Text
These past nights of Laylat-ul-Qadr have utterly transformed me. For the first time in my life do I feel I truly understand my religion, I truly feel my submission to Islam. Yet, barely anything has changed. To the extent that I find it almost incomprehensible to articulate other than the repeated passage throughout the Qu'ran that this is a religion for a people who understand.
I have known my religion for many years. I have learned the rules of fiqh, the theology and philosophy and I have accepted this knowledge. Yet, for all my knowledge my soul was still caught between the rifts of religion and dunya. Like a poor soul caught between rocks and a rising tide -- overpowered on all sides. Suddenly, it is like I have learned to breathe underwater. I have been dragged under the waves of my religion and discovered absolute peace as I have let go of this dunya.
It is the most subtle and nuanced of changes in my perception of my world and my religion and yet it has had such a profound effect on me. I praise Allah for lifting the veil on my heart; for allowing me to pray tahajjud; to no longer see the attraction in sin; to truly feel the peace of my religion; to see the beauty of ramadhan, and; to finally feel as one of the guided ones.
I have by no means reached piety. I have so far to grow. But I finally feel peace in my heart, sabr in my soul, and submission in my mind.
Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Allah, Wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Rasulu-Allah

01.April.24 #RamadanDay21
THE NIGHT OF THE DECREE
Dear Self,
Assalammualaykum. As I sit down to write this essay, memories of Ramadan flood my mind. The purest month of the Islamic calendar, a month filled with blessings, mercy, and forgiveness. And in the midst of it all, there is one night that holds special significance – Laylat-ul-Qadr. A night that is better than a thousand months, a night where the doors of Jannah are open, and prayers are accepted. Dear Self, as you reflect on your journey through life, I want to remind you of the importance of this holy night.
Since the day I remember, the shifting of time, day and night, has always fascinated me. But none more so than the blessed nights of Ramadan. We were taught from a young age in madrasa about the significance of Laylat-ul-Qadr and the power of seeking Allah's blessings on this night. It was always a moment of anticipation, hoping to witness this blessed night and receive mercy and forgiveness from Allah (SWT).
The surah Al-Qadr plays a vital role in the last ten days of Ramadan. It is a short but powerful chapter of the Holy Quran that highlights the immense blessings and mercy of Allah (SWT) on Laylat-ul-Qadr. In just a few lines, it emphasizes the importance of this night and the opportunities it provides for us to seek forgiveness, increase worship, and strive for a better relationship with Allah (SWT). It serves as a reminder to us that this night is not to be taken lightly. It is a night that can change our destiny, and we must seize every moment of it.
Dear Self, as you reflect on this special night, never forget to seek Allah's mercy and forgiveness. The du'a for forgiveness, (O Allah, I have wronged myself greatly, and there is none to forgive sins but You, so forgive me with Your forgiveness and have mercy on me. You are Forgiving, Merciful.) has been passed down to us as a reminder of our human nature and Allah's immense mercy. Let us continuously seek His forgiveness, mercy, and acceptance, not just on Laylat-ul-Qadr but every day of our lives.
Dear Self, as we strive to become better versions of ourselves, let us remember that our journey through this dunya is temporary. Our ultimate goal is to attain Jannah, and Laylat-ul-Qadr is a night that brings us closer to that goal. So, let us not waste this precious night in frivolous activities, but rather, let us spend it in prayer, remembrance of Allah, and seeking His forgiveness.
As I conclude this letter, I want to remind you, dear Self, to continue to seek Allah's guidance and blessings. Let us strive to make the most of every moment and make every day like Laylat-ul-Qadr. Let us love and seek the pleasure of Allah (SWT) not only in this dunya but also in the hereafter.
Loving you from this dunya and hereafter,
Soul.

Unearth the Night of Power: 5 Authentic Signs of Laylatul Qadr Revealed!
Can we see Laylatul Qadr? Laylatul Qadr could also be seen with the attention, for the one whom Allah helps to see it. That’s by seeing its indicators. The Sahabah (could Allah be happy with them) used to acknowledge it by its indicators. However not seeing them doesn’t imply that one won’t achieve its reward, if one spends that night time in prayer out of religion and the hope of reward.…

Imām ibn Baz stated that some of the Salaf said:
If within the odd nights there is the night of Jumu'ah/Friday, then this is the most likely & closest to being Laylat-ul-Qadr.

A Series of Reminders About The Month of Ramadan - No.23
‎What To Recite In The Last Ten Nights Of Ramadan.
‘A`ishah رضي الله عنها reported: I asked: “Oh Messenger of Allah! If I know which night is Laylat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I supplicate in it?”
He ﷺ replied:
“You should supplicate:
اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعف عني
'Allaahumma Innaka 'Afuwwun Tuhibbul 'Afwa Fa'fu 'Annee’
(Oh Allah, indeed You are the One who pardons and You love to pardon; so pardon me).”

The Laylat-ul Qadr [Night of Decree]
Narrated Aisha,
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to practice I`tikaf in the last ten nights of Ramadan and used to say, "Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan.
[Sahih Bukhari 2020]
Aa'isha reported that she asked: "O' Messenger of Allāh ﷺ! What if I knew which night Laylatul-Qadr was, then what should I say in it?"
He ﷺ said: "Say:
"اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي"
[O' Allāh you are the one who pardons, and loves to pardon, so pardon me].
Also don't forget to make dua for our brethren in Palestine. May Allah Azawajal alleviate them from this trial and shower upon them his mercy and rahmah. Ameen!

“Laylat-ul-Qadr is worth 83.33 years of ibādah…
Every hour is equivalent to 8 years of ibādah…
Every minute is equivalent to 50 days of ibādah…
If it happens not to be Laylat-ul-Qadr, then it’s definitely a night you can be freed from the Fire in it.
It’s a win-win either way.”

Sister, this Ramadan I'm praying Allah guides you away from posting dumb things, ameen.
+ do you understand, on any level, that posting things in unrelated driver tags GUARANTEES that people who DON'T want to see what you have to say, will actually see it and be annoyed with you? Is this a confusing concept to you?
You can even keep me in your Laylat-ul-Qadr prayers if you want, and pray Allah guides you to focus on what’s truly important🫶🏽
If people find more issue in finding a call-out post in their fav driver’s tags instead of institutional racism, then that’s their problem🤷🏽‍♀️ other people brought focused on other drivers, so now why can’t I? I mentioned someone in tags because he wasn’t that important to the discussion but that is what people focused on; that’s not on me
