Millie is left reeling from Trostani's betrayal.
Words: 1389
Rating: T
News of Trostani’s betrayal had reached every corner of Ravnica. The dryad was allegedly still in a trance following the revelation of Oba’s slaughters, and the Selesnya had attempted to carry on, business-as-usual.
Millie, meanwhile, retreated from their duties to the Conclave. They hadn’t been very active to begin with – it was their parents who had been dutiful members – but now, the half-elf’s involvement was nil. They spent their days in silence, contemplating endlessly.
The shapeshifter hopped off the trash can he had been sitting on, perched in the form of a cat. He padded over to the fence and squeezed between the bars, entering the house via a cat door (how many times had he reprimanded Millie for leaving such an obvious opening to their house?). Then, he manifested in his most common form, behind his partner. The half-elf was staring into a cup of tea, totally absorbed in thought.
Lazav returned to Millie’s home shortly after Oba was exposed. He had laid low, trying to solve the murders for himself, but that damn waste-of-space agency had beaten him to it. The Invasion had left his skills rusty, it seemed.
“Millichika,” he said gently, laying a hand on their shoulder. They hardly responded, and Lazav felt a strange pang deep in his chest – for all his arcane wisdom, he couldn’t place the sensation clawing beneath what would have been his ribcage. “Millichika. Your tea is cold.”
They blinked, tilting the tea toward themself, and their button nose twitched. “I forgot all about it,” they admitted, pushing it aside. Their gray-green eyes, usually bright and sparkling with good cheer, were puffy and red. “I’m sorry.”
“Trostani,” they replied flatly. “Selesnya. The whole damn thing.” They rubbed their swollen eyes. “I… I’ve been thinking, since you’ve been gone. I might… I think I’m going to resign from the Conclave.”
“You have no reason to apologize.” Lazav swept his cloak back and sat across from them at the table. “Tell me what troubles you, kisa.”
Lazav titled his head. “And why is that?” he prodded. Admittedly, he’d never expected Millie to even consider such a thing. They were a predictable kind of person – most of the time.
Millie’s typically even temperament flared for a brief moment, but they quickly collected themself. “Oba. She… she’s betrayed us all. Not just the Conclave. All of Ravnica was hurt by her, and now she just gets to – to run away? To hide behind her sisters and Emmara?” Their eyes darkened. “And the Conclave acts like nothing happened. Oh, just play nice with each other. We’re the guild of harmony, we can’t acknowledge that Trostani is a murderer.” Millie sniffled. “And we’re supposed to believe she’s the true voice of Mat’Selesnya. That she gives a damn about Ravnica. No, she’s selfish.” They paused. “I never felt all that close to the Conclave anyway. Elves and humans aren’t supposed to mix, but here I am. They all tried to be nice, but I’ve always been an outsider. Even in the guild that’s supposed to be about peace and acceptance. I’ve never fit in.”
That strange feeling prickled under Lazav’s skin again, and he realized what it was – sorrow, for Millie. Belief was such a fickle thing; that, he knew well. All it took to make a knot of religion come apart was to pull at one specific string.
The half-elf stared out the window, where Vitu-Ghazi stood proud in the distance. “We’re taught to believe in Trostani, you know. To be completely, totally devoted to her. I… I already struggled with that devotion. But now, it’s gone. I think of her and I feel bitter. But…” Millie swallowed hard. “I want to leave, but my association with the Conclave… it’s the last thing I have from my parents.” Hot tears brimmed in their eyes, and Lazav couldn’t help but reach across the small table and cup their cheek in one hand. “If I leave the Conclave, follow my heart, I won’t have anything left from them. If I stay, I’ll stay bitter, and I’ll never be happy.” Millie’s eyes flickered suddenly. “Actually, I think… I think I know what I’m going to do. Thank you for listening, Zava.”
They stood from the table, nearly stumbling over Vasily and Murka on their way to the bedroom. When they returned a few moments later, Millie was fastening the last buttons on their heavy tartan coat. “I’ll be back soon.”
“Do you want me to come with you?”
“I need to do this alone. But thank you.” Millie paused at the door. “If you’re thinking of sending a spy bug after me, I can’t stop you. But… I’d really like it if I could just. Do this by myself. I need to.”
“I understand.” Lazav nodded to them. “Go, kukolka. I’ll be waiting for you.”
Millie arrived at Vitu-Ghazi some twenty minutes later. It was early afternoon, a busy time for the Conclave, so they were able to weave through the crowd, avoiding prying questions and doubting glares. They came to the council chamber, where a centaur guard was snoring outside.
Emmara Tandris looked up, and the gaze of her fellow council members fell upon Millie. There were harsh whispers and inquisitive yet accusatory stares. The half-elf felt their ears warm, but they did their best to stand tall. “Guildmaster Tandris, I need to speak to you.”
Millie opened the doors as quietly as possible and slipped inside so as not to disturb the slumbering guardian.
“Approach,” the elf replied, despite the murmurings of her chorus.
The low-ranking guild member stepped forward, keeping their chin held high. “I…” Millie’s throat felt dry, but they forced themself to speak. “I am resigning from the Conclave. I can’t follow Trostani any longer. And I can’t stand and watch the rest of the Conclave behave as nothing is wrong.”
Emmara’s face was painfully sympathetic and serene, and it almost made Millie want to vomit. “I understand,” she responded gently.
“You know what this means, Guildmaster,” a Conclave crony said. Millie knew what it meant, too.
The high priest of the Conclave sighed softly, and reached out to touch Millie’s hand, which they allowed. Even if they couldn’t believe in Trostani, Millie could appreciate Emmara. “I’m sorry,” she whispered, before raising her voice so the rest of the council could hear. “Milena Laska, you are exiled from Vitu-Ghazi. You may shop at our stalls; you may be healed at our sanctuaries. But you may never step foot in the Guildhall again.”
“I understand,” Millie echoed. “Thank you.”
They turned and left without another word, passing the still-slumbering guard. Millie felt like they were lost in a daze, stumbling through Vitu-Ghazi and out into the cold winter air.
Instead of taking a carriage, Millie walked the entire way home.
“How did it go?” Lazav asked as soon as Millie stepped inside.
“Better than I thought,” they admitted. “Exiled from the Guildhall, but that’s really it.”
“Hmm.” Lazav crossed his arms. “Guildmaster Tandris is a naive fool, but she’s a kind fool.”
“I imagine you say the same thing about me.”
“Only because you won’t close up the cat door.”
“Even if I want to go to Hellbender?”
“Zava,” Millie sighed heavily, and Lazav couldn’t help but smirk a bit. They knew he was teasing – though he considered that now was not the time, and backed off.
“Should we do something tonight, to keep your mind off things?”
“I’ll go get changed and do my makeup.” On their way by, Millie leaned down and kissed his cheek. “Thank you. For everything, really. You’ve shown and taught me so much.”
