Despite how absolutely giddy it made him, Jeongin was nervous about actually telling everyone about him and Seungmin. The perpetually anxious part of himself worried they would find it weird or disapprove or worse, convince Seungmin not to feel that way. So for at least a few days, he wanted to keep it to themselves.

And, already being the perfect boyfriend, Seungmin had no problem with it. “Whatever you need, baby.” He’d said, pressing a kiss to Jeongin’s cheek.

So Jeongin and Seungmin continued their day, and then another, and another, until they were a few days shy of a week and no one seemed to be aware of what had changed. It was all shy glances and small smiles when no one was watching, and disappearing into each other’s rooms for a movie night where they “just happened” to fall asleep in the same bed.

Jeongin was still working up the courage. Despite Seungmin’s assurance that everything would be fine Jeongin couldn’t shake his anxieties completely. He knew they had to say something eventually, and definitely sooner rather than later. He just wished there was a way to ease his mind. Would they all be shocked? Upset? Weirded out? Incredulous? Supportive? 

He did his best to tell himself everything would be okay but he was still apprehensive.

Which is why this was, maybe, not the best idea.

Maybe he shouldn’t be on the couch with Seungmin. Maybe he shouldn’t have kissed him part way through the movie they put on. Maybe he shouldn’t have straddled his lap. And maybe he shouldn’t be currently whimpering and grinding down on him, Seungmin’s tongue down his throat and hands on his ass.

And yet, here he was.

He blamed Seungmin and his enticing lips, really. It wasn’t his fault that his boyfriend was so intoxicating. It wasn’t his fault that he needed kisses to live. He couldn’t resist Seungmin and he knew Seungmin couldn’t resist him either. 

“Baby,” Seungmin just managed to murmur the pet name against Jeongin’s lips between kisses. “Ba-” Another kiss. “Innie?”

“Mm?” Jeongin was hardly paying any attention to Seungmin’s words, far too distracted by sweet kisses.

“Should we move, baby?” He hummed, smiling against Jeongin’s lips.

Jeongin tightened his arms around Seungmin’s neck. “Too comfy.” He hummed. “Don’t wanna move.” He tried to get another kiss from Seungmin but he moved back a little.

“Are you sure?” He asked. Jeongin opened his eyes to find Seungmin’s eyebrow quirked as he regarded him. “They might be back soon.”

“They always take forever to get back.” Jeongin whined. “And they always go out to a cafe after anyway.”

Seungmin gave him a small smile. “I think you’re just greedy.”

Jeongin responded by closing the distance and stealing a smattering of kisses.

“Can you blame me?” He hummed.

“If we get caught I can.” Seungmin chuckled into the kiss.

“We won’t get caught.” Jeongin said, far more to reassure himself than to assure Seungmin.

“Hmm, whatever you say.” Seungmin murmured, before capturing his lips once again. Jeongin whined at his words but he didn’t stop the kisses. He tried to put the thought from his mind and as Seungmin gently squeezed his ass, tongue exploring past his lips again, his worries started to melt away.

Until he heard the beeps of the keypad on the door.

Jeongin froze, Seungmin a little slower to catch up and pause his kisses but not quite reacting until the door started to open.

Jeongin had never moved so fast in his life. He pushed away from Seungmin, scrambling off his lap and letting out a loud curse as he fell back onto the floor, managing to also knock the back of his head off the edge of the coffee table.

“Shit,” Seungmin seemed to forget that anyone was walking in as he slipped off the couch, gently cradling Jeongin’s head as he squeezed his eyes shut and let out a shaky breath from pain. “Baby, are you okay?”

“Baby??”

Jeongin’s eyes snapped open, pure stress dulling the pain as he locked eyes with Felix who was peeking into the room.

“Wait, are you okay?”

“Did we interrupt something?” Hyunjin chuckled, glancing around the corner.

Jeongin felt the heat rush to his skin as he sputtered, trying to find the words. Seungmin was still far more concerned for his wellbeing, coaxing him to sit up properly and checking the back of his head for a bump.

“Finally.” Minho’s voice carried around the corner. “Can we stop pretending we haven’t heard you two fucking now?”

Jeongin felt his heart racing so fast he thought it was going to explode as Seungmin finally looked up at them.

