“Mhm-mhm. Thanks Luffy.” You hummed, ruffling the boy's hair as he chuckled, eyes still on you, head tilted to the side, the big smile on his face slowly fading away.

“..So? Y/n, what else you gonna say?” He muttered, scratching the back of his head as you shrugged, walking away from him with a cheeky grin.

“Hey, wait! You're supposed to say “I love you too”! Right, Usopp!? They're supposed to say that!!” He grumbled to his friend who sweat-dropped, just nodding his head as Luffy caught up to you, getting you to spill an ilyt for him.

Staring you down in silence with his red eyes squinted at you, Hawkins then shrugged, walking off and continuing his work. Trying to ignore the fact that you didn't say ilyt.

He tried. He really did. But his curiosity got the best of him, so he ended up consulting his cards, revealing the truth—

Hey I have a story idea.We know that shanks calls luffy an anchor, but what if when he got drunk he kept talking about the "anchor" of the crew like yasoop talks about usoop,And if you asked one of the crew they would be like "yes there is the good old anchor" I like to think that pirates marines and pirate hunters all over the world are trying to steal the Shanks ship's anchor. And imagine everyone's reaction when not only do they discover that Anchor is a person but that he is actually Luffy, Shanks' adopted son.

Sorry it took me a bit to answer this I have been busy, but other than that YES! ORDER UP!!

It was my day off and I was hoping to have a nice relaxing day drinking at the bar, but nooooooo a fucking Yonko had to be there. Seemed like the Red hairs where drunk, especially they're captain. He kept going off about a anchor and how he missed him, why would he call his anchor a person? But what do I know I'm just a Marine captain.

Over time Red Hair Shanks posting about it anchor, seems like it's important. It was too the point that some bounty hunters heard about this and started to sneak off to try to steal the ships anchor.

I told the higher ups about this and they seem to want to join in on stealing the man's anchor for a ship. I don't know why apparently it was for leverage or something, along those lines.

The Red Haired pirates where confused by this whole fiasco. It wasn't cleared up intill the war of the best. He called STRAW HAT LUFFY anchor! Fire Fist Ace got away on the other Yonko's ship with Strawhat.

Apparently Red Hair Shanks and Strawhat Luffy have a father son relationship. So have Lucy ended up getting a raised bounty then originally planned.

Part 7 of the story. Straw hat finds shanks

Chapter 7: The Red haired Pirates alliance meets up

Whitebeard and his crew sat on the beach with the Red Haired pirates when Yassop yelled from a tree “I spotted the Straw Hats and Mihawk!!!They’re headed this way now”. “It’s about time, I hate to think what they are doing to Shanks right now” impatiently exclaimed Ace. Just at that moment, Luffy jumped off the ship screaming Ace’s name and jumped in his arms giving him a huge hug. “Ace, I missed you so much. How have you been? What have you been up to?” asked Luffly excitedly. “Honestly not much, but we can catch up later, we have more dire issues right now.” exclaimed Ace. 

At that moment they received a call on the transponder snail “I was wondering how long it would take you guys to get here and try to save Shanks. Don’t worry we will hand him over to you no struggle Bahahahaha” bellowed Blackbeard with Kaido being heard in the background. 

“Where is Shanks, Put him on now” yelled Luffy “I don’t think he will be able to answer right now, he’s a little preoccupied bahahahaha” laughed Kaido putting the phone near Shanks “Do it” said Kaido. “What is he tal-” “AAAAAAHHHHHHH GGGGUUUUUHHHHHH” bellowed Shanks in agony and pain. “SHANKS!!!!!!” Screamed everyone all at once after hearing a series of blows. 

“What did you do to him!!!” angrily exclaimed Luffy with Whitebeard fuming beside him. “Oh don’t worry, you will soon find out what we did to the Red Dragon Yonkou. Come and get your boy, we will be waiting bahahahahaha” click. “We need to go now. Hongo, Chopper, Luffy, Ace, Law, Robin and Nami come with me. The rest of you stay back and wait for us. Jinbe, Marco be ready in case anything happens. Yassop, Ussop be long range in case we need support fire” said Beckman “Right!!” yelled everyone as they took off towards the island on the Thousand Sunny.

They arrive at the dock with no problem and no sign of anyone nearby. “I don’t like this very much. It’s too quiet and where is everyone? " said Ace looking around at the scrap metal everywhere. “I have no idea but keep your eyes peeled for anything” cautiously exclaimed Nami feeling a bit uneasy. Just as they said that a black mass in the sky appeared and Kaido, and Blackbeard appeared holding a badly beaten Shanks covered in blood barely breathing from the looks of it by the throat. 

Everyone looked frozen in horror at the Beaten red haired Yonkou not believing what they saw. He had deep cups and holes all over his body, his shirt and shash were gone and every part of his upper body was badly bruised and cut up. His face was covered in fresh blood and they could hear the light wheezing coming from the red dragon. 