“Yes, even if you want to go to Hellbender.”
“You flatter me, kisa. Now, why don’t you go put on the nice red dress I bought you? I’d like to see it again. We’ll have dinner, I’ll accompany you to Hellbender…”
“You’ll dance with me at Hellbender,” Millie corrected.
Lazav ceded the point with a slight nod. “We’ll have a nice night. You and I.”
“I’m counting on it.” One more kiss, and then they disappeared into their bedroom.
Lazav felt pride surge in his chest. His Millie had freed themself from the confines of the Selesnya; and now they could be whomever they wanted, the master of their own fate – at his side, of course.

Michiko vs Jetsam
Tumblr media
Whew! This is done! I got carried away so I am very sorry for the length :’D
Michiko’s mod and I had some fun talking about our characters and especially the gear Michi is developing!
Unfortunately they were very busy this week, but I was more than happy to write the fight results :D
CW: emetophobia // there is a brief scene describing vomit semi-graphically
The roar of the crowd echoed through the stadium as Jetsam Kisa and Michiko Watanabe entered the battle arena. Both of the students walked to their side of the arena with a sense of purpose, even if they were nervous wrecks on the inside. Once they took their proper starting positions, the two contestants smiled weakly at each other as the announcer called out their names and the people in the crowd cheered for the next fight.
‘I’m pretty sure I’m going to pass out,’ Jetsam thought as he gnawed on his lips in anticipation, ‘That or throw up. Oh god I hope I don’t throw up in the middle of the match. Everyone here is watching. God, my parents are watching,’ Thick, heavy plums of smoke rolled out of his mouth the more frantic his thoughts became, until they nearly completely cloaked his figure, ‘I think I saw Best Jeanist in the stands too! He’s not going to want to associate with the kid who threw up during his first match. What am I doing here? What am I even going to do-?”
Jetsam was snapped out of his rapidly spiraling thoughts by movement in his periphery; Michiko gently waved her hands at him and gave him a broader smile, despite clearly being nervous herself (if the crease in her brow was any clue to her emotional state).
“Let’s both do our best during this fight, Kisa-kun!” Michiko called out from her side of the arena, before her gaze hardened with a resolve she often reserved for studying the most complex of quirks, “Although, I hope you know that I will not be taking it easy on you. I need to see how far I can go, and to learn about the extent of my current abilities.”
Seeing Michiko’s determination and hearing her will to succeed was like a salve to Jetsam’s shot nerves. He took a deep breath, then released the pent up smog. The smoke surrounding his body partially dissipated too. It was almost a shame how well Michiko’s words calmed him down; he would be better off easily producing the pollutants that came with high stress. Jetsam briefly wondered if her kindness was double-edged in a way; was it a strategic way to prevent him from building up his quirk before the match? He shook the thought out of his head before yelling back to her:
“I wouldn’t have it any other way, Miss Michi!”
He could only hope that his grin masked the nerves that were still rolling in his stomach. He knew Michiko; knew her quirk. It could only be activated by physical contact, so as long as he kept his distance he should be okay.
‘Although,’ Jetsam thought as he gazed at the chain-like device at Michiko’s hip, ‘that capture chain she’s been developing could be difficult to beat. I’ve never seen what it actually does before.’
All too quickly, the announcer began their countdown: “3...2...1...BEGIN!”
---------
As soon as the bell rang, Michiko shot forward, arm extended, with a single-minded determination to do one thing and one thing only: get to Jetsam before he could gain control of the battlefield with his quirk. If she could grab a hold onto him before his smogs and tars and other (frankly, gross) expellents became too overwhelming, then she could nullify his quirk with her own, and use her capture device to prevent him from continuing the fight.
Jetsam must have realized her plans, and had just enough time to dodge out of her range, smog spewing out of his mouth now that his adrenaline was no doubt pumping again. Not to be deterred, Michiko quickly shifted her balance and dove after him again, careful not to let him hide behind the pillars of smoke he was creating.
‘He’s not going to make this easy for me, but I have been preparing for this occasion for too long to let this game of tag keep me from winning!’ She thought to herself, resolve growing with every inch closer she got to Jetsam, ‘He can’t avoid me forever, and I have a secret weapon I’ve been dying to beta test!’
After a few more moments of chasing after Jetsam, Michiko took a gamble and let him escape to the sanctuary of smog he created across the arena. She knew she had to be quick, but some risks had to be taken to assure victory! She knew that she had the power within her to win.
He wouldn’t be able to outrun her prototype, after all!
--------
‘Phew, I think I finally managed to shake her,’ Jetsam sighed with relief, dark smog still escaping his mouth and obscuring his figure to the crowd (and hopefully Michiko as well). ‘Now I have a moment to breathe. Hah, figuratively, at least.’
He made sure to keep his eye on the clear silhouette of Michiko he could make out through his smog, never before more grateful for his mom’s sight-related quirk partially making its way to him. She seemed to be standing still, perhaps strategizing her own plan to catch him and throw him out of the arena? He hoped the smoke wasn’t making her feel too sick. He had to be quick.
‘I can probably end the battle if I cover her in tar and stop her movement. It might be unpleasant but it’d be safer than trying to beat her in hand-to-hand or some other physical contest. I haven’t been training with Tsumi for too long, after all. Yeah okay, that’s the plan!’
Just as he was about to produce the sticky tars necessary to carry out his plan, a thin silhouette darted out from Michi’s figure, slithering across the arena at a speed too quick for Jetsam to react to.
As a cold, thin figure coiled itself tightly around him, the only thought sparking across Jetsam’s brain was:
“Michiko brought a snake?”
-----
‘Bingo!’ Michiko exclaimed to herself as Jetsam’s no-doubt unconscious shout revealed not only his location, but the fact that her capture device had worked perfectly as intended.
While it still had quite a few bugs to sort out, one of the most recently added features was a heat-seeking tracker that would allow the machine to chase after targets even under adverse visible conditions.
She cocked her head towards the direction of Jetsam’s quick yell of distress; she couldn’t get complacent. The capture device was only half the battle! She had to guarantee that Jetsam couldn’t continue the fight in order to assure her victory!
She couldn’t just blindly run through the smokescreen either; who knows what kinds of traps he could have placed while she set up her capture device. No. She had to be methodical, and safely make her way to Jetsam’s location while he was encumbered.
The smog was thick, but now she had her goal within sight: grapple Jetsam and nullify his quirk, thus ending the match.
-----
Okay, so it wasn’t a snake, but it was still bad news! Jetsam’s arms were completely pinned by the robotic device wrapped around his torso. So this was the work of the capture device that Michiko had worked so hard on? Jetsam had to admit that it was effective. He couldn’t fight with his limbs restrained like this, and that shout he gave out completely alerted Michiko to his location.