“You could hear us?” He asked, voice so calm while Jeongin was simply dying for a hole to open up beneath him and suck him in as embarrassment flooded him.

“Sorry, they’ve been what?” Felix asked.

“You’re so lucky your headphones are noise cancelling.” Minho said tiredly before looking around the corner into the living room. “Can you two at least keep it down? The last thing I need when trying to sleep is to hear Seungmin’s name louder than it was ever meant to be said.”

Jeongin let out a humiliated whine as he wrapped his arms around Seungmin, hiding in his neck. Of all his predictions about how it would go telling them about the relationship, he didn’t even consider that any of them already knew. That they had heard him moaning. Jeongin was sure that the universe was about to implode. It would be more bearable than this.

“Can’t help that I’m good in bed.” Seungmin chuckled.

Jeongin hit him in the arm weakly. “You’re not helping.” He whined.

“I can’t believe I missed that.” Felix said, more to himself than anyone else. “They have been spending a lot of time together.”

“They literally sleep together more than they sleep alone.” Hyunjin laughed as they headed into the kitchen. “So many movie nights.”

Jeongin let out a groan against Seungmin’s shoulder. Seungmin left out a chuckle, hugging him and ruffling his hair. 

“Well, we don’t have to tell them now.”

“I wanna die.”

“You’ll be fine, love.”

“Easy for you to say.” Jeongin pulled back to eye him. “They didn’t hear you moaning.”

“Well, maybe you need to make me moan your name more often then.” Seungmin grinned against his lips.

“I am begging you two to get a room.” Hyunjin called from the kitchen.

“Seconded.” Felix added.

Jeongin gave Seungmin a glare as Seungmin chuckled, a blush working its way up his cheeks.

“Nevermind dying, I’m gonna kill you instead.”

“You love me too much for that.” Seungmin teased.

“I hate you actua-” Seungmin cut him off with a kiss.

“You’re just mad I was right about moving this to my room.” He said.

“Don’t be mean, I’m injured.” Jeongin pouted.

Seungmin softened immediately, checking the back of his head again before helping him up. “Let’s get some ice for it, okay? Then we can go cuddle.”

“Okay.” Jeongin took the opportunity to slip his hand into Seungmin’s hugging his arm and watching a slight blush dust his cheeks.

“I’ll take care of you, love.” He hummed quietly, squeezing his hand. Jeongin snuggled against him. 

“I know you will.”

Kill Boksoon (2023)

As an action film, Kill Boksoon has the pulse-pounding sequences of hand-to-hand combat you're looking for. When the picture slows down to focus on its family drama and side characters, it can’t help but feel derivative of other works. Whether the stunts and choreography are enough for you, I can't be sure. For me, I found it lacking.

Single mother Gil “Kill” Bok-Soon (Jeo Do-yeon) is a hitwoman working for M.K. Ent, one of several criminal organizations specializing in discreet - or not-so-discreet, if that’s what you want - assassinations. Gil is also a single mother who struggles to connect with her teenage daughter, Jae-yeong (Kim Si-a). As Gil contemplates retirement, the two worlds she’s worked so hard to keep separate start moving too close together for comfort.

I never buy into these “assassins with a code of honour” movies. Bok-Soon’s boss, Cha Min-Kyu (Sol Kyung-gu) goes into great length about this airtight secret society of killers he and his peers assembled, how they won’t slaughter children, will always do the jobs they’re assigned (among other rules) and how this has made the criminal underworld a better place. It just doesn’t hold up. Firstly, any drug addict will accept to do pretty much anything if you give them $100, so how exactly can Min-Kyu and his sister Cha Min-Hee (Esom) guarantee only "sanctioned" killers are "working"? We see them take out targets outside of Korea. Are we supposed to believe there aren't any mercenaries anywhere else? Next, that code of honour. Give me a break. So you’re not killing little kids. What you are willing to do is make them orphans, and the second someone turns 18, they’re fair game so don’t pretend like you have some moral high ground. You didn’t see Mother Teresa handing envelopes of cash to get someone whacked. What I’m getting at is that no matter how much the film tries to get you to sympathize with Bok-Soon, a part of you will always think “she freely admits she’s going to Hell because of all the crimes she’s committed. I’m pretty sure the planet would be better off without her.”

