You know I stated it before as a response to this ask, and I know a lot of people hate it, but Kendratello is unironically a fantastic ship imo.

Kendra is Donnie’s type to a T and then some. She’s “cute, but mean”. Her color scheme is purple. She’s into tech. She’s cool and is a “bad girl.”

Like it works way too well for there to not be something there. Whatever it is, it’s chaotic as all hell and at least pseudo toxic, but it works for them.

Kendratello Headcanon

In order to get secret information from the Purple Dragons as well as the bonus of stealing their high tech, Donnie comes up with the “genius” plan to woo Kendra, pretend he’s interested in her romantically and when she’s off her guard from “being so in love” with Donnie, he’ll steal all her stuff.

Little does Donnie know, Kendra had the exact same plan in mind.

And so begins the fake dating trope! Both Donnie and Kendra pretend to be romantically interested in one another in order to steal their tech (thinking they’re plan is working cause the other seems in love with them unknowingly to them that they have the same plan in mind) but during the ordeal of them “dating” they actually start to fall in love with one another.

Donnie starts to realize how pretty Kendra is (she is cute and mean which Donnie has admitted is his type), how he always wants to try to make her smile and hear her talk for hours about her passions.

Kendra notices Donnie charm and adores his wit, how confident he is in everything he does and loves his hardworking spirit along with his skilled dance moves.

At the peak of their relationship, both of them have forgotten what their original plan was. They share a sweet moment the two are about to kiss but Donnie’s brothers and The Purple Dragon gang interrupt the moment. Both teams now furious for how long the plan was taking, expose Donnie and Kendra’s plans to the other. Donnie and Kendra are both shock and even heartbroken from this reveal, everything they been through when they “dated” meant nothing to the other (it did) and it was for the sake of a plan to destroy them!

Then begins the blame game for both Donnie and Kendra excusing the other for betraying them and blaming the other for who starting the fake dating idea. They were both lead to believe that there could be something between them (when in truth there is). They “broke up” after that and are both mad about the betrayal for it broke their hearts (though they won’t admit that) and even shattered their egos a bit.

Now anytime Donnie and Kendra see each other when the Turtles and Purple Dragons are about to fight, they just argue and bicker like an old married couple, still salty and blaming the other for who’s responsible for their “break up” even though they both did the exact same betrayal! XD

FAI Do you have any Timatello/Kendratello headcanons?

(just curious and searching reasons to procrastinate)

Generally no, I'm not really a big ship person. I do like pine and slushie's Timatellos and obviously the angst of slushie's Kendratello, but in general I don't really ship a lot. (the exception is 12 Donnie with Casey and April, they are a throuple and you can't change my mind)

Oh, one hill I will die on: no matter what the ship, Donnie is a massive bottom. He will tell everyone that he's a top, but make no mistake-he is a bottom. (Leo does this too but he knows he's not fooling anyone) This works very well with Kendratello and Apritello AUs, since they are both tops and will domme the shit out of him. But Timothy is usually portrayed as being kind of derpy and golden retriever-ish, so I can't help but see them like

I have nothing against Kendra nor Kendratello, I think most of you have actually done a good job at being civil and to that I give my honest thanks. I personally do not like the ship because of my own headcanons and feelings but those are my own and shouldn’t stop you.

BUT what were not going to do is pretend Kendra is some how Donnie’s savior from the big bad 2012 april.

Like I need you guys to be fucking for real here. She’s canonically manipulative, befriending rise Donatello just so she can steal his gear such as his battle she’ll which ya know is pretty fucking important to him given his sensory issues and his soft shell. Used his fear of beach balls against him (which granted is funny as fuck ) and befriended shelldon to win a race and subsequently dumped him when lost and is just canonically a dick to friends/step sibling.

Don’t get me wrong she’s not straight up evil or anything’s she’s a hammy bully antagonist but that’s just it she’s A ANTAGONIST.

I thought we were over the weird ass hate boner for 2012 April is becoming barely disguised sexism with certain individuals picking and completely butchering other female characters as some gotcha moment