‘So this is it. The fight’s over, and I spent the whole time running away and cowering in the corner. Everyone is watching. Everyone saw. Everyone will know I’m just a big failure who doesn’t deserve to be here. Oh god what if Sato-sensei kicks me out of the hero course? What if they kick me out of the school?? What if everyone laughs and ignores me and hates me OH GOD-’
As the panicked thoughts swirled in Jetsam’s mind a pit formed in his stomach. A pit that rapidly expanded into a big, black ball of anxiety and nerves. He could almost picture it in his mind’s eye: an ugly, bloated orb dripping with heat and stress and bile. The more he envisioned it the more it grew until he could almost feel it spilling out of his mouth like a slick oil spill across his lips and---oh wait.
It wasn’t in his mind’s eye.
Jetsam groaned to himself as gushing rivets of slippery, rubbery oil spewed from his mouth all down the front of his body.
“Well this is perfect!” Jetsam exclaimed to himself, although it was muffled by the sheer volume of oil that expelled out of him as he spoke. He really did throw up. God, could this fight be any more of a disaster?
First he gets captured by Michi’s device, then he literally vomits gross oil from the stress. Fantastic. He shifted uncomfortably, as the oils soaked into his jersey under the capture device and--wait a moment. Oil. Disgusting, smelly, beautifully SLIPPERY oil! That was slicking up his torso and arms even now!
Jetsam pulled his arms upwards experimentally and YES! They were sliding out, he wasn’t restrained anymore! Maybe he could hide again and strategize-
The victorious thought was cut off by a hand shooting out from the pillars of smog, reaching for his newly freed arms.
-----
“I finally found you, Kisa-kun!” Michiko called out, jumping from out of the smokescreen with a triumphant smile.
Her eyes narrowed slightly at the sight of Jetsam freed from his restraints, but she simply chalked it up to a prototyping failure; she could ask him about the specifics of how he escaped once the match was over, anyways.
This time Jetsam couldn’t dodge her oncoming attack, and Michiko grappled him to the ground, pinning his arms above his head. Now was her chance to nullify his quirk! She had been practicing in hand-to-hand combat, she could still push herself to her limits and come out on top!
Michiko began to focus her energy on her quirk, as Jetsam struggled underneath her. As soon as her quirk began its nullification, she saw the startled look in his dark eyes, and winced slightly in sympathy. She had been told that her quirk was a bit unpleasant to the target; with the process feeling not unlike having your blood drawn through your whole body.
As her quirk took effect, the copious amount of smoke around them began to disappear, once again fully revealing them to the crowd of spectators around the stadium. As her own vision began to clear she was startled to find them lying at the edge of the arena; if they had tussled a bit further out they would have been out of bounds.
Jetsam followed her gaze to the boundary line, and his jaw tightened as his face flushed a dull purple. Was it anger at his predicament?
“I’m very sorry about this, Miss Michi,” he gurgled apologetically, as the last of his quirk bubbled from his mouth into a viscous oil that was spat out onto Michiko’s face.
With a shout of surprise, Michiko’s grip loosened enough for the slick oils still coating Jetsam’s arms to allow him to escape her grasp. Vision impared by the pollution covering her forehead and dripping into her eyes and nose, Michiko was unable to dodge the hefty push against her chest as Jetsam scrambled away from her touch, getting onto his feet. It was only for a moment, but it was enough for his quirk to return in full force.
“Again, words cannot express how sorry I am for doing that.” Jetsam called out to her, although his speech was hard to make out with the thick pollutants leaking from his mouth.
Michiko shot up from the floor, furiously wiping at her face to clear it of the oil. Once her vision returned, she turned to face Jetsam. The two ran at each other, trading blows and each trying to grapple the other into submission. The build-up of tar and oils worked as a double edged sword; Jetsam easily slipped from Michi’s grasp, but she also used that to her advantage to slide out of the way of his attacks.
Then, there it was: that single, gleaming moment where Michiko could see the exhaustion, see Jetsam’s attention waning as the fight dragged on for just a bit too long. Right there! He was right by the boundary line, and had miscalculated a move that left him off-balance and vulnerable.
‘Sorry Jetsam,’ Michiko thought as she built momentum for her final blow, ‘but I am grateful for this amazing fight!’
Just as her victorious punch was about to make contact with Jetsam’s awaiting back, she felt herself freeze, involuntarily. Her arm was stuck in position, unable to move. She tried shifting her feet, but to no avail. Her whole body was frozen in place, like some sort of statue!
After a brief moment of panic, Michiko quickly realized what was happening. The tar. The tar Jetsam had been producing. He had mixed it with all the other pollutants as they fought, and as she was coated throughout the battle, the tar was turning thicker and thicker, until it encased her whole body into a stiff, immovable statue.
She struggled, trying to thrash her way out of the viscous black coffin, but to no avail. She could no longer continue fighting. She had lost.
The crowd burst into cheers and jeers as they realized that the match had been settled, the announcer calling out “AND THE WINNER IS, JETSAM KISA!”
As soon as the decision was announced, Michiko felt the tar slide off her body, like showering off a thick coating of muck, until only black stains remained on her body and clothing.
Jetsam sheepishly looked over at her, hand anxiously scratching at the back of his neck.
“So… that was really, really gross. I’m so sorry. But you were incredible! You almost had me so many times!!” Jetsam babbled out, getting more and more flustered as he continued. “I understand if you’re upset, but we promised we wouldn’t hold back and-”
“That was a great match! I had such a good time, and you really tested out my limits!” Michiko interrupted, smiled brightly at him as she held out her hand for him to shake. “But I’m warning you, next time I’ll be the one to come out on top!”
Jetsam smiled softly as he took her hand and reciprocated the shake.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

He Admits His Feelings -Akatsuki
Pein: Pein was stumped. There you were, as beautiful as usual and smiling at something he said and he was sure you just asked him something but the blank space that was once his brain refused to cooperate. He opened his mouth to answer but no sound occurred which caused a concerned look to come across your face. "Pein?" He opened his mouth again but only a sigh escaped as he stared at you. You made your way from your seat opposite him to lean against the desk next to his thigh. "Pein, talk to me." You rested your hand on his shoulder and leaned closer to him to let him know you were there for him. His eyes locked with yours and before he knew what was happening he was leaning closer to you. "Y/N," he whispered, "I need to tell you something." "Of course, go ahead." You leaned closer to him as well and made sure he had your full attention. The two of you had been so busy with work that you decided to take a day off which actually led to the both you ending up in his office anyway. You went out for lunch earlier but something had gone wrong with Kisame's mission so you both rushed back. "I was displeased with our interruption earlier." You felt relieved that it wasn't something more serious so you chuckled and said, "yeah, so was I." "I was especially displeased as I planned on telling you something rather important." Now you were curious, "and what's that?" "I-" He stopped short as you stared at him expectantly. His heart began to race and he thought he was going to go into cardiac arrest right then and there. "Pein, are you alright?"  Your expectant look was replaced by another concerned one. He pressed his fingers to his temple and moved ever closer to you. "I like you, Y/N, I like you very much." Your face flushed as you repeated his earlier actions by opening your mouth but emitting no sound. Pein's facial expression turned blank as he stared at you. Perhaps he shouldn't have said anything, but you could at least give him something in the form of words. "Pein," you breathed, "do you know how long I've been waiting for you to say that?" His eyes widened and you'd never seen Pein look so gobsmacked in your life. You grinned widely at your Leader and he soon pulled you onto his lap with glee. You snuggled into his side and you both got back to work.