Even if you don’t have issues with the problems above, the premise isn’t original. You figure Bok-Soon will eventually have to turn on her fellow assassins, with her boss - the man who taught her everything - facing off against her at the very end. We’ve seen that a thousand times. There is a bit of intrigue in the family drama stuff. After a violent incident at school, mom wonders if the apple doesn’t fall so far from the tree. Too bad that business makes the film swell up to a needlessly hefty 137 minutes. Way too long.

The action scenes are the reason to see this picture. Director Byun Sung-hyun does this cool thing where he has his protagonist imagine how a scenario might go, and then show Bok-soon snapping out of her fantasy so she can try something different. It’s a clever way to extend the fights and more than once, catches you by surprise. The stunt choreography is great, with an extended brawl in a bar is the film’s highlight.

In North America, Kill Boksoon is being released via Netflix, which means you can see it "for free". This is a film that ultimately, I doubt you'll remember, which means that's the right price for it. From the comfort of your home, you can set aside the blemishes and focus on what works, which are the action scenes and to a certain extent, the family drama. The reaction of this family towards Du Ri An and Kim So Jeo has me CACKLING 🤣🤣🤣

2 reasons why I got hooked with “The World of the Married” (yes, just 2)

It is not your typical drama about infidelity, it’s REALISTIC af.

Unlike other TV shows of the same genre, the story didn’t really focus on why the husband cheated on his wife which we all know the reasons are always bullshit and the wife becomes miserable yet decides to become a martyr for the sake of keeping the family together (old school and cliche), the worst: making the wife some sort of a psychopath to justify the husband’s affair with their mistresses, aaand the worst of the worst: the wife and the mistress focus on killing each other because of that guy who’s full of shit rather than giving a chance to the other man aka the second male lead who’s way, waaay better than the dick husband (it makes me cringe! I mean wtf really?).

Aaaaanywaaaay, the story mainly focuses on the impacts:

The misery it causes the wife because of her husband’s infidelity.

The trauma it leaves the children after realizing their families are falling apart.

The aftermath of getting a divorce

and the difference between the society’s views between a divorced man and a woman.

It also tackles a lot of issues that I personally think people nowadays don’t really discuss and that’s what makes this show interesting, that’s what drew people’s attention.

The story doesn’t focus on just the main character and her story

We all know Dr. Ji Sun woo is the protagonist so obviously I was expecting the story to focus on her but surprisingly I got the chance to get to know the other characters on a deeper level. Each character have their own struggles, they were put in different yet difficult situation and how each of them dealt with it. This is why the story is complicated and the characters are hard to portray. Also, I laud the writers of this show for pulling it off without messing up the entire storyline.  

On top of that, I really appreciate the fact that even if some of the characters did something bad, they still got the chance to redeem themselves: Lee Tae Oh for example who lost everything in the end, but after reflecting on the things he has done he started to get his life together, it’s not going to be easy but a determined person will always succeed not matter what.

Yeo Da Kyung also got another shot, we all hated her at first, but as the show goes on I actually came to understand her (in a way), her biggest mistake wasn’t falling in-love but pushing through a forbidden affair which led to a broken home. But we can all agree that just because you made a mistake in the past doesn’t mean it’s too late to redeem yourself, it will never be too late. 

Jae Hyuk at some point did try his best to make it up to his wife and I appreciate that, so did Ye Rim. But even if they love each other, the trust has long been gone, love is essential in a relationship but it is pointless without trust. Jae Hyuk got a new girl and we can all hope that he’ll learn his lesson from his ex-wife, and I’m glad Ye Rim realized that she is much more than just a plain housewife. 

Lastly, Lee Joon young–I know many of you hated him for hurting his mom, but I was in his shoes before (actually, worse) that’s why I can never hate him. It’s hard to be torn between loving and hating your parents at the same time, it’s tormenting and suffocating, it makes you sick and angry, it creates a wall and prevents you from having an open mind and an understanding heart to deal with situation better, though we had different approach to it, the show implied that he did come back to his mom after a year, and I believe that he has fully healed and ready to start over again.

