again after years of separation. I think given the chance she would be a wonderful mater and would love her children and the woman who brought them into the world with every fiber of her being. She loves holding you from behind and resting her chin on your shoulder, loves grabbing your waist and give you a fond but gentle squeeze, CAN and WILL get a mischievous look on her face just before bending down to pick you up over her shoulder and haul you off laughing her Spartan ass off. Kassandra picks you up. And often. Whether it be bridal style or over the shoulder, she just likes to carry you around like the queen she thinks you are. There's a puddle? You're getting picked up. Uncertain terrain that might hurt your feet and ankles? Not on her watch. SCOOP. Holding your hands, tracing your fingers with her own and not feeling a wedding ring on your special finger feels so wrong to the misthios. Rest assured she fixes that quickly. Will braid your hair in intricate styles loving the soft silky feeling of your locks in her hands, who would've thought that such a daunting woman could do thing so sweet and delicate? She sometimes wakes up before you and watches your sleeping face tracing it gently so not to wake you, wondering how she ever got so lucky as to have you by her side. I REFUSE to go with cannon that she spent more than two thousand years alone SO... The love you two have lasts until the very end, through everything you two endured together you stayed strong in your love for one another for over two thousand years. And when the time came for the trade in 2018...you two held hands as you walked to Elysium together for some well-earned rest.

Hiii hello! I come bearing gifts (an ask game if you wanna play!) List 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the askbox for the last 5 people who liked or reblogged something from you! get to know your mutuals and followers (ू•‧̫•ू⑅)♡
Oo! I've done this recently, but as it's in the Odyssey box, I'll do 5 things on this specifically for fun. The first ones that come to mind are:
The sheer chaos that is Kassandra / Alexios' little home on Kephallonia. All the abandoned hobbies. The questionable scene just below it on the hill. The fact that the wiki says Phoibe lives there too. I just love it.
Herotodos. I know that between the two boat dads, Barnabas is by far the fan favorite, but Herotodos has a VERY special place in my soul. I can't even pinpoint why. He just does.
All the fandom shenanigans around Stentor. I wanted to strangle him in the game, but fanfiction / fanart have completely reversed that. Easily my favorite part of any work he's featured in. Smile every time.
Intentionally fucking up Alkibiades quests and making him irate. It makes the fact that he keeps coming back 10x funnier and led to so many funny headcanons in explanation. Try it. It's worth it, I promise.
That little pool not far from the front of the temple of Apollo in Korinth. I've spent far too much time there <3
There are so many more now that I'm thinking about it, but I'll leave it to these :)

The Modernity of Love
It has been 2, 000 years since the Fall of Athens. It has been 2, 000 years since the destruction of the Cult of Kosmos. It has been 2, 000 years since Kassandra has ever known the place she once called home, Kephalonia.
The ancient legend known as the Eagle Bearer has seen the world change right in front of her eyes. She has watched technology evolve and help humankind do tremendous wonders. She has watched her own family slowly die of old age. Her pater retired from the military just to be with her mater and her brothers. Kassandra has watched Alexios and Stentor build their own families and continue the bloodline, all while she stayed the same. She didn't even age a bit. The pain of being alone and suffering the curse of immortality.
2018; Brooklyn, New York
Kassandra had just finished her lecture from a well-known university. She has made a name for herself, a renowned professor of Ancient History, specifically that of Ancient Greece. She would passionately discuss everything in detail about her time without letting anyone know. The way every student of hers would look forward to her lessons because of her way of teaching. Kassandra would not miss even a little detail about Anceint Greece.
While taking a walk back to her penthouse, (yes, she has a penthouse because of the amount of money universities would pay just to have her as a visiting professor) the Eagle Bearer spots a familiar figure from afar. Short black hair, tanned skin. She only knew one person who would have those features. As the woman walked towards the Spartan, she raised an eyebrow at her. "Do I know you?" The woman asked as Kassandra stood still. She looked like she had seen a ghost. Hearing the question, the taller woman shook her head. "Uh... sorry. You just reminded me of someone." She replied nervously, to which the woman shrugged off and walked away.