“SHANKS!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOO YOU CAN’T DIE!!!! NOT NOW!!!!” screamed Luffy and Ace at the same time “Bahahahaha, you can have him, but first a little magic trick with the God Devil Fruits bahahahaha” bellowed Blackbeard as Burgess showed up with 4 fruits glowing blue, white, black, gold and green. “What the hell are those?” said Beckman. Meanwhile everyone else watched from the ships not far and Whitebeard gasped at the sight of the fruits. “He can’t, They will tear him apart and kill him!!!” exclaimed Whitebeard.

They all watched in horror as Kaido held Shanks spread eagle in the air while Blackbeard put all 4 fruits up the man’s chest. Everyone watched as the fruits started to fuse themselves into the red haired man’s chest “What the…” said Luffy frozen in shock and fear. “AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH” was all they heard as a blood curdling scream ripped through the air sending chills through everyone. “SHANKS!!!” screamed Beckman and Luffy seeing as it came from him. Everyone looked up to see Shank’s head thrown back, jaw open in a silent scream, eyes rolled in the back of his head and body convulsing in pain as nothing came from his mouth.

Usopp asking zoro about girls and him being like "I'm the wrong guy to ask" and then usopp being like "well would YOU like me if u were kaya??" And then Luffy "well I like u" and usopp like nooooooo not in that way idk they're all so cute they're just hangin in the kitchen talking about girls. Usopp picked the worst guys to ask for advice from tho rip

Koby quickly reunites with the group, leading to Grus being jealous of Garp's 'future of the marines' comment, Kujaku wants them to have their moment

Confirmation that Tashigi's not a part of SWORD, which is a shame since the G-5 is as close to SWORD as the Navy can be

Hibari's on the ball though, noting that they're not out of the woods until they escape

As confirmed by the chapter title, Aokiji is indeed the 10th Captain of Blackbeard

The way he words things is interesting though, it's not 'I can't let you escape' it's 'it'll look bad if he escapes while Teach is away'

Oda is playing that fine line of 'is he or isn't he?'

We flash back to Aokiji joining Blackbeard, a year after the Punk Hazard fight

Aokiji iced Wolf and Teach's men near a bar, where he's having a drink - insistent that Wolf and co started it

And instead of a brawl it's just a merry feast roasting Akainu

Still, would've given Aokiji more credit if Akainu lost a limb, being 'banged up' doesn't really have the same level of impact as losing a leg

The Man Marked by Flames is mentioned again, it seems they think he might have the final Poneglyph

Of course, Teach doesn't know one is in Zou

According to Lafitte though the Man Marked by Flames sails a ship of pitch black, and may have a whirlpool fruit

Tbf yeah I wouldn't have put it past the WG to have had a Poneglyph to keep the One Piece out of reach, but Aokiji notes he never saw one to Shiryu

Some lamenting about Ohara too from Kuzan

Lafitte made the mistake though of asking Teach in Kuzan's earshot whether they intend to take his fruit, so back on the icing

Teach however offers him to join

See, as bad as Blackbeard is, the way he sells thing seems much like how Luffy does it: just people with their agendas living how they feel, the difference mainly is the way people do things

Back in the present, Aokiji refuses Garp's demands to unfreeze Hibari and return to the marines

Aokiji questions if Garp can kill his first protege to save another

But Garp sends him into the ground again 'only weaklings lose their way'

Garp seems to have space-themed attack names, since this one was 'Blue hole'

I wouldn't say Kuzan is being 'weak' here though, even Garp resists the system they worked for, he's living on his own path now is all

And now back to team Law vs Blackbeard ('winners island' as it's called)

Teach didn't have to pile it on either, his first ship was literally a fucking raft

The Rocky Port people are in Fullalead still too, still without their hearts, I guess the WG are in no mood to return them

Just as Teach sets sights on Law's fruit, Bepo goes Su Long

I was spoiled on this yesterday unfortunately, but the design is good

He did it without a moon too, thanks to Chopper. Makes me sad again though because Carrot could've had this tool in her arsenal if she was in the crew

Law is carried away at sea by Bepo, sadly having to leave the rest of the crew behind - despite Law's objections

Bepo notes how they will survive, but I guess that means the remaining Heart Pirates get to hang out with Pudding

Forced to retreat, like Kid: the Heart Pirates were utterly defeated

Blackbeard stocks are going up again

With Aokiji in Fullalead too that means it's likely that Lafitte and/or Devon are in Egghead, but we have wrapped up the Winner's island incident.

Law losing was expected, him and Bepo getting away does mean that Law may play a role in Luffy's and Blackbeard's eventual clash. We will have to wonder further with Fullalead though if Koby escapes, I mean I don't think Kuzan can beat Garp but Shiryu, Vasco, and Pizarro haven't made a move (not to mention Moria and Perona haven't had a follow up), so until they get involved I can't say the ball is in SWORD's court. Perhaps like Law only some will escape, perhaps Koby, Helmeppo, Hibari and Tashigi get away while Garp, Grus and Kujaku are held (hero of marines, high ranking officer's granddaughter and a high ranking SWORD member).