Itachi: Unsurprisingly, the both of you were reading together but this time under a tree. You two were pressed against each other side-by-side engrossed in your books, at least you were. It wasn't until you felt Itachi shift for the 8th time in a row that you bookmarked your book and turned your attention to the Uchiha. "I'm sorry Y/N, I just cannot seem to get comfortable." Itachi shifted again to make his point but he wouldn't look at you as he spoke. His hair covered the side of his face so you couldn't see the bright blush on his face or his dilated pupils. He wanted to be the perfect gentleman for you but the thoughts that seemed to have consumed his mind recently were anything but gentlemanly. He wanted to move further from you without it being obvious but the more he thought about why he was moving away from you the more uncomfortable he got, thus making him shift more than 8 times. You chuckled and stated, "you're acting awfully weird today, Itachi." Your eyes returned to your book but you felt eyes on your face causing you to raise an eyebrow. You pretended to read as you waited for Itachi to say or do something. You hoped he wasn't in some sort or trouble, well, more trouble than usual. "Y/N?" You lifted your eyes to his with your eyebrow practically in your hairline. When you saw the serious glint in his eyes you shut your book and turned to face him completely. "I believe I am in love with you." "You believe you're..." You trailed off with your mouth open slightly. The look in his eyes told you he was completely truthful but the words that accompanied that look took you a minute to process. "Well, okay then," you smiled softly at him, "I suppose I can tell you 'I love you' now." Itachi smiled at you and cupped your cheek with his cold hand. You both pressed your foreheads together and simply basked in each others company. Kisame: You and Kisame had gone out for ice cream as the both of you had been craving the cold delicacy. It was Kisame's treat which made you smile. As usual there was a small blush on his face when he looked at you but the smile on your face made him never want to look away. "Hey Kisa?" He hummed in response, "do you think we're cute together?" He nearly dropped his ice cream. His eyes bugged out of his head as his blush increased. You said the statement so innocently he wasn't sure you knew what you asked him.
"W-well, s-s-sure. I mean, you're cute..."
You couldn't hide the grin from your lips as you turned to face him. You noted the blush on his face and giggled.
"You think I'm cute?"
He removed his eyes from you and stared at the blue sky. Why was he telling you this now? He'd kept his feelings from you for a while and made no plans to tell you, but, when you looked at him with that smile and those beautiful eyes... Well, he imitated a puddle of water.
"Kisa, are you alright?"
He jumped out of his skin as your hand landed on his back. He gulped and nodded, causing your smile to return.
"I'm-"
He stopped short and mentally prepared for what he was about to do. He looked at the floor and entwined your fingers through his. He played his your hands for a second, composing himself. His eyes soon met your curious ones and he pulled you closer to him.
"I do think we're cute together, I also think we'd be ten times cuter if we were an actual couple."
This time it was your eyes that bugged out of your head. You blinked wildly up at him but as he pressed his forehead against yours you felt at ease.
"Well then why don't you ask me on a date, Kisame?"
"I thought I already did?"
He smirked at you and all you could think was: 'you smooth fucker.'
Hidan:
It was surprisingly quiet in the hideout, meaning you and Hidan were either out or asleep. It was the former, but it most definitely not quiet. The two of you needed to let off some steam after a mission gone wrong, so you bith decided to do some training. The profanities that flew through the air were impressive. It was his turn to try and hit you but you were too quick on your feet, practically a blur as you ran through the trees. However, that grace soon ended when your foot caught on a knot in one of the branches and you lost your balance. In a panic, you grabbed Hidan's cloak to catch yourself but he went down with you.
You squeezed your eyes shut and waited impact. Your cloak fluttered around you and Hidan's arm was suddenly around you. The two of you twisted and you soon felt the hard thud of hitting the ground but.... you opened your eyes to see Hidan beneath you. Your eyes widened as you stared down at the immortal. He groaned underneath you and opened his eyes to fix you with a glare. You only sat there with your eyes wide and hands pressed against his chest.
"Wh-"
He continued to glare as you attempted to ask him the numerous questions running through your mind. He rolled his eyes and thudded his head back against the ground with another groan.
"Hidan... What the hell were you thinking?!"
He stared up at the treeline but answered, "I wasn't fucking thinking." You went to ask him what he meant when he continued, "I saw you fall and then I was fucking falling with you but all I could think about was how you were fucking going to hit the ground and get fucking hurt. It's not like I wanted that to  happen, so I fucking improvised."
You smiled down at him and pressed your hands in the dirt next to his face. Your face hovered over his, forcing him to look in your eyes.
"You didn't want me to get hurt?"
"Shut the fuck up."
His face flared as he avoided eye contact. In an act of bravery you kissed his nose and made an attempt to get up. In a flash his arms tightened around your body and his face was pressed in the crook of your neck.
"I fucking love you, okay?"
You couldn't help the grin that took over as you heard those words.
"Well you already know I'm in love with you so there's no point in me saying it again," Hidan fell back, his eyes filled with shock and confusion, "who did you think I was talking about that night?"
It took Hidan a moment to process what you said and before you knew what was happening he was laughing and smiling up at you.
Kakuzu:
You and Kakuzu just captured a large bounty after a couple of days of tracking her across the Land of Fire. You were both pleased with your job and made your way inside the BCO. You both sauntered in and Kakuzu placed the body on the counter. You looked smug enough for the both of you but you knew Kakuzu had a smirk beneath his mask.
The receptionist looked at the two of you and rolled his eyes. He checked the body and its identity before putting it in the back.
He retured with the money which Kakuzu counted with ease. His smirk fell as he double-checked the amount.
"This is not the agreed amount."
The man shrugged and returned to his desk so you took the money from Kakuzu to count it yourself and scowled when you found your partner to be correct. You stomped over to the receptionist and slammed the money where the body had been.
"We want the correct amount, either you miscounted or you're trying to rob us of our money; I seriously hope it's the former."
He shrugged again, not looking at you as he flipped through the bingo book. You growled and hauled yourself onto the counter and grbbaed his shirt collar. His eyes held fear as you practically glared into his soul.
"Either you give us the rest of the money or I'll tear off your balls and feed them to you."
He frantically nodded and scurried away once you let him go. He returned seconds later with the remaining money and both you and Kakuzu made your way outside.