P.S. I believe Dr. Ji will have a future with Dr. Kim, for now she just have to take her time.

One of the best drama experiences ever! Hands down to the cast and crew, if any of you do not agree that they deserve tons of awards don’t even talk to me.

I think (and I hope) yi seo is going to get the biggest redemption arc from all of the characters. so far she’s been mean to her friends, made a transphobic comment about hyun yi and, apparently, she’ll be racist towards the new character (i’m not there yet). what i gathered so far is that she lacks a lot of self-awareness, and she doesn’t understand why her behavior is problematic. but also her mom never showed her what’s right and what’s wrong, instead, her mom congratulated her for pushing a friend in order to win a race. i think sae ro yi is a huge contrast because he is a good person and he’s doing good things because it’s the right thing to do (she’s doing good things, so far, for him). but i still think she will learn right/wrong and she will start doing things for her not to make her mom mad, or to make sae ro yi like her. it’s pretty fitting that she’s an influencer, considering how much validation she seeks from those two people. all she does is to perform, she hasn’t been completely vulnerable yet, and i’m excited to see the other side of her character. also, kim da mi is just an amazing actress and it’s kinda refreshing to see a male lead being the good inspiration for once instead of a girl changing a boy with the power of love. i hope to see yi seo changing because sae ro yi is confronting her with reality and she starts to be a better person for herself. also, i really hope that she apologizes for her racism/transphobia because she means it and not because she knows sae ro yi wants her to do so.

Top Ten Songs

I’ve gotta stay up until 7 p.m. KST for a fansign call (not with ONEUS, I’m not that lucky), so I’m finding things to hold my attention and keep me awake. One of those things is writing about my Top Ten ONEUS songs at slight length. 

10. “Hide and Seek” from In Its Time 

I love that dirty bassline, what can I say? As another Cosmic joint, I have to admit this feels like Now, the Sequel, but better (Now: ”Who are you?” Hide and Seek: ”I’m you, but funkier”) Bonus points for cute Ravn rap. Favorite part: The pre-chorus! What is UP, melodic subversion?? Also excuse me, hello to those ad-libs over the lead-in on the final chorus. Seoho, could you calm down for like three seconds, sir??

9. “Dead or Alive” from Lived

I could write essays on this song. Dead or Alive is what I desperately wanted from TBONTB. The vocal arrangement is risky, which is what I kind of expect from ONEUS at this point, and it is so satisfying for that. Not that I don't love TBONTB, but oh my ever-loving GOD, Dead or Alive!!! I only hesitate to rank it higher because I always try not to rank new songs too high without breaking them in for a few months (spoiler: another song from this EP ranked higher). If my ears do not deceive me, this song uses the full chromatic scale in the refrain, and that alone is worth like +500 points from me. And the storytelling in this song...? My heart!! The way it takes elements from every other song on Lived and rolls it up into one? Seriously think about THAT and then come back and tell me that Dead or Alive isn't the most incredible song on the EP. I could keep going. I could talk about this song for a long time. But I'll stop here. Favorite part: "Shigando geoseulleo galge" fucks me up every time because it opens my third eye about the lore of this whole EP. 

8. “808″ from 808

808 goes harder than JP releases usually have a right to, and I absolutely love it. I would say it's all down the production/arrangement (whoever had the idea to include epic violins in this song deserves all the money), but the chorus vocals are also legendary. Woong, Keonhee, and Seoho nail this song to the WALL. Favorite part: All that said about the chorus vocals, my favorite part of this song is simple but non-negotiable: it is definitely "sudeni ready to aim for the stars!" thank you Xion bb for my life. 

7. “ZigZag” from Light Us

I love cute poppy songs, what can I say? This song does great things with the melody, though. It really reminds me of an early MMM song - it's definitely RBW, and ONEUS brings something unique to it. Favorite part: The way the synths go absolutely crazy in the pre-chorus. 

6. “Dizzy” from Lived

My top ten is really dominated by the bright ONEUS songs, isn't it? I just feel like this is where they all shine as a vocal ensemble. Their personalities all come through in Dizzy, and I'm a sucker for that emotive sort of performing. Also, local Seojo trash continues to push Seojo agenda. Really though, how incredible does everyone sound in this song? Keonhee's honey vocals especially send me over the moon (hm... ToMoon... much to think about). Favorite part: The fact that you can literally hear Seoho grinning while he's singing before the last chorus. But also (this is a trend with me) Ravn coming through with the cutest rap in the world that still manages to have a killer flow. 

