I didn't manage to get on the sdmp grind when the server started (I only recently got yoinked back into the world of mcyt) but I really wanna start watching it!!! Any recommendations on who/where to start? 🙏🙏

I’d recommend at least trying to start with the day one vods or just day one edited videos if you want to stick with going in order. But honestly, I don’t think it really matters where you start.

Personally, I like to watch Connoreatspants, Pokay, Lukabigpants, Joko, IamTy, Jschlatt, and Jawsh. Everyone on the server does different things, so just take a look around and see what you like.

A lot of the sdmp streamers posts their vods onto YouTube. Here is a list to some channels that have posted vods (sorry if they’re not the official vods channel for these streamers):

Obviously these aren’t vods from everyone on the server but it’s a decent amount for right now. If you want shorter edited videos there are some that post that on their YouTube channels: Sneegsnag, Pokay, CaptainSparkles, Sinjin Drowning, and Joko.

There is an augmented weapon running around, and it's clearly a pomegranate, I've seen pomegranates before and trust me, this one's different. I'm actually rather surprised you didn't get like, any reports from your soldiers or anything.

This one's far too tall, can fly, and I've seen them with some weird ahh holy sword before. I've got a rosary here in my pocket and they didn't like, convulse or like have any reaction to it when I got close. No seriously, I swear on my grave when I say that not much happened.

But hey, what am I to say? I also know one of your soldiers ran away from battle, a sword object head I believe. But hey, maybe this is all bullshit in your sight, you seem to be VERY PARANOID afterall.

getting down to the nitty-gritty of trying to get to students to stop using ai on their assignments seems hard. i'm fairly sure any form of "you need to develop critical thinking skills, they're extremely necessary for every aspect of your life after school" is just going to bounce off them because relying so consistently on ai already tells me they aren't thinking of long-term consequences of their actions, which also goes for the environmental impact and plagiarism arguments. "ai is wrong most of the time" i hate to admit it but it Sometimes gives decent albeit generalized breakdowns and that's probably enough for them. not sure telling them that ai is just an advanced predictive text program is going to leave much of an impact either because it still sometimes gives them what looks like good results.

it just sucks because i am also incredibly mad at the school system for basically making the ultimate goal to get a good grade and completely throwing out the journey to get there. literally anything goes as long as you don't get caught. given how much freaking work gets shoved down our throats i get why students are turning to ai to save time on something they don't care about AND don't have time to do without sacrificing 99% of their free time.

i'm saying all this because i have to be a head ta for the first time this fall. i've been an undergrad ta but i wasn't managing the lab section and this was before ai happened. anyone have any tips to discourage it? i think one key is to be a really engaging teacher which i would also love advice on!