"I love you you know."
Kakuzu said it so casually that he was confused when you stopped in your tracks. You were staring at him incrediously but he shrugged it off and continued walking, knowing youwould follow eventually.
"Hey!" You ran up next to him, "did you mean what you said?"
"I have no reason to lie, Y/N."
You nodded, shoved your hands in your pocket and said, "Good, because I love you too."
Sasori:
It was rare that Sasori emerged from his workshop on his day off but that morning he decided it would be nice to have breakfast with you, a fact you were not aware of so when you walked into Sasori's room yawning, you were surprised not to see him in there. You lazily walked around the hideout looking for the red head but found no sign of him... Until you reached the kitchen. His back faced you and his sweats hung low on his hips and for some reason he was shirtless. You assumed there was nobody else in the hideout, either that or Sasori had gone absolutely crazy.
"Sasori?"
He slowly turned his head to face you and locked eyes. You sent him a sleepy grin and walked to where he stood.
"You look cute when you have just woken up."
You flushed at his words but smiled. You peeked over his shoulder to see a couple of pancakes being cooked. Suddenly, you realised just how hungry you were but kept your mouth shut as you watched him flip each pancake in turn. You hesitantly pressed your chin to his shoulder, causing him to tense under your touch. You practically bolted from his body and flushed a deep red.
"What are you doing, Y/N?"
You attempted to stutter out a response but only air puffed out. You weren't quite sure where to look so you settled on your slipper-clad feet with a pout. Sasori was then in front of you, his bare feet toe-toe with you. A moment passed before he lifted your chin to look at him.
"You don't have to be afraid to touch me, Y/N. With the way I feel about you I enjoy your touch very much."
It took you a minute to catch up with what he said and once you did, your eyes widened considerably. You lifted your hand to sheepishly touch his cheek which caused him to grace you with a small smile.
"Well I'll be damned," you giggled, "I thought I would have been the first one to admit how I felt."
It was Sasori's turn to look shocked which only made you giggle more.
Deidara:
You and Deidara barely argued, a few disagreements maybe, but never full blown yelling matches. However, what was supposed to be a quick mission turned into the two of you standing at a crossroads screaming at each other over one thing: who left the pack full of food back at the campsite??
"You cannot seriously be blaming me?!" You screeched.
"Well it wasn't my pack to look after, un."
You folded your arms across your chest and turned your head to the side. The indignant look on your face said it all but it was Deidara's fault that you had forgotten the pack. One of his explosions had gone ary causing 90% of his shirt to be burned away thus leaving the blonde practically shirtless. That then lead to your flustered state and therefore you forgetting the pack... You weren't going to tell him that though.
"You forgot it, un, you can go back and get it,un!"
You sent him a simple, "no," and started walking back to the hideout.
Deidara groaned and trudged after you. You felt his eyes on the back of your head and you resist the urge to turn around and confront him.
"Remind me why I love you, un."
With wide eyes you whirled around and stopped his walking form with a hand to his chest.
"What did you just say?"
Deidara puffed out his chest and flushed a bright red.
"Pfft, I didn't say anything,un."
"Dei," you drew out his name as you locked eyes with his.
"I-I-I love you, un."
You flushed at his confession but entwined your hand with his and smiled up at him.
"I love you too, Dei."
Tobi:
You knew it was dangerous, the mission just seemed too good to be true and you were beyond pissed at yourself for not realising that sooner. The orange-masked man lay in your arms, his breathing shallow and blood soaking through his shirt.
"Tobi don't you dare die on me."
Your hands were pressed down on his wound, doing your best to stop the bleeding. Tears streamed down your face but you paid them no mind as you struggled to keep the blood in its place.
"Y/N-chan," Tobi coughed, "p-please don't cry."
"How can you ask me that when your bleeding out?!"
You were becoming hysterical but you didn't care. The man you cared for was going to die in your arms as you waited for the damned backup you called for moments ago.
"Y/N..."
Tobi's hand cupped your cheek as you continued to cry. Your breathing practically mirrored his as you felt the panic bubble in your chest.
"I hate seeing you cry, Y/N."
You tried to laugh for his sake but it only came out as a choked sob.
"Is this where we confess our undying love for each other?"
Tobi chuckled beneath you which ended in a body-wracking cough. You pressed harder onto his wound but breathed a sigh of relief as you heard Deidara's voice calling your name. You called back to him and grinned down at the masked man.
"Tobi loves you, Y/N."
You blinked down at him, and laughed loudly, your chest lighter than it had been. You kissed the top of his mask and breathed another sigh.
"I love you too Tobi."
Zetsu:
You smiled to yourself as you basked in the sunlight. You accompanied Zetsu as he tended his garden so you sat at the edge of said garden. Your head was tilted back, your hair hanging behind you, the heat from the sun making your cheeks warm.
"Isn't she beautiful?"
"Yeah, she's fucking hot."
You chuckled to yourself; you were genuinely surprised he had not learned that you could often hear the conversations he had with himself. You blew out air as you continued to listen to him have what seemed to be a pleasant conversation.
"Do you think we should tell her?"
"Tell her what?"
You could practically hear white-Zetsu roll his eyes.
"Tell her that we love her of course."
Your entire body tensed and your eyes flew open. He didn't seem to notice as he debated telling you such vital information. You pulled at the grass beneath you as you sat forward. He loved you? You couldn't help but grin.
"Y/N?"
You looked up to find Zetsu blocking the sunshine and looking at you with his head tilted to the side. You copied his action and allowed him to pull you to your feet.
"We want to tell you something."
"For the record I think this is a piss-poor idea."
"WE just wanted to tell you that..." He trailed off, waiting for his black side to fill in the blank and by the mildly nervous look on his face you knew it was a big deal.
"Love.... You."
You grinned wildly and flung your arms around him as best you could with his flytrap. He hugged you back, a large grin on both side's faces.
"I thought you were going to keep that all to yourself," you giggled.
He pulled back and looked at you with wide eyes.
"You knew?"
You shrugged and smirked at him.

---------------------------------------------------
So,this was the end of my career as an Iwagakure ANBU captain.Damn me,with my empathy and compassion...I guess I just might not really be cut out for this Shinobi world. But it's fine.I can survive on my own too.I'm a Poison master and a survivor.Captain Nami on duty...
And I'm a Fox,for Kami's sake.A medical fox.I should be fine on my own.I hope...
~~ Day 5 --
Dear diary. What the fuck have I been doing?Did I really think it'll be okay to stay by myself in a forest, when the Tsuchikage apparently ordered my demise? Godamn you,traitor... Well,I have to run for my life.Ja ne~
--
----
This past months I've been getting along quite well with the guys, especially with Deidara,Kisame and Itachi. Missions were easy peasy lemon squeezy, and as for my medical ninjutsu?Nothing big came up.These guys are pros, after all. That was, until this next mission... Leader-sama paired me up with Kisame to go to the Land of Water to find some important feudal people and assassinate them. Easy enough, right?