5. “Plastic Flower” from Fly With Us 

Give Xion more lines!! This song is proof that he is capable and adds a very interesting sound to the group whenever he's allowed to sing! Also I'm soft. I love this song so much I named my blog after it, okay? This was also, I remember very clearly, the first b-side of theirs that caught my attention (I started to stan and listen to full EPs with Lit), so I also have sentimental attachment. GOD Fly With Us is such a good EP, DANG. Favorite part: As previously mentioned, I'm Seojo trash, so of course it's "Annyeonghaseyo, jeo jeoneun Kim Young… :/ "

4. “Blue Sky” from Fly With Us

Oh my god, Blue Sky. Okay. This song defies classification to me. I hesitate to call it a ballad, because it goes so hard. The first time I heard it, I was blown away. It has some of my favorite vocals AND two of my favorite raps in their discography - I love Leedo and Ravn's "ballad raps" in general but these are my favorites. Leedo in particular sounds so amazing in this song, and Xion's lines!! Xion HAS lines, first of all, and he absolutely kills them. Favorite part: The entire last verse leaves me breathless every time. The way Ravn, Seoho, Leedo, and Keonhee's voices weave together is so powerful and unique, aaaaahahhhhhh.

3. “Lit” from Fly With Us

Everything a K-Pop song should be. Absolute king shit. It's well-structured, it's catchy from the first listen, it has an iconic refrain (whom amongst us did not immediately start singing along with "Eolssu! Eolssu!", I ask?) I've gotta say, this song may not rank as high if I'm talking from only the musical standpoint. But can we talk about the MV? Can I say how much this MV reflected their personalities and elevated the song because of it? I think it's a package deal, personally, Lit and its MV. Favorite part: Ravn's rap, yes absolutely, I owe it my soul. But more than that, going deeper (Inception noise), I cannot stay mad whenever I hear that little "yekki!" 

2. “BingBing” from Raise Us

So full of personality. Such an earworm. Emotional and kinda unsetlling lyrics. Xion speaking French? OKAY. It's title track worthy, for sure, but luckily this song seems to have legendary status among ToMoon. I'll admit, it took me a while to warm up to BingBing, but once I did it was like a tidal wave of appreciation for it. Another marvel of production - the layering of the vocals goes DEEP and gives it so much texture. Favorite Part: I'm a simple person. I cannot resist the "Neoneun gaeya? Neukdaeya?" There's so much attitude there. I know I say this a lot about ONEUS, but they didn't have to go that hard.

1. “Valkyrie” from Light Us

This song goes places. It's the one that made me fall in love with ONEUS and it's still my favorite, oops. The tempo changes are ridiculous and the song is so rewarding to get to know well. I should have known I'd be in deep for this group when I said "what the fuck" at least three times during my first listen to this song. It's produced SO WELL - I still find new things to hear in this song.  It also helps that the whole thing starts off with a guitar riff. I gravitate to good guitar and/or bass riffs. Favorite Part: The bridge on this song is absolutely jaw-dropping, and I'm a sucker for a good bridge as it is.

Jin Scenario: Comforting you during a bad storm

I am writing this for @haosmull8​ because holy shit I would be dying if I had to deal with the constant tornado sirens going off where you live 😭 I hope this helps bring you some comfort 💜

Jin was in the shower having just got home from practice. You could hear him singing along happily to Anpanman and you couldn’t help but giggle. He really was putting on his own concert in there for the two of you. Every once in a while you would yell out a fan chant from the song and you heard his laughter ring out through the apartment. You were sat by the window when you noticed everything outside become extremely quiet. You saw lightning flash and you felt your heart rate increase. You hated thunderstorms so much. You were doing your best staying calm until the wind started to pick up and the rain started hammering against your window. You quickly shut it and dove into bed, pulling the covers over your head. It’s just thunder and a little wind, everything will be okay. You were trying to calm yourself but then you heard the tornado sirens go off. You squealed and jumped out of bed and began frantically banging on the bathroom door. 

