Lamb, Snow Pea and Pomegranate Quinoa Salad

In the Summer, I may make a salad for lunch, dinner or both all week long! Whether hearty or light, this is the season for it. A salad is an easy meal, and it also makes good use of both leftovers and fresh Kitchen Garden harvest; so it’s also a pretty thrifty meal. And it can be as moreish as you want, like this bright, fragrant and delicious Lamb, Snow Pea and Pomegranate Quinoa Salad. Happy Thursday!
Ingredients (serves 2):
2 cups quinoa (I used a mix of white, black and red quinoa)
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
2 large fresh Wax Beans
5 fresh Garden Snow Peas
a dozen leaves fresh mint + smaller leaves for garnish
2 tablespoons olive oil
a small, ripe lemon
a pinch of salt and freshly cracked black pepper
1/4 large red onion
1/4 large pomegranate
1 leftover Rosemary, Thyme and Honey Lamb Rib
In a pot of salted boiling water, cook quinoa according to package’s directions, generally minutes until al dente. Once cooked, drain thoroughly. Set aside.
Fill a small saucepan to half-way through with water, and bring to the boil over medium-high heat. Stir in coarse sea salt until dissolved. Then, add Wax Beans.
Remove mint leaves from the stalks. Once the Beans, have been cooking for 6 minutes, stir in and Snow Peas. Cook, 4 to 5 minutes more.
Drain thoroughly, and plunge blanched Wax Beans and Snow Peas in a bowl filled with ice water and ice cubes, to stop cooking. Set aside.
Finely chop mint leaves and spoon in a salad bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, and squeeze in the juice of the whole lemon. Season with salt and black pepper, and give a good stir, until well-blended. 
Thoroughly drain Wax Beans and.
Finely chop red onion, and carefully release pomegranate seeds. 
In the salad bowl, combine quinoa (it should now be just warm), red onion and pomegranate seeds. Toss well to combine.
At this stage, you can chill the salad, from half an hour to as long as you wish. 
Or you can eat it warm.
Heat a small skillet over medium-high heat. 
Remove meat from Lamb Rib, and roughly slice. Add to the hot pan, and cook a few minutes, until sizzling. 
Scatter sizzling Lamb Rib chunks all over the salad, garnish with fresh mint leaves.
Serve Lamb, Snow Pea and Pomegranate Quinoa Salad immediately.

Bones, you have like the ghibli effect when it comes to food. You describe food in such a way I want to cook and consume anything. I want to be a little kitty cat filleting a squirrel and roasting it and picking out the bones for stew.
You’re just so passionate about food I’m like. I just go make turkey stock AT ONCE.
Did you know that squirrel stew used to be a "classic American dish"? It's the most popular favorite food of American presidents. They call it Brunswick Stew

They say the meat of squirrel is so tender it falls apart in your hands, once you braise it. I was even looking at how hunters process them, from dispatch to debone, and I found out that they're also SUPER easy to take apart because they store a lot of their fat on the INSIDE. Barely any separation of all the materials once you reduce a squirrel to its bare essentials.
The secret is that I'm always hungry, man. I love eating food. I love making food. I had a pupusa for the first time the other day from a bakery, and it was fresh out of the oven and I nearly cried. I write about food the way it makes me feel, which is VERY good.

AYO IT'S THE ONE WHO WAITS (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ❤
So probably over a year ago I showed a wip of this, and then I just never fucking finished it so thought I should post the unfinished version as I haven't posted any art for ages and haven't drawn anything for ages as well xD
This is my old attempt at my take on Narinder, the one who waits, from Cult of the Lamb, as when it first came out I was stupidly hooked on it, but then there were some sort of game bug happening so I stopped and then I haven't played until a couple of weeks ago again and damn there is allot of new things now! Anyway my design of this guy was inspired by someone, I sadly forgot who if I ever remember I will edit this, who decided to make their own take of him and make him into a sphynx cat, and as my old followers know I love them and making Narinder into one just fits him so well xD
I also pictured he would be pretty darn malnourished after all the time he was locked up, and scars that might never heal and so on, and I don't fully remember where I got the inspo for his outfit but I recall I looked at allot of different art and ingame stuff to create something that looks like it fits the universe, so yeah got nothing more to say really except enjoy! This is really old and unfinished but I still like it allot! ❤