Wrong.
-
It's great that Kisame is in his element, having the ground advantage,so it didn't matter me being unfamiliar with these places. And it's great that the Shinobi Village of Kirigakure and the Feudal lords have nothing to o with each other,so they can't really interfere. Assassinating them was piece of cake.Kisame was the tank, staying in front, fighting them effortlessly, while I stayed in the trees, shooting poison needles at them. We make quite a great team, right! As we made our escape,we were cornered by countless Kirigakure ANBU and surprisingly, even the Yondaime Mizukage,Yagura the Sanbi Jinchuriki was here. Well...we're screwed. Kisame even had to transform in his Shark form, but again, since I wasn't stealthed and couldn't go into hiding to start throwing the poison needles,it was difficult for me to fight properly.I'm not strong at taijutsu...but I guess I could work something out. I started punching the ones approaching me,sending them into trees.Maybe they didn't die,but they surely won't wake up too soon.Slice and dice, slice and dice, throw kunais, stab with needles,Kisame is quite exhausted as well,Yagura is in his Version 2,being able to control Isobu the Sanbi Bijuu.Well, that's remarkable,I agree, but NOT IN THIS SITUATION! Okay,Kisame is gravely wounded and Samehada was thrown away. I ran to it,use the Teleportation Jutsu on it,putting it in my utility scroll, despite it attacking me for not being his rightful owner, and summon 15 shadow clones, making them blow themselves up with the explosives bombs that Deidara gave me,in case of danger.Guess he was right, for once. And I might not be too strong ,but in the confusion and smoke,I managed to punch away the Mizukage and drag Kisame away from the battle, leaving the Land of Water for good. But he was unconscious and fatally wounded,so I had to retort to my medical ninjutsu right away. I made a small table to put him on it,grabbed my utility scroll,to get the instruments, and started the operation. It requires a shit ton of chakra, but I will be fine.I have to be,so I can save him. Increase cellular regeneration, use the scalpel, send regular waves of chakra to his chakra points and nervous system, make sure his heart beats regularly, take the poison out of his system, purify the blood, treat the major gashes, check for any possible internal or external hemorrhage, any possible organ alteration or injury, treat the minor scars and bruises, hydrate him as much as possible.I hope taking in account that he has both mammal and fish characteristics was the good thing to do. Gosh...I'm drained of my chakra...this was a lot to do...hours of procedures and tons of chakra drained...but he is waking up.He will be okay... I got the food and water containers from my utility scroll and help him eat and drink a bit. Kisame:What happened? me:Dont force yourself to talk.It might strain the muscles... Kisame:I am fine, thank you,Nami-san. me:Well...they might be strong, but they aren't too smart... Kisame:You got us away from them? me:Yeah...for a while...I guess using countless of confusing decoys really paid off. Kisame:You're a smart fox.Thank you for saving me. me:Any time. Kisame:W-wait a secon...my...my Samehada...I lost it on the battleground...it was taken by them... me:Don't worry,Kisame.I have it.I will give it back when we get to the HQ,okay?Until then, can you walk? Kisame:Thank you,Nami.I owe you. me:Nah,don't fret.I care about you.You are my friend.I would never leave a friend die. Kisame:You really have a precious heart... me:*chuckles*So I've been told... I helped him get up,and surprisingly,he is strong enough, despite just having recovered. He truly has an amazing body... On the other hand, the lack of chakra was taking its toll on me,and while I was trying to walk,I could only hear a faint voice, see black, and lose consciousness,as I hit the hard ground.
---
-?-:She will be fine. She just overused her chakra, that's all.Rest will help her recover. Kakuzu...? -?-:Why didn't you take care of her,um?! Deidara...! -?-:Because...she took care of me... Kisa...me...?! Dei:What do you mean? Kisame:We were ambushed by the ANBU and the Mizukage himself. You know very well she isn't as skilled in close range combat. She is a stealth specialist, while I'm the only one with sword and combat skills. Kakuzu:He is right. There is nobody to blame. No one could expect the Mizukage himself to attack. Kisame:I am sorry,Deidara.I did not mean for Nami to get hurt.. Dei:*sighs* Yeah,I know,I know, sorry.I just hate seeing her like this. Kakuzu:She wasn't hurt, she just overused her chakra. No big deal.Let her rest for now. Dei:Fine... After hearing the door shut,I felt my hand being taken in someone else's,and then a sigh.It was Kisame. Kisame:I doubt you can hear me,but I just want to apologize for not being strong enough, and for having to look after me,even while your life was being endangered.I have to become much....much stronger to be able to look after you...to protect you fro harm's way.And that is just what I will do...everyday....every night...because...Nami...I...care for you.I...never would have imagined that...someone like me...a...monster...like me...could ever deserve such love and compassion from an angel like you.Never has it crossed my mind that I will have someone as perfect as you take care of me,an even risk her own life, for my worthless one.I believed,my whole life,to be a heartless killing machine, capable of no warm emotions. But after all, every Yin has its Yang...and I...Nami...I...love you.And I swear to protect you with everything I have, from now on. And with that,he kissed my hand and left the room quietly.Oh,Kisame...if only I would have been more aware of your real feeling for me,I'd have told you before of my own feelings.