“Jin! Kim Seokjin!” You hear the water turn off.

“Baby? What’s wrong?”

“The tornado sirens are going off I’m really scared.” He can hear your voice quivering. Suddenly a particularly loud clap of thunder sounds. You scream and dive back into bed. 

“Shit, I’m coming jagi give me two seconds.” Jin rushes out of the bathroom, just wearing his shorts and hair dripping water all over the floor when he’s met with the sight of your shaking form hiding underneath the blanket. “Oh, honey come here.” He climbs into bed with you and pries the blanket off of your head. Your hair is sticking up in every direction and Jin smiles at you fondly as he runs his fingers through your hair trying to get it back into place. He kisses your nose and pulls you into his chest, hugging you closely to him. You wrap your arms around his waist and he is placing kisses to the top of your head. Another bright bolt of lighting and gust of wind and suddenly the power is out.

“J-Jin..”

“Hey, it’s okay honey. Remember I told you, you would always be safe with me and I would never let anything happen to you, right?” He feels his shirt dampen with your tears. “I promise you’ll be okay, y/n. That tornado isn’t going to come anywhere near here because it knows I will fight it if it tries to hurt you.” You let out a chuckle at that and Jin smiles.”What do you call a fish with two knees?”

“Jin is this really the best time to be making jokes?”

“If it makes you smile and feel better then yes. Anytime is a good time for dad jokes.”

“Alright, what?”

“A two-knee fish.” You stare at Jin just blinking for a moment before you both burst into laughter. 

“That was awful, Jin.”

“But it made you laugh and that’s all that matters.” He lays down and pulls you to lay on his chest. The wind has died down and the downpour has slowed to a steady rainfall. Occasionally a clap of thunder rings out into the air, but you do feel better being in your boyfriend’s arms. Jin’s reaches up and gently trails his fingers up and down your back and soon you hear him start singing.

Applause was heard all over the place. After the show, you went to say bye to everyone. You really felt like going home now. You didn’t know coming here would leave you a roller coaster of emotions.