With Aokiji I still feel like he's playing a bit of a long con, it's just that working with Blackbeard aligns with interest right now. The way Teach is with potential allies though shows the layers of the man, he's an asshole to Law and Luffy, villano numero uno, but to Aokiji he was a lot more palatable, reasonable and a little bit encouraging, the art of the salesman I suppose.

They didn't say a break next week, but Golden Week is approaching so we'll see if we'll follow up, I kinda expect us to go back to Egghead again but we very well may stick to Fullalead a little more, maybe Marejois with Kuma. Lot's of things are still happening, and a big incident in Egghead is still about to occur.

Luffy, regardless of situation, regardless of who asks, will always answer “Who (the hell) are you?” with “I’m Luffy. I’m going to be pirate king” Love that about him. Yes you are babe, you tell ‘em!!!

Him seeing Ulti come at him with a headbutt and he’s just like “BET.” and meets her headbutt with his own haki-d forehead. Reasonable person would’ve moved, or knock her away but of course not Luffy.

“THAT HURT!!!” Yeah I bet it fucking did, stupid! Luffy what happened to not making risky moves to save your energy for Kaido lmaoo

I love Yamato already oh my god what an entrance. What a first impression to make on Luffy. Striking Ulti with the same attack his father used and then immediately turning around going from intimidating AF to fanboying over Luffy in 2 seconds. “YOU’RE MUGIWARA NO LUFFY, AREN’T YOU?” Luffy extremely confused that his instinctive response of “Yes, it is.” kicks in as he just stares, trying to process- OHP!! HE’S BEEN SNATCHED! JUST GRABS LUFFY AND RUNS! Yamato Ily oh my god

Luffy just letting himself be carried as he continues to try to piece together what the fuck is happening lmaooo 

Episode 991-

Bless Robin and Jinbe being the only ones with restraint and actually keeping up the façade in face of the beast pirates, even while they’re getting ready to execute Momo.

HEART PIRATES SCREEN TIME AGAIN!!! Law is such a good captain. The way his confidence is reflected by his crew. His steadying hand on Hakugan  helming the ship, leaning in close as he guides him. Am I going to gush about every gesture, every action he makes with his crew? Absolutely. Yes. 

The blue eye effect as he activates room? STUNNING. I will never tire of Law using his abilities. It’s so fucking cool.

YESSSSS MARCO GANG ARRIVES!!! REUNION TIME ;;;;v;;;;; Oh my god this scene is beautiful I’m going to sob. The SNOW, Oda!? Bless. Thank you for giving the siblings the fucking best setting for their reunion scene. The Red Scabbards deserve the world. Also Marco is so good. I love one phoenix who hasn’t loss his smile after all that he’s been through. He’s such a sweetheart.

Luffy looking down so his hat covers his face when Yamato says Ace spoke of him a lot - I’M GONNA SOB! HIS EXPRESSION TIGHTENING AS HE TRIES NOT TO CRY NOOOOOOO OKAY I AM SOBBING NOW. 

Oh?! Law’s not going to join the samurai to take down Kaido? Huh! Okay! I wonder if he’s just going to give them their chance to take him down first since this is for their revenge. Law knows about revenge. He is not one against getting vengeance in the least bit. I could believe he wants to let them have the first chance at killing him. This is important to them. He’s there for support if they need it and to keep the plan going.... as smooth as it can gjkslfgf

Oof, Izou didn’t know till now that Kanjuro betrayed them ;;; Him still complimenting Kanjuro even in the face of betrayal, saying how skilled his drawings are. But he knows that while he was ‘on their side’ his drawings were awful. He’s got to be realizing Kanjuro’s creation could have been LEAGUES better than what he was giving them. That he was faking his poor ability to draw in using his powers. The subtlety in Izou’s “What a great actor” comment/compliment. He is angry but still can’t completely shrug off that bond they had. That he thought they had. My god I love the red scabbards so much.

God I’m so proud of Momo ;;; He really is trying to fight back. Kanjuro fucking snapping when Momo draws blood in striking at him with the knife. A member of the Kozuki family drawing his blood that sends Kanjuro into a brief craze. God this is so good.

Awww nooooo Kiku tearing up and wanting Kanjuro to say it to her face that all that time together, the bond they built as a family, that it really was all a lie before she attacks him. God Kanjuro’s betrayal has hurt them so deeply. They loved Kanjuro. They all mean so much to each other. Kiku darling, sweetheart, I’m so sorry. But also Kanjuro saying he IS full of emotions again. God, I wonder if he really does feel that love for them. He feels that bond. But he’s so detached from his emotions that to him it is just that person is his role. That person is a performance. But that person is also real. Kanjuro says he sees their tears as compliments of his acting, but I wonder if deep down, beyond his own awareness, he wants them to mourn him.