--
A week later,at night,I saw that Kisame hasn't come to dinner.Or any meal today, for what matters. With a sigh,I excused myself and got the dish, going out to bring Kisame some food.He needs a lot of nutriments for his metabolism. He is a big guy, after all. He was outside, training in the rain. me:Bet you love this kind of weather. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't eat the whole day. Kisame:I am quite busy,I apologize.I must- me:Train more.Yeah,I know. But I also know that you must eat as well,in order to get strong. Kisame:I am fine. Please,do not disturb my training. me:I am a medical nin, don't go against my knowledge. Kisame:I did not mean to- me:Kisame.Listen to me.Stay down and eat. Kisame:*sighs*Thank you,Nami-san... I smile as he sat down to eat, breathing heavily too,and finished in a matter of seconds. Kisame:Thank you for the meal. me:Don't sweat it. Kisame:Now,if you do not mind,I will go back to- me:Kisame. Kisame:Yes? His back was facing me,while he was staring absently into the cloudy grey sky. I went in front of him and stood on my tippy toes, trying to reach him.I put my hands on his face, cupping it,making him look me straight in the eyes.He tried to look tough and emotionless, but sorrow was clouding his eyes. me:Kisame. You worry me. Kisame:I am sorry,Nami-san. me:Please...Kisame...I...understand your sorrow.Being shunned for being and looking different.People fearing you.Your own village shunning you for doing what was best for the mission.Being...different in general.But...Kisame...I...heard what you said.Back then, when I was resting after the chakra overuse. His eyes went wide with shock and a tint of purple on his cheekbones. Was he...blushing? me:Kisame...are you...blushing? He turned around fast and jumped away.So that's how you want to play, huh?Fine.Be that way. I conceal my chakra and shot off after him, until I see him and the same river where we met, standing on a rock, with his feet dangling in the water. I jump from the tree and land on the water, right in front of him. me:Don't think you can win at Hide and Seek with me. He looked down with a sad chuckle. Kisame:You were not supposed to hear what I said that day.You are going to be afraid and start being cold. You will not notice the subtle hints anymore. You might distance yourself and stay with your friends more, leaving me alone again. You will fake your nice act, because you are a kind person, but it will be see-through.And...I could not bare to see that happening...You..Nami-san...are my weakness. me:That won't ever happen. And want to know why? Kisame:...why? me:Because I love you,Kisame. Kisame:*shocked*Wh-what....? me:Love isn't a weakness,Kisame.Love and compassion is what makes us stronger. The desire to protect the ones we love.The...power to move on and keep on going...that is...all thanks to love. And Kisame, you aren't my weakness. You are my strength.I saved you that day, because I couldn't ever imagine my life without you in it.Kisame...I love you. And with that,I put my hands on his face and kiss him softly, then put my forehead on his, gazing into his eyes with a warm loving look. me:Don't be afraid of your emotions,Kisame. You are capable of feeling positive emotions too.You are not a monster. You are like me.You're a good person.Kind,compassionate,loyal,brave,strong...You just hide them, because that's the standard of a shinobi.Cold.You do a great job, putting walls around you.But I'm a destroyer.Don't forget that the weird bomber is my best friend.Ahem,regardless... As I look away to smile,Kisame took the opportunity to hug me tightly, putting his chin on my head. Kisame:Thank you,Nami-chan.You are right.Thank you,for showing me that I am not the monster I always thought I was. With that,we stayed in silence, hugging each other, letting the pouring rain fall, creating a wonderful musical harmony that soothed our senses.Kisame...I love you.
--
Despite telling him not to beat himself up for me saving him that day,he still hasn't given up his extreme training. At least, this time,I'm always there to make sure he doesn't mistreat himself as he used to.Getting weaker while striving for strength is quite ironic and disappointing, yet possible,if you manage to look over the bodily needs.Oh well. All was well so far. That is,until I was assigned on a solo mission. As for my skill level,it was merely espionage and assassination.A simple biodegradable needle filled with lethal poison that will insta-kill you should be enough to cover my tracks. And the poison in his body won't even be detectable.Isn't that just great? Captain Nami on duty! Just before I left,Kisame kissed my head an hugged me tightly, telling me to be careful. How sweet of him...When he should be taking care of himself.
---
Armed and ready. The target was located.I concealed my chakra all good when I entered the Country of Fire.I really love this kind of environment...so easy to hide...stealthy...sneaky...silent assassinations...so many trees and leaves... Kage Bunshin no Jutsu! Just in case of needing a diversion. To confuse the target. But they can't all look like me...I'll make them look like the Akatsuki members,so the target will be intimidated. *swoosh* The needle finds its way in the neck of the target. He widens his eyes, then falls on the ground, looking dead. That's gotta sting hehe... Just as I smirked and was preparing my poison set,so I could get home,I heard a maniac laugh coming from underneath me,and I saw him.The target that was supposed to be dead. He took the needle from his neck, then jumped to my level, and dropped it in my hand,as I watched him shocked. That particular poison was made with both my and Sasori's forbidden village secrets. He was NOT supposed to be alive.But...how? guy:Nice trick, but we were prepared for an Akatsuki attack, and we got prepared for a Cheap Shot like this.We knew it was going to be you to come,so we made an army full of poison resistant highly-skilled shinobi to kill you.You also have a reaaaaally nice bounty on your head.To think though that the Akatsuki would let such a little, precious member of their organization go on such a difficult mission on her own.Or did they send you solo on purpose?Or perhaps...A suicide mission?
I'm not one to talk much, but I kicked the guy in the face, and started jump-running on all 4s out of there as fast as I could.I wasn't a kitsune for nothing, after all.Swiftly now! The only problem with this kind of fleeing,is that I am fast, but it's a blind race.Meaning that my eyes cannot pay attention to all their surroundings...and I might get ambushed easily. I hoped for the best, but the best wasn't for me to receive,as I felt myself falling on the ground, after a punch in the face from an Otogakure bastard.Godamn,he sure can pack a punch...My nose is bleeding...ouchie... If only I could get away from here...somehow... But I doubt that will happen, since there are way too many Otogakure bastards surrounding me right now.In one word... I'm totally screwed. They started chuckling, and one after another, started using their sound wave jutsus to mess with my senses. My balance was a mess and couldn't stand up,the vibrations were ringing in my head, scrambling my brain...it hurts so much,I can't even think. What can I do to get out of this... This torture is so bad, that tears welled up in my eyes, and I started burying myself in the crater that I formed upon falling, trying to act like a mole would, but with no avail. They kept dragging me by the scruff of my shirt, using the sound waves as a torture method,as they kept laughing at my weakness and vulnerability.I'd laugh at it too,if only I wasn't so frustrated and burning with anger at my own self-pity and uselessness and worthlessness in the organization and the world itself. No wonder the Tsuchikage sent me away.No wonder Leader sent me on this kind of mission. I was useless and had to be disposed of faster than trash. My thoughts of  Self-deprecation continued as I was still being held down while squirming to get out of their grip and flee the scene, when I thought... I have a needle with fake poison in it.Combining it with my coma state like Kekkei Genkai,it will be easy to act dead...if they don't know about it...and if they don't continue to belittle my own corpse...
I started screaming louder, whilst managing to free my right hand from their grip, and I took out the fake poison needle from my belt and shoved it into my neck and activating my Kekkey Genkai at the same time. And with that,I was left hoping for the best outcome.
===
Light... Am I...dead? Did my plan not work? The afterlife actually exists? What about Kisame and the others? Are they okay? Do they know that I died? Will they be okay? Those were the countless questions I was asking myself, until an annoyed voice could be heard behind me.The author of this voice was...well...actually me myself. Well obviously they will be okay without you! They can easily find someone so much better than you! Yeah...I know...No need to remind me,stupid self. You were asking a shit ton of useless rethorical questions. This is not a book,so the reader won't be able to answer to in their mind. It's your own consciousness.Use it for once, dammit. You are way too much of a bitch to want to be this hopeless as to actually talk to you. Then what about your lovy dovy sharky boy?Don't you miss him? What about Kisame? It's doubtless that I miss him and want to check up on him.Why ask? Why don't you check for yourself then? I can do that? Yes,you idiot!Jeez,I never knew my own self was so dumb... Shut up!I didn't know you could look after someone while being dead! Well...maybe you see...because...YOU ARE NOT DEAD?! I'm...not?!But...how?!I-I thought... *facepalms*Just...wake up...and get the hell out of here.I dealt with your idiocy enough... Screw you...