As you were returning to your car, you noticed someone leaning on your door. Your steps faltered. He was still wearing that suit and the messy necktie. Now he didn’t have his mask on and was wearing that smile of his you missed so much.

~~~Marry me~~~~

  "W-What?" Ji-ya asked wide eyed. Not quite sure she heard him correctly.

   Taehyung glanced around taking note that everyone was staring at him in surprise. Suddenly self conscious he rubbed the back of neck and rushed on. "Or Jimin or Jeongguk. We would help you out of anything,  you know that. B-Besides it would be fake anyway."

   "M-marry you? Or Jim or Jeo?" She stuttered in shock not able to complete a thought. This couldn't be happening. She must be dreaming. There's no way Kim Taehyung non-chalantly proposed. He did add on fake but still.

    Jeongguk grinned. "You did always call us your knights baby girl."

   Ji-ya looked at Jeongguk as she thought about his words. She did call them that once upon a time. Of course it was when she was a child and they saved her from bullies. This was a whole different situation. The bullies ran away and never bothered her again. Marriage even a fake one whomever the groom would be stuck, at least for awhile. 

   She turned her eyes to Jimin before slowly settling on Taehyung. The two of them stared at each other for long moments.  As if all the other occupants in the room faded away. Softly, so softly you would have missed it if there was even the slightest sound Ji-ya answered Taehyung's proposal. "Yes."

  "What?" Taehyung asked just as softly.

   Ji-ya swallowed glancing around at the forgotten people in the room before speaking again. "Yes, I will marry you."

  Hoseok barked out a joyous laugh. "We're having a wedding!"

  His excitement dwindled to nothing as he realized no one else joined in on his laughter. "Guys?"

   Namjoon turned to his friend. He wanted to be joyous. Ji-ya was in front of them. They were reunited. But something was holding him back. Ji-ya made a statement before the proposal that struck an odd chord. "Ji-ya why were you sent away?"

   Ji-ya looked at Namjoon. " Because I sucked the principal's dick."

  All seven of the guys stared at Ji-ya in shock. There was no possible way that, that could've happened. She wasn't that type of person. The Ji-ya they knew was shy and timid. She was a romantic. No strings attached intimacy was not part of her make-up.

   "Stop lying Ji-ya." Soo-yeon spoke from behind them. "They aren't stupid. There is no way they'll believe that shit." 

   Ji-ya sighed. Soo was right. Lying to them was pointless but she really didn't want to tell them why. She didn't want to see their reactions to the truth. Especially since it could open the gates to stuff she kept from them long before she left. Secrets she never spoke of even though they made a no secrets pact. "It's not important. Forget about the past and let's enjoy being together again."

  Jeongguk narrowed his eyes. Why is she lying? What is she hiding? He knew she left because of something she refused to do. She told him as much in the good bye letter he received. Did she think they would look down on her if she told them why? "It is important Ji-ya. You leaving left gaping hole in all of our hearts baby girl. We spent seven years crying over why." He spoke. "Please tell us why."

  Ji-ya looked at Jeongguk seeing the hurt in his eyes. She knew if she looked at the others it would be the same. She nodded in surrender and sat down. Once the guys followed suit she began. "I have to start at a point before what actually made me leave. I want to ask you not to be upset with or hate me after what I'm about to confess but I won't be that selfish. Instead I will ask you to just let me finish before you judge me."

  She waited as they passed looks back and forth with each other before nodding to her in agreement. 

 Ji-ya swallowed. "It started my fourth grade year. Conditioning I was told. Min women had to learn their place. What was expected of me. Fourth and fifth grade year weren't too bad. A lot of degrading and putting me down. It didn't really bother me much. I was used to being bullied. At least being degraded hurt less than the physical abuse I received at school. Towards the end of fifth grade and all of sixth is when it got bad. Degrading wasn't working as effectively as they hoped. I wasn't submitting. They sat me down and told me how I should be grateful that they didn't abort me when they learned of me. See part of being a Min women is to bow to the whims of the Min men. No matter the order. That's how I came about. Mr.Min wanted the Min corporation to get in bed with Park industries. So he whored his wife out to achieve his goal. They've done it many times before so it was just another day at the office. Something went wrong though. Either the condom broke or in the heat of the moment they forgot to use one, who the fuck knows, but she got pregnant. Thinking I understood how thankful I should be training continued. Sixth grade year Mrs. Min taught me the ins and outs of what would be required of me. Seventh grade year they brought a man to my bedroom. They wanted a business partnership and he bought me as a part of the deal. They left him with me and closed the door for privacy. They came running in less than five minutes later. The man was screaming like a bitch. Mainly because I stabbed him in the dick, but I had the knife at his throat when they came in. I was sent away two days later." She finished.

   Yoongi, Jimin, and Hoseok were crying. Jin, and Namjoon had a few unwiped tears. Jeongguk and Taehyung looked liked they were struggling at holding back their rage. 

   "C-condi-I-tioned y-you? R-r-ra" Jimin stuttered through tears before breaking down into full on sobs.

   "I wasn't raped, Min. Almost but never raped. The conditioning was about tearing me down. Making me feel useless and worthless. Making me submissive so that I could be used. Maybe if I were anyone else it would've worked. I had you. All seven of you. Each of you made me strong. I didn't succumb to their conditioning because of you."

   "Why didn't you tell us?" Taehyung asked. His voice low and angry.

   "Because I already felt like a greedy bitch. I already laid out too many of my burdens on you. You dealt with too many of my battles. I wanted to be strong. I wanted Yoongi to be proud of me. I wanted to show my brother that I was worth something."

  Yoongi stopped crying and looked at his sister bewildered. "I've always been proud of you. You never needed to prove anything to me. I love you, we love you. We laid our burdens on each other. When Jin questioned his sexuality who gave up their first kiss to ease his confused mind? You did. When any of us had a bad day who listened to and comforted us? You did Ji-ya. You never laid too many burdens on us. You weren't greedy. We took and gave from each other. Family is what we are. All of these guys stand by you not because you are my baby sister. They stand by you because you are their world. Our world."

    Ji-ya flung herself into Yoongi's arms and cried on his shoulder. "I'm sorry." She cried over and over again. She cried when she felt multiple bodies surround her. She cried until she fell asleep in the collective arms of Bangtan.
