Sometimes I wonder what exactly Michael meant by "I put her back together just like you asked me to" because really in what way did he even do that. Does he consider Elizabeth combining her robot with a bunch of other robots and using him as a skin suit to escape the facility to be "putting her back together"? And then he says "she's free now" like dude do you define free as escaped into the sewers and just roaming around as a robot monstrosity? And what exactly did William ask him to do? "Hey Mike can you go get a job at the company I run so you can save your robot sister please." Like how the hell did that conversation go.

The pain lingers, settling in against him, blurring the edges of his thoughts, the stuttered apology not quite reaching his ears. He closes his eyes and exhales roughly.

The weight of it presses down on them both.

Much later, Maksym traces the knot of scar tissue, silver now and feels the same flinch of before, the ghost of an older pain.

Trying to work on the next chapter of my Drust AU, ‘ In Pursuit’. The mix between wonder, plot, and spooky fey based horror is fun but sometimes difficult to maintain.

No updates yet, but I hadn’t posted this one to tumblr yet, so now it’s in the ether.

And I know, I know the slow burn is killing me too- and I’m in control ( supposedly).