And with that,I managed to slowly flutter my eyes open, trying to get a better idea of my living position at that moment. I was in a familiar blue room that seemed to strike a certain nostalgia in my brain. Why?Because this was Kisame's room. But why am I in his room? How did I get to the HQ? Suddenly, the room opened, and many concerned voices could be heard. Dei:You sent her ALONE on a mission to kill Orochimaru?!Are you mad, yeah?! Pein:We were not aware of that detail of the mission. Dei:Detail?!DETAIL?!It cost Nami her life! Sasori:Shut up,brat. That isn't true. She's alive. Dei:What do you mean,Danna? Sasori:Kisame found her with her own poisoned needle in her neck, but while researching that certain poison,I realized that it was not,in fact,poison.Just...grape juice... Konan:Why would she do that, then? If she wasn't poisoned, then why was she in that that catatonic state? Itachi:Kekkei...Genkai.... Kisame:Itachi-san?You know of her clan's Kekkei Genkai? Itachi:*nods*It allows her to enter in a coma state, shutting of any vital system while at it.She cannot die from it,obviously. Dei:How do you know that,um? Itachi:I do my research. Tobi:Tobi thinks Nami-chan was lucky that Kisame-san found her and saved her.Poor Nami-chan!!!*whines* Dei:Shut up,Tobi! Those bastards messed with her hearing sense enough! You don't have to add up to it,yeah! Kakuzu:It would seem that you are just as noisy. Leader:I know I am at fault for this mission incident, but we are going to track down the requester and hunt him down. Dei:This calls for revenge!Yeah! Sasori:Shut up,brat.Let's get out of here. She needs rest, not noise. Konan:Sasori is right.Although,I believe that Kisame should remain in here. They all nodded in agreement and slowly made their way out of the room, and I heard a loud, aggravated sighs. It was Kisame. Kisa:An once again,I fail to protect you.How could I let something like this happen?!What if you died?Or lost your hearing completely?Or were captured?Or...or...Saint Same-Sama,I do not want to ever imagine those possible apocalyptic scenarios... me:Kisa...You're such a drama queen...with that...sophisticated....vocabulary... Kisa:Nami...!You are awake... me:*smirks*Bad time to be awake?I could pretend to be asleep, while you continue your lovely monologue. Kisa:D-don't do that again... me:It was really sweet though...But you are right...I'm really surprised I don't actually have any kind of injury or long-term trauma from that...incident... Kisa:*sighs*I should have come after you as soon as you left...I knew something was wrong...I could somehow...feel it...the...the terrible malicious evil vibe that I felt while you were away....My heart felt like it were held too tightly...almost squashed...I knew something bad was going to happen to you...and yet... me:You saved me,Kisa-kun. Kisa:E-eh..? me:Tell me,how did I get here? Kisa:I...went after you...Itachi-san conviced me to follow what my heart was screaming for and go in search of you...He thought the mission seemed quite fishy and wanted to make sure you were safe... me:*chuckle*Nice pun there... Kisa:Nami! Please do not laugh at a time like this!I was worried sick and guilty beyond measure! me:I'm sorry,Kisa. But I do appreciate you saving me from those bastards.I do appreciate everything you've one for me thus far,and even more.I love how you are so sweet and kind when it comes to me...How you truly show that you love me with all your heart...looking after me when nobody else did... Kisa:That is the sole purpose of my existence,Nami. To know that you are safe, with me. me:Oh,Kisa-kun....If you continue this lachrymatory speach,I swear I might shed more tears. Kisa:No no no no no!Please do not let your soft cheeks be hosts to the rivers of tears...not anymore...not while I am around. me:You have no idea how much I love you,my dear Shakespearian poet.Thank you for saving me,Kisame. Both from those ninjas, and from the darkness within. Kisa:Do not ever thank me for protecting you,for that is...ahem...*fain blush*what a boyfriend does. My eyes widened in shock at his words as I stared at him with sparkly eyes.He never said 'boyfriend' or 'girlfriend' before. This was a huge step. me:M-my boyfriend...Kisame...You are my boyfriend...YOU ARE SO SWEET,GODAMN IT! Kisa:*scratches his hair**looks away*Ehe...is that so... me:Yes.It is quite so. Kisa:Well,I doubt the taste of fish is any sweet, actually.Either that,or your taste buds have been messed up with. me:Why don't you let me decide that? Kisa:H-huh?How? me:Like this-- In a blink of an eye,I was in front of him, standing on his feet, kissing him softly while my hands were in his hair.I could feel his smile, while deepening the kiss,as his hands snaked around my waste, putting me closer to him, supporting me.Standing like this, chest to chest, forehead to forehead, looking at each others eyes or sharing a passional kiss filled with love and sparks,is what I was thoroughly thrilled to have in my life.My life that I am going to spend with Kisame. All of a sudden though I coul feel something hard poking my abdomen and I muttered his name while biting my lip, then looking down,my eyes were wide in shock, and I jumped back on the bed in surprise at what I saw.
....
Samehada broke out of its bandage-prison and made its way between me and Kisame, looking all spiky and scary.I was being intimidated by the scaley sword that was 'threatening' me,as Kisame's body shook with mirth, looking at my blushing-frightened expression. Kisame:Seems like someone is quite jealous of our lovely relationship.Do not worry,Samehada.I will not neglect you.But I do have a lover now. The sword slowly made its scales smoothen while looking...depressed and deflated, and went back in the closet. me:Wh-what...did just...w-why...b-but...u-uh... Kisame:*chuckle*I must admit,I have not laughed like this in quite a while.Seeing Samehada jealous like that... me:That was indeed weird... Kisame:Why did you get so scared like that though? me:It was a real jumpscare,Kisame!Don't laugh! Kisame:*grin*It was just my sword! me:I wasn't paying attention and it kept poking my abdomen! It was freaky! Kisame:What did you think it was,Nami? me:U-uh...I...w-well...ermh...d-dunno!Kisame,don't ask such silly qustions! He chuckle darkly while smirking with a glint in his eye that I never got the chance to experience before.Just as I thought that,I found myself pinned on the bed, with a smug-faced smirking Kisame dangerously close to my burning red face. me:K-K-KISAME!WH-WHAT DO Y-YOU THINK YOU'RE D-DOING?! Kisame:*puts his finger to my lips*Do not make such a ruckus,or the others might storm back. me:B-b-b-ut....K-kisa...me... Kisame:*whispers*What did you think it was,Nami-chan~? me:...N-nothing... Kisame:Such innocence...I might actually feel bad for tainting it... me:Wh-what d-do y-you mean...? Kisame:Shh...Just enjoy this night...like it is our last... me:Kisa...me...I love you...