"I will always recognise you. Even if it's not in the underworld."
Kassandra mumbled under her breath, hoping the stranger wouldn't hear her. But alas, the strong wind may have carried her words, and Eros' arrow may have hit the woman's heart. She froze in place as she heard those words. Flashbacks of her past life flashed before her eyes. Her life in Ancient Greece. A blurry but familiar face appears in her mind.
"Would you recognise me even in the underworld, I wonder?"
The woman then turns around and sees that the tall stranger had disappeared into the crowd. She desperately starts to search for that mysterious person. Her eyes wandered around in hopes of finding her. Heavy breaths as she runs around while tears begin to stream down her cheeks.
"Kassandra..." She mumbled in utter despair. How she has longed to be with her beloved misthios again. And finally, she spots her and sprints towards the said person.
"Kassandra!! It's me, Kyra!!" she shouts as she finally caught up. Wrapping her arms around the bigger woman. Tightly hugging her from behind, not wanting to let go.
The professor stopped in her tracks as soon as she felt slender arms around her. Turning around, she sees the woman crying her heart out. Gentle hands then held her cheeks. "Kyra... I know you're not my Kyra, but it really is you." Kassandra says as she holds Kyra close to her. "I know... but how could I forget my favourite misthios?" she replied back.
Looking into her eyes, she remembered the very first time they met to their first night together until she left Mykonos. Oh, how she felt like all of that had happened yesterday. A soft smile forms on the Spartan's lips as the other woman holds her face. "You haven't changed a bit." Kyra spoke as she kept her eyes on Kassandra.
Without any hesitation, Kassandra grabs Kyra's hand and takes her to her penthouse. Of course, the archer did not show any signs of protest as she had longed for this moment. The smiles on their faces as they arrived and began to kiss. Their hands started to take off each piece of clothing as they made their way to the bedroom.
The night was filled with love, lust, and passion as they had been apart for centuries. Kyra laid her head on Kassandra's chest as they relaxed in silence. Enjoying each other's warmth as the rain fell.
"So... you won't be staying for long, huh?" Kyra finally spoke as she watched the storm outside. Kassandra looked at her as she heard her. The Spartan could only give silence as an answer. The thought of leaving Kyra again ached her. She had no choice but to pass on the staff to someone who would take such responsibility. Kyra then looked up at her lover. "Just... promise me we'll meet again." She spoke as her voice began to break, and tears fell on her cheek. "We will, my love. We will." Kassandra replied, wiping her beloved's tear stained cheeks.
Their relationship continued for months until Kassandra had finally found the new bearer of the staff. The night before, she sat on her bed in the darkness of the room. Looking at the staff in her hand, she could remember everything that had happened in the past, as if it were just yesterday. Kyra, in her night dress, stands in front of Kassandra and gently raises her chin to look at her. Artemis' moon shining in the room and upon Kyra. The way Kassandra was in awe of her lover's beauty in the moonlight. Oh, how she wished they could stay like this forever.
Keeping the staff, the misthios gently pulls the woman on to her lap, resting her head on her beloved's chest. Closing her eyes and listening to her heartbeat for one last time.
"Make love to me for one last time, misthios." Kyra cooed as she brushed Kassandra's hair gently. Without hesitation, Kassandra gently laid Kyra on the bed and began to undress. They made love slowly and passionately as to never forget each other. Dawn finally came, and it was time for Kassandra to leave. Slowly getting up, she looked over her shoulder to see her lover fast asleep. She quietly gets out of bed and gets dressed.
As she stepped out of her walk-in closet, Kassandra saw Kyra awake, sitting on the bed with the blanket covering her chest as she watched the sunris. She approaches her and gently kisses her cheek. Kyra turns and kisses her lover gently. "Before I go... I got something for you." Kassandra spoke as she pulled out a velvet box. Inside was a necklace and pendant in the shape of the blade of Leonida's spear. Kyra smiled softly as she looked at the gift. She turned her back so Kassandra could put it on her. "It's beautiful, misthios." She says as she looks at the jewellery. Kassandra couldn't help but kiss Kyra one last time. "We will meet again. I promise." She says one last time, then leaves to meet Layla Hassan.
2024, Greece
6 years had passed since Kassandra had left the mortal world and crossed the River of Styx. Kyra on the other hand, had continued Kassandra's career path of teaching Ancient History despite being an Olympic archer.
She had taken a trip to Greece to relieve her past memories and to somehow ease the pain of losing her beloved. As she walks through the halls of the museum, she spots a bust in the middle of the room. A face that was very familiar to her. Upon approaching it, she chuckles as soon as she recognises the face. "This isn't what I had in mind when you promised we would meet again, misthios." She mumbled as she gently caressed the bust of the Eagle Bearer. She kept her eyes on the sculpture. "I've missed you... so much." She mumbled again. Her eyes began to well up with tears but immediately wiped them off.
Without noticing, a tall figure approaches. "The Eagle Bearer was a very important character during the Peloponnesian War, don't you think?" the woman spoke to which Kyra immediately froze as that voice sounded so familiar to her. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. She discreetly pinched herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming.
"You okay?" the woman asked out of concern as she noticed the other wasn't moving. Kyra then turned to where the voice was coming from. Her eyes widened as she couldn't even believe who she was seeing. The stranger saw her necklace and was in shock as well. "Leonidas' spear..." she spoke as she looked at Kyra. They both stood still as they tried to process what was happening.
"Kassandra..."
"... Kyra"
Both women couldn't help but end up laughing and giggling. How the sisters of Fate may have given them another chance to be with each other again. This time without worrying about a certain staff. Kyra gently caressed Kassandra's face and smiled softly. "6 years wasn't easy... But I do hope you're not 2 000 years old." she teased. "Last time I checked, I'm 35." Kassandra replied with a chuckle. "That's even better." Kyra spoked as she moved closer.
"Please don't leave me again"
"Never. I promise."

Kind of an out of nowhere question, but did the Kryptonverse Kassandra manage to unite her family throughout her Odyssey, or did she lose them all to tragedy?
A bit of both, really. Kassandra did manage to keep everyone alive and reunite her family, but Alexios - who was not born a demigod but was magically enhanced beyond even that level - died within a couple years of the destruction of the Cult - his body simply couldn't handle the changes without the Cult's magical support. It was heartbreaking, and part of the reason why Kassandra has a very chilly relationship with Olympus, as they refused to heal him for his part in supporting the Cult that aimed to see them destroyed (however complicated the situation might've been).
Nikolaos died of natural-ish causes roughly five years after the family reunited. He wasn't super old, but a lifetime of war had taken its toll and he passed of a heart attack while tending the fields of their property. He did live to see Kassandra made a goddess, at least.
Stentor lived a full life, even going on to see Sparta win the war, and dying before Sparta lost much of the power it had gained. He always was a lucky bastard.
Myrrine simply vanished one day, while Kassandra was off uniting the Amazon tribes. The heartbreak of losing Alexios had taken a toll of the psychological variety on her. She left a note stating that she wished to return to life on the seas for the remainder of her life, asking Kassandra not to look for her. Kass ignored the request, but sadly never found her - perhaps she died as during a failed pirate raid, to Poseidon's unforgiving mood swings, or maybe she simply sailed away from the Greek world, never to return to the place that had caused her so much pain.

Rewatching AC: Odyssey rn. Here’s what I’m loving.
. Going through as Alexios this time
. Why are Kassandra, Alexios, and Brasidas so good looking? Like so many people are just so good looking in this game
. The tension between Brasidas and Myrrine 👀👀👀 like, I’m not imagining that, am I? They-they’re hooking up, they have to be. Making eyes in front of Alexios like that. Which is funny because when the play through is Kass, I think she and Brasidas are OTP.
. I forgot Brasidas death 🙃🙃🙃🙃
. Brasidas bromance. I love their connection with him, and him in general.
. This story was long as hell. There were so many parts and people, I couldn’t keep track. It was a bit overwhelming.
. Stentor, this poor loser lol I felt so bad for him lol
. Ikaros! 😍😍😍

fanfic writing asks: 10, 12, & 16!
Questions found here!
10: Favorite line or lines of dialogue that you've written
I actually did a similar prompt a while ago and while I couldn’t decide between a bunch of quotes then, I think I've narrowed it down to this little snippet from chapter 5 of The Children of Kephallonia, With No Hesitation:
So when their training session ends so they can eat, Kassandra beckons Phoibe over, kneeling down to grip her shoulder and look her easily in the eye. She is not Nikolaos - she will be better than Nikolaos - but there are no other words than the ones her father gave her so long ago, “You are my greatest pride, Phoibe. Remember that.”
12: What WIPs do you have going now? Are you excited about them?
Besides my posted fics, I have three WIPs that’s I’m actively working on, and by actively working on I mean I’ve opened them in the last month and think about them constantly and especially when I’m trying to work on my posted fics 😂
First is A Flap of an Eagle’s Wings, which will be my second Odyssey time travel fix it fic, except Kassandra and two others come back a lot earlier than in Rebirth and accidentally end up setting everything on fire in an attempt to fix things.
Second is my untitled time loop fic, in which Alkibiades keeps waking up the day Perikles and Phoibe dies. Chaos ensues.
Third, the Percy Jackson trailer inspired me to go back to my crossover fic which somehow ended with me starting a NEW FIC. So now I am working on the Personal Journal of Herodotos of Samos - with unauthorized annotations from Kassandra the Eagle Bearer and Barnabas of the Adrestia - from Delphi to Athens to Sparta to Atlantis and everything.
16: 3 favorite comments ever received on fanfic.
A little long, so I put them under a read more!
From the Children of Kephallonia, A Night for Blood
This story is awesome! I love Assassin's Creed but I never find any good fics for it. Then, while searching for an Edward and Conner fic (not romantic, mind you) I found this gem. You are righting a wrong that I didn't think would ever be fixed. On top of that, your writing is superb. I don't think I found a single grammatical error in seven chapters. I don't think that's ever happened to me before. Your descriptions are vivid and the characterization is excellent. Well done! I hope you continue with this fic, because this is incredible.
From Rebirth, Sparta II
That was so cool. Kass sounds like she's a force of nature, literally blowing everyone away multiple times or shaking the ground when she and Alexios spar. Also the constant, jumping and flipping gives the fight scenes some movement and make it feel fast paced. Which actually makes me compare Kassandra to a bird, all mobile and flipping and flying around. I guess the Ikaros part of her soul is influencing her. I like seeing how other people see Kassandra because it's like, do they see her as a demigod more, do they approve of her un-Spartan like lifestyle and all that. Also I like Stentor's point of view he's just done with it all or Nikolaos' gemeral confusion on what the hell is going on. They're funny 🤣
From Not a Málakes Ravenclaw, Molly I
I don't understand how you keep making great fics, and making them all feel new, and not just recycled ideas from your other fics. I didn't think a Harry Potter/Ac Odyssey fic would work but here we go with me wanting another chapter after I just finished reading what I'm thinking is gonna be another great fic from you. I like how Kassandra says all they traumatizing things and the other are freaked out that she's just nonchalantly saying something so crazy, like confirming God's exist or that her dad threw her off a cliff at such a young age. Thank you for writing these great fics, I'm always excited when I see you upload another chapter.
